For a three‑hour event, the photographer delivered 42 photos total. When I asked for a group photo, he took one single shot of ~80 people; no backups, no variations. The photographer was not engaging, didn’t work the room, and half of our guests didn’t even know he was there. My coordinator even set expectations with the photographer at the start of the event, and he still failed to follow through. The photos I did receive were good, and people liked the concept, but the service delivered was nowhere near what was advertised (verbally & on their website).
When I emailed the company to share this feedback, they offered a small refund and didn’t even have the customer service to call me directly to discuss the situation.
Thankfully, the event venue stepped in and made things right, but the photo booth company took minimal ownership for dropping the ball on a major life event I trusted them to capture.
I strongly recommend using caution when booking a roaming photographer. Pay a little more and choose a company with real customer service and a guarantee that you’ll actually receive the photos you’re paying for.
