Midnight Sun Cakery

We booked our wedding through Alaska Destination Weddings and as part of our package we received a cake from Midnight Sun Cakery. My husband and myself are not huge cake fans but this was by far the best cake we have ever ate. I woke up the next day and had another slice for breakfast the day after our wedding. I will forever dream about this cake. If only we could have more shipped to Missouri.

I don’t recommend going through this business. I only gave them two stars, instead of the well deserved one star, mostly because the cake was decent and looked kind-of like what I envisioned. The amount of grief this person put me through, I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone; I spent many a night being frustrated and crying over the drama this cake caused. The owner may be good at making cakes, but they truly need to go to business school or take a course at the university because the lack of communication, customer service, and business etiquette taints the quality of the product to the point that I wished I baked the cake myself. Overall, I don’t recommend wasting your money, your time, or your well-being, over working with this so-called “business”. Just because you might have a knack for doing something doesn’t mean you have the skills to run a business.

Anita makes delicious cakes that are out of this world and have an amazing talent with her artistic skills! She was extremely flexible when we changed our topper for our cake. She was fun to talk with and when you do the cake tasting, IT'S GOING TO BE HARD TO DECIDE ON WHAT FLAVORS YOU WANT!!!!! So, we decided on four flavors :D mango, raspberry, almond joy and red velvet.... You will be satisfied by Anita and her service! Thank you Anita!! Julian and Brittney

Anita and her crew did amazing work on my cake. When I went to pick it up, I was stressed out from running errands all day - frazzled at some mishaps I had run into. I stepped in, Anita showed me the cake, and I nearly broke down in tears. I LOVED it so much. She made a beautiful cake, exactly like I wanted. Was able to decorate it with the right colors (even going out of her way to find copper ribbon) and flowers from our florist. Not to mention - it tasted AMAZING.

I had my wedding cake made at Midnight Sun Cakery and I don't think I'll ever be able to purchase anything from another bakery again. Anita and her crew are so incredible! She let us use our own honey in our frosting, and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined! It was definitely our guests favorite part of the night! I can't wait for our aniversary to eat the rest of it!

About 6 months prior to our June 2016 wedding, my mom and I met with Anita at Midnight Sun Cakery for a cake tasting consultation. Not only was our meeting with Anita very professional and a lot of fun but we also both left the meeting talking about how it was the BEST cake we had ever had! The consistency was perfection. We got a 4 tier cake (each tier a different flavor) and an extra sheet cake to ensure we had more pieces of cake than guests and there was not a single piece of cake left over! All our guests raved about how delicious it was. Aside from the cake tasting phenomenal, it was also impressive in its presentation - very pretty! I definitely recommend Midnight Sun Cakery to anyone looking for a tasty and beautiful cake for any type of event. I know my wedding will not be the last time I indulge in that goodness! AMAZING!!! I loved working with Anita. Everything was PERFECT. I cannot recommend midnight sun more. DEFINITELY choose midnight sun. She did table cakes for us and our bridal party cake. so 16 cakes in all, and also cake squares. Just a delight all around. Best cake I've ever eaten. By far. Everyone was SO impressed.

I have ordered all of my specialty and special event cakes from her. Her cakes look amazing and taste even better and that's what I wanted for my wedding, GOOD CAKE!
