Midnight Mixtape is a wedding and party band based in Austin, TX.
We know there’s a lot of noise to wade through out there, so let us help. You can expect lots of 80s, New Wave, AM country, modern Indie and 60’s R&B. You help curate the setlist for your special night, choosing from an extensive list of songs- picking ten "must haves", and building from there! We can also provide a cocktail set from the Golden Age of Jazz (60s/70s modal and fusion) when you need to make it swanky!
Our music has been featured by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Paste, Spin, Billboard and NPR. Available as a 4 to 6 piece (but trust us, you’ll want those horns!)

was literally like a mix cd I would have made for my crush back when cd burners were a thing. Look, I’m not embarrassed to say I was a hipster in the 00s and my art school friends said this was the best wedding band they’d seen.
What truly impressed me was their professionalism and attention to detail. They coordinated seamlessly with me—Shawn was responsive and direct in all communications. I really felt like he cared about the night going off without a hitch.
For example, I lost track of time and realized we needed to cut the cake PRONTO. The band was more than gracious, pausing their set and they even started to play a beautifully nostalgic rendition of the wedding march as we cut the cake. I work with a lot of artists and creative types, and I know how rare it is to find a crew with no ego, all heart. That’s Midnight Mixtape. I heartily recommend them for any and all special occasions.
