Michael Riker Events was absolutely amazing for our wedding. From the start, he was incredibly organized. We met with him personally to discuss every detail we wanted for the day. We created a Spotify playlist, including a “do not play” list and a must-play list, which he used to get an idea of the type of music we wanted played to craft his set list. Besides Mike as our DJ, we had a saxophone player (@mrsmoothnsaxy) and a percussionist. Initially, I was concerned about how they would all mesh together, but it honestly turned out to be fantastic. Everyone was up and dancing the entire time, no one ever sat down. Our sax player was interacting with our guests, playing with most songs, dancing with everyone, it was such a fun vibe. Our percussionist was equally great too, allowing guests to go up and play the drums. It really got everyone involved. The MC (also Mike) was perfect. Kept everyone engaged the whole night. Great personality. He played some games with guests to get all the tables up and having fun. Mike also managed our photo booth, which was a huge relief. Since our wedding had a New York Rangers theme (we got engaged on the ice at MSG), he ensured the photo booth included Rangers props, to make it more personal. Overall, it couldn’t have turned out any better. It was a 15/10 experience, exactly how we envisioned it! Thanks Mike for a great night!

We used Michael Riker Events for our 10/16 wedding and he has done many weddings of my family in the past. We knew we had to use him. Mike is easy to work with, reliable and is truly great at what he does. He makes sure everyone is always up and dancing. Would highly recommend Mike and his staff for any wedding or event.

Mike and his MC were absolutely amazing! After being referred to them because the COVID rules changed my 50 person wedding to 150, I had no DJ. about 2.5 months before my wedding I was able to book Mike with his MC and they killed it! He had me make him a playlist of songs my now husband and I loved and he listened to it and make the best choice to see what would match up with the dance crowd! I would love to hire Mike even for a small event. Truly made the night one to never forget!!!

Mike did an amazing job. Great music had everyone on the dance floor. I higly recommend and will definitely use again for another event.

Mike was a pleasure to work with. He read the crowd perfectly and took our guidelines and put his own creative touch on it, making for an unforgettable time. Several guests asked us for the playlist after the event. We also had a family member sing a song for us and Mike coordinated with him and made everything go seamlessly. We couldn’t recommend Mike enough.
