Michael's Catering

My daughter's wedding was 10/13/12 at the Degas House on Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans. Since we were originally from New Orleans, with lots of out of town guests, we wanted to offer a taste of the South. We had crawfish madeline, jambalaya, a cane syrup salad, gazpacho shooters, savory cheesecake and so much more. Everyone loved the food, without exception. I was told - but since I didn't get any, being busy playing hostess- that the jambalaya was some of the best locals had ever tasted!! I did sample the crawfish and it was excellent, as was the savory cheesecake and did I forget to mention the excellent crab dip served in a bread boule - outstanding! Michael's handled getting all the rentals, tables, chairs, and linens that were needed. The staff were great, taking great care to make sure everyone was served and followed with cleaning so unobstrusively that no conversation was ever interrupted. Their clean-up was scrupulous. Can't say enough good things about Cherilynn and her team!!

Michael's catering was the most amazing caterer for my wedding. The food was unbelieveable and the service was outstanding. They were responsive and patient and worked with me many times to revise the menu and keep the costs down. They also did the linens and plates and things. They made my life so much easier, they practically played a wedding planner role for me. All of my guests were blown away by the quality and deliciousness of the food. I am just so sad that we didn't eat more ourselves. They provided me a great experience for my wedding and I would recommend them up and down to any bride or party planner.

We enjoyed every minute of working with Michael's Catering! The food, served buffet-style in our case, was easily the best we had ever eaten at a wedding. We wanted our (mostly out-of-town) guests to get a taste of traditional New Orleans fare like jambalaya, crawfish Madeline and cochon du lait, and Michael's delivered 100 percent. Additionally, the staff is a dream. Every member was professional, courteous and just plain nice. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I definitely recommend Michael's Catering if you're looking for a caterer who will really take the time to tailor the menu precisely to your needs, and who will execute the event flawlessly. They are amazing!

Micheal's food provided amazing food and great service. They were very helpful at every turn. About three months before the wedding, my fiance found out he had a gluten allergy (flour). We were worried about the changes and hoping he would be able to eat at least one or two things. Michael's Catering ended up making 80% of the menu gluten free - and just as tasty! It was wonderful and my finance was able to eat with no stomach problems. This was so wonderful and really eased the stress of planning. They were available and on-the-ball on the event day. I would definitely recommend their use for future events.

Michael's was simply OUTSTANDING during our reception. First, they really worked with our budget and really helped us in keeping the price down. We didn't see the staff but everything was happening. They did the entire set-up and it looked perfect, exactly how I asked them!!! Everyone is still talking about the food and the bread pudding we got for dessert. No-brainer, GO WITH MICHAEL'S! And ask for Kristan to take care of your event. She's AWESOME!!!

Michael's Catering/"Matt & Naddies" was fantastic from day 1. Krystan, their sales manager, was personable, friendly, and efficient. She was great about returning all emails & phone calls. She also made sure to work with our budget. The tasting was very well done. It was organized & done in a timely matter. Bottomline...GREAT food! We decided not to use the catering services offered by our venue because the food was nearly all fried & not good in general, so to find Michael's was a dream come true. Their food tasted fresh, was different, & had a gourmet feel without a whopping gourmet price. It was all delicious! They've got a great menu selection. We got nothing but compliments on the food, & their staff went above & beyond duty at our reception. Some of the wait staff even helped to light sparklers for our grand exit! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this company & Krystan! GREAT product & service!
