Michelle did a wonderful job on the cut cake and cupcakes for my wedding. We must have tasted 10 different cupcake flavors while we made our decision and every single one of them was delicious. She was responsive and professional and everything arrived on time and looking great!

My husband and I hired Michelle’s Cakes to make our wedding cake. Our wedding was originally scheduled for Feb 2021, but COVID required us to reschedule to Sept 2021. Michelle was very flexible and responsive through the entire process, and the cake was amazing! We did a three-tier wedding cake: chocolate godiva, lemon, and vanilla/strawberry. Our guests were blown away with our cake. My husband and I give Michelle’s Cakes 5 out of 5 stars – We’d definitely hire them again!

Very responsive and professional. Understands and work every detail that you may want in your design. Provides great customer service and details of the design, and ensures all your needs are met. My husband is the desert eater, and Michelle customized every layer for us and it was beyond delicious. Our Guest still talk about how beautiful and tasty our wedding cake was. I would surely recommend Michelle’s Cakes for any occasion.

Michelle was very professional and courteous from the beginning starting with the cake tasting until the delivery of the cake on the wedding day. She kept the lines of communications open and upfront and honest and kept me in the loop. The cake flavors were a hit at the wedding, moist and tasty. My guest talked about the cake even after the wedding. Awesome family oriented business.. Love her!

Michelle's Cakes was the first and only bakery we contacted, and we are so happy we did. Not only did they come highly recommended, but those cupcakes were the talk of the night...delicious, and SO many flavor options to choose from. Lots of people say "Not too many people really eat a ton of cake/cupcakes at a wedding", but needless to say, we had very little leftover by the end of the night! Michelle's helpful input and responsiveness really made the entire process smooth sailing. You won't be disappointed one bit.

Michelle and Nikki could not have been lovelier or easier to work with. From the beginning, they asked exactly the right questions and we knew we were in great hands and that everything would run smoothly. We had an idea of what we wanted, but weren't sure how to execute it. Michelle and Nikki designed the perfect cake that fit the decor/feel of our wedding better than we could have imagined. We got so many compliments on its appearance, but even more on how delicious it was. Delivery and setup were seamless, and they worked with other vendors who weren't as organized to help our day run even more smoothly. We can't wait for our anniversary cake and working with them for years to come!

Michelle was easy to meet with and to communicate with! She was flexible when I changed my ideas for my cake. Her cupcakes and cakes were beautiful and delicious! I left my cake topper, crates, flowers on my wedding day and her team set up my cake table for me! I would 100% recommend Michelle and she is very reasonably priced!

To say my husband and I were happy with our wedding cakes would be a total and complete understatement. Not only were our wedding and groom’s cakes gorgeous to look at, but they were delicious to eat as well! Our guests could not stop raving about how incredible they were- so much so that there wasn’t a single piece of either cake left! Michelle and her team were a dream to work with from concept to cake and I can’t recommend them enough!

I've been going to Michelle for all of my events since 2016, and all I can say is 5 stars is not enough. My second event I had, I had to get brochures to lay out on the dessert table because so many people commented and wanted her information. Every time I visit Michelle cakes, I extend my dessert list by adding more and more to my tab. I've referred at least 3 people so far that has used her to my knowledge. If I had to describe the business in 3 words it'll be as follows: Passionate, Creativity & Exquisite. I haven't searched for another team since I met Michelle's.

Michelle makes amazing cakes and treats her creativity is amazing. Not only do her cakes look like one of a kind but they taste even better. She is truly one of a kind and the best in the Metro Area. She is the icing on the CAKE :-)

Michelle’s Cakes (Indian Head, Maryland) in one word....FANTASTIC!! I was looking for a baker for my cake. The website and the creations were awesome. I gathered a vision for my cake and dropped in. There is no other place we get our cakes from. I have had my retirement cake from the US Navy, and three cakes for my daughters Field Hockey team. Every cake is better than the last. If you are looking for an amazing looking cake that taste great, this is the place!

We had the most amazing wedding cake from Michelle’s cake! It was perfectly tailored to fit my husband and I exactly! We were able to incorporate my home state of Maryland, his love of Alabama football, his dedicated service in the Army and our mutual love of the Redskins (ok his love is a littler newer than mine). Not only was the cake beautiful but it was also very delicious! Our 1st anniversary is coming up on 11/10 and we can’t wait to dig into the top tier we’ve kept frozen.

This place is AMAZING!!! We used them for our wedding cake/cupcakes. Our cake was a very untraditional chocolate buttercream, covered in sunflowers and babybreath, with each layer a different flavor. We also had three different cupcake flavors (peanut butter chocolate, cinnabun, and maple bacon). Everything was displayed beautifully on rustic boxes that perfectly fit our wedding theme. We continue to take the kids all the time for walk in cupcake orders. They have a wide range of delicious flavors and daily specials; I especially love the seasonal pumpkin pie cupcake with sugar cookie leaf on top.

Michelle's Cakes is my go to place for all life events that need cake! I've used them for gender reveals, wedding cake, grooms cake, baby showers, baptisms, first birthdays, 50th birthdays, and more. Not only do their cakes look good, they are the best tasting cakes I've ever had. I highly recommend these incredibly talented ladies for all your cake needs!

Every occasion from big to small I call Michelle's cakes. The staff and owner are top caliber. I have never had a cake or cupcake that was not amazing in taste. BUT the designs. When I call down there I just tell them the flavor and the theme. Not only when I pick up the cake does my mouth drop. The design of the cake is so beautiful that you really don't want to cut the cake, but when you do the flavor. There are reasons that I drive a little less than half an hour, and literally past another bakery, to get down there. I am excited to start to plan my own wedding in 2019 and see what kind of summer design they will come up with.

I have used Michelle's cakes in the past for smaller parties and when I contacted her for my wedding she jumped right on board and asked me all the minor questions I didnt even think to ask her... the cake was so delicious by the end of the night we didn't even have a piece to save because everyone inhalled it.... will used again and again ! Love her !!!!!!

Our wedding cake was AMAZING! We got Michelle to bake us a 3 tier cake and 100 cupcakes. The cake was designed exactly the way we wanted it and it was the moistest cake I've had in a very longtime. I would comment on the cupcakes but there wasn't a single cupcake left! My husband and I didn't even get to eat one so I'm assuming they were just as good as the cake. We are looking forward to using Michelle in the near future. Thank you Michelle and your staff at Michelle's Cakes for helping make our special day PERFECT. Michelle's Cakes was absolutely amazing. She has so many different flavors & designs to choose from and you can't go wrong. We had a simple Confetti cake for ourselves to cut and the cupcakes we had were Cookies & Cream, Strawberry Shortcake/Strawberries & Cream, Reese's & plain yellow with buttercream frosting. We had so many compliments on them; I was even asked if she has a storefront, which they do! We only had 4 cupcakes leftover, thankfully Michelle was nice enough to box up 2 cupcakes each before the wedding for my husband and I. You seriously cannot go wrong with Michelle's Cakes!

Michelle did an amazing job on our wedding cake and dessert bar. Everyone loved it so much and we did not have any of it left over by the end of the night. The designs on the cake and desserts were beautifully done. It was exactly how we had envisioned it and we couldn't have been happier!

The cakes were beautiful, delivered and set up on the cake table. When we got to the cake cutting aspect of the evening ppl were flocking to get theirs. So much so, I did NOT get a piece of my favorite flavor (raspberry fill). Five individual cakes and we only took home the Bride/Groom cake which was two tier. Delicious!!!!

My wedding cake looked perfect. I had provided them a picture of what I hoped for and they delivered! The cupcakes and cake tasted so good, all very moist and delicious. I was so happy with the service that I will FOR SURE be going there again.

Michelle's does not disappoint! The cake was gorgeous and just like the picture I'd given Michelle. We were eating leftover cake from our wedding this past June for a full week after the wedding and it tasted and looked just the same as it did on our wedding day. Michelle also made a small cake for my bridal shower atop the cupcake tower which was SO creative and a fun sneak peek for the wedding. Thank you Michelle!

I had the opportunity to work with Michelle, the owner and I can say that the service there was exceptional. The location was perfect for me being as though my ceremony vendor was really close by but others may have a hard time with this. I loved the cake, it was so moist and delicious, not to mention the design. She nailed it! It was very affordable too. I would definitely work with this vendor in the future and recommend to anyone who has a budget but doesn't want something cheap looking.

I got a cake and multiple flavors for cupcakes, and Michelle was so pleasant to work with. She really tried her best to work with the bride and groom with what we wanted and her price was really great! She went above and beyond and even delivered everything and set it up for us on our wedding day which made it one less thing to worry about! So glad we had her for our special day. Everything tasted so delicious too!

My wedding cake looked, and tasted amazing, but I was kind of sad when I saw it, because it looked so tiny on the big cake table. I thought it would bigger than it was, but I got what I paid for. It tasted amazing and I would definitely recommend this place.

Michelle's cakes are amazing!! I had a fall theme wedding so lots of leaves and pumpkins, so I wanted my cake to fit my theme. So I met with Michelle and we designed my cake I was so excited to see the cake the day of my wedding when I got to the reception before I had even walked in people outside said OMG your cake is beautiful it looks fake! Well let me tell you that cake was not fake and it tasted so good!! Some of my guests tried all 5 flavors!!! The cake was such a hit my husband and I didn't even get a piece! Michelle had given us a freezer cake to save for our 1 year anniversary well when she found out that everyone had eaten all of our cake she told us to eat our freezer cake and that they would make us another one on our anniversary! There is not very many people that would do that! What wonderful customer service!! Give Michelle a call or look her up on facebook or on her website! You won't regret it!

I refused to pay over $6 per SLICE of cake for my wedding day, call me cheap or on a budget I don't care but I couldn't fathom paying that much. I probably spent the most time searching for a decent bakery. And mind you, I started my search early, with almost a year to plan. Alot of email responses either never came, were short or rude, or told me it was too early for a cake tasting. FINALLY, I found Michelle, a chipper, fast responder who wanted to schedule a tasting right away. I traveled over an hour to her knowing her costs up front including delivery. My three tiered wedding cake, minimally decorated, to feed 130 people, including delivery costs a little over $550. I was stunned at how delicious her cakes were. and we tried almost 8 different kinds. I wanted a design that was sophisticated and classic with a punch of flair (including zebra print!!) Michelle gave me the exact cake I wanted...and worked with me through some minor changes and miscommunications. and absolutely everyone asked me where I got the cake and told me how delicious it was. My only con about michelle is that she told me she would leave a seperate 'anniverary' tier that wouldn't be touched or accidently cut, etc. when we went to cut the cake, my caterer asked if she were to save the cake...i asked if she had seen the anniversary tier i was supposed to have recieved, it was no where to be found. I knew i could always discuss with Michelle about getting a replacement if it wasnt found so I let them cut my tier and left the hall without an anniversary cake. The next morning I stopped by the hall to get a few things I had left and the clean up crew had found my cake, UNDER the cake table...left out all night. It struck me as odd that it was left there and not in the huge walk-in fridge. We ended up refrigerating it, and freezing it until our one month...it tasted JUST as good as on our wedding day and I still plan on getting an anniversary cake on our one year from Michelle.

Michelle made our cupcakes for our June 4 wedding. They were amazing! We brought her some samples of our wedding stationary and bouquets, and from those conversations, Michelle designed a cupcake display that went above and beyond what we could have hoped for. It was modern, colorful, and matched our decor perfectly! Not only did they look beautiful, but they tasted amazing too. I highly recommend Michelle's Cakes!!

Michelle did a great job. We ordered a 4-tier square cake with vanilla, chocolate and marble layers and we also ordered a kitchen cake to down-play the cost of a cake for 170ish people. The cake was fresh and delicious. She was very easy to work with. I got a ton of compliments on the cake and how great it looked and tasted.

Michelle is great to work with; very easy going; the cake was BEAUTIFUL! and it tasted AMAZING!!
