The dance floor had people on it for the entire time and he played music that catered to every generation in attendance without much guidance before hand. He even had the bartenders dancing while making drinks! He took our wedding up a notch and it was worth every penny! He is prompt, professional, and knows how to have a good time! Mike guided us through preparing for the wedding and made us feel so comfortable while planning a big party! I would hands down recommend Mike to anyone looking for a DJ who is sure to make it a memorable wedding!

ng the perfect feeling for our wedding with our music choices. But since we were planning from afar we had no frame of reference for local DJs. We took a (well-researched and well-supported) chance on Mike and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made! We were on the same page from our first conversation when we all agreed that wedding receptions are too short to play old, cliche tunes. This was reinforced with our incredibly helpful pre-wedding conversation where we laid out the entire evening set to music. He got excited about the songs we had planned, offered up solutions to our questions and conundrums, and incorporated unique requests and other tasks with ease. It was such a relief to know I could enjoy the entire evening with Mike at the helm. He knew exactly what to play and when to keep people excited and dancing. I have received countless compliments from friends and relatives, some of whom never get on the dance floor--except for at my wedding. Besides music, Mike also has a great grasp on the big picture of the night and was totally prepared to coordinate and orchestrate reception events. If our reception vendor wasn't already completely on top of it, Mike would absolutely have picked up the slack. But he was happy to step back and focus on the music, I'm sure along with plenty of tiny actions to keep things running smoothly while we got to focus on each other. If you're willing to give up creative control to someone who knows what he's doing, and if you're ready to be completely immersed in the joy and excitement of your wedding, Mike is absolutely your guy.

Mike took suggestions from us on what songs we would like to hear and then built our night off of it. All of our friends and a lot of our family killed it on the dance floor. He also rolls with the punches. I remember looking up in the middle of dancing and saw my niece (the flower girl) up at the DJ station "helping him out". Too cute and a good sport. I even have received compliments from guests on how great he was. I would (and will) 100% recommend him to anyone who asks.

Mike made game day suggestions as to how we could do things in a more organized way and worked with us as a team. Make Bacon does not make any part of your wedding day about him, his agenda, or his music preferences. He tailored our wedding to us and played all of the endless music suggestions we had made. For those of you brides and grooms who are looking for a DJ to play music and to help the day runs smoothly, I strongly suggest you reach out to Mike bacon. It is the second best decision I made on my wedding date (the first was to marry the love of my life). I’m honored that we had Mike Bacon as our wedding DJ, and now friend. I know my wedding guests will be talking about him for years to come.

moving! The things that stand out for me that others should consider: 1) Mike had a great set up: high-quality speakers and lapel mics that picked up officiant and our voices during ceremony. Mike perfectly hid the lapel mic on my husband's suit jacket so it didn't appear in photos--no unsightly boom stand in the way. 2) He checks in with you on how things are going. And he is always positive. 3) He makes it work. We had additionally ceremony music that had a different audio set up, and he came early to ensure they could coordinate and practice the hand offs. Oh, and when we asked if he could speed our first dance song up by 5%--no problem. 4) He spent 90 minutes chatting with me and my then fiance on the music for the wedding--he gave great advice, lessons learned from prior weddings, and options for us to consider. He is an expert, and has great music taste too! I actually met DJ Mike when he was the DJ for my best friend's wedding two years earlier, in which I was the maid of honor. At that time, he gave me great advice on how to give a good speech, and he gave both me and the best man a pep talk right before the moment. He simply goes above and beyond to help the night go very well. So as both the bride and a member of a bridal party, DJ Mike was great!

day of wedding planner - he makes sure things go according to plan the day of your wedding. He will keep things going on time and, most importantly, bring your dreams to reality. In our wedding, we had a vivid entrance plan. Mike worked with us in terms of coming up with the perfect entrance and making these "dreams" become reality. What we wanted, a lively dance floor and from the beginning entrance and he provided it all. Think about, what will people remember - The venue, the food and the music/people. Mike takes time to listen to you in his three consultations and is always there for you from the moment you hire him to the final song of your wedding. He also provides uplighting and uses state of the art Bose speakers (wireless/wired) as well.

Mike worked with us to craft the perfect music for the ceremony from the seating of the parents to the recessional. Mike helped us to craft our full itinerary from pre-ceremony photos to the end of the evening. Most noteworthy to me is how Mike kept us on time. He was always discreetly keeping my wife and I aware of timelines and what was to happen next. I believe Mike genuinely wanted us to have the best day of our lives. He grabbed drinks for our wedding party at one point. He saw a great photo opportunity with the clouds outside and advised us to get a shot with the photographer. He was fun and funny and kept our wedding party tied together. I would absolutely recommend hiring Mike to DJ your wedding or event. You will not be unhappy. He did more for us then I have ever seen a DJ do for a client in any scenario.

We met with Mike on Skype (we live in NC, wedding was in Maine), for about 2 hours approximately 3 weeks before the wedding. He asked us questions we hadn’t even thought of, and provided feedback and gentle advice that turned out to be pure gold. We, nor any of our guests, had ever seen a dance floor erupt so quickly. There was no awkward, “alright…time to dance!...” moment. He crafted the event flow so that when the music started, it was as if the floodgates had opened. It was simply incredible. He was a master at reading the crowd. He incorporated important personal requests we had set up ahead of time, while maintaining general audience interest. For the month since our wedding, we have heard unending positive feedback from our friends about how awesome the DJ was. From the beginning of our interactions with him, Mike went above and beyond. To fielding our frantic last minute questions, to keeping us cool when a key member was missing for a few minutes too long before introductions, to personally setting aside and bringing us 2 lobsters each after we had been taking pictures at sunset during the beginning of dinner. We highly recommend Mike to every soon-to-be-wed couple. We feel so lucky that we found him for our special day.

earch. And boy, were all of the reviews true! He made everything very straightforward and simple. We had one sit-down with him via Skype and went over all of our typical wedding details - the music and things special to our day that he wanted to make happen for us. He not only organized all of this, but he also gave us helpful feedback and brought up things we hadn't even thought to ask! We also had the added challenge of mixing two different cultures for our wedding. We wanted to find a way to mix Turkish music and traditions with American ones. And to do so in a way that didn't seem forced and kept the liveliness and fun going throughout the night. He handled the transitions between both cultures that night seamlessly. He even found a way to play some metal music for me because I'd mentioned to him that I'm a big fan. On the actual day, he did more coordinating than our wedding coordinator! He ran around putting out small fires and calming everybody down and making them smile. Our matron of honor and best man both commented how unbelievably nervous they were to give their toasts. He talked them both through the timing and the way it should be done, and let them be just focused on the fun part of it. Many of our guests from both sides came up and commented on how amazing he was. We had a slightly longer wedding than most and didn't expect everybody to stay until the very end. But he made our wedding so much fun that many people stayed up until the very last minute dancing! And as for us, the bride and groom, he helped the caterer give us some time to sit and eat. He also grabbed us after the ceremony, brought us to a separate room, and let us have some private time together. That was one of our favorite parts of the wedding and we will always be thankful for that. Thank you, Mike!

ill the most AMAZING day of my life, almost all of our guest have told us it was the best wedding they have ever gone to, I danced in the rain in my dress, and I definitely owe MOST of that (have to give the groom and guests a little credit ;) ) to Mike. Holy cow was he amazing. From the start of our relationship with him as our DJ he created a zero stress environment which, I'm sure as all of your reading this are realizing as you plan, just isn't normally a thing while planning a wedding. He made sure we were getting everything we wanted in all aspects of our wedding, not just the music part (though he excelled in that) and talked us through every crazy step of planning. On the actual wedding day he went above and beyond to make sure that our day was the most incredible and fun time us and our friends and families could ever have no matter how wet it was. It poured, we ruined his shoes, and he was still smiling and getting everyone dancing the whole time. Mike is worth every single penny and then some. I know its cliche in reviews, but STOP looking. He's the one, I promise.

One of my guests yelled to me on the dance floor "I am SO tired and out of breath, but I can't stop, each song keeps getting better and better!" - as a bride, that was my dream. Mike was very professional, calm and he didn't put on a show - which was important to us. He just gave us really good music at exactly the right times. Leading up to the wedding, Mike was one of our lowest maintenance vendors. Planning was overwhelming for me and it meant a lot to be able to use his simple website to request certain songs, and really nail everything down with one meeting. If you want people telling you "that was the most fun I've ever had at a wedding" for days and weeks after - hire Mike. Wish we could do it all over again!

imeline. They got to know our personalities and took the time to understand us and what we were looking for. On the day of our wedding, DJ Jon was AMAZING. He was low key and kept a really low profile, but kept the party going non-stop. He was great at keeping the momentum going without any lulls between songs. Every song he played was one of those songs you just HAD to dance to. I'll never forget looking around and seeing everyone up dancing, young and old, our college friends dancing with grandmothers with oxygen tanks. DJ Jon and Mike's Music was the #1 vendor who made our wedding SO great. We can't say enough great things and would recommend him and Mike's Music to anyone.

He was a huge part of our coordination for the day, constantly checking in with us and keeping us updated about how things were going. Even though our caterer also served as a coordinator, Mike worked seamlessly with her throughout the day. Mike was also very accommodating with working in our venue. It was not an easy venue to work in given how much he had to move around his sound system, but Mike did a wonderful job with it all. He had to move the sound system among 4 different locations -- the ceremony site, the cocktail hour location, the dinner location, and the dance floor -- throughout the venue, but he did it with such great energy and efficiency. Mike also "saved the day" when he found the bride's misplaced reception dress. Our whole wedding party spent about 20 minutes after the ceremony looking for it, but then as soon as we told Mike about the dilemma, he came back to us with it within 5 minutes! We could not have found that dress without his help. We received so many compliments from our guests about Mike. He was constantly engaged with our guests and always made sure that they were aware of what was going on and the plans for the day, and he made sure everyone was having a great time. Mike was perfect! We would be happy to give Mike our highest recommendation for his wedding services.
