About this vendor
Midnight Mixtape is a wedding and party band based in Austin, TX.
We know there’s a lot of noise to wade through out there, so let us help. You can expect lots of 80s, New Wave, AM country, modern Indie and 60’s R&B. You help curate the setlist for your special night, choosing from an extensive list of songs- picking ten "must haves", and building from there! We can also provide a cocktail set from the Golden Age of Jazz (60s/70s modal and fusion) when you need to make it swanky!
Our music has been featured by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Paste, Spin, Billboard and NPR. Available as a 4 to 6 piece (but trust us, you’ll want those horns!)

If you’re looking for Let’s Dance by Bowie instead of the Electric Slide, Midnight Mixtape is the band for the job. They played my wedding and set the perfect vibe. Their playlist ...
was literally like a mix cd I would have made for my crush back when cd burners were a thing. Look, I’m not embarrassed to say I was a hipster in the 00s and my art school friends said this was the best wedding band they’d seen.
What truly impressed me was their professionalism and attention to detail. They coordinated seamlessly with me—Shawn was responsive and direct in all communications. I really felt like he cared about the night going off without a hitch.
For example, I lost track of time and realized we needed to cut the cake PRONTO. The band was more than gracious, pausing their set and they even started to play a beautifully nostalgic rendition of the wedding march as we cut the cake. I work with a lot of artists and creative types, and I know how rare it is to find a crew with no ego, all heart. That’s Midnight Mixtape. I heartily recommend them for any and all special occasions.
This band was amazing! They played for my son's wedding for about 150 guests. The band dazzled every single one, and it seemed like they were playing just for each guest. We had so...
many compliments. Midnight Mixtape really made the evening unforgettable!
Great wedding band!! All the covers were so on point and the band had such great energy- I watched them as a guest but will definitely keep them in mind when I get married!
