Working with Mike for our wedding on August 7th was the BEST decision we ever made. When we envisioned our wedding reception, we were hoping for a packed dance floor from the start...
to finish—and boy, did Mike Riker and his team deliver! He far exceeded all of our expectations. Our wedding guests are still raving about the music and how EPIC the party was. If you are looking for entertainment for your next event, look no further than Mike Riker and his team.
What I loved most about working with Mike was his passion, attention to detail, and amazing suggestions. He tailored every single detail and song to exactly what we were looking for from the ceremony music to cocktail hour to reception. Our MC, Mike, was truly top-notch. He got the crowd HYPED and kept the energy level high the entire evening. The crowd was always entertained from grand entrances, to the table photo dash, and some fun naming a table captain. The music and vibes were so good that a limbo stick had to come out within the first 5 minutes of the dance floor opening!
The absolute icing on the cake was the amazing live musicians: Justin on the drums and Marino on the sax. They elevated the entire experience to another level. On top of the music, Chris did a great job running the photo booth. He even gave us an amazing photo album of all the pictures that we will cherish forever. If you want a team that will keep your guests dancing all night long and create unforgettable memories, look no further than Mike Riker!! THE BEST TEAM OUT THERE!!

We created a Spotify playlist, including a “do not play” list and a must-play list, which he used to get an idea of the type of music we wanted played to craft his set list. Besides Mike as our DJ, we had a saxophone player (@mrsmoothnsaxy) and a percussionist. Initially, I was concerned about how they would all mesh together, but it honestly turned out to be fantastic. Everyone was up and dancing the entire time, no one ever sat down. Our sax player was interacting with our guests, playing with most songs, dancing with everyone, it was such a fun vibe. Our percussionist was equally great too, allowing guests to go up and play the drums. It really got everyone involved.
The MC (also Mike) was perfect. Kept everyone engaged the whole night. Great personality. He played some games with guests to get all the tables up and having fun.
Mike also managed our photo booth, which was a huge relief. Since our wedding had a New York Rangers theme (we got engaged on the ice at MSG), he ensured the photo booth included Rangers props, to make it more personal.
Overall, it couldn’t have turned out any better. It was a 15/10 experience, exactly how we envisioned it! Thanks Mike for a great night!

He had me make him a playlist of songs my now husband and I loved and he listened to it and make the best choice to see what would match up with the dance crowd!
