MOI was awesome to work with! They have so many catering options to choose from and we were able to get exactly what we wanted. Their staff were so nice and professional. All of our guests were raving about how good everything was even after the wedding! Definitely recommend.

We hosted our son’s wedding reception in Oct. 2024, a beautiful barn setting in Tabor City, North Carolina. We have many wedding vendors to thank for a flawless event. At the top of the list is Middle of the Island Caterers who provided all of the food and dinnerware for the event. Notwithstanding the fact that the food was outstanding we were extremely impressed with their ability to think on their feet, their willingness to make menu adjustments, and their preparation for dealing with adverse circumstances. From pre-planning to the actual event, the logistics alone for serving 125 guests so far from their home base in Wilmington seemed daunting to me but C. M. and his staff took it in stride with all the professionalism you can hope for. A brief loss of power at the site was no challenge for them as they simply fired up their generator to cover the gap. Their mobile food facility was impressive, and I can’t thank the serving staff enough for their organization and hard work. They are a five star company and we highly recommend them to anyone. Their set up was more than gorgeous, and the food was second to none. Today, six months later, we continue to get compliments about the gorgeous display and delicious food. Web have been told that it was the best food anyone has ever had at a wedding reception, and we must agree! The prime rib absolutely melted in your mouth, and we got so many compliments on the squash casserole! Our son, the groom actually called us from the airport on the way to their honeymoon in Hawaii to ask us to save him some of squash casserole that was leftover! Everything was absolutely delicious and the set up was gorgeous! The staff accommodated our every request and the and they even served the bride and groom and anyone who else, needed help! They were very attentive to our elderly guests and though it was a buffet, they served them and were very kind and thoughtful of every need! You could not find a better group of people to cater your wedding! Everything was absolutely perfect and again the food was the best! We cannot thank them enough for making our son’s wedding so perfect and memorable! CM and his staff will always be remembered fondly for their kindness ,patience and flawless service that they rendered! Throughout the planning, though Only done over the phone and Internet due to logistics, CM showed great patience and understanding and assured me all along the way things would be perfectly fine and he was more than accommodating to make menu changes & adjustments as I requested without ever complaining. The staff kindly packed up all the leftovers for us, and they even made to go meals for the bride & groom to have with them when they left. As the mother, I can never thank CM enough! He could not have made our day more perfect and memorable, and we will forever be grateful! We highly recommend MOI Catering!

Best service ever and lots of menu options to choose from. Great price for the amount of food provided. The servers were so fun, sweet, and efficient. The bartenders were a big hit.

OH MY GOSH. I have already started recommending MOI to people and we just used them 3 days ago. They are top notch. Not only was the food phenomenal, the staff was very professional, presentation was great, they snuck off with some food for wedding party as we took photos (wonderful surprise!) and brought plates ASAP to bride and groom so I was able to eat and honestly if I didnt have my plate in the few minutes I had at the start, likely wouldnt have gotten to eat. I was pumped I had leftovers to bring home! Menu options are wide and comprehensive. Loved them and 100% recommend!

I would recommend MIO to anyone! They cantered my wedding, and people complimented us on the food all evening!

Middle of the Island catered my daughter’s wedding at Oxbow Estate in Clayton this month The food was prepared on site, delicious, fresh and hot. CM and his staff provided excellent service and was exceptional to work with. Guests raved about the food and service.

If you are looking for reasonable prices with delicious food that will have your guest going back for seconds and thirds this is the catering company you want. Our cocktail hour with meatballs and wings, which my coworkers are still talking about. We had a buffet option at our wedding and everyone was so pleased with how good the food was. Their Caesar salad is a must have at your wedding or any event. It is the best Caesar salad I have ever had. Their service also comes with servers to clear your tables and also came with a cake cutting service where cake is served to each table. At the end of the night, they boxed up all our leftovers and even made two plates for me and my husband to have later. They were also so sweet and boxed up some cake for us and even put silverware and bottles of water with our plates . They offer so many different options in their catering service and I’m sure you will definitely find one that matches what you want on your special day.

Middle of the Island provided catering for our daughter's wedding on 3/16/24. Countless guests commented on how delicious the food was, how kind and helpful the service was and how efficient the process was with so many guests. Highly recommend for so many reasons.

I'm so glad we booked with MOI. We scheduled a tasting, and they accommodated this, free of charge. Everything we tried was incredible. We chose the wedding favorite and substituted a few items, which they easily accommodated. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. At the end of the night they packed each of us out own to-go container of food, because honestly during your wedding you barely have an appetite! So it was nice to be able to eat out own wedding food later in the evening/the next day. Our wedding guests have all raved about the food. We also didn't have to submit our final head count until the week of, which was really helpful, as guests typically cancel last minute. Highly recommend for any wedding or event in Wilmington, NC!

We used Middle of the Island for my wedding of ~110 guess. Fantastic food! My guests really enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms and squash casserole. We substituted the fried chicken in the wedding favorites menu. A really easy company to work with and great prices.

MOI Catering is spectacular! They catered my daughter’s wedding at The River Room in Wilmington on 4/22/23. The staff and bartenders were extremely professional and helpful and the food (we chose the Southern Buffet) was outstanding. Our wedding planner was from Charleston and does lots of large corporate events there. She exclaimed that this was the best catering crew she had ever worked with. The personnel helped in any way possible and the bartenders knew what I and many others wanted to drink each time we approached after only one trip to the bar. Impressive! CM was easy to talk with and was my point of contact with each call to MOI. If you leave a message, he will definitely call you back as soon as possible. Love this amazing vendor!

All of our guests loved the food. We received multiple compliments. We had their food at a friend’s wedding and immediately knew we would be booking them for ours. Unfortunately we lost out to-go plates the caterer made for us and we unable to try anything. (Coordinator gave them to a guest and they were misplaced ) Maybe we will cater for our 1yr anniversary so we can have everything lol. We would definitely recommend them.

MOI catered our son’s rehearsal dinner. Outstanding service and the food was exceptional. The staff were professional and helpful. We had the showcase buffet and beer and wine package. Expect a lot of food and everything was delicious. They handled everything from setup to cleanup. Staff were fun and supportive. Highly recommend them.

Middle of the Island is a great catering choice for any event and they did such a great job at our wedding! My husband and I (bride and groom) were waited on completely even though our guests ate buffet style. It was super nice to have our food first so we could eat then go talk to our guests as they finished up eating. The wait staff was great too, I don’t think anyone ever had an empty glass. We highly recommend MOI (and the squash casserole!)

FANTASTIC choice for our wedding catering. Especially if you are looking for quality, abundant food at a good price- MOI is the one! CM Rogers was great and easy to get ahold of, even in the midst of busy wedding season. We had them do an Italian buffet for dinner and a fruit/cheese display for cocktail hour. The servers and staff were wonderful and SO attentive, they poured our champagne and cut the cake, and provided plasticware as part of our package! They even brought my new husband and me a plate from the buffet station so we didn’t have to go through the line. Recommend!

While the food speaks for itself, we had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Affordable and delicious (10/10 recommend the shrimp and grits and bourbon chicken for cocktail hour). The servers were wonderful and even got into a dance off with our guests on the dancefloor (huge crowd pleaser). Highly recommend!

Middle of the Island Catering was absolutely amazing!!! We booked for our June 2021 wedding and selected the lasagna, chicken Alfredo, mixed salad, garlic bread, and their French silk pie. It was so easy to book and get everything set up. We called about 3 months before the wedding to set the date and then didn’t have to give final headcount or menus until 1 week before. It was affordable as well! We went with the Italian buffet package and everyone still talks about how good the lasagna was! Everything on the menu was delicious, they were professional, extremely nice, and went above and beyond our expectations! We would highly recommend this company for any event!

We recently moved to Wilmington, NC and got married. We did not know a whole lot about local vendors, but when asking around everybody mentioned Middle of the Island being the best. We used them for both rehearsal and the wedding and I just have to say they are THE BEST! The staff is excellent, they are some of the hardest workers you can meet, the owner loves what he does and works with his clients so well, and the food is phenomenal. For rehearsal we did the "Hawaiian Buffet" the food was so fresh, served hot, and tasted delicious. The wedding we chose the popular "Wedding Buffet" and we had more than plenty of options for all types at the wedding. I will always use Middle of the Island for any large event, and will definitely recommend it to anybody.

Delicious, affordable and flexible. Middle of the island catered our wedding 5/22/21 and it was amazing. We got SO many compliments on the food and the bartenders.  They were easy to work with and were flexible in our food selections - we were able to  customize the perfect buffet for our party. MOI was an amazing vendor to work with for our wedding and they were so easy going! The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was incredible and we had many people tell us that they truly enjoyed their meals. We would choose MOI over and over again! We were recommended MOI through our wedding planner and couldn't have been happier. Not only were they affordable, but the food was incredible, we were so excited after our taste test! CM and his team were incredible to work with and everything went so smoothly, as we used their bartending services too! We did the buffet and upgraded for the mash potato bar and it was a hit. Cocktail hour food had the guests excited for dinner - highly recommend the shrimp and grits and tomato soup and grill cheese shooters, we have friends STILL talking about cocktail hour! For dinner, service moved quickly and we had so many compliments about it being some of the best wedding food people have had. We were so happy! Our bellies were plenty full and the staff took care of us, making sure we ate enough which was so sweet. You can't go wrong with their selection, service and food! An absolute must book!

MOI is the best in Wilmington! They were absolutely amazing! My wedding guests are still talking about how wonderful the food was! The MOI staff are also so sweet! They were super attentive and were very close by while we were eating. They also packed to go plates for my husband and I. We also were a "hurricane" wedding. Hurricane Dorian was hanging out the week of our wedding. MOI was so helpful while I was so stressed. They are super laid back and told us they would be there "rain or shine."

MOI was absolutely incredible. Not only was the food fantastic, but they worked with us to create the exact menu we wanted, were flexible to changes (even last minute ones), and made sure that my husband and I ate and had plenty of leftover food for later. The staff was friendly and kind and I loved having them as a part of our day. I literally cannot say enough about how great they were.

We knew going in that MOI had such a great reputation and man, did it not disappoint! We had SO many of our guests rave about the food at our wedding! So glad we chose MOI! For those that are a little anxious about CM not giving a formal contract - do not fret. He has his reasons and always follows through. He and his cooks and servers do not disappoint and the food is fantastic! Thank you MOI for making our wedding day so tasty!

YUM. I had so many guests tell me that MOI provided the best food they've ever had at a wedding! We chose the Wedding Grand Buffet and every single thing was delicious! Their servers were also incredibly kind and easy to work with. You definitely will not be disappointed!

Their food is AMAZING. Everyone at the wedding raved about it. Not only to the serve the best food, but their staff is so helpful. They were there from start to finish and were a huge part in making the wedding day go by without a hitch.

MOI never disappoints! The food was delicious and the staff was incredible! MOI was easy to talk to and willing to accommodate any special requests. Due to a seasonal hurricane we had to postpone our wedding. MOI was super quick to respond and happy to accommodate the new date. I can't thank the staff enough for all their hard work! I am still craving more of the strawberry salad.

Middle of the Island is the best caterer in town. They ave such a wide variety of food choices that you can't go wrong with anything you pick. We loved the Wedding Favorite buffet option. It had something for everyone and everything was delicious. They are affordable, easy to work with, and go above and beyond to make sure everything goes well. I was shocked by how fast all of my guests had food. And they packed up all of our leftovers at the end of the night as well as a midnight snack for us when we got home. You can't go wrong with this company. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing food, service, and communication. My guests loved the food. They prepared a fantastic vegan option for one of my guests and made sure the groom and I got food. They even helped set up the venue. Best decision I made.

Everything about working with MOI went smoothly! The food, service, and professionalism was great! We had some guests with dietary restrictions and MOI made sure they provided options for those guests. The strawberry spinach salad and squash casserole were our favorite things! Everything else was delicious, too!

Seriously, MOI is the best! Not only do they have a million options for food, they are super accommodating to individual needs! We basically told them the type of food we wanted, and they made it happen. The food was amazing, but the staff is really what impressed us. All the staff was extremely polite and made sure that everyone was well taken care of. I don't know if they did this for all guests, but I know they made sure the bridal party and their parents had a drink in their hand (if they wanted it), which we appreciated it! They brought me and my husband our food right to the head table and checked on us regularly. Would totally recommend and use again!
