Mike Davis Trio

The Mike Davis Trio are excellent to work with and are so talented! The Mike Davis Trio played music during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and it was beautiful. They have a great song selection and I highly recommend working with the Mike Davis Trio!

Mike Davis Trio does a wonderful job for how in demand they are. Mike Davis was not actually present at my event but he handled all the communication. In the future I think it would have gone a bit more smoothly if it had been handed off sooner :) the music was wonderful and suited every step from ceremony to reception. They kindly worked with me on so many changes and additions. They accidentally botched the first dance song I had requested but it turned out more beautiful than what I chose - a happy accident! Loved their work 🥂

It was great working with Mike and his crew. He willing took our ideas and went with the flow of what we decided, but also offered advice from his experiences to help us plan the evening. The trio provided a great atmoshphere and were very professional.

What a great way to set the mood for a fantastic wedding! The live music add such a touch of elegance to the ceremony and cocktail hour. Mike and the band did such a great job based on our input and requests. They setup quickly and were 100% professional. A stand out group and they really made the ambiance special at our wedding!

Mike and his fellow musicians were the perfect accompaniment to our ceremony. They learned all the custom songs we asked, and many guests commented on how beautiful the music was. Although it was 53 degrees and windy, they played beautifully and professionally. I could not have asked for better music on my wedding day.

Mike Davis did a fantastic job with playing our ceremony music and cocktail hour music. Mike was very easy to work with and very responsive and well organized. He made the entire process so easy to work with. Ceremony music sounded amazing and they were willing to learn a new song for us to walk down the aisle to. Total we paid $750 for them to play both events, learn one new song, and use their PA system for the officiate. Everyone loved the jazz music during cocktail hour which made the event that much better. They did a fantastic job and I would recommend them to any bride!

Mike and the rest of the trio were wonderful! They have a wide variety of songs to choose from, and they even learned and perfected a song that I wanted played at the end of the ceremony. It was nice having the trio play romantic songs during the ceremony, then for the cocktail hour, the flute player switched to the saxophone and they played jazz songs. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a great group to play music at your wedding.

We hired Mike Davis Trio for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner at our intimate wedding of 20 people. The music was fabulous! Mike was very helpful and attentive throughout the entire process.

The Mike Davis Trio was great to work with and provided absolutely beautiful music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They created the perfect atmosphere for our wooded outdoor ceremony. We were married on Mackinac Island and they are pros at getting to locations all around the island with their instruments. We could not have made a better choice in musicians for our wedding day!

We hired two musicians, harp and flute, to play during our ceremony and they were great. They were on time and professional and sounded great for our outdoor wedding.

We hired the trio for both our wedding ceremony and reception (including cocktail hour). They showed up on time, were professional, and did an amazing job. We really cannot thank them enough. They provided the right atmosphere for each setting, and were so flexible (we had them set up in 3 different areas over the course of the evening). Our guests really enjoyed just sitting back after dinner and listening to the music, soaking up the atmosphere. It was lovely! I recommend them very highly! Furthermore, they were less expensive than hiring a DJ just for the reception. How can you beat that?

They were wonderful, I had minimal communication with them and I didn't hear them until I was walking down the isle and watching our wedding video weeks later. They did a great job! Great Value! They played at the Ceremony and Cocktail hour Jazz!

Mike Davis met with us to discuss our ceremony music selections. He provided us with ideas and also said we could use whatever music we wanted as long as we purchased it for him. His group was very professional and added to the ceremony without being the center of attention.

Mike and his Mike Davis Trio was honestly one of the best parts of our wedding. I wanted the classical side for our wedding and cocktail hour but also the fun dance music. As any bride planning a wedding in Northern Michigan will find out, the choices are limited. Although music was important to me, I wasn't willing to pay thousands of dollars for a 10-piece brass band or multiple musicians for the different parts of my day. From the first moment I talked to Mike, however, I knew I wouldn't have to worry! He assured me the best part about his trio is that although they are small they sound much larger. He worked with me and brought in other musicians who could play multiple instruments making the sound larger. He was over the top willing to accommodate whatever I wanted - from my request for the classics to my then fiance's desire for Journey. The best part is we changed the venue on him twice and he was not only willing to continue working with us, but flexible. In the end they ended up playing at our Catholic church ceremony (30 minutes away from our reception), then travel to the reception, set up a mic and sound system at The Homestead's Top of the Mountain for my Dad to do his toast, play our cocktail hour outside, move inside, play during dinner, set up a system so we could patch our Michael Buble wedding song again into their speakers, then played our reception including a spur-of-the-moment song when my Aunt decided to make her musical debut. And all this for an amazingly reasonable amount. I really can't say enough about the high-quality of their music and the amazingly wonderful personality of Mike and his trio members. Mike handled all of my over-the-top-A-type bride planning, patiently answered my 20-bullet emails of questions and as I said in the end was happy to go where we wanted and do what we hoped and dreamed for. Everyone at my event from our strict Catholic priest to my dance-loving crowd loved Mike Davis Trio and we feel we could not have made a better choice. I only wish my wedding wasn't a once-in-a-lifetime event so I could hear them play the whole thing again!

The music that the Trio played before the wedding was beautiful and classy. But my favorite part of the wedding was when the Trio played a piece of music that I had requested. I had no idea how it was going to sound, but I was so happy and so impressed with the way they played it. Mike was a pleasure to work with, and he made sure that my little request was perfect. They added the little touch of elegance to my wedding.
