Michael John Photography

could not have run more smoothly. And of course, the pictures are so beautiful! He took a perfect combination of portraits, candids, and detail shots. The photos truly capture how happy my husband and I were throughout the day and I am so happy we can relive our day through these photos for years to come. He brought a second shooter and an assistant with him, and they were just as great!! One even helped me with a dress emergency when taking photos at my parent’s house (Thanks Briana!!!!!) I would highly recommend him and his team if you want beautiful photos and to be laughing all day long!

r. He’s thorough, fair, and runs the day perfectly without being overbearing. He got every shot we wanted and more—and he’s hilarious on top of it. Mike is the best. If you need a photographer, he’s your guy.

ing planning as smooth as possible (we joke that he was our de facto wedding planner!) From the start, he was accommodating, communicative, and genuinely reassuring during what could have been a stressful time. When I mentioned my preferences to optimize lighting for our very diverse, multiethnic wedding party, as well as our families, Mike went above and beyond to ensure that we all looked our best in every shot. His attention to detail truly made a difference. On the wedding day, he gave clear, helpful directions without ever being pushy, and his calm, positive energy was a joy to have around. And most importantly, every single photo turned out amazing! On top of being a fantastic photographer, Mike is just an all-around great person and every member of his team is a pleasure to work with. Thank you, Mike, for capturing our day so perfectly!

bout his craft. He created a detailed timeline that covered all the shots we wanted, ensuring that everything flowed smoothly throughout the day. What truly stood out was his calm demeanor—he kept everything relaxed and enjoyable, even during busy moments. His ability to crack jokes and keep the conversation light made us feel at ease, allowing us to be ourselves in front of the camera. Additionally, he was so accommodating, even going above and beyond to capture extra family shots that weren't originally planned in the timeline. The results were nothing short of amazing—every photo was beautiful, capturing the essence of the day perfectly. We couldn't be happier with our experience and the stunning photographs that we will cherish forever. Highly recommend!

k were absolutely incredible; we can't believe how beautiful they all look! We can't wait to work with him again on our wedding day. Edit post- wedding: I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mike, his second photographer Gabby, and his assistant Mike (who so thoughtfully fluffed out my huge train the whole morning). My husband and I loved how fun and easy he was to work with. I think the best way to describe him is that he takes his work very seriously while not taking himself too seriously. My husband and I were looking to have fun on our day, and Mike had the perfect vibe for that. He kept the mood light and respected and supported us throughout the day. Leading up to the wedding, he was so great with creating our timeline, explaining how the day would go, and also making sure that he knew our special request shot list. One thing I really appreciate in hindsight is that I was never sick of taking pictures. We got all the pictures we wanted to take while also fully enjoying our day and not feeling like pictures were monopolizing our time. Mike and his team did outstanding work, and we'll cherish our wedding pictures for the rest of our lives!
