The First Look

Step on the deck of the Michigan Princess in Lansing, Michigan and step back in time for a wedding steeped in Victorian merriment. Docked on the Grand River, the Michigan Princess riverboat is also an ideal setting for a nautical-themed wedding. Guests enjoy spectacular views of Michigan's longest river as the vessel gently cruises into the sunset. Photo opportunities abound, from the steps of the hand-carved oak staircase to the wood-framed outer decks and the captain's wheel. The vessel has space for 250 guests for both a ceremony and reception or 300 guests for a reception only.

I'm the captain of the Michigan Princess. My family started with the potter park canoe rental back in 1976 and have grown our business into what it is today. We have 3 different boats we operate today(Detroit Princess, Michigan Princess and, Grand Princess). I have grown up working on them over the years and I am now the captain of the Michigan Princess. I hope to see you on-board!
