Michelle Scott Photography

hotographer who would capture the emotions of not just the bride and the groom but of the bridal party, extended family, and our guests. I struggled to find the right photographer who's portfolio wasn't a long list of static, posed images. That is, until we were recommended Michelle. O.M.G. I was instantly captured by her website and the wide range of weddings, locations, and styles she had covered. I am not an outwardly emotional person but I couldn't help but tear up at the images she shared online. I could not give a stronger recommendation for working with a wedding vendor. Michelle also shot our engagement photos which was the perfect way to capture images of Chris and me around our neighborhood and it was a brilliant way to get to know Michelle so that we felt like friends by our wedding day. Being a 2020 bride brought a whole new layer of stress and uncertainty to the wedding planning process, and her positivity, reassurance, and dedication to our wedding was and is so incredibly appreciated. Chris and I will forever cherish our engagement and wedding photos and are so very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Michelle and have her be a part of our special day. How many times do you get to say you were photographed by a Vogue photographer?!?! Love you Michelle!!!  Pros: -Michelle is a true artist and somehow makes every shot look beyond glamorous.  -Creativity  -Responsiveness and level of detail in her communications. Major plus for Type A brides (and Type B.) -Her ability to capture the emotion of the day. Truly wow.  Cons: I wish I could pay Michelle to take pictures at every single one of our important life events because she makes us look way more attractive and cooler than we are. :)

the end of the day, it's what you're left with. I'm an Atlanta wedding planner with years of experience + many vendor contacts & Michelle was who we wanted from the beginning. Our ceremony was small, intimate & in a private residence while our reception was a bit bigger & at a huge tourist location. Michelle handled both scenarios perfectly, & when we look at our photos we remember our best day of 2020. We got the photos of family + friends that everyone wants from their wedding, but we also received photos with unique lighting & details that I truly believe only a specific artist can capture. If you're looking for someone who is easygoing, hardworking & delivers photos you just can't get with everyone, Michelle is it. Thank you again, for everything - & I look forward to recommending you to future clients of mine!

te professionals whose attention to detail and excellence at their craft combined with a listening ear regarding the things that were most important to us to be captured made for beautiful photographic memories of their wedding festivities. Kudos with our highest recommendation!

meone who could handle various and challenging lighting conditions. Rain, sun, clouds, dim interiors — you name it, we wanted our photographer to be an expert at handling whatever the conditions. Michelle did that and so much more. She was professional. She was personable. She made us feel completely comfortable. It was the easiest and most seamless experience. The photos? Her work speaks for itself. Look at her portfolio. Look at her Instagram. The photos were received were no different. We're so glad we chose Michelle to capture our most important day and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything, Michelle. You rock.

h her that was so much fun. Her photos are beautiful and perfectly captured the magic of the day. Would HIGHLY recommend!

e so lovely and I cannot wait to print them! I highly recommend hiring her for any type of wedding you have!

he was able to capture truly organic moments, which my husband and I will marvel at forever. Best of all, we get to work with her twice! Because of Covid-19, my husband and I decided to do a micro-wedding this October, which Michelle shot. The hope is to have the big planned reception next year, and we absolutely cannot wait to work with Michelle again!! I'd give her a hundred stars if I could :)

he also did a FANTASTIC job with our engagement pictures. I told her the vibe I was going for and showed her some examples of city engagement pictures I liked and she was able to create the same aesthetic for us- we got so many compliments on them! Also she is super professional and will go out of her way to get the best shots in the best locations- she has the most amazing eye for finding great backdrops and lighting. Lastly, she allows her clients to be natural and enjoy their day without having to constantly pose them in the same old stiff portraits. That was my favorite thing about her that convinced me to book her. Overall, if you’re on the fence, book her! Her work speaks for itself.

or candids. Nobody can hold a candle to the kind of photography-- except for maybe the folks that do the Royal Weddings. Many of my friends spent more money than I did on photography, and the results cannot even compare. We worked with Sabrina, Michelle's assistant photographer. She is the sweetest soul and so patient with my bridezilla anxieties the day of! She is truly an artist! 100% for their professionalism, kindness, and value for money.

d her style (Her works speak for themselves!). Michelle makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera (I'm typically not) while also making it feel like she's not even there! She communicated with us, had a very easy process for family portraits, and is a truly talented photographer. On wedding day, she captured all the sweet and intimate details of everything important to us. She got us our photos so timely for everything and getting ahold of her for anything was all so easy. She really made everything about our wedding day stress free when it came to photography! Our wedding day album made me cry, I couldn't believe how perfect and wonderful they turned out! I want to give her a 10 star if I could and will highly recommend to any bride!

vibe. When we met her she gave us the cutest folder with our initials on it, a little goodie bag of vendors she recommends, and some other items; but what it came down to was her attention to detail. This shows throughout her photography as well. I told Michelle I didn't want too many staged photos I wanted the day to be shot how the day went. At the wedding she was the best it was like having one of my best friends shooting the wedding. After the wedding she emailed us photos from her iphone and YALL FROM HER IPHONE THEY BLEW ME AWAY. I can't imagine what the ones she took on her camera. I'll update once I receive the photos but the only thing I wish was that she could've stayed longer and shot my 4 person bouquet toss, and my glitter bombed exit. She aint cheap but she's worth EVERY FREAKIN PENNY.

ve, love, love being able to go through the photos to remember our favorite day. Her photos have made us and our families so, so happy. Very professional, lovely personalities, and seriously worth every penny.

team make you feel comfortable and right at home. I seriously can't recommend her enough.

rofessional, she KNOWS what she's doing. The day of our wedding she didn't waste any time. Even when we were switching locations she was always snapping photos. We got every photo we wanted... family, bridal party, all of it. And several truly special photographs of my husband and I. I never felt rushed or worried that we weren't getting the shots we wanted. Taking photos can sometimes feel awkward, especially this kind of photography. Michelle made me feel so comfortable, I felt like a model! If you put your trust in her, she will not disappoint. We walked into an alley behind a dumpster at Michelle's suggestion and got some of my FAVORITE pics of the night. Michelle made sure to send sneak peeks in the weeks after the wedding and when we got the full album I was blown away. Michelle really told the story of our wedding through her photographs, it was like reliving the moment all over. Who needs a video when you have photographs like these?? Hiring Michelle was worth every penny and I'm extremely proud and grateful we will have these photos to last a lifetime. Michelle's photos are timeless, elegant, and intimate. I would HIGHLY recommend Michelle Scott Photography.

he has an artist’s eye for capturing movement, light, and intimate moments. I have no doubt that our photos will be spectacular, considering she knocked our engagement photos out of the park. Thank you, Michelle! We will cherish these photographs forever!

utiful and unique aesthetic, she also excels at making her subjects incredibly comfortable -- it's amazing how natural and romantic we felt (and looked)! She was such a pleasure to work with, and truly goes above and beyond in every way to make her clients feel special. We are in love with all of our photos and would work with her again in a second! I can't recommend Michelle highly enough.

ny moment. I love her work but more importantly she is an awesome human being. So important to have people around you on a day like your wedding that are just good people. So you get it all with Michelle. I would give her a million stars if I could. But when you see her work, I think it speaks for itself.

ted someone with an authentic and creative style. Michelle went above and beyond to meet our needs. She is truly outstanding and we highly recommend her!

as her effortless framing and eye for composition, elevate her photography above all the basic point and shoot wedding documentation out there. Her photography of my bridal session and my wedding perfectly captured who I am as a person, and who we are as a couple. I would highly recommend Michelle to anyone. She is a joy to work with.

with. To have someone that can take a picture and have that picture show the love that was felt is so hard, but Michelle does exactly that and more. I am so happy that we were able to have someone of her talent capture the best day of our lives!

you which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Her artistic direction that she brings is astounding. She will find amazing nooks and crannies that you would typically walk right by. I love the intimacy and candidness she brought to our wedding photos and will treasure these forever.

n locations. She nailed exactly what I had envisioned in my head and the photos came out awesome. She is so good at what she does and keeps it relaxed and chill. So much fun hanging with her and I could't be happier with her work. Michelle is the bessssst!

eople. During our wedding photoshoot, Michelle's personal skills helped us relax and enjoy the moment. Because of all of this, we got some truly wonderful pictures!

e are really particular about aesthetic. Michelle is incredibly easy to work with and she has such a wonderful, laid-back and positive energy about her. She is not only an incredible professional—she also clearly loves what she does and very much gets into her work but also does it in a non invasive way and makes you feel very comfortable with her. She knows how to direct without making you too posed but also captures beautiful genuine moments and you can tell she feels a connection to each and every shot. She also was very attentive to the priorities we gave her and tried to make sure we got all the shots we were hoping for on our wedding day, while also incorporating her own unique eye and ideas which I’m so looking forward to seeing the results of. The sneak peek she sent us this week had me in tears and hit us right in the soul—can’t wait to see the rest of them! I cannot recommend her enough!

ramatic without trying. She really does know how to capture the mood and make you look classically stunning. I'm usually more comfortable behind the lens, but Michelle made me feel and look like a million bucks in her shots. We had been emailing back and forth and were planning on meeting up to get to know each other and go over details, but our lives were so busy that we were only able to discuss everything in person and by phone. The moment we met on my wedding day, everything just felt like she was an old friend that totally got me and I didn't have to explain anything to her. We were able to make each other laugh and the day flew by flawlessly. She also scouted out the perfect locations for us after I described what I liked/wanted. Definitely make sure that you book her in advance, because I'm sure she's one busy photographer! All her work is amazing and word will spread fast. Cannot recommend Michelle enough! We are getting so many compliments on her sneak peek photos already, I can't wait to see the full archive!!

ky enough to have her shoot both our engagement photos and our wedding day. She made us feel so comfortable and at ease despite how awkward we both felt in the beginning. This came in handy when I did a boudoir shoot with her. She made me feel so relaxed in what could have been a very uncomfortable situation. Her eye for detail and artistic instincts coupled with her professionalism is what made our experience so amazing. She is easy to get a hold of and is very timely in her response. Every photo turned out perfectly. We will definitely be using her in the future!!

couldn't be any happier.

e true! She was not only able to far exceed my vision during my styled engagement session but she captured the true essence of my big day and has helped me relive every precious moment one breathtaking image at a time. Michelle's unique vision and sharp eye make for an incredible combination when it comes to capturing life's best moments. Her warm spirit and passion for her craft really shine through in her photos and I couldn't be happier with the amazing memories she's gifted me through her talent. Future brides search no more, your photography prayers have been answered - this one is a must! ;-)

!!!! I can't thank you enough!!! Our bridal pics are soooo stunning, and everything I knew they would be!!! Tell Harmony she's bomb.com!!! :))) Now I can't wait to do our anniversary photos!!

wedding. It was fortuitous that we came across Michelle online and she was available on our wedding day! We only needed one phonecall and one in-person meeting, and everything else was via email. She is super responsive and professional. We knew we could trust Michelle to capture special moments, and she really exceeded our expectations. In addition to her amazing talent, creativity and artistry, Michelle is so easy to work with. It fit our laid-back brewery wedding perfectly.

iven the same amount of effort and care from the very first to the very last (even after 9 hours on the day of). Personality wise, she is extremely fun, easy going and very much into whatever or whoever she is shooting at that time. She gives great direction and took the best pictures that we couldn't even imagine even in 40 degree, gloomy, winter weather. On the day of the wedding, her assistant Harmony and herself captured every aspect and every moment. I can safely say that she will be my go to photographer for ANY event or occasion in the future.

and she didn’t take a single bad picture. Every picture was perfect… When I say perfect, literally I mean it. My husband nor myself aren’t the posing type of people, and neither is Michelle, she gives some pointers but then she lets you do your thing, and that’s what makes great pictures. We live in Atlanta and hired Michelle Scott, to take our engagement photos (after researching photographers in the Atlanta area for days). At this point we haven’t hired a photographer for our wedding yet. The day had come to meet Michelle for the first time for our engagement photos. I’m not going to lie my husband wasn’t looking forward to it at all. So after many hours of taking pictures in the Georgia heat, Paul actually turned to me and said I enjoyed it, and that we better book her for our Savannah wedding… and we did! Not only is Michelle the best photographer around, she’s super cool and just an awesome person. She is extremely talented, detailed, professional, and has an eye for photos. Holding a camera was what Michelle was born to do. I never seconded guested myself or find myself worrying about how the pictures would come out. We just got our wedding photos back and they are jaw dropping, she captured the day in photos. Years from now I will be able to look back at the pictures and remember every detail. If I can give you any advice, it would be to hire Michelle Scott to take your photos. She won’t let you down!

ok are unbelievable! Michelle is super creative - she plays with different lights, colors, reflections, etc. to make your pictures look wonderful! On top of all that, she is really nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend her.

oose Michelle for our engagement photos back in November 2013 and our wedding photos this past August 2014. From the first meeting we know that Michelle was the right choice. She is professional, knowledgeable, flexible and creative. She helped us create fantastic engagement photos by finding eclectic colorful locations in Atlanta. We loved our photos so much that we used them for our save the dates and to decorate our wedding reception. We are crazy happy with our wedding photos. Michelle captured the overall feeling of the day with a nice mix of candids and posed shots. She was a pleasure to work with being flexible, never overbearing and going above and beyond to get the right shot. I would recommend her without hesitation for your wedding, engagement photos or any other special moment you want to capture.

urn into gorgeous photographs. Her "anything goes" style totally fit with what my husband and I were looking for. She is a joy to work with and most importantly delivers stunning results. She even rushed to get me my wedding pictures after just a few short weeks so I would have them in time for Christmas. I will absolutely be recommending her to any of my friends getting married!
