Michael Lance Barrett Wedding Officiant

We can't thank Michael enough for the wonderful job he did on our intimate mini-wedding! We hired Michael before COVID for our large wedding ceremony but due to the pandemic we had to scale back for 2020. Michael was with us every step of the way and helped us create a beautiful ceremony for our day. He provided many options and readings to help us create the ceremony we wanted. He was responsive to all of our questions and listened to what we wanted. Our day was perfect and Michael executed our ceremony perfectly and exceeded our expectations.

My (now) husband and I are not particularly religious, so were looking to have our ceremony at the same place as our reception and not in a religious venue. We received a recommendation to consider Mike as our officiant from one of our vendors that had worked with him before. I initially talked to him on the phone and then set up a chance for us to meet in person. What comes across *immediately* is that he loves to do this. This was one of the many reasons we picked him without even considering other options once we met with him. We really benefited from the fact that he has done so many different types of ceremonies and worked with so many different couples. When we worked with him on our ceremony he shared several examples, which allowed me to pull together the pieces that spoke to us. You could tell it was important to him to get to know us as a couple and that he spent a lot of care/time in planning our ceremony. One example of this is he showed us a Spanish language blessing of rings he had and suggested we incorporate it as a tribute to my husband’s Peruvian background. Something we wouldn’t have even though of, but loved as soon as he suggested it. We received so many compliments on our ceremony, I know it is a direct result of Mike. He is a wonderful choice I would recommend to anyone looking for an officiant.

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Michael Barrett for our wedding on 10/4/15. He is such a great person to get to know and he took the time to sit down with us to learn what we wanted for our ceremony. He was sensitive to our different religions and was able to provide a beautiful ceremony and meaningful readings that had everyone in tears of joy. I will cherish our ceremony forever.
