I had first seen Mike's work when my friends posted their engagement shoot he did with them, and I was automatically in love with his timeless style, eye for the most perfect shots, and amazing use of lighting, vivid colors, and angles. Mike had several calls with me throughout the planning process and was always super tentative to his email and texting. His advice was always spot on and his personality was perfect to get my husband's introverted personality to come out of its shell. Mike helped me plan my wedding and timeline better than my wedding coordinator did, and was a guiding light in the stormy sea of wedding planning I had. On some of my worst, most stressful days of wedding planning just seeing an email from him would automatically lift my spirits and help me get back on the track of realizing what the day was all about. He never complains (even if you have him walk about two miles up and down hills and around a muddy wet farm... twice... and then he ruins his nice shoes to take the perfect photos) and he ALWAYS goes above and beyond what is expected of him (this goes for both the engagement shoot and the wedding day). The second shooter he had come to my wedding was also SO nice, helpful and calming throughout the wedding day stressors. From helping fix the train of my dress, to being the calming voice and kind smile that walked me in for my first look, I was so happy with Tanya as a second photographer. Looking back on videos my friends posted of that day I even saw Tanya taking pictures of special moments that happened between guests that I didn't even get to see in the rush of everything (the 50th anniversary dance of the sweetest family friends of mine). I will ALWAYS cherish that she was able to do that. I have only seen a sneak peak of my wedding day photos so far, but am already in awe as to how beautiful they are. Mike captured my wedding as the dream it was, so I can forever look back on it with a smile. Michael was the best decision I made when it came to hiring my wedding vendors, and I will ALWAYS recommend him to anyone getting married.

He spoke at length with us several times, answering all of our questions and advising us on the smoothest way to plan our day. He came to shoot our engagement photos a few months before the wedding, which was a great opportunity to meet him and get a feel for what the wedding would be like. The engagement photos came out beautifully and we used them for our wedding website. On the wedding day, Michael was very true to his “fly on the wall” approach. He knew exactly what to do and where to go in order to capture the best shots, and did so without needing us to advise or answer any questions. He had the day so thoroughly planned out, and was a reassuring presence throughout each step of the way. Every time I noticed Michael on our wedding day, he was hard at work discreetly capturing a special moment without interfering or making anyone uncomfortable. There were a few times were we took more posed shots and our party could've used a tad more direction but again, was looking more for a natural look anyway! He was also very responsive and gave us a lot of direction while planning (which I needed because I was sometimes unsure of what direction to go with certain things). He was very accommodating and even met up with us for drinks to go over our specific wants and needs. Highly recommend!!

Mike was organized and very responsive both before and after the wedding, and had a very quick turnaround, sending us our full wedding gallery just six weeks after the wedding. He was also very patient with us as we made many edits to the wedding album (again, quick turnaround every time we submitted a draft), and the final product is absolutely beautiful. He made everything easy for us and took gorgeous pictures. This was a huge relief as we had a covid wedding that was rescheduled many times and our original photographer was very inflexible, so we hired Mike instead and he stayed with us through multiple reschedulings until we were finally able to have the wedding. great photographer, he is also a kind person. Last year, he offered to come to our backyard reception and this year he was at our wedding the day after his wife had their second child! No matter the situation, from speaking on the phone to taking large family portraits, Michael made us feel comfortable and natural. Michael is professional, prepared, experienced, and most of all a truly great guy. Mike did such a fabulous job with our engagement photos and we were really looking forward to him taking our wedding photos, so we asked if he would be willing to travel for us.
