n the best photographer we've ever worked with in her artistry, her direction, and her editing. She controls both light and shadows perfectly to encapsulate the exact feeling of the moment - whether it's during a sunny day or during golden hour sunset or with indoor lighting at night. While we were unfamiliar with taking photos and felt awkward at the beginning, she gave us direct and encouraging cues to not only make us feel comfortable, but also have fun in our photos. She was extremely professional all throughout the 3 years that we worked with her through our multiple-times-delayed-by-Covid wedding. Michelle was prompt with her replies and made the logistics of planning and re-planning as seamless and painless as possible. And beyond that, she is just a wonderful person to work with! She made everyone feel at ease, and we had so many friends and family asking us about her after the wedding because she was so nice and personable. Loved our experience working with Michelle!

nd the backdrop right, you know it is a feat to get the pictures right. Yet Michelle stunned us with her brilliant shots. She not only covered the most coveted spots within the hall but also captured moments from our ceremony all too well. Our gallery looks nothing short of pictures right out of a fairytale and our friends and family have been raving over it. From my experience and research there are very few photographers who can cover city hall weddings well and hands down , Michelle is one of the best you have got out there.

If you are looking for a SF City Hall photographer, she is it! She gave us great direction and helped us feel relaxed to get AMAZING photographs. I was so happy that we had such an experienced photography team with us on our wedding day. She also sent us highlights 2 days after the wedding so that we were able to get some photos during our honeymoon. Not only is she talented and skilled in photography, she connected with us on a personal level and we loved working with her. Michelle made sure to communicate everything we wanted before the wedding so that we got every shot that we wanted. She is detailed and does an amazing job. She is amazing and we were so happy to have her with us on our wedding day.

ally searching for a photographer for our civil ceremony, we knew we wanted someone with experience shooting there. Thanks to a recommendation from a friend (Vicky F.!), we decided Michelle would be a great fit due to her light, airy shooting style and knowledge of the ins and outs of the building. Michelle met us on time at SF City Hall and started doing bride and groom shots with us before our ceremony appointment. She was very helpful in guiding and posing my husband and I since this was the first time we were doing a formal photo shoot. Michelle made sure to get us back on time to the office for our ceremony. After the ceremony, she took us around City Hall some more to do a lot more shooting. She knew where all the good spots were for photos, such as the geometric windows the fourth floor balcony. She was helpful in guiding my husband and I, as well as our family members, to make us feel comfortable while taking our photos. Turnaround time for the photos were super quick -- I got our sneak peaks the day of and our final gallery of photos a few weeks later. We knew we wanted to hire Michelle for our big reception, which we intended on hosting in October 2020. Well we all know what happened in 2020 so we postponed everything one year later to October 2021. Michelle was very understanding and let us postpone without any extra fees. Leading up to our reception, Michelle was helpful in working out our day-of timeline between us and our coordinator. She provided some good advice of when we should step out for golden hour photos and gave suggestions of re-shuffling some events so the flow would be better for getting people to stand up (i.e. doing cake cutting first then transitioning to the first dance). On the day of our reception, Michelle showed up on time to our home with her second shooter (Zha Zha Liang) to take our getting ready and first look photos. I was impressed at how she brought her own background paper to shoot our detail shots (rings, invitation, etc.) and she even brought a pretty hanger and hook for taking dress photos. I loved the double-team effort that Michelle and Zha Zha provided in taking our separate bride and groom photos until we were ready for the first look shots. They were were also great at keeping us on schedule so we could leave our home to arrive at our venue on time. At the venue, Michelle and Zha Zha seemed to work non-stop in taking all our photos. Taking the photos seemed quick and efficient. Michelle stuck to our shot list to ensure that we got all the family portraits we wanted. She was also good in guiding and posing us again. We only had to step away for sunset photos for like 20 minutes. Michelle and Zha Zha were also good at corralling our guests to come up to our head table for group photos. We received our sneak peeks within a few days and our full gallery about 6 weeks after our reception. I already ordered holiday/thank you cards and photo albums with our new photos! I loved working with Michelle and already heard from some friends and family they want to work with her too! I recommend Michelle for intimate ceremonies, big receptions, or family portraits. She seems to do it all and always provides great quality photos. I would also love to work with Zha Zha again.

We had to cancel our venue because of this pandemic as we did not want to put our guests at risk (especially having a alot of older guests). We made the decision within the month of making it an intimate wedding in our backyard. Michelle was excited to photograph our special day. The day before the wedding or a few days before the wedding, Michelle checked in with me to see if there were anything I needed to let her know. I gave her a rough run down of the events. The day of the wedding, Michelle showed up earlier than expected and already got straight to work. Capturing the details of our weddings. We got some get ready photos also prior to the ceremony! I did not need to tell her what photos I specifically needed/wanted. Michelle knows her sh**. Excuse my language, but seriously, the turn around time for the photos were quick and when I saw them, I can't believe she caught all those moments and details! She has the eye and is very attentive. She instantly gave me the comfort that everything is ok and also being my awkward self, those photos turned out beautiful! She knew how to direct me and my family to get nice photos! I highly recommend Michelle for her professionalism, knowledge, expertise, confidence, calmness, and attentiveness. I wish I could give her a bonus star!

We especially enjoyed working with Michelle who answered all of our questions and had such a commanding control over all locations we wanted to take pictures in order to get the best shot. I would gladly work with her again for any occasion and recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect photographer.

ackage. - while the session, she was very efficient; she gave us some advises such as poses, where we should stand first or where she should shoot. Cons: - we were expecting to finish our session within 3 hours, but it took 4 hours which costed extra $200. We rather finish in 3 hours and have less photos than paying the extra money honestly.

punctual and have a pair of good eyes. She know what look poses look good and with what lighting. She's also versatile as well with more natural and soft tone on our engagement shoot. And for our wedding day, she used more colors to look more dramatic. She's willing to accommodate on what styles you like. She's also very detailed oriented, she scheduled a call with me to discuss the whole timeline of the wedding and went over my expectations for wedding day. We just received her pictures (almost 1,300 photos) yesterday and all the pictures looked great! We loved all of the pictures, it's everything that we imagined and more. She is definitely very patient, near the end of the night we had a bunch of drunk bridal party during sparkler sendoff. However she still continued and patiently took photos of us. We highly recommend her to anyone.

Her patience, care in photographing my 90 year old grandmas, meeting with me to look at the lighting at the wedding venue a week before the wedding, and punctual return of our edited photos were also added bonuses to an already amazing photography experience!
