Mike Physick and Waves of Ages are awesome! I was able to go to my good friend Gary Apmadoc's wedding last May and experience these guys first hand. Not only were they a great co...
ver band, but they were playing all sorts of different music throughout the day in various groups. It did an amazing job of creating a warm atmosphere throughout the day. You guys rock, Mike! Thanks for entertaining all of us!
If you’re looking for an overall great wedding band, these guys are the right choice! We had different iterations of the band throughout the day (guitar and piano for the ceremony,...
a trio for cocktail hour, etc)
When we got to the reception, they had turned in to a five piece band with keyboards, guitars, and horns! They made our whole special day even better.
Besides how great they were in their performance, they’re all really easy to work with. We had requested a few 80’s songs that we thought were probably hard to cover, but they pulled it off flawlessly! It was so much fun.
Hire Waves of Ages!
My wife and I hired Michael to play for our wedding last year. I highly recommend Michael! He played for us for 5 hours total and kept us and our guests entertained all night. M...
ichael worked with us to help us pick the perfect songs for our ceremony as we were having troubles deciding on songs. Michael was very personable and attentive to our needs and concerns. He had our minds at ease very quickly.
The ceremony music was perfect and we asked Michael to extend the time for the reception because everyone was having such a great time listening and singing along with Michael. We had thought the reception would end early as there would be no band or dancing due to space restrictions but when Michael started playing drum beats of his guitar we had everyone dancing around the tables and singing along. Such a fun reception and Michael was definitely the highlight for our guests!
Last summer, Michael played for our reception in Temecula! We had a small destination wedding and hired Michael to play for a larger group when we returned to California. Michael...
learned three songs for us and then played from his extensive selection of music for the remainder of the evening. It was perfect! After the reception was over Michael even sat with a close group of friends and family around a giant campfire and played requests as we sipped on wine and shared stories – it was a special moment we will never forget! Thanks Michael!!!
We hired Michael to play for our wedding and reception in Newport Beach. From the first day we contacted Michael, his high level of professionalism set our minds at ease. He hel...
ped us pick the perfect music for our ceremony and even put together an original arrangement for us of a song that had special meaning. Michael played solo for our ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception! He was able to pick songs perfect for the moment and take requests from our guests. Michael was comfortable acting as an MC for us (as a last-minute request).
The reception was on the rooftop of a local hotel/restaurant and we were not able to hire a full band. As the reception went on Michael could see that our guests (80 of them) were in the mood to dance so he began looping songs as a “one-man-band” and even dig some beat-boxing. He had the entire party up dancing and it was an unexpected highlight for everyone! Everyone was amazed that Michael could play any type of music and we had to ask him to extend his time playing at the reception – which he was happy to do!
I highly recommend Michael to anyone that is working with a smaller space but wants to have the option to still have guests dancing. We did not miss having a band and were glad that we didn’t hire a DJ for the space. Michael is very easy to work with and extremely personable and since the wedding, we have continued to follow him and go to his shows for our date nights!
My wife and I attended our close friend’s wedding in Temecula and were very impressed with the musician that they hired. Michael created the perfect atmosphere playing a wide rang...
e of songs that everyone enjoyed. He was very personable and took requests from the guests. Michael played several songs as a one man band and did some crazy things playing beats on his guitar so that it sounded like a whole band. This was perfect for that time in the reception when some of us wanted to dance. He even played a version of Up Town Funk where he did some beat boxing and had everyone up dancing. I’ve never seen anything like this before from one guy with a guitar. We were very impressed and are sad that we don’t live in SoCal so we could go to some of his regular shows!
I would highly recommend Michael for your wedding! Michael was awesome and everyone enjoyed his music.
I hired Michael to play for our engagement party three months ago at our home in Laguna Beach. Michael played for 3 hours and was perfect! Michael came early and setup in a small...
space next in our back yard. Michael was playing as guests arrived and our guests couldn’t stop complementing on the music. He played everything and took requests! He was very easy to work with and went above and beyond to make our party a huge success. He was definitely the highlight of the evening for everyone!
We have already booked him and his band for our wedding this year and are looking forward to it
We hired Michael’s band “WAVES of AGES” to play for our reception. This band is amazing! They do it all. The band had everyone up dancing the entire reception. They played pop,...
country, R&B, Classic Rock, you name it. We had over 300 guests of all ages and everyone was entertained – young and old. Michael took special requests and had the band learn songs for the first dances and he was happy to act as MC for use during the reception which was an added bonus. I highly recommend Michael and his band!
Michael is truly a gem. He is incredibly talented, personable, accommodating, and you're missing out if you don't hire him for your event.

ngagement party. He is so professional. He was on time for the set up, and start time. When approached by guests with special requests, he was genuinely kind and accommodating when fulfilling their random asks.
My wife and I truly made a great connection with him, and can't wait to hear him play live again soon. He is just that good.
We met Michael a couple years ago and he always did such a great job at our events that we knew we had to hire him to play at our wedding. He is always punctual, professional and e...
ntertaining. We picked out some songs for him to play during the ceremony and he nailed them. He also played at our cocktail hour and everyone said how great he was. If you are considering live music and can’t make up your mind, you won’t be disappointed by Michael.
