Middle of the Island provided catering for our daughter's wedding on 3/16/24. Countless guests commented on how delicious the food was, how kind and helpful the service was and how efficient the process was with so many guests. Highly recommend for so many reasons.

I'm so glad we booked with MOI. We scheduled a tasting, and they accommodated this, free of charge. Everything we tried was incredible. We chose the wedding favorite and substituted a few items, which they easily accommodated. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. At the end of the night they packed each of us out own to-go container of food, because honestly during your wedding you barely have an appetite! So it was nice to be able to eat out own wedding food later in the evening/the next day. Our wedding guests have all raved about the food. We also didn't have to submit our final head count until the week of, which was really helpful, as guests typically cancel last minute. Highly recommend for any wedding or event in Wilmington, NC!

We used Middle of the Island for my wedding of ~110 guess. Fantastic food! My guests really enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms and squash casserole. We substituted the fried chicken in the wedding favorites menu. A really easy company to work with and great prices.

MOI Catering is spectacular! They catered my daughter’s wedding at The River Room in Wilmington on 4/22/23. The staff and bartenders were extremely professional and helpful and the food (we chose the Southern Buffet) was outstanding. Our wedding planner was from Charleston and does lots of large corporate events there. She exclaimed that this was the best catering crew she had ever worked with. The personnel helped in any way possible and the bartenders knew what I and many others wanted to drink each time we approached after only one trip to the bar. Impressive! CM was easy to talk with and was my point of contact with each call to MOI. If you leave a message, he will definitely call you back as soon as possible. Love this amazing vendor!

All of our guests loved the food. We received multiple compliments. We had their food at a friend’s wedding and immediately knew we would be booking them for ours. Unfortunately we lost out to-go plates the caterer made for us and we unable to try anything. (Coordinator gave them to a guest and they were misplaced ) Maybe we will cater for our 1yr anniversary so we can have everything lol. We would definitely recommend them.

MOI catered our son’s rehearsal dinner. Outstanding service and the food was exceptional. The staff were professional and helpful. We had the showcase buffet and beer and wine package. Expect a lot of food and everything was delicious. They handled everything from setup to cleanup. Staff were fun and supportive. Highly recommend them.

Middle of the Island is a great catering choice for any event and they did such a great job at our wedding! My husband and I (bride and groom) were waited on completely even though our guests ate buffet style. It was super nice to have our food first so we could eat then go talk to our guests as they finished up eating. The wait staff was great too, I don’t think anyone ever had an empty glass. We highly recommend MOI (and the squash casserole!)

FANTASTIC choice for our wedding catering. Especially if you are looking for quality, abundant food at a good price- MOI is the one! CM Rogers was great and easy to get ahold of, even in the midst of busy wedding season. We had them do an Italian buffet for dinner and a fruit/cheese display for cocktail hour. The servers and staff were wonderful and SO attentive, they poured our champagne and cut the cake, and provided plasticware as part of our package! They even brought my new husband and me a plate from the buffet station so we didn’t have to go through the line. Recommend!

While the food speaks for itself, we had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Affordable and delicious (10/10 recommend the shrimp and grits and bourbon chicken for cocktail hour). The servers were wonderful and even got into a dance off with our guests on the dancefloor (huge crowd pleaser). Highly recommend!

Middle of the Island Catering was absolutely amazing!!! We booked for our June 2021 wedding and selected the lasagna, chicken Alfredo, mixed salad, garlic bread, and their French silk pie. It was so easy to book and get everything set up. We called about 3 months before the wedding to set the date and then didn’t have to give final headcount or menus until 1 week before. It was affordable as well! We went with the Italian buffet package and everyone still talks about how good the lasagna was! Everything on the menu was delicious, they were professional, extremely nice, and went above and beyond our expectations! We would highly recommend this company for any event!

We recently moved to Wilmington, NC and got married. We did not know a whole lot about local vendors, but when asking around everybody mentioned Middle of the Island being the best. We used them for both rehearsal and the wedding and I just have to say they are THE BEST! The staff is excellent, they are some of the hardest workers you can meet, the owner loves what he does and works with his clients so well, and the food is phenomenal. For rehearsal we did the "Hawaiian Buffet" the food was so fresh, served hot, and tasted delicious. The wedding we chose the popular "Wedding Buffet" and we had more than plenty of options for all types at the wedding. I will always use Middle of the Island for any large event, and will definitely recommend it to anybody.

Delicious, affordable and flexible. Middle of the island catered our wedding 5/22/21 and it was amazing. We got SO many compliments on the food and the bartenders.  They were easy to work with and were flexible in our food selections - we were able to  customize the perfect buffet for our party. MOI was an amazing vendor to work with for our wedding and they were so easy going! The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was incredible and we had many people tell us that they truly enjoyed their meals. We would choose MOI over and over again! We were recommended MOI through our wedding planner and couldn't have been happier. Not only were they affordable, but the food was incredible, we were so excited after our taste test! CM and his team were incredible to work with and everything went so smoothly, as we used their bartending services too! We did the buffet and upgraded for the mash potato bar and it was a hit. Cocktail hour food had the guests excited for dinner - highly recommend the shrimp and grits and tomato soup and grill cheese shooters, we have friends STILL talking about cocktail hour! For dinner, service moved quickly and we had so many compliments about it being some of the best wedding food people have had. We were so happy! Our bellies were plenty full and the staff took care of us, making sure we ate enough which was so sweet. You can't go wrong with their selection, service and food! An absolute must book!

MOI is the best in Wilmington! They were absolutely amazing! My wedding guests are still talking about how wonderful the food was! The MOI staff are also so sweet! They were super attentive and were very close by while we were eating. They also packed to go plates for my husband and I. We also were a "hurricane" wedding. Hurricane Dorian was hanging out the week of our wedding. MOI was so helpful while I was so stressed. They are super laid back and told us they would be there "rain or shine."

MOI was absolutely incredible. Not only was the food fantastic, but they worked with us to create the exact menu we wanted, were flexible to changes (even last minute ones), and made sure that my husband and I ate and had plenty of leftover food for later. The staff was friendly and kind and I loved having them as a part of our day. I literally cannot say enough about how great they were.

We knew going in that MOI had such a great reputation and man, did it not disappoint! We had SO many of our guests rave about the food at our wedding! So glad we chose MOI! For those that are a little anxious about CM not giving a formal contract - do not fret. He has his reasons and always follows through. He and his cooks and servers do not disappoint and the food is fantastic! Thank you MOI for making our wedding day so tasty!

YUM. I had so many guests tell me that MOI provided the best food they've ever had at a wedding! We chose the Wedding Grand Buffet and every single thing was delicious! Their servers were also incredibly kind and easy to work with. You definitely will not be disappointed!

Their food is AMAZING. Everyone at the wedding raved about it. Not only to the serve the best food, but their staff is so helpful. They were there from start to finish and were a huge part in making the wedding day go by without a hitch.

MOI never disappoints! The food was delicious and the staff was incredible! MOI was easy to talk to and willing to accommodate any special requests. Due to a seasonal hurricane we had to postpone our wedding. MOI was super quick to respond and happy to accommodate the new date. I can't thank the staff enough for all their hard work! I am still craving more of the strawberry salad.

Middle of the Island is the best caterer in town. They ave such a wide variety of food choices that you can't go wrong with anything you pick. We loved the Wedding Favorite buffet option. It had something for everyone and everything was delicious. They are affordable, easy to work with, and go above and beyond to make sure everything goes well. I was shocked by how fast all of my guests had food. And they packed up all of our leftovers at the end of the night as well as a midnight snack for us when we got home. You can't go wrong with this company. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing food, service, and communication. My guests loved the food. They prepared a fantastic vegan option for one of my guests and made sure the groom and I got food. They even helped set up the venue. Best decision I made.

Everything about working with MOI went smoothly! The food, service, and professionalism was great! We had some guests with dietary restrictions and MOI made sure they provided options for those guests. The strawberry spinach salad and squash casserole were our favorite things! Everything else was delicious, too!

Everyone ranted and raved over our southern buffet at the wedding reception, let's just say there were no leftovers!

Seriously, MOI is the best! Not only do they have a million options for food, they are super accommodating to individual needs! We basically told them the type of food we wanted, and they made it happen. The food was amazing, but the staff is really what impressed us. All the staff was extremely polite and made sure that everyone was well taken care of. I don't know if they did this for all guests, but I know they made sure the bridal party and their parents had a drink in their hand (if they wanted it), which we appreciated it! They brought me and my husband our food right to the head table and checked on us regularly. Would totally recommend and use again!

Reasonably priced and the food is amazing!

MOI was nothing short of AMAZING!!! the staff was SO friendly and helpful. complimenting so many things about our wedding which made it feel even more special. they were so kind and thoughtful to both me and my groom but also the entire wedding guests. we couldn't have asked for better service or food! the hardest part was figuring out which of their amazing foods to limit ourselves to!

Great food for great prices! Big warning- they do NOT DO SIGNED CONTRACTS, so if that’s a big deal for whoever is paying for your wedding be warned. They are very fair with pricing and have great wait staff and bar staff. Thanks, CM!

If you live in Wilmington and have been to any event chances are you have had MOI. Its freaking delicious (pardon my French). They can tailor each menu to have exactly what you want. I asked our wedding planner to make sure that we had a plate of food to go and boy did she deliver. The food was so delicious that my husband and I took it to the airport with us when we left for Iceland. People were jealous. Definitely way better than any other caterer I've had in Wilmington and for half the price. Thanks CM, it was amazing!

Phenomenal! Middle of the Island catered my wedding of 91 people and they were simply fantastic. They are SO laid back, so easy going I cannot express enough how nice this is when you are planning a wedding. They responded almost immediately to all my emails and phone calls. The day of the wedding they made my husband and I feel like royalty, the wait staff and bartenders were SO friendly and great at what they do. And the food was SO good!! Zero complaints, very impressed, I highly recommend.

You will not find a better caterer. Stop looking. They have amazing food and are extremely affordable. Their bartenders were on POINT. Several of my guests told me as soon as they even headed toward the bar, the bartender was pouring another glass/opening their drink of choice. Also, they work well with the other vendors (which is just nice to know if you're into teamwork).

Best food and wait staff in town! All the best weddings have this place which is why I used them! They never disappoint!

You can also book cocktail hour appetizers, bartenders and a china package through MOI. This was very convenient for us. I highly recommend using them for your wedding or other catering needs. :)

Thank you times a million to catering to our guests, making sure our plates were fixed so we could enjoy the wonderful food, and making plates for our guest with special needs that could not walk to the Buffett. You all were a pleasure to work with. The balsamic chicken, squash casserole, and strawberry spinach salad were my favorites.

We had MOI for my wedding on May 27,2018. From start to finish they were professional and answered any questions I had. The food is AMAZING! Middle of the Island was AMAZING!! They not only took care of our meal at the reception but also took care of a last minute "snag" we ran into just 12 days before the wedding. Their staff was so professional and kind to us and our guests! They provided appetizers during our cocktail hour and a wonderful taco bar that was enjoyed by all! They also gave me and my husband a take away meal as we made our getaway from the reception. The bartenders took care of our guests as we danced the night away and they allowed us to bring in our own alcohol while it was served by MOI staff. This is the cater you want at your event or wedding!!

My wife and I got married at the end of October and Middle of the Island catered our wedding and they were amazing! We received so many compliments on the service and food (the squash casserole is to die for!). They were very attentive, personable and professional. We will definitely do business with them again!

Middle of the Island was perfect as always! They were my first and only choice for my wedding! I first had MOI Catering at a friend's wedding and another wedding after that and they are the absolute best! We chose the Prime Rib buffet and did the Shrimp and Grits for our cocktail hour. All my guests were raving about the food and the service during the reception was incredible and very professional! Thank you so much MOI Catering!

The food was delicious and the caterer was so easy to work with! Unlike other wedding vendors there was no contract, more of a handshake agreement. We got married at the NC Aquarium and they brought everything (serving trays, food heaters, flatware, etc.) and even served the wedding cake. Our guests are still talking about how yummy the food was. I highly recommend MOI, they are worth every penny!

You cannot beat MOI's food. They are easy to work with and never disappoint. It was by far the easiest part of wedding planning. I loved how their employees jumped in to help our planner flip the ceremony space for the reception. They were so pleasant and helpful all evening. They served all of my grandparents who were unable to walk through the buffet lines themselves. They even made a comment on how sweet the speeches were and how happy they were for us! Great prices, great food, and great staff!

Cannot say enough positive things about CM and the staff at MOI! Holy cow! The food first off is so delicious! From the appetizers to the main meal, everything was so flavorful, fresh and wonderful. They traveled from Wilmington to Raleigh for our event and even still, no dry wedding chicken! Leading up to the event, CM was the easiest, most calm person to work with. No matter when I called or emailed he was always quick to respond with such a positive attitude! Always ending the call saying to call him for any questions, thoughts or concerns. Most vendors say this, but he was serious and genuine making the whole process seamless. We didnt even have to worry about our guest count or final menu till about a week before the wedding! The staff on the day of were just as wonderful as CM. We had a sweetheart table and were continually checked on by a staff member to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and taken care of. Guests continually told us they were well taken care of and all staff members were beyond friendly! They even stepped in and served our cake and provided plates as well as silverware when we hadnt even talked to them about it! They just came prepared and eager to do whatever necessary to make sure there was not a worry in the world for us or our families during the reception! From food to service, everything was absolutely perfect!

I still have people telling me that the food at our wedding was so delicious! There were so many options to choose from at such an affordable price, but most of all, they provided quality food that everyone enjoyed! I'm still excited that there is leftover squash casserole in my freezer! :) I would highly recommend working with them!

To be honest, we didn’t even taste test our food. My now husband and his family have had MOI food several times and highly recommended them. Turns out, I really didn’t need to. The food was phenomenal! You can’t go wrong with the chicken, prime rib, or the creamed corn! So good! The staff was so awesome and made sure we were completely taken care of the entire time! We had several compliments on the food and service. We can’t thank MOI enough for catering to us and our guests – they helped create our most favorite day!

Middle of the Island provided INCREDIBLE food for us at our wedding. We chose to do a family style dinner and our guests raved about both the taste of the food and the uniqueness of choosing family style. MOI worked with us to make sure we got exactly the food we wanted and made sure to provide gluten free options for specific quests upon request. We do not have a single regret choosing Middle of the Island Catering... and my mom keeps saying she needs to make sure she has the Balsamic Chicken again at some point (so good)!!

MOI catered my Wedding this past October and I couldn't ask for a better catering company. The food was to die for, and I felt so at ease and comfortable choosing which options I wanted to go with! I would absolutely recommend anyone wanting a delicious catered meal to book with MOI!

MOI did a superb job for the wedding weekend. Had them cater a Welcome Party on Friday night and then the Reception on Sat. CM is so easy to work with, nothing to do except call a week ahead with a final number and menu. We wanted the menus to be different so it wouldn't seem like a repeat on Sat...both evenings turned out to be so distinctive and amazingly delicious....fried chicken and BBQ sliders for the informal Friday night event....because the bride is vegetarian, we also had 2 different salads, beans and rice, cheese grits and a mashed potato bar....everyone thought it could not be improved upon, but Sat. night the offerings were even better with prime rib, marinated chicken, 2 different salads, penne with roasted veggies, roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes and squash casserole. Weeks later, friends are still raving about the food and the quality of service. Amy was the team captain, and she ensured that everything went smoothly. She has an amazing smile and she worked so hard to coordinate with the event person and the dj. The bride and groom wanted a few minutes prior to the reception to just sit quietly and have something to eat before being announced as husband and wife. Amy and her staff prepared individual plates for each of them and delivered them even before the rest of the food was set out. What a personal touch that was. The prices were very reasonable, and I can't imagine any other caterer providing the service and the quality that we experienced. From set up to clean up, it all was grand.

Middle of the Island was incredible. I was planning our wedding from out of town so I had to go off of other people's recommendations. My coordinator mentioned MOI and so we booked a tasting. CM was so easy to work with, personable, returns calls and answers questions in a timely manner. For the slightly OCD/perfectionist bride who has lists and contracts printed out for everything, you might be a little put off by his method, but he pulls through with no letdown. No contract, he basically gives you his word, doesn't need menu choice or headcount until one week out, no deposit needed, pay day-of. The food was absolutely delicious, and all of our guests raved about it. I didn't hear a single complaint. They even packed up the leftovers into to-go boxes without us even asking. Needless to say we got to enjoy the food for a few more days. Highly recommend!

Our wedding coordinator, Brittany Koontz, recommended MOI catering to us for our wedding at Wrightsville Manor and we couldn't have been happier! We live in Chicago so basically planned everything via email/phone, and didn't even taste anything before the wedding. We had heard so many good things we weren't worried. CM was so easy to work with and so accommodating to the custom menu we wanted! Everything was SO good and the guests raved about the food. We had fried chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, fish and chips, salads, shrimp cocktail, oysters, sliders, bacon wrapped scallops, and lots of other little appetizers. The staff working the wedding was so friendly and efficient and I never saw them stop running around. They also magically appeared everywhere the groom and I were to make sure we had food and didn't need anything. They set aside a lot of food for us and packed leftovers too. One waitress even ran out to the trolley to make sure we had our Chicago style hot dogs to go!!! Would 100% recommend!! THANK YOU!!! :)

Middle of the Island is hands down, the best catering vendor! CM is awesome! He was super helpful and answered my questions so quickly...no matter how many I had! He is so knowledgeable, and that proved to be super helpful as we planned for feeding our guests. MOI has an outstanding menu, and the food surely did not disappoint!

Middle of the Island made my wedding day so much easier and stress-free! Any time I had a question, someone was always there to answer and the staff were so easy to work with. Planning the menu was a breeze! On the wedding day, the food was absolutely amazing (as it had been at our tasting), and that has been one of the most common comments we've had on the wedding -- which was music to our ears! They are also very reasonably priced, and are an amazing value for all the services they provide! We worried about nothing the entire time, and the service staff kept everything cleaned and hidden away -- perfect experience! Highly recommended for any event!!

Middle of the Island provided fantastic service and food to us and our guests! They were great to work with, particularly with a vegetarian like myself who married a man that enjoys his wings and shrimp! They have great ideas and excellent communication. And, I can't elaborate enough on how awesome the food was, if Middle of the Island was a restaurant, I would eat there often! I highly recommend this caterer!

After doing a taste test in Wilmington, I knew I wanted MOI to cater my wedding reception. Their food was delicious, affordable and the process was stress free. Although they don't do contracts, there were so many great reviews I decided to go for it! I was not disappointed. The owner is very relaxed, which is nice when you are trying to avoid getting too stressed during the planning process. Day of wedding went smoothly, and the company knew what to do to get everything in order as they had so much experience, even in the venue we had rented. We paid for two bartenders from them as well, and provided our own beer and wine. It worked out perfectly. My only concern was that the leftover food was left on the counter overnight instead of being put in the large refrigerator in the kitchen, much to my dismay. I was SO excited for leftover the week after the wedding because the food was so good. That is partially my parents fault, however, for leaving the building without doing a walkthrough (we had the venue all weekend, so cleanup was saved for the next day). The price for our buffet style dinner was $15 per person, plus fees for waiters, bartenders, travel (wilmington to topsail), etc.

He was always there to answer any questions I had and helped us through the tasting and menu planning. The servers and bartenders were very polite and helpful during our reception. They neatly boxed up any leftover food and sent it home with us. I highly recommend them for any of your catering needs.

MOI is the best in town as far as quality and amount of money you will pay goes. The food is fantastic and all of our guests loved it. It didn't completely break us either to have to pay for it like some of the other caterers we checked with. The owner, CM, is wonderful to work with and very easy to talk to. After we booked, each time we told someone we were using Middle of the Island as our caterer, they told us we were in great hands. And, Middle of the Island did not disappoint! Everyone raved about the food! The best part was that the food was such a great price! Try the marinated chicken!

So many of our guests raved about the food. It was all excellent and he did everything I wanted. The servers were so sweet and very attentive they made me feel like a princess. We added a mashed potato bar and it was only $1 a person and the crab dip was phenomenal! I couldn't have found a better caterer for good southern seafood and comfort food.

We definitely wanted southern comfort food for our wedding, and Middle of the Island delivered! We did the Southern Buffet which included 2 entrees (we did pulled pork and marinated chicken) and 6 side items (we did mac-n-cheese, green beans, baked beans, spinach/strawberry salad, mashed potatoes, and peach cobbler). All of the food was delicious! Our guests were very complimentary. The staff was very courteous and professional and did everything possible to take care of us. My only suggestion, is to be ready for a "laid back" experience. C.M. the owner is excellent at what he does, but don't expect a contract or to even set your menu till the week before!

We knew we wanted MOI for our catering from day 1. Even when we found out that we needed to cut back on our budget, the catering was one of the exceptions. My hubby has been eating at MOI since they were an actual restaurant. CM is a joy to work with and is very flexible with anything you need. They are by for the most inexpensive caterer with the best food around. I would recommend them a thousand times over if I could. We managed to grab some "to-go" boxes for any guests that wanted to take anything home. The servers were so awesome making these! They separated the seafood from everything else just in case there were allergies. I love MOI and everything that they stand for. HIGHLY recommended! You will not be disappointed!

I was amazed at how well Middle of the Island performed in all areas, from CM working with us at the tasting to Pauline setting up the day of and lets not forget the incredible food. Everyone I spoke to could not quit raving about the food, we had the southern buffet of pork loin and jerk chicken with 6 sides for $12 a person!! Middle of the Island is the way to go and our reception couldn't have been more perfect because of them.

My husband and I loved our experience with Middle of the Island! CM was fantastic to work with and so laid-back and flexible. He arranged a wonderful tasting for us, and gave us really helpful advice for planning our menu. He was totally up-front about the cost, and there were no hidden expenses to find out about later. The value was unbeatable- the pricing was very competitive and included everything we needed. The staff did a wonderful job assembling our dinner at the venue, and the food was phenomenal! We got compliments on it all night. One of the staff members made sure to let us know that our leftovers had been packaged at the end of the night. The whole experience was wonderful!

This is the best catering in Wilmington. I have no doubt. For months after the wedding, guests continued to call me and say things like, “Oh, the wedding was great. We had a wonderful time. BUT THE FOOD – Who was it? Where are they from? Can they travel?” They were the hit. When we did our original tasting with CM, he brought out trays of food for us to try and we knew what we wanted. He was super flexible, easy to work with, and didn’t hunt you down like some of the other vendors I’ve worked with. In fact, 3 days before, I called him and asked him if we could do a Mojito Bar, and he was all for it! What a great company and what GREAT FOOD!

Great communication, great food, great price, and CM is the best! Can I add more stars for how awesome they are?

The staff and the food were amazing. I had a special drink that the bartender picked up with no problem and everyone loved it. The staff was always helpful keeping everyone happy. The food was better than when we went to go taste it. All around great experience with MOI. I would highly recommend them.

They were very easy to work with and provided amazing food at an affordable price! The staff that worked the event were a pleasure and did a great job of taking care of us and our guests. People were complimenting us on the food all night long!

The food was delicious, and the prices were fantastic. I would use this caterer again and again. They even offered to send someone out to grab a cake when ours didn't show up! (Different vendor) The service was professional and friendly as well.

CM and his staff were so awesome! They went above and beyond by waiting on me and the groom, cutting the cake and pouring champagne. They also stayed late to help clean up, which they did not have to! And the food was amazing! SO many of my guests raved about how good it was, and more than one said the fried chicken was the best ever!

Everyone raved about the food and service from Middle of the Island. We had a great time and felt so lucky that they were able to be our caterers for the big day!

MOI has amazing food and is affordably priced. All our guests talked about the food days after the wedding. We would recommend them to everyone!
