Personally, I’ll totally take timeless and authentic over trendy any day. For me, authentic moments always make for more relevant, beautiful, and personal photographs. Because of this, it’s truly important to me that your wedding pictures say something real about you and who you are as a couple at the beginning, on this day together. Below are a couple of the things I’ve learned in my 8 years as a full-time wedding photographer. Photo-journalism- The most wonderful wedding pictures happen when couples and their loved ones are having an amazing time just being themselves. Occasionally I’ll bring you and your friends into beautiful light, but mostly I’m anticipating and making great photos of moments which really captures the spirit of the day. A relaxed portrait-style approach- With portraits, couples appreciate being given some direction as it helps them feel more confident, but I believe in also encouraging them be themselves. A little bit of direction while leaving room for the spontaneous makes for wonderful pictures of real people. Lastly, being a wedding photographer is my privilege and my joy. And joy is an important part of what makes me, me. And on your wedding day, you can bet I’ll do everything I can to help you have a great time and savor the joy. Just like beautiful photos, joy deserves to be shared:) So, is this is ringing any bells for you? If so, I’d love to talk more about your plans!
