A friend recommended Michael Design Florist and they were one of our very favorite vendors! They were engaged, easy to work with, hardworking, and loved what they do! Their vision and talent for floral arrangements and colors was undeniable and perfect! They were always welcoming, friendly and personable during every meeting. They went above and beyond and helped us match napkin colors with the floral arrangements and a last minute floral bouquet on Mother’s Day, which happened to be the busiest time of year! EVERY SINGLE TIME the floral arrangements were absolutely GORGEOUS! We got so many compliments on their work! I saw one of their arrangements and based my whole wedding theme around it! I LOVED IT! I highly highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again!

Jim and Shaun did an absolutely amazing job! The flowers of our wedding were incredible and more than we could have ever imagined! Their pricing was on point and they were willing to offering options and solutions to fit your budget and/or save money! Jim Paulus and his team are the BEST! He is so lovely to work with and did an amazing job delivering flowers and arrangements that met my style and budget. Working with Jim was such a pleasure! He had great ideas and really helped us put our vision together. Our second meeting with him included mock ups of our center pieces and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Jim was very flexible and offered great advice. It was the cherry on top of an already great day when we walked into the venue and saw our vision in real life. We were SO pleased with how every little detail came together. Not only were the floral arrangements for my daughter's wedding absolutely stunning, but Jim Paulus was wonderful in ensuring that my daughter and her fiancé had exactly what they wanted. Any suggestions he made were consistent were consistent with their wishes and improved the overall effect. Michael Design Florist came through in a big, big way for us. Two weeks before our wedding, my original Florist called me to let me know that he could not fulfill our wedding requests; he is very ill. I called around to see if anyone could help us on such short notice and Jim & Shaun emailed me back right away-- while away on vacation. They rearranged their schedule to make sure that my wedding had flowers. They created the most stunning arrangements and exceeded my every vision, with only a handful images that I sent over for inspiration. I met with them a few days before my wedding and they were excited to show me what they had in mind and what they had already begun working on and I felt their love for their work. They have a true passion for what they do and their dedication to their customer is admirable. Even though they are about an hour from where I live, I will continue to patronize their business because of the kind people that they are and the incredible talent that they have.

Jim Paulus and Shaun Sexton of Michael Designs Florist are an absolute pleasure to work with. If you are engaged and looking for a florist, I highly recommend them! I primarily met with Jim for my wedding meetings. From the first email I sent him, to our two consultation meetings at his house, all the way up until the wedding day, he was friendly and easy to work with. He gave me great ideas on how to maximize my budget. He is extremely knowledgeable on horticulture and you can tell he's done a wedding a time or two! He is experienced in his craft and has wonderful suggestions. I think the best part about working with Jim, apart from him simply being a wonderful and kind person, was how I could just trust him to take care of everything! Weddings can cause stress for the bride and groom; however, I can happily say I had no stress at all on the wedding day! I walked in my venue and took a sneak peak of the ballroom while Jim and Shaun were setting up and it looked absolutely incredible! They had arrived on time, set everything up just the way I wanted, and even went the extra mile to add little things like lace on my mason jars. Another wonderful surprise was how he added extra roses on my centerpiece plates that I wasn't expecting! It is clear they love their job and take pride in doing the best job they can. The bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, and large floral arrangements at our ceremony site were all beautiful and well done. Thank you Michael Designs for helping to make our wedding so beautiful! It was a joy to have you be a part of our day!

The whole experience of working with Michael Designs was perfect! We met twice before the day, and both times were productive and fun, and the flowers were stunning. Jim is amazing - he is very easy to talk to, easy to get in touch with, and most importantly, he is a phenomenal artist! His ideas made our wedding flowers and tables come to life. My bouquet and all of the bridesmaids bouquets were delivered right on time to the place we were getting ready, and they were stunning! We had a nautical themed wedding, with red flowers and navy/white accents. Since it was a hot July day, we were instructed to keep the flowers in water as much as possible, and they looked perfect all the way through the reception - a full 12 hours after they were delivered! At the reception venue, the tables and decorations were also perfect. In the entrance room where the cake was displayed, Jim even designed a beautiful table with wooden ships surrounded by flowers that brought the whole theme together.

Shaun and Jim truly have an eye for creating beautiful flower arrangements. Everyone including myself was blown away when we saw the completed florals the day of the wedding. From the beginning, they were incredibly responsive and helpful with suggestions when I was having a hard time deciding. They did not disappoint, the flowers were more beautiful than I could have imagined and are very well priced. Looking forward to working with them again!

Michael Designs was a genius when it came to creating the flower design for my wedding. I gave him my ideas and colors and when I saw the result that day I was beyond blown away. I was looking for bright pinks and oranges - my bridesmaid dresses and tablecloths were pewter gray so I needed to get pops of color in there - and the roses, calla lilies, orchids, daisies were all out of this world. I wish there was a way to save more of them because they were beyond beautiful. Jim, the florist, was amazing to work with as well. He was so friendly, responsive, and knew my thoughts on the flowers before I could even speak them, I did not have a vendor for my wedding that was better to work with. He responded to every email extremely quickly and was very flexible with everything I needed. I would recommend Michael Designs in every way possible for your wedding and I hope I can find a reason in the future to use him again.

I hired Jim Paulus of Michael Design Florist for my September wedding in Annapolis and HIGHLY recommend this vendor. I had a very particular vision for my table arrangements and Jim completely blew us away with his attention to detail and floral design. Jim was responsive and flexible, which I very much appreciated as I am not from the Annapolis area. If you are looking for an amazing florist for your wedding I would definitely recommend reaching out to Jim.

They did an absolutely fabulous job. I am not the biggest fan of flowers, but the bouquets they designed we so beautiful they brought tears to my eyes. Their work is stunning and I can't thank them enough!

I asked for a lot of watery blues and greens and a very natural look and what I got took my breath away. Everything was held together by what they helped create. It was just the feel I was going for, and I never even though I cared about the flowers part of a wedding. Excellent job!

This small florist shop in Annapolis is amazing! The 2 owners Michael and Jim are outstanding in their design and customer service. They helped with ideas, colors and worked hard to make it work. I would use them again and again for many events.

I found Michael's Design Florist on accident over Valentines weekend and just showed up at the door without an appointment to see if they would give me a consult. Even on this crazy busy weekend, Jim gave me his full attention and listened to my ideas. He pulled several flowers from his on site shop and gave me a real feel for what the color combinations, fullness, and exoticness of each idea would be. I ultimately chose to go with bright colors and I was so pleased with the result. My bouquet was gorgeous, and really well filled out with flowers, not filler, in fact, there was no filler. It was all flowers! And not just traditional, boring roses, but really neat, exotic, lush, fresh flowers with many textures that really had a WOW factor. Jim helped me get everything I wanted within my budget, even the red Calla Lilies I was dying to have. He was great to work with over phone and e-mail after we met, since I was planning the wedding from out of state. Everything Jim did, from decorating the cake and spreading loose petals and blooms on the reception tables to creating gorgeous bouquets and corsages to helping me brainstorm ideas (such as adding flowers to the flower girls' hair) was elegant, high-quality, and fresh. Everyone who sees my wedding pictures comments on the flowers before they even notice anything else. The flowers were just amazing. AMAZING! I really can't beleive the quality of flowers and vision I received for the price I paid while working with Michael Designs. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for gorgeous flowers, good service, an artistic eye, and an enthusiastic wedding vendor.

Michael Designs recently did the flowers for my wedding and I cannot express how perfect these two are! I visited 2 other florists who both told me what they could do for my wedding rather than listening to my ideas before meeting with Michael and Jim. Instead of telling me what they wanted to do, Jim and Sean they listen to me and came up with creative ideas to incorporate my desired wedding colors! My bouqout and the reception flowers were even more beautiful that what I imagined. Absolutely perfect in everway - very full, natural looking and perfectly crafted! I cannot thank Jim and Sean enough for all of their hard work on my wedding - simply terrific and more than talented florists!
