Mike’s talent really shone through in the final wedding photos. He did an incredible job of capturing the day in a way that felt so natural and authentic. as I hit another booth something told me walking away from Mike was a mistake. So I ran back and snagged the date for my wedding and engagement photos. When we first scheduled our pictures the weather was literally raining on our parade and the photo session was supposed to be outside. dding date (not you lol), I checked with them and the date I had in mind was already booked. Then, after our venue picked our new wedding date, I checked back and they were available! Mike did our engagement photos and wedding photos - both were so amazingly beautiful!! He met with us both prior to our engagement session and wedding session and after for our photo album. He was so kind, helpful, and professional! I asked last minute if we could bring our dogs to our engagement photo shoot, and he worked that in with such ease. It even rained on our wedding day, we had to get married inside a chapel instead of outside as planned, but the photos just turned out great. rst-hand how he handled his wedding shoots and how it turns out. After seeing their shots, there wasn't any reason to look much further.
When I say ninja photographer, what I mean is that this guy (and his assistant!) are everywhere and nowhere! You'd be hard-pressed to find him interrupting or photobombing a shot, and yet you'll be absolutely amazed at some of the pictures that turn up when you get them back. Not just quality - there's ample evidence of skill there on his website and social media. But the moments that you didn't even know happened are suddenly there. Have you ever had one of those moments where you say "this is why I need to have a camera always recording!" Not on this night!
And his capability as a photographer is certainly important, and the main reason that you'll look at his work and consider having him shoot your event. But Mike isn't just your day of photographer. When I walked up to greet him on the morning of, it felt more like I was greeting a friend. He takes the time to get to know you as people, learn about who you are and what you're like. He'll run you around on your engagement shoot and try to feel out your personalities. And on the day, he'll channel all of that into his shots on the day of. There's an art to this work, and Mike and co. truly excelled at it for us. And we're so happy we chose to stick with them for this day.

The pictures for both our engagement photos and wedding photos came 2-3 weeks after the events, which is exactly when he said they would be ready! Our pictures are gorgeous – and I hate taking photos and always lack the self-confidence to take great pictures. Mike just makes it happen! He listens to what style photos you like and gets them - I expressed I really enjoy the more detailed photos (just the shoes, the dress, rings, etc) and we have so many great ones! ggs for the first time at a wedding show, he and I immediately clicked, and I felt he was the person who could fulfill our photography wishes. Although Mike includes the normal posed photos in his wedding collection (which are amazing by the way), he has a unique talent of capturing "moments" in his photographs. In fact, when going over our wedding photos recently (we were just married 5/23), we came across several photos where I suddenly could feel the same emotion I felt on our wedding day, and it was because of the emotion he caught on camera. In addition to his unique talent, Mike also took an unbelievable amount of pictures, and it was obvious that he didn't miss a minute of our wedding. Also, my husband and I were amazed at the variety of photographs in our collection - from portraits to candid shots to stylized photos. Aside from his talent, Mike is also extremely personable and easygoing, and he made my husband and I feel at ease during our photo session. So basically, the only negative thing I can say is that Mike made it very difficult to choose which photos we want hanging in our home. :) I would highly recommend Mike Briggs Photography for anyone's wedding day.

Gave us the rights to our photos so we can print them out. This is very important as many photographers do not do this. He provided a clear deadline on when he would get our photos to us. This is also important to get that into the contract as you don't want to be stuck in limbo waiting for your photos to be developed. And he did give us a CD with the high res JPEG photos in the specified time. He is really good at taking photos that really capture the feeling of the wedding (like me practicing my vows, guests laughing with friends, etc.). These are the kinds of photos you want to be able to look back on in 10-20 years, as opposed to just portraits and poses that don't really tell the whole story of your wedding. He prefers to use natural lighting and minimal use of Photoshop whenever he can. Which really increases the quality of photos that you get. He was also patient, courteous, and really know his stuff. We let Mike completely drive the bridal party and portrait shots of our wedding and I don't regret it. Finally, any questions or communications I had were answered in a timely manner.
