We used Michael for DJ, Photo Booth, and officiant services. He was amazing! Everyone loved it! The words he spoke during the ceremony made everyone laugh and cry and they were perfect. The music was amazing and everyone was dancing! The photo booth was such a hit!

Michael was the PERFECT DJ for our wedding day! His uplighting was also amazing! We were dancing all night! Michael executed our direction perfectly, from song choices to introduction order to special requests to announcements! He took care to pronounce everyone's name as best he could, including a grandparent that was unable to attend. He was professional and communicative but not over communicative. A good DJ is one that you don't notice - one that just runs smoothly and keeps the energy alive! Cocktail hour was beautifully jazz and then the beats picked up through the night. Michael would easily be hired for our next event!
Mike did an incredibly job DJing our wedding! He took such care in getting to know us as a couple, and when the day of the wedding arrived, he was attentive to our needs and incredibly communicative. My husband and I were miked up for our ceremony, and our guests commented that they were able to hear and enjoy the vows we wrote for each other. During the reception, Mike had everyone up and dancing! His energy throughout the night kept the party going. Would definitely recommend him for your big event!

I can’t say enough about how incredible Michael was before, during and after the wedding. Our wedding day was absolutely spectacular because of him. He reassured us that everything would be perfect and he wasn’t wrong. He was worth every penny and I HIGHLY recommend you use Michael as your DJ if you want someone who truly knows what they are doing.
We just got married yesterday and I had to run on here to leave Mike the best review. He was our officiant and our DJ and he was absolutely amazing. From our first phone call with him up until the very last minute he left our wedding Mike was professional, easy to work with, and made everything run seamlessly. He made sure our wedding was exactly the way WE wanted it and made us feel seen and heard. He made us feel like we were his only clients. I don’t know how he does it, but he makes it look easy! And everyone loved his officiant services as well. He really takes the time to get to know his clients and it shows. 10/10 would recommend Mike to everyone I know!
Mike was our DJ for our wedding earlier this month, and we have so many positives to share! Mike stressed from our beginning meet-and-greet call that he wants to play music that is special to us – the night was filled with our requests, his recommendations, and great flow along the way. All our guests, across all generations, enjoyed the music. I’ve never attended a wedding where the dance floor was packed from the second it opened to the very last minute of the night! We wanted a unique processional/recessional for our ceremony, and Mike never said “no” to any of our asks – instead he made them happen with perfection, with seamless transitions between everything! We appreciate all of Mike’s advice, suggestions, humor, professionalism and dedication to make our night unforgettable! Michael was the DJ at our wedding this August and he was awesome! From the first phone call I had with him and beyond he was professional, welcoming, funny, and always emphasized his focus on making sure all of the music was exactly what we wanted throughout the entire course of our reception. Many of our guests said the music he played was perfect and one of the best, if not the best, part of our reception. I could not recommend Michael enough to anyone looking for a wedding dj, he made sure the dance floor at our wedding was packed all night and knew exactly how to hype up the crowd!
We had Michael as our wedding DJ last year in 2023. He was absolutely fantastic from the start! He's very thorough in making sure he captures all your sounds needs and scheduling it for your particular needs. He made sure we had perfect sound throughout our entire event, perfectly setting up very quickly outside due to rain delays. Michael made sure the dance floor was incredibly fun the entire time and only wish we were able to dance even longer. Don't hesitate and hire Michael for your wedding!

I don't have enough words to describe how fabulous Michael was for our wedding last month. We had a handful of phone calls (I'm not local, so I wasn't able to meet in person) before our wedding to discuss everything from timeline to vibes for each section of our day. He has an incredible guidebook with suggestions for everything from pre ceremony music to parent dances, introductions and more. He is super knowledgable about appropriate timing and building the music for the night, and he's very engaging and personable. He kept the party going right until the very end, and on top of that, he helped time everything perfectly. Transitioning from introductions to dances to cake cutting and all else the night entailed, he kept the night moving. I can't recommend Michael enough!!

He took the time to get to know us as a couple and incorporated that into our music, even day of adding in some special dinner music based on a line mentioned by our officiant during the ceremony! Mike was amazing. Not only can he read a room and tell exactly what the crowd wants to hear, but he will make EVERY part of your day go smoothly. He helps coordinate and is willing to help with anything else that needs to get done so your event is perfect! I recently got married and mike helped our whole wedding party stick together and even helped me plan to surprise my new husband with a song I wrote! He coordinated speeches, Introductions, You name it. Before our big event he gave us a packet that really helped with the overwhelming idea of picking music out. It is full of helpful ideas and everything which made my job as a DIY bride so much easier. 11/10 would recommend hiring him for your event. You literally will feel so at ease knowing you have a reliable person with common sense helping run your special day.

Michael provided DJ, up lighting, and Photo Booth services for my July wedding, and it was such a delight working with him and his team! He’s wonderful to talk to, very prompt at responding, and super attentive to our requests. I had some Chinese songs I want to play and he delivered perfectly a mix of Chinese and English songs during our reception and on the dance floor. The photo booth was a blast and we received both physical and digital copies of the pictures. We had lots of fun working with Michael and you can’t go wrong with him

Michael Simonetta was game changing for my fiancé and me when it came to planning the music for our wedding reception. We had our first phone call with him and he immediately put our minds at ease regarding the daunting task of entertaining all of the most important people in our life for six hours straight. Throughout the entire planning experience, he provided us with guidance and advice on how to make our very special night all that we wanted it to be. He was consistently easily accessible and responded to all of our questions and concerns in a timely manner and with professionalism. At the night of our wedding he took charge and carried out our plans to the tee, while also zigging and zagging with flexibility when we needed him to. Our guests raved about the music and his performance, which was perfectly commanding, yet didn’t steal the show. Michael has won The Knot’s Best Of award countless times, and now we know why. Choose him to be your wedding DJ if you want to have the best reception ever.

DJ Mike is truly the best!! He kept us on the dance floor all night, and honored all of our weird requests. Our reception was at the Branford House on the CT shoreline, and he was so familiar with the quirks of the space, and had speakers throughout the venue so that guests could feel like they were part of the experience no matter where they were seated. He was a pleasure to work with, and was a great emcee and dj. Thank you so much!!
Michael was an amazing DJ and exceptional showrunner/emcee! He works very closely with Farmington Gardens (our venue), so they were able to coordinate on timing for dinner, dessert, speeches, etc. Everything went so smoothly—no issues with anything! (And I’ve been to many weddings where music gets messed up during the ceremony). He perfectly executed the first set of dancing immediately after our First Dance—everyone was out on the dance floor and the energy in the room was unmatched! When dessert was ready, the majority of the guests left the dance floor but he knew which songs to play while everyone was away and knew how to get them all back out on the floor when they were all done. As an emcee, he was so lively and energetic—never pushy or annoying. In addition to DJ services and lighting (which comes included in his DJ package!), we also got the photobooth which was an absolute HIT! At the end of the night, he gave us the photobook with all of the pictures AND a flash drive so we were able to post all the funny pictures to Facebook and send to friends and family. We highly recommend Michael as a DJ. Our wedding was the best night ever with a major thanks to him!
Mike is amazing! We had talked to a few DJ's before talking with Mike and our initial phone call lasted so long! We found that we had so much in common and he really seemed to understand what we were looking for with our music for our big day. He sent us a packet with a whole list of songs that we were able to go through to help us narrow down what we were looking for. We didn't have to worry about anything, he set up and was able to do music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception flawlessly. Mike offers a photo booth that we were on the fence about doing but we are so glad we did, it was a huge hit and the photos we got to go home with are priceless! Mike made the whole day a piece of cake and really hit the nail on the head. We had a large wedding with big wedding parties and lots of little special moments/announcements and Mike made sure we had everything we needed to make our day that much more special and personalized. My cousins played our cocktail hour and Mike was gracious enough to bring not only all of the equipment they needed, but his assistant as well to make sure that their sound stayed solid all hour long! Michael Simmonetta is amazing! My husband and I believe that the DJ is the most important vendor in a wedding and Michael did not disappoint. Great communication up to the wedding, including seamlessly adjusting the date due to covid. Michael provided all the sound equipment for the ceremony/reception and worked well with the venue and officiant to help coordinate the sequence of events throughout the day, even without a rehearsal. As a DJ, he did a nice job of getting to know our music preferences but also reading the vibe in the room and catering to the audience - we were so happy to see so many people dancing! He also handled our after party for a very reasonable price, sticking with us for 12+ hrs. If you hire Michael for your wedding or event you can rest assured you are getting a consummate professional and an overall great guy - highly recommend!

Mike is fabulous-he’s thorough, attentive, reassuring, and a welcomed presence of calm through the crazy. He stuck with us through rescheduling due to the pandemic, and had been nothing but phenomenal during the process, just calling to check in with how we are holding up.

I've known Mike for years from his help with our non-profit work so it was easy when I was looking for a DJ for our wedding - I knew exactly who it was going to be. Mike's super professional, well organized and super personable. He listened to all our needs, catered to our pretty demanding requests (we picked some pretty unique songs), was honest with me with ideas I had, provided great feedback with regards to timeline, and answered any of my question. He also worked with my cousin who played live ukulele for the ceremony to make sure it was going to run smoothly the day of. His equipment is high quality sounding, the up lighting created a nice ambiance and I knew I didn't have to worry about any equipment failures. During the day of, he was on time, helped us stay on our strict timeline, and had everyone up and dancing the entire night. Mike's an absolute pleasure to work with and is def. fantastic at his job. Highly recommend as your DJ.
When we began planning our wedding we knew we wanted to have a DJ that would help it to feel more like a big celebration than a typical wedding. Mike helped to give us this vibe and more! The inside jokes we had created with him in our short meeting were brought into our wedding reception and still have us laughing to this day! Mike was so amazing to work with and I wish I could get married again so that he could come be a part of the day again. His music, lighting and photo booth were everything I had wanted for my wedding and were the highlights to many of our guests reviews when they talk to us about our wedding. I would recommend Mike for any event that you want music for because he has so many songs that he can keep up with the vibe your party is giving off. His wonderful and friendly personality is just an added bonus as a vendor to help make any event exactly what you are looking for!

Michael was the DJ for a wedding I planned (I was an enthusiastic novice for my brother's wedding) in early October 2019.
I cannot say enough about Michael's additions to the day. He made sure he spoke with us beforehand and listened to really get to know the tone of the party that was desired, and he came more than prepared. His technology worked perfectly for both the dancing and the audio for the ceremony. He did not show off his own personality, rather he read the room and made sure that we were executing the best event possible for our family and friends. Moreover, he included little add-ons like stunning lights to add to the venue space that were above and beyond.

Micheal was absolutely fantastic! He was referred to us by my MOH and we are so glad that we took her advise! He was very attentive to James and I and he made sure that our day was just magical. Mike was absolutely fantastic! From the beginning stages helping us figure out songs to choose, to order of events, it was very helpful having his experience and suggestions. I was very particular about our playlist, wanting to make sure there was a good balance of new songs and classics. He played the perfect songs at the right times - more casual and classics during dinner and then knew exactly what songs to play to keep the dance floor packed all night! We also got up-lighting, dance floor lighting, and our photo booth through Mike, and the lights were awesome and looked beautiful. The photo booth was a hit, I highly suggest it! He also provided mics for our ceremony, which were definitely necessary. We can't recommend Mike enough, he was everything we hoped for and more!

Our experience with Michael was incredible. He truly made planning stress free and his attention to detail allowed us to fully enjoy our wedding day. Prior to our wedding day he was always organized, helpful when trying to pick songs to accent our day, and always prompt when we reached out to him with questions/concerns. There are no words to express how happy I am that I booked with Michael for our wedding! I booked our date with him from Colorado and he made the whole process so easy for me. He did our custom uplighting as well as DJ services. I was on the dance floor all night (absolutely could not stop dancing), and my guests are still talking about how fun our wedding was. While planning our wedding the most stressful thing by far for us was booking a DJ. I feel as though DJ's play a HUGE role in your wedding day, and can basically make or break your wedding. While searching for a DJ I kept telling myself the two things that guests remember most from a wedding is the food and music. So we had to make sure to find the perfect DJ.
We had searched for a while, and after numerous phone conversations and emails with different DJ's I just wasn't satisfied with any of them... Then we had stumbled across Mike on the knot!
After one phone conversation with Mike my husband and I knew he was the one. He knew exactly what he was talking about, and he was very professional. What we also liked most was he was super personable and fun to talk to, it wasn't just straight business with him which is what we loved!
Needless to say he had everyone on the dace floor all night! He kept a great timeline of the night, he stuck to all our requests, and made the night memorable.

Oh my goodness. I don’t have enough positive things to say about Michael. He created the most perfect playlist for our wedding that truly captured who we are as a couple. The dance floor was never empty and we danced all night long! He even helped create some very special moments during our reception such as a traditional Greek dance, and southern line dancing! He is a true artist and knows his stuff- he gave us incredible advice about our wedding day that really helped make everything go smoothly. He’s professional, responsive, organized, and so much fun to work with!! I’d give him 36 stars if I could.

Music was one of our biggest worries for the night, since live music is a huge part of our lives. We wanted our favorite tunes to blend well with what everyone would enjoy. Mike understood this and did such an impressive job mixing everything throughout the night to keep everyone on the dance floor and the night just flowed perfectly.

Michael is THE best DJ I have experienced at a wedding! I found him when he was the DJ at a wedding show in Stamford, CT, and noticed he also had experience with our wedding reception venue. This was a fantastic find because he was able to easily coordinate with the venue. We ended up picking out all of our songs and Mike worked his magic to put it in place. We did not stop dancing ALL night and Mike kept the energy HIGH!!! It was everything we hoped for and more and never had a lull in the night! Mike is extremely professional and also knows how to keep everyone in the wedding party organized to keep on schedule but also have a TON of fun! The BEST quality about Mike is he has the best personality and we had a blast from our first conversation in our planning process to the end of the night of our wedding. We cannot even begin to explain how amazing Mike was to work with. He's so incredibly organized and patient. We had one request when we met with him which was to make our small wedding into a dance party. He did not let us down!
