Mike DJ’d our wedding at Stonehurst Manor in September and so many people told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to and a lot of that has to do with the atmosphere Mike created! We didn’t give him too much direction and told him to feel the crowd and he crushed it!!! The dance floor had people on it for the entire time and he played music that catered to every generation in attendance without much guidance before hand. He even had the bartenders dancing while making drinks! He took our wedding up a notch and it was worth every penny! He is prompt, professional, and knows how to have a good time! Mike guided us through preparing for the wedding and made us feel so comfortable while planning a big party! I would hands down recommend Mike to anyone looking for a DJ who is sure to make it a memorable wedding!

Mike was recommended to us by our photographer, and I am so grateful she said something! My husband and I both have very strong taste in music and put a lot of importance on creating the perfect feeling for our wedding with our music choices. But since we were planning from afar we had no frame of reference for local DJs. We took a (well-researched and well-supported) chance on Mike and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made! We were on the same page from our first conversation when we all agreed that wedding receptions are too short to play old, cliche tunes. This was reinforced with our incredibly helpful pre-wedding conversation where we laid out the entire evening set to music. He got excited about the songs we had planned, offered up solutions to our questions and conundrums, and incorporated unique requests and other tasks with ease. It was such a relief to know I could enjoy the entire evening with Mike at the helm. He knew exactly what to play and when to keep people excited and dancing. I have received countless compliments from friends and relatives, some of whom never get on the dance floor--except for at my wedding. Besides music, Mike also has a great grasp on the big picture of the night and was totally prepared to coordinate and orchestrate reception events. If our reception vendor wasn't already completely on top of it, Mike would absolutely have picked up the slack. But he was happy to step back and focus on the music, I'm sure along with plenty of tiny actions to keep things running smoothly while we got to focus on each other. If you're willing to give up creative control to someone who knows what he's doing, and if you're ready to be completely immersed in the joy and excitement of your wedding, Mike is absolutely your guy.

We are so happy that we found Mike! He was amazing, from the planning stage all the way through the end of the wedding. Honestly, I (the bride) am awful at planning, and really appreciated his help in coordinating the Agenda for the day and then him having us stick to it. It made the whole day a lot less stressful. For the music, we had so much fun! Mike took suggestions from us on what songs we would like to hear and then built our night off of it. All of our friends and a lot of our family killed it on the dance floor. He also rolls with the punches. I remember looking up in the middle of dancing and saw my niece (the flower girl) up at the DJ station "helping him out". Too cute and a good sport. I even have received compliments from guests on how great he was. I would (and will) 100% recommend him to anyone who asks.

Mike literally made my wedding. We had planned our wedding in a month and literally had no idea what we were doing until we talked to Mike. WE LOVE LOVE LOVE DJ Mike Bacon!!! We had a summer camp wedding in Maine and I credit so much of its success to this man. He was our DJ and day of coordinator. From the weeks leading up to the event, to the day of, he wanted to make sure my vision and all the planning I did came to life as smoothly as possible! We’ve never done the whole wedding thing before and he gave us advise and structure to build off of. He helped make our first dance song beautifully perfect and he hyped up all the people involved in the wedding including parents and bridal party! We knew even before the wedding that we had made the right decision booking Mike (although it was truly fate) but we were blown away by how he helped bring the party to life and kept the people on the dance floor!! Mike was amazing! From the very start, we knew we were lucky to find him. Mike was personable, friendly, so interesting (ask him about his geese!), and super fun. He spoke with us on the phone multiple times to truly understand the vibe that we were going for, and to make sure that we were on the same page, and he responded to all our emails super quickly. Based on our processional music, Mike put together guest-sitting-music that multiple people went out of their way to tell us they loved, and he kept the dance floor moving all night while doing a great job reading the crowd. I've had so many people come up to me to tell how awesome Mike was. The best part of all was just how kind Mike was. He checked in with both of us throughout the night to make sure we were getting what we needed and knew what was about to happen. He was also fabulous at communicating with all of our other vendors to ensure that everyone worked as a team.

Mike was phenomenal. He was more than a DJ to us. He acted not only as a MC and DJ for all the music from ceremony to the dance floor, but also a day-of coordinator who checked in with us frequently to make sure our wedding day could go as smoothly as possible. He was very patient in going over all the relevant details before our wedding day. He's good at what he does kept our guests on the dance floor and was fun and engaging. We can honestly say that our day would not have been the same without Mike! He did an exceptional job not only with the reception music but also the ceremony and helping to coordinate the day. Mike was amazing! He went above and beyond any DJ! He went as far as helping me plan out and coordinate my entire wedding day schedule. He helped with with everything from ceremony entrances, wedding party intros, speeches, all the way to wrapping up the night with a bang! Oh boy, where do I start. There’s not enough words to explain how helpful, affordable, and amazing Mike Bacon is. My husband and I got married at a summer camp for kids and we were having our reception, cocktail hour, introductions, dinner, and dancing all in different spaces. We had 230 people and Mike had all of the necessary equipment to make the day runs smoothly, with no glitches at all and he never once skipped a beat. On top of being technically advanced and bringing the highest level of performance equipment, Mike bacon does an amazing job at keeping the day running according to schedule, without stress or anxiety put on to the bride and groom. Mike made game day suggestions as to how we could do things in a more organized way and worked with us as a team. Make Bacon does not make any part of your wedding day about him, his agenda, or his music preferences. He tailored our wedding to us and played all of the endless music suggestions we had made. For those of you brides and grooms who are looking for a DJ to play music and to help the day runs smoothly, I strongly suggest you reach out to Mike bacon. DJ Mike was amazing for our outdoor July wedding! He is professional, positive, calm, knowledgeable, supportive, and has great taste in music and knows how to get the dance floor moving! The things that stand out for me that others should consider: 1) Mike had a great set up: high-quality speakers and lapel mics that picked up officiant and our voices during ceremony. Mike perfectly hid the lapel mic on my husband's suit jacket so it didn't appear in photos--no unsightly boom stand in the way. 2) He checks in with you on how things are going. And he is always positive. 3) He makes it work. We had additionally ceremony music that had a different audio set up, and he came early to ensure they could coordinate and practice the hand offs. Oh, and when we asked if he could speed our first dance song up by 5%--no problem. 4) He spent 90 minutes chatting with me and my then fiance on the music for the wedding--he gave great advice, lessons learned from prior weddings, and options for us to consider. He is an expert, and has great music taste too! I actually met DJ Mike when he was the DJ for my best friend's wedding two years earlier, in which I was the maid of honor. At that time, he gave me great advice on how to give a good speech, and he gave both me and the best man a pep talk right before the moment. He simply goes above and beyond to help the night go very well. So as both the bride and a member of a bridal party, DJ Mike was great!

Mike Bacon is one of the best in the business. Do NOT hesitate even inquiring on him because his price quota is very reasonable. In addition to his DJ skills, youre also getting a day of wedding planner - he makes sure things go according to plan the day of your wedding. He will keep things going on time and, most importantly, bring your dreams to reality. In our wedding, we had a vivid entrance plan. Mike worked with us in terms of coming up with the perfect entrance and making these "dreams" become reality. What we wanted, a lively dance floor and from the beginning entrance and he provided it all. Think about, what will people remember - The venue, the food and the music/people. Mike takes time to listen to you in his three consultations and is always there for you from the moment you hire him to the final song of your wedding. He also provides uplighting and uses state of the art Bose speakers (wireless/wired) as well.

Our wedding day truly would not have been as wonderful as it was without Mike. He was incredibly helpful, organized, professional and made it such a fun time for all. We got so many compliments from our guest about how nice he was and approachable. I would highly recommend him for any style wedding!

Mike DJed our wedding in August of 2017. We chose him after seeing what a fantastic job he did at my sister's wedding. We also had him do the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour (as well as the reception, of course). He was great at helping us put chose unique music for our ceremony and helped put together a great playlist for the cocktail hour and reception. He is a great "day off" coordinator and kept us moving smoothly from one part of the day to the next. He is also very good at reading the dance floor and improvising the next song based on the mood (such as encouraging an impromptu hula hoop contest amongst the groomsmen to "The Curly Shuffle" - it was a hit!). We can't recommend him highly enough!

Mike was exceptional! We hired him to DJ our wedding based on reviews we found on The Knot. We had a destination wedding in Gloucester, Massachusetts so we didnt have the chance to meet him. We spoke on the phone a couple of times and Skype'd leading up to our event to walk through the details from beginning to end. Mike's services were very reasonable in my opinion and worked perfectly in our budget. As someone who has planned events professionally, I really appreciate and was surprised by Mike's event management strengths. He did more than play music for our ceremony and reception, which he did perfectly by the way. Mike worked with us to craft the perfect music for the ceremony from the seating of the parents to the recessional. Mike helped us to craft our full itinerary from pre-ceremony photos to the end of the evening. Most noteworthy to me is how Mike kept us on time. He was always discreetly keeping my wife and I aware of timelines and what was to happen next. I believe Mike genuinely wanted us to have the best day of our lives. He grabbed drinks for our wedding party at one point. He saw a great photo opportunity with the clouds outside and advised us to get a shot with the photographer. He was fun and funny and kept our wedding party tied together. I would absolutely recommend hiring Mike to DJ your wedding or event. You will not be unhappy. He did more for us then I have ever seen a DJ do for a client in any scenario.

Mike went way beyond the duties of a DJ!! I was on the verge of tears and he was the only one who could figure out how to bustle my dress for the rehearsal dinner. He even asked if he could get us seconds for dinner. Mike has a big heart and really makes the day all about you!

Mike Bacon was incredible at our wedding this past weekend. He really took the time ahead of time to understand every detail of the ceremony and reception to make sure it flowed perfectly. We had two skype calls that each lasted over two hours. He's much more than just a DJ. He also helped manage the timeline of events and details, down to where everyone was standing and who needed to be where/when. I felt so relaxed knowing he was helping to run the show. His playlists were great and the wedding ended with an awesome dance party. Great choice of wedding DJ. Mike was very prepared and professional. I was appreciative of his help in setting up the sound system for the wedding party, singers and instrumentalists before the ceremony. Then during the ceremony I could tell that he was very attentive to making adjustments to create the most seamless presentation possible. The same attention to detail was provided during all the speeches at the reception dinner. The dance party was a blast and Mike was able to accommodate many song requests while keeping a great flow and energy to the set. With a musician Groom we gave Mike a run for his money with outlandish requests and strong preferences on everything. Mike nailed it! Cocktail hour music was perfect (vocal jazz), dinner had the right tone (instrumental jazz) and the dance floor was packed from the moment it opened (started off classic and then went right for old school 2000's). If you get a chance to work with Mike, take it! He is not only an awesome DJ, but had experience planning weddings and will provide invaluable insights.

We could not have asked for a better DJ. Mike was more than a DJ. He helped coordinate the wedding day, and on his own initiative contacted our day-of wedding planner, also the owner of the venue, and discussed the details of the event with her. We got a call from the owner with her expressed excitement to be working with such a professional. We met with Mike on Skype (we live in NC, wedding was in Maine), for about 2 hours approximately 3 weeks before the wedding. He asked us questions we hadn’t even thought of, and provided feedback and gentle advice that turned out to be pure gold. We, nor any of our guests, had ever seen a dance floor erupt so quickly. There was no awkward, “alright…time to dance!...” moment. He crafted the event flow so that when the music started, it was as if the floodgates had opened. It was simply incredible. He was a master at reading the crowd. He incorporated important personal requests we had set up ahead of time, while maintaining general audience interest. For the month since our wedding, we have heard unending positive feedback from our friends about how awesome the DJ was. From the beginning of our interactions with him, Mike went above and beyond. To fielding our frantic last minute questions, to keeping us cool when a key member was missing for a few minutes too long before introductions, to personally setting aside and bringing us 2 lobsters each after we had been taking pictures at sunset during the beginning of dinner. We highly recommend Mike to every soon-to-be-wed couple. We feel so lucky that we found him for our special day.

One thing my wife and I know for sure is that our wedding day would never have gone as smooth as it did without Mike. We were lucky enough that we came across him in our Internet search. And boy, were all of the reviews true! He made everything very straightforward and simple. We had one sit-down with him via Skype and went over all of our typical wedding details - the music and things special to our day that he wanted to make happen for us. He not only organized all of this, but he also gave us helpful feedback and brought up things we hadn't even thought to ask! We also had the added challenge of mixing two different cultures for our wedding. We wanted to find a way to mix Turkish music and traditions with American ones. And to do so in a way that didn't seem forced and kept the liveliness and fun going throughout the night. He handled the transitions between both cultures that night seamlessly. He even found a way to play some metal music for me because I'd mentioned to him that I'm a big fan. On the actual day, he did more coordinating than our wedding coordinator! He ran around putting out small fires and calming everybody down and making them smile. Our matron of honor and best man both commented how unbelievably nervous they were to give their toasts. He talked them both through the timing and the way it should be done, and let them be just focused on the fun part of it. Many of our guests from both sides came up and commented on how amazing he was. We had a slightly longer wedding than most and didn't expect everybody to stay until the very end. But he made our wedding so much fun that many people stayed up until the very last minute dancing! And as for us, the bride and groom, he helped the caterer give us some time to sit and eat. He also grabbed us after the ceremony, brought us to a separate room, and let us have some private time together. That was one of our favorite parts of the wedding and we will always be thankful for that. Thank you, Mike!

July 9th 2016 was a very wet day....it was also our wedding day. Things were crazy, there were thunderstorms, annnnd it was a backyard wedding in a tent....With that said it was still the most AMAZING day of my life, almost all of our guest have told us it was the best wedding they have ever gone to, I danced in the rain in my dress, and I definitely owe MOST of that (have to give the groom and guests a little credit ;) ) to Mike. Holy cow was he amazing. From the start of our relationship with him as our DJ he created a zero stress environment which, I'm sure as all of your reading this are realizing as you plan, just isn't normally a thing while planning a wedding. He made sure we were getting everything we wanted in all aspects of our wedding, not just the music part (though he excelled in that) and talked us through every crazy step of planning. On the actual wedding day he went above and beyond to make sure that our day was the most incredible and fun time us and our friends and families could ever have no matter how wet it was. It poured, we ruined his shoes, and he was still smiling and getting everyone dancing the whole time. Mike is worth every single penny and then some. I know its cliche in reviews, but STOP looking. He's the one, I promise.

I can't say enough about Mike, but let me try.... I told Mike I wanted to make sure my feet hurt by the end of the night. He delivered in a big way - my feet might permanently hurt! We tore up the dance floor. One of my guests yelled to me on the dance floor "I am SO tired and out of breath, but I can't stop, each song keeps getting better and better!" - as a bride, that was my dream. Mike was very professional, calm and he didn't put on a show - which was important to us. He just gave us really good music at exactly the right times. Leading up to the wedding, Mike was one of our lowest maintenance vendors. Planning was overwhelming for me and it meant a lot to be able to use his simple website to request certain songs, and really nail everything down with one meeting. If you want people telling you "that was the most fun I've ever had at a wedding" for days and weeks after - hire Mike. Wish we could do it all over again!

DJ Jon and Mike's Music were so great to work with from beginning to end. They have a very user-friendly online portal where you can log in to make song lists and create an event timeline. They got to know our personalities and took the time to understand us and what we were looking for. On the day of our wedding, DJ Jon was AMAZING. He was low key and kept a really low profile, but kept the party going non-stop. He was great at keeping the momentum going without any lulls between songs. Every song he played was one of those songs you just HAD to dance to. I'll never forget looking around and seeing everyone up dancing, young and old, our college friends dancing with grandmothers with oxygen tanks. DJ Jon and Mike's Music was the #1 vendor who made our wedding SO great. We can't say enough great things and would recommend him and Mike's Music to anyone.

Mike Bacon is the BEST DJ! From the first time we met Mike, we knew that we wouldn't have to worry about the music on our wedding! He is so thorough and knows endless amounts of music. Mike is a wonderful DJ and was extremely helpful both throughout our wedding planning and on the day of the wedding itself. The best part about his services is that Mike can help make the day run smoothly by going above and beyond the typical DJ responsibilities. He was a huge part of our coordination for the day, constantly checking in with us and keeping us updated about how things were going. Even though our caterer also served as a coordinator, Mike worked seamlessly with her throughout the day. Mike was also very accommodating with working in our venue. It was not an easy venue to work in given how much he had to move around his sound system, but Mike did a wonderful job with it all. He had to move the sound system among 4 different locations -- the ceremony site, the cocktail hour location, the dinner location, and the dance floor -- throughout the venue, but he did it with such great energy and efficiency. Mike also "saved the day" when he found the bride's misplaced reception dress. Our whole wedding party spent about 20 minutes after the ceremony looking for it, but then as soon as we told Mike about the dilemma, he came back to us with it within 5 minutes! We could not have found that dress without his help. We received so many compliments from our guests about Mike. He was constantly engaged with our guests and always made sure that they were aware of what was going on and the plans for the day, and he made sure everyone was having a great time. Mike was perfect! We would be happy to give Mike our highest recommendation for his wedding services.

Trust me, go with Mike! From the first meeting over Skype to the follow-up emails and day of planning and coordinating, Mike was awesome. He made my wife and I completely comfortable and did not hesitate to go above and beyond. We had a very specific first dance idea and he spent TWO HOURS on Skype with us to get it perfect. Day of, Mike took time to find us amid the festivities to make sure we were having fun and make sure we had everything that we need. The music was great and the overall experience was excellent! The only complaint we received was that our guests were bummed the music had to stop at the end of the night. He had the dance floor going and no one wanted to stop! Trust me, go with Mike!

Mike is the total package!! He's an amazing MC, DJ and Coordinator. Mike met with us well in advance to cover every detail of our big day. Wow- Mike really pulled our wedding together! He is so much more than a DJ; he came up to check on me before the ceremony, helped prepare us for the big moment, and made sure my husband and I paused to enjoy every moment. He knew exactly the right songs to play to highlight each moment, and played the right mix of rock and pop music to keep the dance floor full of guests of all ages. I think a great DJ knows how to keep the couple calm while keeping the guests engaged, and Mike was able to do this and more. We are so happy we found him!

Mike and David are the absolute best around! Mike was the Dj at my sister's wedding four years ago and I knew right away I had to have him for my wedding! I booked him well over a year in advanced to make sure he was available! From the first meeting to the day of he was nothing but excited and enthusiastic. We saw Mike at a friends wedding a few years ago and just knew we HAD to have him as our DJ! He met with us for two hours to go over everything. I had no idea what I was doing until we met with him. Mike's Music is exceptional! Mike was referred to me by a friend who works at a wedding venue. I have attended several weddings where Mike was the DJ and knew when it was my turn to get married, I wanted Mike to be there. My Husband and I got married in February and our wedding was cancelled due to the blizzard. Mike was beyond helpful to a frantic bride, I never had to worry. Mike is a true professional. He did an outstanding job at our wedding at White Cliffs Country Club on June 12th. Mike had a well thought out plan after sitting down with him in our initial meeting and going over what we wanted. He customized that plan on our wedding day. He has an upbeat and very positive approach and makes you feel confident in him. He knew exactly which songs to play to keep our wedding crowd dancing. Everyone really enjoyed it. My wife and I would highly recommend him if you are getting married and have not yet picked a DJ.

We can't say enough great things about Mike! We first heard of him through our venue. They gave him a rave review and we knew he was someone we wanted to meet. My husband and I considered the music to be one of the major decisions in the wedding planning process, as the flow of good music can make or break the mood of the night. We didn't want people sitting around at their tables all night, but we also didn't want our wedding reception to turn into a nightclub after dinner. Let's just say, we had loads of questions for Mike at that first meeting! He patiently answered all of our questions and within a few minutes we knew that he understood the vibe that we wanted at our reception. Mike gave so many great song suggestions while focusing on transition songs as well. After leaving our first meeting with Mike, we trusted that he would do an amazing job. We were right! On the second meeting, we gave Mike a few songs we liked, he gladly edited one and downloaded several more upon request. Mikes sets you up with page dedicated to your wedding music. The database of songs he has is HUGE and I loved being able to input the special songs myself. We also hired a videographer through Mike. We recently went to a friend's wedding and the videographer blocked the view of many guests! So, again, we were very nervous about finding the 'right guy.' Our videographer was amazing- we can't wait to see the footage. He was like a ninja!! I don't recall even seeing him (although I know he was there) until our pictures before the reception. The great thing about Mike's videography service is that he'll stay right until the end of the night, ensuring that no special moment will be missed. Mikes responsiveness, professionalism, and friendly personality eased our stress so that we were able to enjoy ourselves on our wedding day. Thanks a million, Mike!!

Mike is what every bride needs. I was just married yesterday and couldn't resist giving him this raving review before taking a break from wedding stuff. He made the entire reception flow seamlessly which led to a hugely successful night. He not only checked in with my husband and I every so often to make sure we were happy, but he also checked in with our parents. We absolutely loved having Mike as our DJ. He was so helpful throughout the entire planning process, really making it easy on us. Mike is very organized, and was great to work with. He knew the crowd and kept the party going all night long. He went out of his way to help provide microphones for our beach wedding as well. We used Mike's Music for our DJ, uplighting, photo booth, and they provided us with a videographer as well. Every aspect was handled with complete professionalism, and we were thrilled with the end result. We cannot say enough about Mike's Music and all of the services they provided.

Let's face it- the music and DJ for the biggest night of your life is a very important detail. To me, probably one of the biggest details because it sets the tone for the entire day and night. Finding the right person with the style you're looking for, the excitement you and your future spouse (as well as your family and friends) feel and the expertise to know the kind of music your guests are enjoying can be overwhelming. I have to honestly say that myself and my husband felt so taken care of by Mike from the very beginning. His professionalism mixed with his people skills and clear love for being able to engage with and entertain people was truly amazing. Simply put, he's fantastic at what he does. I initially met Mike at a wedding event at our venue (White Cliffs Country Club) and knew right away that I wanted not only his company to be the DJ entertainment for our wedding, but that I wanted him to be the DJ for the night. We booked him that day and moved forward with the process in selecting songs through his online website, which was fantastic! We had access to it leading up to our wedding, which we really enjoyed. When new songs came out that we loved we knew we would add them to the "must play" list. My husband and I met with Mike at his office a month before our wedding to go over every detail from start to finish. I'm sure most meetings last an hour, maybe a bit longer - but he was with us for three hours! Not only did we appreciate the time he spent with us, the care that he put into detailing out our night with song selections and recommendations, but we appreciated how he spoke to us, as if we were friends chatting about planning the best night of our lives with family and friends. He was so excited to be apart of our night and it showed how much he cares for the work he does, the quality he produces, but also the people and families he is working with. Mike was able to answer any and all questions we had for him about the order of the ceremony and music associated, the introductions, the order of dances at the reception and so much more. Having Mike be able to celebrate with us while providing the entertainment for the night was perfect. He kept all of our wedding guests engaged during all points of the night, there was never a lull in the night or on the dance floor and he was able to read the crowd and respond to their requests for music played just by watching them! My husband and myself have received so many kind words about our entire night and specifically about Mike and his DJ services. People have said it was the most fun they've had at a wedding and give so much credit to the amazing DJ!
