The pictures Michael took on our wedding day were beautiful! He was so accommodating with all the craziness Covid caused in our wedding planning. We cannot thank him enough for that! Michael was so kind and made our day even more special with the amazing photos he took. I cannot recommend Michael Nguyen Photography enough for your wedding or special event!

You can read this long detailed review or you can just follow my advice and hire him for your wedding! My wonderful sister-in-law helped me find Michael out of thousands options online and boy am I glad she did. I reviewed his work on his website, then his look book, and I was hooked by his artistic photographs. Then I met him in “person” (ok, Zoom, but that’s as close as we could get at that point during Covid times) and we hit it off right from the get go. He’s very professional, but yet down to earth and easy to work with. This was my first time hiring a photographer for any event and while he has probably done more weddings/events I than I can count, he never made me feel silly for asking probably some of the most basic of questions. My experience working with Michael over the months before our wedding is that he is prompt in responding to any questions I had, organized, kept us on schedule, as well as was just a joy to meet with. We had most of our meetings booked for an hour and I found that even though we could have accomplished what we needed to in maybe half an hour and ended the meeting there, I enjoyed talking to him so much that I found myself staying on for the full hour. He helped me navigate through the day’s timeline to ensure that I was able to schedule the appropriate amount of time so that I could get all the pictures I wanted of our special day. That was a huge help. Now to the day of our wedding. Our photographer was always set to be with us the entire scope of the day, so their demeanour and overall attitude plays a big part in setting the tone. Michael and his second photographer, Njeri, were exuding joy and love the throughout and were just plain fun, I don’t know how else to describe it. My entire bridal party of 15 people kept commenting how much they loved them both, so much so that everyone was telling me they “wanted to steal my photographer,” which I’m fine with, but maybe not on my wedding day, lol. Now to the photos themselves. You know how everyone is always asking the couple, when are you going to get your photos back, I can’t wait to see them, do you have them yet, what is taking so long? Well, we didn’t have to wait at all. We had our wedding on a Saturday evening where Michael and Njeri didn’t leave until 10pm and by 9am Sunday morning, we already had our sneak peak! I couldn’t believe it, I was ecstatic. I mean wow, talk about a quick turn around! It hadn’t even been 24 hours and we were able to view our first photos as a married couple. Not only was it fast, but the photos were beautiful, they were exactly what I was envisioning for my memories. The rest of the photos were sent over only two and a half weeks later, which is so quick. Most of the other weddings I’ve been in or gone to, they take months to get back. And don’t think his speed diminished his quality, not one bit. The photos he sent back were amazing, high quality, and in the artistic mode I was looking for. My husband and I look over the photos it feels like we are there with all the emotion of the day through the photos. Getting the photos was super simple. I was able to easily download the images on a Google album and share them with family immediately and easy to send over to your favorite print shop. My husband and I can’t stop looking at them as it brings back the joy we felt that whole day. In short, Michael was able to capture the beauty and love of our wedding day and for that I can’t thank him enough.

We were one of the unfortunate couples that had to postpone their wedding. One year later, we decided to cancel our wedding. Although super disappointing, we wanted to keep photos of us in our wedding suit and dress. Michael was extremely flexible, planned everything and made the day very special for us. He is very amiable, and for us, that was extremely important. We aren't naturals in front of the camera, but he made us feel relaxed and this beautiful, candid moments really made our photos special. Yes, you are hiring the photographer for their skills. But your should also consider the person behind the camera. You want someone to make you feel special and bring light into your day.

Michael was amazing to work with! When our original plans shifted, he photographed two very special days for us - our small ceremony in June, and larger wedding celebration in September. Throughout it all, he was professional, communicative, flexible, and a delight to have with us. Last but not least, we love the photos and his fantastic eye for capturing beautiful moments!

Michael is absolutely the best. From the engagement photo shoot to the final wedding book, everything was perfect. He fit right in with our wedding party & made the day fun & exciting. He’s really great at listening to your ideas & bring his own as well. Our wedding is captured in timeless photos.

Michael was excellent to work with. He was approachable right from the start. He was honest about his process and how he handles his craft. The wedding was December 21st (winter soltice) and even with the shortest amount of daylight he had no trouble capturing great and timeless shots. He takes the time to edit pictures right away. We received every single photo in less than 6 weeks, which is outstanding compared to other professionals in the business. He genuinely cares about the process and making sure he produces excellent photographs. Michael is professional, caring and does a great job building a relationship with his clients and meeting their needs on their wedding day. I highly recommend going with Michael for your Chicagoland wedding!

Michael totally crushed it for our wedding photography. He went above and beyond at every single stage in the process. Michael is extremely professional and enthusiastic about his work and makes the wedding day all about the couple. His pricing is very fair and he delivered everything in the proposal. Very talented photographer who listens to his customers and makes great suggestions based on the couple he’s shooting.

Maybe the most epic shots of my lifetime were taken by Michael Nguyen Photography. I've never been more satisfied or excited to see something in print before (and since our wedding just happened, I've only seen about 30 of the shots he took as our "sneak peek" pictures, and they're INCREDIBLE). Let me walk you through this: First of all, Michael takes the time to really get to know you as individuals and as a couple. We live in California, but our wedding was in Chicago, so in order to meet we had to do our initial meeting via FaceTime. He listens, takes notes, and runs ideas past you for you to choose and get a sense of what kind of couple you are, and what type of photos you'll want. Second, we planned a trip to Chicago and decided last minute to do an engagement shoot there, to which Michael easily put together an agenda and places to take pictures, and also accommodated us last minute for the shoot itself (it was like Wednesday before and we shot all over Chicago Sunday AM before our flight back). Communication throughout our entire engagement was perfect. I'd send him inspirational pics on instagram, and he incorporated all of them (with a bit of our flare!) into our day. Lastly, the wedding day. We did a trolley around the city with various stops (all suggested by Michael, and because he knew us as a couple they were all perfect). He orchestrated a group of 20 people to various locations, told us what he wanted and what his vision was, and executed it. I've never felt more like a model in my entire life than after seeing those pictures. He also orchestrated the stops with the driver. I didn't speak to the driver at all except to say "thank you" and a bit of small talk. My husband and I just enjoyed the ride, knowing he had it all handled. One of the spots we chose did not work out due to tents being set up for a festival, but no big deal, Michael led us to another spot where my favorite picture was taken of the two of us. He's quirky, funny, kind and truly a friend of ours. I look forward to the day we move back to Chicago so we can spend more time together. Thank you, Michael. I know people always have regrets about their wedding day, but Michael would not be one of yours, should you choose to hire him as your wedding photographer. He really makes you feel special. We ADORE him.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with Michael’s services! He was attentive to all details, friendly and produced some amazing pictures! I could not be more happy and already have referred him to my best friend who is getting married soon. I consistently heard around the wedding time how much people in my wedding party enjoyed Michael. He made us all smile during somewhat stressful times. He’s highly recommended!

The entire experience of being serviced by Michael Nguyen Photography was nothing short of astonishing! To elaborate more on this review, I'm breaking it down to three sections; Photographer’s Aesthetic & Style, Professionalism & Personality. *Photographer Aesthetic & Style* The product quality in which I received was simply put, a work of art! If anything, understand that aesthetic and style is the editing/development of your photos and creative style that goes into it. +Aesthetic • In combination of the *beautiful tones, colors, and contrast*, everything meshed so well! You can truly see the time and effort Michael put into the final product to make it that much better. Me and my wife really loved not only our skin tones, but the tones of our multicultural and diverse groups of friends and guest. Through his aesthic, everyone’s skin tones in our photos beautifully popped in both the venue, and pictures that were taken outside the venue. This can be a tough thing for some photographers out there, but Michael delivered on it in every photo! + Style • Something that I really loved was the variety and look that the photos had that was taken by Michael. With his skill in creativity in *composition, framing, and lens choice*, the photos perfectly captured the story of the wedding day. All the emotional moments, beautiful scenery, and detail were put on display in full effect in the final product. *Personality* Having a highly skilled photographer who takes amazing pictures of the beautiful moments is great, however you’ll appreciate a photographer who has an amazing personality to go along with it as well. +Energy • You can really feel the excitement that Michael brings with him and it shows in the best way possible. I saw that positive energy on full display from beginning to the times beyond my wedding. This same energy made him very approachable throughout the entire experience. Even to the guest at my wedding who were meeting him for the first time, they were more than comfortable in interacting. After my wedding being the first experience with Michael’s services, I’m ready to book him for many more of my photography needs going forward. *Professionalism* +Communication • On a business interaction level, something that Michael provides on a top level is communication. Throughout the entire process, he was in constant communication with me and my lovely wife. Whether is was through text message, phone calls, or email, he has always been quick to respond. Even after the wedding, he was in constant communication with us and provided detailed follow ups for photo delivery and photo albums. • Too add on to the communication, while Michael is behind the camera, he is still an excellent communicator. He provided thorough and concise direction in posing for photos and bringing out the best version of who was in front of the camera. We were all so comfortable in front of the lens to the point as though we started to feel as if we were professional models lol. After me and my wife’s experience, I can happily recommend him! Trust me, do yourself a favor and reach out to him... and then book him.

Michael absolutely blew us away! I would recommend him to all of my family and friends. He was very professional and was super easy to work with. The photographer is someone that is with you throughout your entire day from getting ready up until those last photos on the dance floor, it was so great to have someone that we enjoyed spending time with all day long. Michael was able to come up with really cool looks and locations for us and also looked for our input on what we were looking for. He also turned around our pictures incredibly fast! We would both highly recommend working with Michael!

Michael is the BEST! We have nothing but amazing things to say about working with Michael and the work that he does. Michael was our wedding photographer for our December 2018 winter wedding in Chicago. From the start, Michael was so professional yet so fun to work with - I felt like I had hired one of my close friends to work with as our wedding photographer. Michael was such a fun part of the day. He did an incredible job the day of the wedding keeping everyone on track and making sure everyone was having fun. My wedding party and family have all commented about how fun he was to work with. He was amazing to work with, and we truly loved having him at our side for the whole day. Not only is he fun to work with, but he does an incredible job with the photos! His photos captured every moment of the day - even the tiniest of details - he did not miss a thing! He has a great variety of shots too - the little details of the decor/room/flowers, the guests that danced with us, our family, and both traditional and fun shots of us as a couple were all featured in our wedding photos and I could not be happier with how they turned out. Working with a new creative partner always makes me nervous because you never know how they'll be or how their work will turn out. As a designer and planner, I put a lot of time and energy into what I do so I have high expectations that the photographer will capture it all beautifully. Michael did this - he was so easy to work with, he was excited about the day, he took beautiful photos of the details and captured the personality of our clients. I could not have asked for a better photographer to work with on this event. I'm trying to figure out a way to get him out to California again so we can work together more often! I would highly recommend him to clients who are considering him as their photographer. He is so funny, professional and all around a talented guy. Michael Nguyen is one cool cucumber that oozes style, while he also is professional, realiable, organized, and has an eye for beauty and the ability to capture true moments. He captured all the love and joy at our wedding...without us even knowing he was there! He was somehow everywhere all at once. Love Love Love him.

I absolutely recommend Michael Nguyen for your wedding! My husband and I just went through our photos and we were able to relive the entire day! From the incredible artistic shots before the wedding to all of the amazing candid shots throughout the entire day, we are so incredibly happy with the way he was able to capture our special day. We cannot wait to share our photos with our loved ones and have our favorites printed. Literal goosebumps and tears going through them all. It was also incredibly easy to work with Michael. He was a professional from beginning to end and we cannot recommend him enough!!!
