Did a great job keeping the party going all night long. Very informative and communicated well.
Our guests had so much fun at our wedding reception thanks to Midwest Dueling Pianos. The performers were a huge help right from the start of the night helping us get from the entrance to the cake cutting to the speeches and everything ran smoothly. The show was a lot of fun, and I think it was a great alternative to a DJ, which neither of us wanted for our wedding reception. People were dancing all night and raving about it the next day!
Hiring the Midwest Dueling Pianos was the best decision we made! We fell in love with the idea from a friend's wedding and knew ever since that we wanted to have dueling pianos at our wedding! So upon our engagement, they were the first vender we booked! They are SO talented and had everyone on the dance floor all night. Our guests are still talking about how awesome of an idea it was to have them! We can't thank them enough for making our day so special and unforgettable!
Midwest dueling pianos made our wedding one of a kind. My husband and I met at a piano bar and wanted to do something special to us. When we called Midwest dueling pianos we couldn’t believe how reasonably priced and flexible they were. All of our guests loved the pianos and hadn’t seen anything like it. They kept the dance floor packed the entire night. The requests made it extra fun because our guests got so excited to hear their songs. The only thing we’d change about our wedding is we wish we had a bigger dance floor. The dueling pianos are the perfect fit because guests of all ages enjoyed them. Highly recommend requesting Rusty. He is so talented. It’s been over a month and everyone is still talking about how fun the wedding was. Call them - you won’t regret it. You get amazing & fun entertainment for a fraction of the cost of a live band!!!
When we first put the dueling piano idea on the table, we were pretty skeptical. We've been to a lot of dueling piano bars and really weren't sure that a group could make this work in a reception setting. Afterall this is a wedding, not a piano bar. But they were absolutely outstanding and are a total package! They handled our entire day from DJing our ceremony music and cocktail hour, emceeing the entire reception, playing live dinner music and of course, the actual show when our guests hit the dance floor. It was the best decision we made for an unforgettable reception! We had an absolute blast and so many of our guests said it was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding. Don't be afraid to be a little outside the box by choosing Midwest Dueling Pianos! You will not regret it!
Midwest Dueling Pianos is the best choice we made for our wedding reception! Our guests were all up dancing, singing and having a good time! To this day people are still commenting about how amazing the dueling pianos were! They played all the right songs and knew exactly how to entertain everyone. No one wanted to leave because they were having so much fun! Both performers were very interactive with the audience and even gave us jobs, like playing the tambourine or forming a circle and dancing around us (the bride and groom). If you are looking for something way more fun and more entertaining than a DJ, then Midwest Dueling Pianos is the way to go!
Guests are still talking about our wedding reception a couple months later. Robert and Tod were SO much fun. They dressed appropriately, sang all the right songs that appealed to all ages, kept the guests dancing, and they sounded amazing. Thank you so much, Robert and Tod!
These guys were amazing. They played for our reception at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing and were my favorite part of the day! They we were willing to learn a new song to play for our first dance, they were super interactive with our guests which was so fun, and very professional. Tommy was so great to work with and always emailed me back almost within minutes during the planning process. I can't say enough good things about them. This was one of our splurge items for our wedding and it was the best decision we made. Highly highly recommend!
If I could give them 10 stars I would! Absolutely the best choice we made for our wedding. These guys were such a blast and kept the crowd dancing all night. They continually surprised me with what they could do, and even sang and played guitar for our first dance. Simply amazing, I loved every second with them!
I chose to do dueling pianos because I wanted the non-dancers at my wedding reception to not get bored and leave early while still giving the dancers a great time. Everyone loved it. It was fun and the dance floor was never empty. People loved being able to request songs and then would get up when their song came on. I was impressed with their ability to sing and play such a variety. I don't think I came off that dance floor until it was time to shut the party down. Such a great time!
Alright, this was a big ticket item of my wedding and it was WELL WORTH THE COST. I live in IN and all of the dueling pianos I got quotes from in the area were $4500+. So I saved lots of money with them and my guests really enjoyed the show. Every time I talk to someone they mention how great MWDP was at our reception. Only thing I would have done differently is have my wedding earlier. Wedding was at 4:30pm (which got me to my reception around 6pm)and we had to have everything cleaned up by midnight at my venue so we needed more time for the dueling pianos show!! I wish I would have had wedding at 3:30pm or 4:00pm!!
The whole wedding RAVED about the dueling pianos. The musicians were wonderful. Alicia did a great job MCing, and they kept EVERYONE on the dance floor the entire night. I was so impressed!
We felt like we were taking a chance with having dueling pianos at our wedding but it was awesome. Everyone felt like they were part of the event. Midwest also had some surprises for me and my husband, which were fun and entertaining! Everyone had an amazing time. We have had some many compliments on our wedding and I know that most of it was because of Midwest pianos - they played such a wide variety of music and kept the party going! All requests were fulfilled, especially the brides - if they didn't know a song, they did their best to try to find it or play something similar. Family friendly but knew how to party! We had two piano players and a drummer.
My husband and I decided to hire Midwest Dueling Pianos after we'd seen them at a bridal show. My initial experience with communication (they didn't resound to emails very quickly) wasn't the best and it made me a little nervous about hiring them but it all worked out wonderfully in the end.
About a week before the wedding they asked us to provide a timeline of events and any specific songs we wanted. A couple of days before the wedding one of their employees contacted us to go over it. On the day of the wedding the lead musician, Rusty, quickly went over it with us again before our ceremony started. They provided our ceremony and reception music. The ceremony music was just recorded music played on the DJ equipment but Rusty seemed to time everything perfectly.
After dinner and our first dance the dueling began. It was amazing. Our guests were really excited and provided tons of requests. There was such a wide variety of music. Things I never expected to hear like Miley Cyrus' Party in the U.S.A. and Coolio's Gangsta Paradise (at the request of the groom). Our guests were dancing and singing and having a great time. The dueling piano show is about two hours long, then they transitioned to DJ music. I was a little worried that the party would stop at this point but it just kept on going. The dance floor was packed and everyone seemed to be having a good time.
A huge thanks to Rusty and Jeff! You were the coolest and we very much enjoyed having you as part of our wedding festivities. Now I need to figure out what other event I can plan so I can have more dueling pianos!
The dueling pianos idea was definitely a risk we took for our wedding. We had been to another wedding with dueling piano's and it was a big hit. We decided to go for it and splurge for the entertainment.... which was ultimately a disappointment. I dealt with the owner Brian, for everything before the ceremony, and a few days before our weding, he told me he wasn't going to be able to make it but another piano player, Rusty, would be there instead. Rusty seemed cool at first, when we first met him.... until our entrance song into the Reception Hall was wrong, after he had told us it was no problem. Then Rusty kept telling me how he'll get the place rocking and everyone will be on the dance floor in.... NO ONE was on the dance floor. I finally had to tell them to just play Top 40's off of a list I had provided them... I might as well have plugged in my iPod. My cousin requested a song and Rusty started playing the wrong song, so she asked him for the right one to start playing, and his response was "I am not a DJ"... which was really rude. The entire time the piano players seemed super annoyed and had an attitude because our guests preferred Top 40 over Pianos.
We wanted something a little different than just a standard DJ. OUr guests loved it. They did a great job having fun with the guests. They can also play music on DJ equip if you want. Brian, the owner, did our wedding and he was great! IF you are looking for something different, i recommend highly.
We were told this time and time again! Our dance floor was packed during the entire reception, and all the musician were very interactive and played all of our requests!
We decided to go with dueling pianos for our wedding as we love to see them at bars. We knew this would be a big change for our guests from the traditional dj/band. It was a huge hit! Everyone embraced the idea and the dance floor was packed all night. Best part - you don't need to worry about a playlist. They know how to get the party started and your guests will request from there. And, anything the bride says goes - I got to hear all of my favorites. They did a wonderful job and got everyone excited. Our guests would have partied all night long if we could have let them. I recommend considering dueling pianos as a music option and especially calling Midwest Dueling Pianos. In fact, one of our guests works as a wedding DJ - he loved what we did!
