Mike Sidney is very professional from start to finish. I chose him from the pictures on line they captivated me and I could not wait to be one of these pictures. Every person that views my pictures say to me"they don't look real, they should be in magazines. " Mike is very patient and kept things rolling. Due do circumstance not in our control, we were running behind. Mike under a time crunch and pressure still pulled off amazing ceremony, beach, and sunset pictures.I would hiring him again NO question. You wont be disappointed, I promise.

Mike is an AMAZING photographer! Our pictures turned out great, he really captured our day wonderfully. You can be sure that Mike will produce the best images of your special day regardless of the circumstances. My only regret is not purchasing an extra hour of photography. My husband and I chose Mike Sydney because he was very affordable. I'm glad we chose him, Mike was so nice from the moment we met him. He was very patient and took LOTS of pictures. We did not chose the edited pictures due to our budget but our pictures turned out so great it looks like we would not need them. We recommend Mike Sidney to anyone.

In choosing our wedding vendors, I was especially picky about a photographer. I'm an amateur photographer and have filmed many weddings, so I had an especially high bar for photography. Mike exceeded all of our expectations and then some. He has a great eye for a photo, takes many creative approaches, is awesome at catching candid moments and was incredible in dealing with our very large wedding party. I've worked with many photographers who just seem pushy, but Mike is gifted at making sure everyone is in the right place and looking in the right direction by applying a calm disposition with a good sense of humor. Many of our guests and members of our wedding party commented on how great he was to work with on our wedding day. The deliverables also lived up to expectation. Mike does a very tasteful job at editing and was able to provide us with pictures we will treasure for a lifetime. Also note that Mike "gets it" for the younger generation. He'll provide you with a link to all of the pictures on his website, a flash drive that contains all of your edited images, a photo montage set to music, and a release form that allows you to use and print the pictures in whatever way you see fit; you're in no way obligated to go through him for printing, photo books, etc. We highly recommend Mike for your Hawaiian wedding!

The photographer was the most important aspect of our wedding, so we did a lot of research before choosing Mike Sidney. We were in Maui and had the opportunity to meet with Mike about a year in advance of our wedding. He absolutely blew us away and we knew right away he was the one. We already knew his images were stunning from his blog, but after speaking with him it was clear why. He has the ability to connect with people to discover who they are, what their personal style it, and how to engage them and draw them out of their shell. A year later, when he showed up at our hotel to take getting-ready photos with the girls, he remembered those details and we clicked immediately. Mike is a complete professional and knows how to take charge and make the most of your time. We had a fairly large group for Maui and lets face it, our guests were highly distracted by the lure of the bar. He was able to gather everyone without wasting precious time, direct them, and take some breathtaking shots that were organized without looking stiff or posed. When our wedding timeline went slightly astray, he jumped to action and made suggestions to help us get back on track. He took control expertly, but at the same time, he wasn't imposing in the slightest. During my walk down the aisle, I nearly forgot he was there. I had given Mike an entire Pinterest board full of "must-have shots", which definitely would have been overbearing to most...then on top of that, I threw in the wrench that I wanted him to be as creative as possible and try new things! How impossible! I just received our images a few nights ago (less than 3 weeks after the wedding...I've heard many brides have to wait months!) I cried probably 7 times and I am NOT an emotional person. My husband and I were amazed. Our images were stunning. The ones that Mike re-created from Pinterest were even better, and there were others that were so creative and different to any we had ever seen before...everything very true to his "Mike Sidney" style. Probably the part that impressed us most, however, was his photojournalistic ability. He captures those split second moments that are so important. My mom gets this fleeting look in her eye right before she is about to cry...Mike got the shot. It's amazing. I would also like to mention Nicole, Mike's office manager. She is the woman behind the scenes who organizes all the details and she was a dream to work with. Wedding photos last a lifetime - the day itself goes by far too fast - but my husband and I now have these incredible images to preserve our memories of such an incredible experience! Couldn't have been happier going with Mike Sidney!

All the signs were good - we'd found positive reviews online, responses to our initial inquiries were good, and on the day Mike managed the whole thing very swiftly and paid lots of attention to detail in the photos. Unfortunately some of the techniques used in taking the photographs left lots of shadows, dark photos... We were handed off to production never to hear from Mike or Nicole again. We worked with production who tried their best to lighten photos etc to remove the harsh flash reflections on our faces, but unfortunately some of the photos were then lightened to the extent that all facial features were quite lost and we had a wedding party that did not resemble themselves and colors in clothing that morphed into something different... Some of the effects used did work out, however production really was limited in what they could do - the damage had been done when the photos were taken with poorly positioned flash. We also found that lots of photos were overexposed, not things we'd expect from a professional photographer. I'm disappointed that this did not work out better. We were offered the option of buying - for an additional $115 I might add... - the unedited images. From the customer service perspective, this was a smack in the face and not very satisfactory at all. However, what I will say is that we found many more good images than what we were presented with in the selection chosen by them for us when initially presented. Some of this is obviously subjective, but some of it was down to poor quality. When you position yourself in the price range you have positioned yourself in Mike Sidney Photography, you create an expectation of quality of product and service. Sad to say this was lacking somewhat. Giving 3 stars because the value for us was actually in the raw images - which we paid the extra for, it salvaged a much worse review..... Maybe something to consider when considering what package to buy.

I can't say enough good things about Mike Sidney Photography. I received my beautiful photos quickly and professionally. I would re-marry my sweet David every day if I could. I would use Mike Sidney Photography to capture every moment of it!

For brides our wedding day in most cases is a day we walk around in auto pilot through a maze of nerves, sea of butterflies and endless worry that we both get through "I do" with no mishaps and hope that our lipstick, after the kiss is still attached to our lips and not smeared down our chin. So that is why we get pictures taken or we might not ever realize how truly amazing our day really was. Wedding pictures allow us to see that beautiful day through the eyes of a bystander, family member, friend our yes even our lover. They become our most treasured tokens of that special day because after its all said and done, the top tier of our cake gets eaten or tossed out, the flowers wilt and fade away, the dress turns yellow and after awhile he might not event fit in that tux anymore yet what will never fade or be tossed out are those treasured photos that we will look at over and over, share with our children, friends, family and generations to come. So if I had it to do all over again I wouldn't change a thing, except maybe relax a little more.... Mike and his staff were professionals from start to finish. His assistant Nicole was the bomb and treated me like family and not just another number. They were attentive to detail and wanted to please us and therefore respected how we wanted to spend our time and money. They had many ideas and let us share our ideas with them. In the end when I ran that photo CD and saw how beautiful our photos had turned out I had to take a deep breath wonder if some of those pictures were really me, not because they were photo-shopped to death, but because the eyes that captured those images saw my heart and that of my husband, what memories. You will not be disappointed if you choose Mike Sidney and his team. What you will have is beautiful photo's from your most special day that be admired for generations to come. Mike's pictures were good as he's obviously very experienced in taking wedding photos in various locations in Hawaii. However, we were not impressed with the photo editing afterwards as they were sloppy and not attention to details at all. We expected picture perfect images and no less than the quality demonstrated on his website. Luckily he was able to work with us to better enhance our photos after we made a compliant. Overall Mike takes good photos but don't expect his production team would do an amazing job on the retouching and enhancements.

We hired Mike on the recommendation of a partner from my law firm, who also hired him for his wedding a few years ago. We are so happy that we did. Mike has an excellent demeanor, and was extremely efficient. We haven't seen most of the final photos just yet, but those that he sent us as a preview (in time to use them on holiday cards) are flawless. Also, his assistant is very accessible and professional as well. His services might be a little more on the expensive side, but I think you get a lot of bang for your buck with his package deals.

Mike is Great and Nicole the office manager is so nice. DONT use anyone but Mike or you will sadly be disappointed. We thought we would get the same kind of quality, but far from it!

I honestly can't say enough good things about Mike and his crew. From the moment we originally contacted them to the finished product, they were absolutely fabulous and SO easy to work with. Mike was super efficient and professional in taking the photos and the finished photos are all complete works of art! He's very well priced for what you get and you wouldn't be disappointed if you hired him!!

I'm so thankful we had MIke Sidney there on our wedding day. Our pictures our ones that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. We were blown away by our wedding pictures when we got them - very talented photographer! I don't think I have the words to say how happy we are that we ended up choosing Mike to be our photographer. He gave great direction, handled both of my parents very well, and took amazing photos. His office manager Nicole is also amazing. She was prompt, efficient, and extremely friendly.

We loved this photographer and his team. Nicole who manages his office is unbelievably helpful. She really helped plan our wedding timeline to make the best use of our time with Mike. On our wedding day, Mike and his photographer's assistant were absolutely wonderful - including very tactfully corralling in-laws! The photos are incredibly beautiful. We were blown away by his work. I'm sure we'll be looking at the pictures years from now and still marvel at how perfectly he captured our day. We had a bunch of really excellent vendors and Mike stands out as one of the best. I recommend him without any reservations - a wonderful photographer and a wonderful, professional operation from start to finish.

Not that I have had my wedding photos taken before but I have to say that Mike and his assistant were wonderful. He really made me and my guest/family/bridesmaids comfortable and took charge. Our photos are AMAZING and everyone can't stop talking about them. Thanks to Mike I have ever lasting photos that I will cherish.
