Middle Collegiate Church is a historic, progressive wedding venue located in New York, NY. Middle Church is the oldest protestant congregation in North America (1626!), and our 1st FL Lobby houses the original New York Liberty Bell. Welcoming, artistic, inclusive, and bold, Middle Church has a rich relationship with the LGBTQIA2S+ community dating back to the AIDS epidemic, where Middle was one of the only churches that offered warm meals and funerals for those living and dying with HIV/AIDS. Middle Church is proud that, though we have long roots on this land, we are actively anti-racist, pro-immigration, reparations-forward, interfaith, universalist, and pro-queer and gender justice. Situated in the heart of the East Village, our venue has been newly rebuilt and is an ideal backdrop for your special gathering.
Middle Collegiate Church offers a range of distinct spaces to suit a range of wedding styles and group sizes. The Sanctuary is the grandest space and can host up to 235 guests. It is ideal for larger celebrations that call for a dramatic and expansive setting. Whether you're envisioning a full ceremony, a seated reception, or both, the Sanctuary can bring that big-day vision to life. It is bright, elegant, and flexible. The Social Hall offers a more intimate atmosphere, with a maximum capacity of 65 guests. It's ideal for more personal or smaller gatherings. The Studios on 3 and 4 welcome up to 87 guests. Each space can be transformed to best fit your vision for your special day. Some of the other spaces at Middle Collegiate Church include the 4th-floor classroom, kitchen, parlor, and podcast room. The spaces can accommodate diverse events, concerts, panels, film shoots, memorials, and more. All rooms come equipped with state-of-the-art A/V to accommodate your needs, gender inclusive restrooms, and more.
Middle Collegiate Church is a vibrant, spirit-filled worship space rooted in a multicultural, multiethnic, and intergenerational community. It offers a truly unique backdrop where every event feels connected to something greater than itself. With a strong belief in the power of love, the team at Middle Church is dedicated to making your vision a reality. Some rental add-ons to choose from include instruments, AV technicians, multi-camera livestream and video recording, and ministers to officiate. Our ministers range in denomination and identity.

Hi, I'm Elise (they/them)! I am a social worker, community organizer, and events production & management professional with over 14 years experience. I have worked in many roles at Middle Church and have just entered my 8th year at this historic, justice-forward, queer celebratory organization. I take pride in engaging proactively and warmly with clients and helping to transform your vision for your event into a meaningful, seamless reality. I can't wait to connect with you!
