Doug and I can not thank DJ Mike enough for the AMAZING job he did at our wedding on 6/16/18! Our guests seriously did not stop dancing and the night could not have gone more perfect! DJ Mike went above and beyond just providing great entertainment. He constantly was checking in with Doug & I to make sure that he kept us up to date on the songs he was planning to play next & gave us a heads up on what time it was! Honestly, on your wedding day they last thing you know is the time of night, so it was so so so amazing to have Mike check in with us and keep us in the loop regarding his song list! The music at the ceremony could not have sounded better & it was truly amazing listening to the songs we choice come to life as we walked down the aisle. The night was so incredible and it would not have been the same without Mike! Even leading up to our big day, Mike was so helpful with planning out the timeline and our songs. Honestly, not one thing we talked about he didn't execute and we can't thank him enough! He even captured a photo of our first dance! Mike made our day extra special and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ and friend to be apart of our day!

Mike was amazing! From the beginning of my reception to the end went without a flaw! Everyone was on the dance floor all night! He listened to all my suggestions and made great ones to help it go so smoothly! I cannot say enough about this dj! If your looking to have a wonderful time without any worries hire this company!!!

Our wedding was 12/3/16; yes I am a bit late on the review, but better late than never! We met with a few DJs and unfortunately had some odd encounters. After feeling a little frustrated my husband and I reached out to Mike Connolly who freed up his schedule within that week to meet with us. I had asked for his card a few months earlier when he was DJing an Aqua Turf event in Southington. We also were able to experience his style at New Year's Eve! Mike was incredibly accommodating and took the time to get to know us before jumping right into business. We felt comfortable to tell him exactly what we wanted and he would be honest with how that would work or not work at our venue or within our timeline for the night. Communication with him was super easy throughout the entire process and if I needed to ask a question or make a change to a few of our set songs I could easily send him a text and it was all set. Originally, my husband and I were going to try and save money by utilizing a speaker/iPhone during the ceremony but, as we got closer to our big day we didn't feel comfortable putting someone in charge of that responsibility so in a little bit of a panic Mike quickly calmed us down and worked with our budget to have a system setup during the ceremony. I HIGHLY recommend Mike for any of your event needs! He knows what he is doing and didn’t take it to heart when we told him we were looking for someone who didn’t do a lot of talking! We had some high demands and my husband was very picky with what songs he wanted and did not want, which did not steer Mike away. We had a song set for our last song of the night and Mike simply told us it probably wasn’t the best choice. He asked if we trusted him based on our diverse playlist off a high amount of pitbull and queen songs. We said yes and he ended our night with “Don’t Stop the Party- by Pitbull” He got to know us and picked the perfect way to go out with a bang on our wedding night! And if you were wondering, the party did not stop!! To this day our guests still talk about their experience at our wedding and along side of our outstanding food our on point DJ is often complimented!! We cannot say thank you enough for making our day the greatest day of our lives and for having you a part of it!

If you're looking for an easygoing, funny professional DJ who plays amazing music then go with Mike! We had the time of our lives at our wedding and I honestly believe it is because our dance floor was always packed with people and we have Mike to thank for that! We had some major changes in our date and our venue (more than once) in the beginning of our planning and Mike did everything he could to accommodate us and make a smooth transition. When it got closer to the big day he was very knowledgeable about all kinds of music and helped us pick entrance songs and other important songs based on our preferences. He played a large variety of music but still played all the songs we requested as well as our guests! It was such a breeze to work with Mike and he was very affordable for our tight budget. He will always be my recommendation to anyone when they are looking for a DJ!

Mike was the best DJ! He is so organized, has a form online that you can fill out, responded to emails quickly and was available for phone conversations as the day got closer. He did a great job of being the MC and making announcements and keeping everything on track for the reception. We gave him only 10 songs we wanted played during the reception and he played them all and other great hits. Almost all guests were out on the dance floor and loved everything he played. Would highly recommend him to anyone!

If you on the fence about uplighting for your wedding day, trust that it is so worth it and we’re so glad we found Mike! Mike was so easy to work with and his lighting added that magic touch to our wedding. The lighting totally made the atmosphere at the reception that much better and also made all the photos look amazing. Mike was very professional and great at his job, we’d highly recommend him!

Mike made it so easy to trust that he would get our guests on the dance floor and keep them there. And he totally delivered! My husband and I had an absolute blast with his help and so did our family and friends. He was also professional enough to determine that he was feeling under par the day of our wedding. He brought another MC to speak for him while he played the music. And it worked out perfectly. Would totally recommend him for your next event!

We would first say that we decided on Mike Connolly before we even got engaged! Having a relative that’s worked with him at countless weddings we didn’t even choose to look at anyone else. Mike is fantastic – from our initial meeting to the day of our wedding Mike always made himself available for questions and concerns and responded quickly. Since he was well known to our venue and other vendors everything on our wedding day went super smooth. While all our requests were played, he also chose songs that fit the day well! What we appreciated most about Mike was his calm demeanor. We were incredibly pleased with his professionalism and also appreciated the big hugs when we arrived to our venue from the church and were able to do a quick run through of our big introductions. You know you have a good DJ when the bride’s bustle busted a few times from dancing! We would highly recommend Mike Connolly for any event – he’s the best!

Mike is very easy to work with and was able to give us the perfect wedding day. Everything went off without a hitch, including the music for the ceremony. The dance floor was packed during the majority of the reception! Mike was very professional and responsive to our needs. I would highly recommend him!

Our wedding would not have been a hit without Mike. During the planning process, Mike made us feel as though we were the only couple that mattered and provided expert advice when choosing music for our reception. We had so many last minute changes and some confusion in the days leading up to the wedding and Mike was fantastic with not only fielding multiple calls and emails but calming anxieties. We have received so many compliments on our reception since our wedding two weeks ago, many centering on how much fun people had and how great the music was - both which can be 100 percent attributed to Mike.

Mike Connolly is an amazing DJ! From the initial meeting with him where he gave us a CD with music ideas, to the paperwork for songs we'd need to think about/decide on, all the way to the end of the reception, he was tremendous! Mike is a true professional. He clearly takes pride in his work and his reputation. He was well organized, kind, and flexible with any last minute song or reception requests. He helped out with seating ideas for group pictures at the reception. He also continuously checked in with me and my husband during the reception to see if there was anything he could do for us. All my guests kept gushing about what a great DJ he was! He played a great variety of songs that kept the energy up during the reception. He ensured he knew the pronunciation of the people he'd be introducing. He also gave a heads up to me and my husband when it was the last 15 minutes of the reception so we could take care of any last minute 'hellos' etc. Mike is the kind of person you dream about finding for a wedding. He did everything right and made sure the night was all about the bride and groom. If you're looking for a true professional who will help you achieve the perfect event, hire him!

Dave was absolutely phenomenal!! All of our guests commented on how great he was at making our wedding a blast. The dance floor was always full as our guests did not stop dancing! He made our day very special by helping us coordinate the timing of our dance. Dave listens to exactly what you are looking for on your wedding day. He was full of energy and a pleasure to have as our master of ceremonies. Thank you Dave for giving us a perfect day that we will always remember!

Mike was very helpful during the planning process. He worked with my venue, The Riverhouse, many times so he helped me tremendously with the timeline of my reception. He was very professional and polite with my husband and me, but also with my guests. He was flexible during the reception and accepted special requests from family members, which was much appreciated. Mike also provided beautiful up lighting! I would recommend Mike to anyone.

Dave of Mike Connolly was our DJ for our wedding last weekend. He did a great job with our ceremony and reception music. When we first met with Dave, he seemed experienced and professional. Another big reason that we chose to go with him is that he didn't try to use high pressure sales tactics like some other places. After our first chat with him, he left it up to us to call him to book him as our DJ. Definitely a much more pleasant experience. We didn't want to make too many decisions or be too prescriptive, so it was great to know that we could trust Dave to make our wedding day great. Everything turned out wonderfully on the day of our wedding. Another thing that was really helpful is that they provided a CD with different song suggestions for the cake cutting, bridal party intros, first dance, etc. That really helped us to find the songs for each moment.

Mike did a fantastic job reading a diverse crowd to keep the best possible atmosphere throughout the night. He accommodated all of our requests and truly made the night stress free and memorable.

Mike is AWESOME! He made our event so much fun and memorable for all of our guests. I knew from our very first meeting that I did not need to look any further for a DJ. Mike is professional, funny and made us feel like our wedding was important to him and not just a job. He offered great suggestions and advice for not only music but other aspects of our day to ensure a perfect event. At the start of the reception, he did a great job getting the bridal party lined up and excited for introductions. I cannot describe how amazing he was at keeping the night flowing smoothly. He kept my husband and I in the loop the entire time with what was to happen. Our dance floor was PACKED the entire night. Nearly 3 full hours of non stop dancing. Our guests had an absolute blast - old and young. We have heard so many times that our wedding was one of the best they have ever been to and that Mike was the best DJ they had ever experienced. We could not agree more! He is truly an expert at his craft. One moment that really stood out for me was when my bustle ripped and my maid of honor was trying to help me fix it. Mike saw this and showed up with a flashlight and safety pins to help her out. Awesome! Just one example of how he went above and beyond in making sure our wedding flowed perfectly. I cannot recommend Mike highly enough. He is the best in the business!

Mike is awesome. Absolutely awesome. He keeps everyone dancing all night, and makes sure to play what you want to hear! He is an extremely classy and professional guy plus meeting with him always put me at ease - he is relaxed and confident because he knows what he is doing. He also provided the uplighting for our venue, which is definitely worth it it warmed up the room and turns out gorgeous in pictures. Plus he provided the music and mics for the ceremony. Dave was our DJ from Mike Connolly Productions. He was a fun asset to our special day. Not only did we chat prior to the wedding date to discuss my wants and needs, the company also has a web based program to capture your preferences. I did not choose to use it and the music was just what I had wanted. Dave created a vibe that got everyone on the dance floor all night long.

We hired Mike Connolly Sound Productions for our wedding night December 6, 2014 at the River House at Goodspeed Station in Haddam Connecticut. Mike was so polite, accommodating, professional, and fulfilled our every need, plus some. His sound was perfect, his up lighting made our Christmas Wedding even more spectacular. Because of him our Wedding was successful and the dance floor was full till the end of the night. People laughed, people cried, and more importantly people danced the night away.

Mike was a great DJ, and my guests had a great time! The dance floor was packed the entire night. Mike was a blast to work with, he was fun and accomodating, helpful, and responsive. We also feel like we got a lot for our money, including uplighting, and ceremony music.

Mike was amazing to work for, he was the perfect combination of professional and accomodating. He gave great advice as to how to set up the different parts of our wedding reception like how we should walk in, first dance, parent dances, etc. Mike played a great selection of songs including appropriate dinner music and fun music to dance to later in the evening. Everyone danced all night at my wedding and people kept telling me how much fun they had for weeks afterword.

Mike was such an amazing DJ and so easy to work with. We knew he was the right choice the first time we spoke with him. He kept us on the dance floor! So many of our guests, young and old, have commented on how great our DJ was at steering the party and picking the right music to play. We had a blast celebrating and didn't have to worry about a thing. He made it so easy to communicate to him what type of music we wanted, and didn't want - right down to the song. You will not regret having Mike DJ for you!

Mike is extremely easy to work with, keeps the dance floor packed, and you won't think twice about hiring him, PROMISE! And he will go with the flow (even when the bride wants to be thrown by the groomsmen during her reception introduction). Thanks Mike!

When searching for a DJ, my husband and I were turned off by DJs who promised to turn our wedding reception into a club scene. We were actually looking for a professional, experienced and eloquent DJ that offered us an elegant performance. When we bumped into Mike at a bridal show, we loved him! He wasn't forceful or abrasive, but soft spoken, kind and funny. As it turned out, Mike had previously worked at our venue and knew how and where his equipment worked best. We felt very comfortable with his confidence in providing the right entertainment for our guests. Mike always answered our calls/emails and had made the right suggestions to personalize our wedding. Mike's package also offered lightening and he did a phenomenal job, not too much--just enough lighting for our venue. We were very happy!

Mike is the best! We knew as soon as we met him that he would be excellent and he was. Our guests are still raving over him!

Our wedding was a total blast thanks a lot to Dave. The personalized music for us and kept the dance floor packed the whole time.

We had Jeff and Bill and they were AMAZING. We couldnt have asked for better. they were friendly, funny, and got the crowd dancing. dance floor was packed the whole wedding and everyone had smiles on their face. we also did the acoustic cocktail hour and it was a huge hit!

Mike was awesome! My guests raved about him and how whenever they wanted to go and rest they couldn't because Mike would just play another amazing song! He mixed it up to appeal to our younger friends and older family members and kept the dance floor busy all night long!

Mike was the DJ for my recent wedding and he was amazing! Not only was he amazing the day of the wedding he was very approachable through the planning process and was able to do whatever we needed. A DJ can make or break a wedding reception...Mike did a great job! He played music that had guests of all ages on the dance floor! He also helped keep the pace of the night on track and really let my husband and I know what was coming up. The day is very overwhelming and I felt comfortable that he was in control! We also had him do architectural lighting and the venue looked amazing!

Amazing. He just let the music do all the talking and all the guests were up and dancing. He just knew what music to play when. He was fun, professional and easy to work with!

Our DJ was Dave Murphy. He was such a kind and energetic guy. Incredibly professional, he worked well under pressure when we had to scrap the bouquet and garter toss because we were running behind. Everyone loved his choice of music, he knew what to play to keep everyone on the dance floor.
