r first dances, speeches, and ceremony was SO special. John truly captured our personalities and the joy we experienced throughout the day. He was also very discreet - it was amazing some of the footage he was able to capture without us even realizing. It was worth every penny and I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat!

deos, we were absolutely blown away. The videos we received were so amazing and the editing was superb. We were so glad to be able to relive the day by watching them. On the wedding day itself, John was seamless in coordinating with our other vendors (especially our photographer). He has a calming demeanor and was so encouraging whenever we finished a shot. My husband and I have agreed that Mid 80s was hands-down our favorite wedding vendor. Whether you live in/around the Baltimore area or you live out of town and are planning your destination wedding in Maryland, don't hesitate to hire Mid 80s Media to make your day go above and beyond!
I cannot recommend John enough! He is an incredibly talented and creative videographer who captured our wedding day perfectly. From start to finish, John was professional, friendly...
, and a pleasure to work with. He took the time to understand our vision for the day and went above and beyond to make sure that every moment was captured on film.
The final result was nothing short of amazing. John's editing skills are second to none, and he truly made us look like the stars of a movie! The film he created is simply breathtaking and everyone who has seen it has been blown away. It's clear that John has a real talent for storytelling through film, and we are so grateful that he was there to capture our special day.
In addition to his creativity and skill, John was also incredibly fast. We received both our movie and raw footage back in record time, which was a huge relief. It's clear that John takes great pride in his work and goes above and beyond to make sure his clients are happy.
If you're looking for a wedding videographer who will capture your day in the most beautiful way possible, then look no further than John. He is truly one of a kind and we feel so lucky to have worked with him. Thank you, John, for everything!
When I showed friends and family my wedding video, I received so many messages that said something along the lines of, "every cent you paid for that video was worth it." I am so, s...
o glad we decided to go with John for our videographer. He was very responsive and dedicated so much of his day to filming our wedding. He captured such beautiful shots and made a highlight video we will treasure forever. He was also willing to make a few changes to the highlight video after we saw it for the first time. I cannot recommend him more highly!

e watched our teaser video about 100 times since receiving it 2 days ago because it's just so cool and I am so impressed. John was a pleasure to work with on our wedding day and he worked really well with our photographers. Also, his pricing is extremely reasonable for the quality he produces. John is a true artist and I couldn't be more excited to see what else he creates for us.
John was chill, calm, and happy for our wedding day, which is the energy you want to have around you when it’s go-time. He worked super well with our photographer and knew the foot...
age he was looking for. We haven’t seen the complete video yet, but we know it’s going to be awesome and are super excited to see the final product. Would recommend!

accommodating, and I am so happy we booked John for our wedding.
John was incredible. Extremely communicative, responsive, and helpful. On top of being great to work with, his actual work is AMAZING. We almost didn’t get a videographer but after...
hearing from multiple people that they wish they had or that it was their best investment, we decided to take the leap. Seeing John’s portfolio made him a clear choice, as the way he layers high-quality audio recordings with stunning imagery cannot be beat in a highlight video. Seeing these amazing shots from our wedding day playing over the audio of our vows will never stop making me cry. Few videographers also offer raw footage now adays and the footage of our ceremony, speeches, and first dances is so gorgeous it feels like a fully edited film. My brother wrote and officiated our ceremony and I am SO glad I will have that entire thing to watch over and over again and eventually to show our kids. We were truly amazed at the quality and creative vision of his work and are so grateful we hired John.
Seriously, book John right now. We got our 1 minute sneak peek video back a week after our wedding and it made us SO excited to see the rest. Our highlight reel and raw footage cam...
e in 2.5 months after our big day which is so impressive, especially considering the quality of it. There were a couple of small changes we requested and he took our feedback and applied it right away. To quote a comment on my mom's Facebook page, "This is the best wedding video I've ever seen!!! I felt like I was watching a Hallmark movie." I've watched it an embarrassing amount of times. Not only is his work fantastic, but he had such a calming presence the day of. He got beautiful footage of us, our loved ones, and the venue. I can't recommend him enough. If you are on the fence about a videographer, pull the trigger. You don't realize how little you'll be processing due to adrenaline and we are beyond thankful to have these videos to watch over and over. Thank you again, John!!!
John was a fantastic addition to our vendors for our wedding. He was very professional, and did a great job going over in detail how he shoots weddings, his equipment, and style. H...
is website has very good video samples and a clear breakdown of his packages, and based on our own video, I would say his video samples are very accurate to what we got while still capturing our own event's feeling and style.
One of the best things we and many of our guests appreciated about John was his ability to put people at ease. He is very confident in finding shots and directing you, but he is also very calm, with a friendly demeanor that makes him very personable and easy to talk to and follow. It is very clear he enjoys not only videography, but working on weddings and being a part of making happy people even happier.
We are very happy with the pre wedding, day of, and post wedding experience with John, and most importantly, we love our highlight and "big moments" videos.
Thank you John!

orked seamlessly with our photographers striving to never be in their way and instead excelled at finding ways to follow their lead while making occasional suggestions so that both the photos and video truly captured the moment in their own ways. The end result was an absolutely beautiful video that we’ll be re-watching for years to come. Cannot recommend John and his team enough.

credible memories for us on our big day (including beautiful drone footage!). We were so overcome with wonderful emotion watching our highlight video, and everyone we have sent it to agrees, it is beautiful! Like our own little Hollywood Movie Trailer. Thanks to Mid 80s media for taking the time to interview us, we were so touched to hear what each other had to say when we received the video, it was like a little extra surprise gift to each other. Thank you so much for spending the day with us and capturing these memories for us in such an artistic and beautiful way!

We can’t thank John enough for being so easy to work with, thorough and professional. We contacted him very close to our (last-minute!) wedding date and he responded quickly, answe...
ring all questions and completing the contract. The day of the event, we relied on him to stage-direct everyone on what needed to be done to have beautiful shots. He was unobtrusive during the event and worked in concert with the photographer. The result – an amazing video that effortlessly told the story of the intimacy and love of our marriage day. And we had fun, no stress, all the smiles were genuine! The video has so much of the “flavor” of Baltimore in it – the textures and the feel of the Mt. Vernon neighborhood, captured with a beautiful eye for framing a scene. There’s subtle things included – the beauty of the leaves, the grandeur of the Monument, the way my spouse and I make eye contact and smile. The video is a true heirloom for our families. Thank you John, for giving us something to treasure forever.
John was the first person there the day of my wedding and he literally never stopped filming. He was so kind and patient with my hot mess of a bridal party.

gined my wedding highlight video being this incredible. When my husband and I watched it yesterday we were left completely speechless, absolutely beautiful. I was also amazed with how beautiful my raw footage was-we almost thought he extended the highlights. We are truly able to relive that entire day in about an hour and I am so grateful we found him.
John was the best ever! He was honestly almost invisible the entire day, but watching the videos after the fact, he got so many beautiful moments that I didn’t even realize he was ...
there. He was so flexible with the planning process especially during the pandemic and he even customized a package for us to include the footage that we really wanted from the day. We are so thankful for him capturing our day so beautifully, especially now when not everyone could’ve been there that we wanted. We highly highly recommend!
John was great!! Very kind and professional on the wedding day- The videos were BEAUTIFUL and he even edited it where we asked him to and he had it back to us that same day!

tting together a video with clips that flowed seamlessly. John captured great drone footage of us and of the venue that made the video look really cool and professional. I love that he recorded our vows and included them in the video as well. John's video encompassed our wedding day perfectly, he included everything that I requested and more! It is great to now be able to watch this video and relive our big day! (I may have already watched it million times lol) Also, being a COVID bride, this video is a great keepsake to show friends and family who couldn't make it in person to our wedding.

o me. When I hired John he was fairly new to the wedding videographer business, but I could tell that he had a great eye for video and a lot of talent based on couple of videos in his portfolio (and he’s only gotten better since then!) So glad we hired him because the wedding video he did for us is gorgeous, and he’s also affordable.
Our wedding day was a whirlwind but John was great at directing and framing shots. We got married in a stream and he was walking around in the water with us and willing to get the angles needed to make a great video.
Unfortunately our live-stream for our families (coronavirus wedding) cut out and nobody could watch it, but John was kind enough to stitch together an entire video of the ceremony (complete with 3 camera footage and audio) the day after the wedding so we could send it to our families. This was way above and beyond our original agreement (a 3-5min hight-light video) and I am so thankful that he put it together for us so that I didn’t have to on my honeymoon! Turnaround on the highlight video was also very quick (1 week) and we’ve gotten so many compliments on it. All in all, I’d highly recommend Mid-80’s Media.
John was absolutely outstanding. He was wonderful to work with, he worked very well with our photographer, and he was a true pleasure. We are beyond pleased with the final video,...
