Very nice and educated photographers. Captured hundreds of beautiful moments from the wedding. The photographers were well prepared and knew how to capture pictures with excellent lighting. Also the pictures were available in a short period of time all while being very well done and excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Michael and Joannie make an amazing husband and wife team. They were so professional and fun to work with. Our wedding pictures are absolutely stunning, and I am so happy that we chose them to capture our day. Both Michael and Joannie took pictures , so not only do we have beautiful pictures of ourselves but we also have fun action shots, as well as pictures of our guests and our decorations- they really captured our WHOLE day.

A few weeks after the wedding, we received a highlight video that included a small clip of my dad and I walking down the aisle. We chose not to have a videographer and receiving the highlight video is something we will treasure forever! Mike and Joannie are so talented and went above and beyond. Michael and Joannie were amazing to work with! Not only on the day of our wedding, but in preparing for the big day and for our engagement photos. Michael replies to all questions promptly and brings years of experience to the table, which shows in his photos. In capturing our special day, Michael was patient and took the time to make sure he got the perfect shots. Joannie was especially helpful with making sure every one in the group looked "just right" - body turned at the camera right, head tilts, dresses fanned out, etc. They made a great team!

We were so pleased with our engagement photos! We knew we wanted an outdoor park setting but were not sure where. Michael recommended Hidden Falls Park in St. Paul. When we arrived, the park road was closed due to high water levels, but he packed up Lightning McQueen and we walked to the falls. The photos were amazing and we are so happy with them.

From start (securing engagement and wedding date photo shoots) to finish (putting together our wedding album), Michael Anderson Photography was the best experience we've EVER had being photographed! We are a little bit older, so we've had some experience in life. We were particular about WHO we chose to photograph us. We wanted it to be a seamless experience, and we definitely got that. Michael is very responsive to voice mails, emails, and text messages. We were thrilled to meet his wife Joannie, and see just HOW GREAT they work together. Michael Anderson and Joannie Anderson were very good and professional. I had a specific request to take pictures of during the vows when I read the "Mans Prayer" from the red green show, They did a really good job capturing the fun and frivolity people were employing during said vows. In addition, their candid shots were great, All in all they were very fun to work with and I highly recommend them for any picture taking engagement you may have.

Michael and Joannie are amazing! We chose them because they had photographed my friend's wedding a few years back. I knew we were in good hands to choose them for our wedding. They are so personable and friendly. They get just as excited about your big day as you do! We had a very specific theme (50's diner/Back to the 50s) and Michael was ready to highlight all the work we put in to making that theme a reality. He and Joannie even came dressed for the part! We also ran in to the issue of not having much room to get staged photos and it was too cold to do outdoor photos, but he made it all work in a way that eased my stress. He turned the pictures around quickly as well. Its been just over a week since the wedding and we already have our gallery ready and available to make selections for prints and other photo items. They all turned out absolutely amazing. I highly recommend Michael and Joannie!

The entire wedding planning process was made easier by working with Michael and Joannie. From the first time they invited us into their studio, through engagement pictures, a few planning meetings, and ultimately the big day, they exceeded expectations. They arrived early, stayed late, and added their own truly unique touch with the light painting. You will not regret spending the extra money on the Andersons - in a market absolutely saturated with amateurs they are a can't miss photography team, and well worth the higher price for the more extravagant packages.

Michael and Joannie were truly unbelievable for our January 19th wedding. They were professional but fun, knowledgeable, flexible, and lend a helping hand when need be. We were in a tight time crunch trying to get our wedding photographer booked. We were lucky fo find someone as good and easy to work with as Michael and Joannie. They were even able to fit us in for a engagement session a couple weeks prior to the wedding a couple hours north of the Twin Cities and had a ton of great locations. We even lucked out with one of our pics having a bald eagle flying in the background! Our light photograph will be cherished forever too. As the mother of the bride, I wanted everything to be close to perfect as possible. I wanted to make sure that we picked the best fit for the bride and groom so that they would be relaxed on their wedding day. We got our engagement and wedding pictures done with them. They were very professional and fun to work with. The photos turned out amazing and even went outside in the freezing cold to capture the gorgeous winter photos!! We hired Michael to do our engagement and wedding photos for our December wedding. He was so easy to work with and made the process enjoyable. Our engagement photos were done in the middle of July on a very hot day and on our wedding day there was 5" of snow. Both days he was so upbeat and never made us feel like it was a chore. Joannie was also so amazing to work with on our wedding day. She was so sweet and fun! And, of course, all of our pictures turned out amazing!!

One of the best parts of having Michael and Joannie take pictures is Joannie’s Spontaneous pictures. My favorite picture of my dad and I was taken by Joannie on the way to do my first look. My dad happened to be in the hallway we got “Dad’s first look” which wasn’t planned at all. For Christmas I was able to frame one of the pictures and give it to him. My dad honestly almost cried because he thought the picture was so beautiful.

Michael and Joannie made our wedding day perfect! They were patient and professional. They had a lot of ideas for places to take beautiful photos since they have been doing wedding photography for many years. We went to the Arboretum and we found gorgeous settings for our wedding party photos. Michael knew exactly how to get amazing portraits even though the was a little rain during our photo shoot. Our engagement session was a lot of fun with Michael! He is easy to talk to and works at a comfortable pace. He's not bossy, or overly artsy, nor are his photos mundane. He talked us through the process so he knew exactly what kind of pictures we wanted. When he and Joannie photographed our wedding, it was raining a little but they were creative and helped us get some fantastic pictures despite the rain in the morning. Also he does this special photography called "light painting" that no other Twin Cities photographer does, so if you want pictures that really look different from the rest of the photographers' around here, he is the man! If you haven't decided on a location yet, ask Michael first for ideas because he's been everywhere. You will NOT be disappointed with your pictures! I highly recommend him!

Michel and Joannie did a fantastic job at my wedding last month on July 27th, 2018. They worked very hard trying to capture every special moments at our wedding. The pictures turn out great!!! I wish I could order more pictures from them but do to limited budget, I may only order 1 or 2 wedding photos from them. I highly recommend them!

Can't say enough about Michael and Joannie! They are so professional, detail-oriented, fun, and warm to work with. When working with small children, Michael makes funny gestures to calm crying toddlers and to catch their attention so they would smile when he takes the picture. I always adore their works especially their light painting pictures that they have taken for other people and couples in the past. The way they photograph is very unique in color and lightning and that is what I like about them. When I looked at my wedding photos, I was so pleased with the results. I couldn't believe those pictures were mine because they look so gorgeous and beautiful.

Michael and Joannie went so above and beyond for our wedding photography. We had them running around to 3 different locations throughout the day, and they were always waiting for us when we arrived and were so flexible and creative with our unique ideas about pictures at a brewery and the science museum. We could not be happier with how the pictures turned out - we want all of them. Also, the light painting they do at each wedding is unique to them and creates such a cool image. Also, you spend so much time with your photographers on the wedding day, and Michael and Joannie were experts at staying upbeat while keeping us on our time schedule. They are truly the reason our day went as smoothly as it did, and they stayed past when we had paid them for without complaint to make sure we got all the images we wanted of our reception.

Michael and Joannie are incomparable! We went with them because they were clearly passionate, they have made an investment in their equipment and seem to have new techniques all the time. However, all of that doesn’t compare to how they made us feel on our wedding day. The outdoor first look and ceremony went out the door when it down poured the entire day. Michael and Joannie were so flexible and were a bright light in keeping everyone calm and making amazing photos still work with the weather. We were able to take pictures under a shelter, with the fall leaves still visible, and then after the ceremony when the rain let up we took advantage and got some amazing dusk photos. The pictures we took inside were lit beautifully, as they brought the sunshine to us, and they look outstanding! We have received a ton of compliments on how great our pictures look. They were really fun to work with and I would recommend them to everyone!

I got married on January 19th, but I am still feeling the effects from all of our photos. Michael and Joannie were outstanding. I found them through the knot.com and weddingwire.com when I started my initial search, and surprisingly they were one of the first ones I stumbled upon and said YES to right away! I knew it was meant to be! I was looking for someone who lived down in the Twin Cities that we could meet with and take engagement photos, but still had the most knowledge and experience of the MN North Shore where we were going to get married. They did not disappoint!! Michael & Joannie were extremely knowledgeable about locations in both the Twin Cities and the North Shore which made me feel 100% confident that our pictures would turn out amazing. After our first meeting with Michael, he made us feel confident and excited for the next two sessions we would have (engagement & wedding day). We also met Joannie the night Brycen & I met Michael at our first meeting, which made our decision that much easier to have Joannie included in our wedding package and be there to help photograph our big event- she was so kind, warm, and both of them felt like our family members while getting ready- I did not even hesitate about anything! Our engagement shoot was a fun, relaxed, and an exciting experience! Afterwards, Brycen and I both looked forward to our big day the following Autumn. After seeing our wedding photos, we both could not be more blown away! Michael and Joannie were so much fun to have a part of our wedding!
