I had no clue where to start on hiring a wedding photographer. Michelle was absolutely fantastic to work with throughout the entire process from start to finish! I did not realize how little I knew about wedding photography and Michelle was there to educate me along the way. During the planning phases we adjusted our timeline due to some key suggestions Michelle made, which validates her knowledge & experience. Her and her second shooter, Lacy were so wonderful on our wedding day. I just received my photos and we are so amazed how nice they turned out. They caught special moments that we will cherish forever. My husband is not a "picture taker" but Michelle's great attitude and some laughter made him feel at ease. Her & Lacy are a great team - fun, positive, professional and reliable just to name a few. I would not hesitate to hire them again!

Michelle is a consummate professional and worth many times her rate. She is incredibly easy to get ahold of and really knows her paces when it comes to weddings. Her value isn't only in the pictures; her day-of planning advice months prior to the wedding day really saved us a lot of trouble given that we had no experience organizing or scheduling a wedding day ourselves. The pictures she took are absolutely phenomenal; they're perfect without looking overtly processed. Our wedding day was a blur, and so my wife and I are particularly grateful to Michelle and her second shooter for giving us the right pictures to help us remember the emotions of every little moment. Further, Michelle is also just a joy to meet and speak with. Highly recommend!

Michelle and Lacy were absolutely a dream to work with. They seamlessly joined our day and made it a priority to get the shots that were important to me, while also being mindful that taking photographs was not the only thing I wanted to do! Having a wedding out of state and during Hurricane season led to a few stressful days leading up to our actual wedding date. Choosing a photographer out of state, I got the call that flights were being canceled and we may not have someone to document the day we have been planning for almost 2 years. Desperate, I found Michelle on the Knot two days before our wedding and explained the situation. She was quick to respond and let us know that she would be there if we needed her. She had us send her our information, wedding details, time line, etc., preparing to take over and be our photographer if our photographer was unable to make it. Having been so stressed about the situation, Michelle was willing to take us on as a client and make sure our day was perfect. Fortunately, our photographer was able to make it out to the wedding, so we did not need to use Michelle. However, based on our conversations and seeing her gallery on her website, I know she would have been amazing to work with. I cannot thank her enough for willing to step up and take on the role such last minute. I was finally able to breath, knowing that I would have had a photographer on our special day if everything failed. She gave us that piece of mind. Thank you so much Michelle for everything!

I think the best thing I can say about Michelle as a wedding photographer is that our *guests* were commenting on how great Michelle and her second shooters were! And if they noticed, then that is perhaps the best compliment. Michelle was thoughtful and thorough from get-go. From our first consultation, I knew she would be wonderful because she had a sample schedule and asked such detailed questions! She wanted to meet with me and my then-fiance so she could get to know us and we could get to know her, and between our first consult to our wedding day, we had had 3 in-person interactions. On our wedding day, it felt like she was one of our friends invited to the wedding. Michelle and her team were helpful and focussed on making the day as smooth for me and my family as possible while also capturing all of the special moments! I chose Michelle because her photos are beautiful, clean, and elegant, while also not overly edited. When I look at our wedding photos (which turned out WONDERFUL), I see them as timeless and classy. When we look at our albums 45 years from now, I will know that they are true to real life. To be completely honest, my husband and I paid more than our budgeted amount for Michelle's services, but it was completely WORTH IT. Our photos are beautiful and perfectly captured, and Michelle worked with us so closely to make sure our wedding day was memorialized as we wanted it to be. I am so thankful for Michelle and her second shooters! I recommend Michelle Valantine Photography 10/10!

Michelle and her second shooter, Lacy, did an incredible job! Almost every photo looked like it should be the cover of a magazine! I was in awe looking at her pictures. She captured so many small moments and different details I wouldn't have thought of on my own. She helped cater a timeline special to me and was very flexible and understanding. She was a joy to work with, and really helped my day go by smoothly. I didn't have to worry about anything and I clearly didn't need to with her and Lacy taking photos! Michelle did both our engagement and wedding photos. We could not have been happier with her as a photographer. Michelle is hands-down the best photographer to choose for your special day. We booked with her when we fell in love with how natural and vibrant her pictures looked. Little did we know she’s also amazingly organized and she makes getting genuine smiles and moments feel so effortless. We worked with Michelle for engagement photos and wedding photos and were so happy and comfortable with both experiences, despite neither of us feeling very photogenic. We got all of our wedding photos back exactly on schedule as promised, and literally can’t pick favorites because they’re all so amazing. We absolutely loved working with Michelle and Lacey - they worked so hard to capture every special moment for us - and we will continue to seek Michelle’s photography for our growing family in years to come.

Michelle is an amazing! My husband and I are really uncomfortable in front of the camera and she made it so much fun and effortless. Michelle did an absolutely fantastic job with us for our wedding. Through multiple postponements due to COVID, she was always extremely flexible and understanding. We ended up having to have a tiny wedding, and the way she shot the images maintained the warmth and excitement of a much larger wedding. She does a great job of catching the candid moments of true expression which were the pictures I loved the most. She was very organized on the wedding day and worked around our wedding plan to make sure she got all the shots in she needed. She is very detailed with helping to make a wedding itinerary with you and caters to your preferences. She basically had a similar effect to a second wedding planner! Could not recommend her enough.

I can't say enough good things about Michelle and her mom. They make a wonderful team and they truly care about capturing the day in the best way possible. They take time to meet with you before the wedding and really dive into the essence of the day. Michelle was absolutely amazing to work with. She planned ahead and thought on the fly. In the middle of COVID, that was much needed. She thought of cute social distancing poses with my grandparents to keep them safe. Our ceremony was outside and she thought of amazing ways to work with the light during the evening. I searched and searched for a photographer who was in our budget and took photos with the kind of editing style I prefer. Michelle fit both of those and is a dog lover so... even better! Michelle was a joy to work with. My daughter's Covid Wedding pictures are fabulous. She is very professional, able to manage a group tactfully but stay in charge to keep things moving. Her super power as a photographer is to capture intimate moments that could easily be missed and become the most memorable pictures. Great sense of humor, listens to her clients and produces excellent results. She will be our go to for all our important family memories from here forward.

Absolutely loved Michelle's pictures and her professionalism. You would never know that our daughter got married during a pandemic. She took the time to shoot every shot, including our favorite with everyone in masks, and made the day so enjoyable for the Bride/Groom and the family members there. Stayed all the way to the end which is wonderful and gave the Bride and Groom time to eat without rushing them to one thing to the next just to shoot the picture. While my husband and I are still waiting for our wedding photos (we've barely been married two weeks) the sneak peeks we've seen and the engagement photos shot for our by Michelle and her mother have been spectacular. Not only does Michelle have an amazing eye for photography, she and her mom are extremely expressible and helpful with every step of the wedding process. She thought of timeline concerns, recommended I purchase heel protectors to help keep me from sinking in grass at the park. I think the best recommendation she made was to get a picture with every table at our wedding, it was a great idea but there were SO many people I didn't even realize were at the wedding and because of her recommendation, I'm going to be able to have a photo with every single one of them. If you're looking for a photographer that will take your scattered vision and turn it into a beautiful reality.

Picking Michelle as our wedding photographer was absolutely the BEST thing I could have done! She went above and beyond to make sure that I got the very best wedding pictures. Her and her mother thought of every picture idea that we would like and made sure that we remembered to do them. My wedding was in July and we had pictures start at about 3 in the afternoon which was pretty hot but that didn't slow Michelle or her mother down a beat. She took her time and was very detailed and made sure we got exactly what we would want. When we met with her we didn't have an exact time frame of the wedding day (because we weren't using a coordinator) and she had made up a schedule for us that saved our lives! It gave us a sense of direction and made us feel so much more confident in our choice in her. She is absolutely the best of the best and I will recommend her to anyone! If you are thinking of booking with her, DO IT!!! There is not anyone out there like her!

Michelle did such a wonderful job! When you're planning a wedding from out of state, you want to hammer out all the details. Michelle talked with me at length during our consultation and she put so much care into a proposed timeline, and this was before I even booked her! My fiance and I did get to meet with her and her mom (who is her second shooter) one time before the wedding. The four of us talked about what was most important to me and my fiance. Since we were having a lot of family and friends coming from out of town, we worked out which photos would be most important to capture. We absolutely love the photos! The church where we were married doesn't always have the best lighting, but Michelle and her mom lit the space perfectly. They also used natural light to their advantage and we have a lot of beautiful outside shots of the day as well. In addition to being very talented and artistic, Michelle and her mom also happen to be fun, lovely people that we were happy to have with us on the day. Can't recommend highly enough.

Choosing Michelle to capture our wedding day pictures was one of the best wedding decisions we made. Michelle and her second shooter and mother, Cherie, did an excellent job. They put time and effort into getting to know you before the big day so that you feel as if you are having your pictures taken by a friend. They are both so sweet, kind, and thoughtful. They do little things that make you feel so special and definitely go above and beyond what other photographers would do for their clients. The pictures are SO beautiful that I am having a hard time choosing which ones to frame and put up in our home. We could not have asked for better photographers. Michelle really made an effort to get to know us before the wedding, which is nice. I appreciate how she worked with us awkward folks to direct us for better pictures. And wow!!!!! There are so many amazing pictures!! It’s going to be a struggle to choose which ones to get prints of- I wish we had room on our walls for all of them.
