our wedding due to COVID, I luckily came across Miki and Sonja. I called Sonja and explained our dire situation, and miraculously that Saturday was the only day out of the year that they were not booked! She was so accommodating and worked with us to find the right package and in a caring and timely matter. The day of the wedding we had a few crazy mishaps and hiccup's as well, but again Miki and Sonja were amazing. They helped ease the stress and were calm and collected throughout the chaos. I would 100% recommend Miki and Sonja for your wedding needs, you will not regret it, I promise you! Thanks again Miki and Sonja, we are forever grateful for you both!

we loved their dynamic as they worked together. They were also very responsive to emails, so it felt reassuring to communicate with them. We felt immediately comfortable around Miki and Sonja when we first met them in person for our engagement photo shoot. That was one of our favorite days of our engagement. They completely understood our vision and found an AMAZING location for the photo shoot that exceeded our expectations. It was even better than the vision. On our wedding day, I barely noticed their presence. They had tons of amazing shots without taking away from the moment. They also did not interfere with each other's photos nor the videographer (who we hired from a different company). I have nothing but positive things to say about Miki and Sonja. Thanks to some dramatic family dynamics, we had a need to do a second session of family pictures, which wasn’t in the plan or the timeline, and they were totally flexible and not phased a bit. Our wedding pictures are fantastic! Going through them is like reliving the day/night all over and its awesome. Having the two of them was a great decision because of all the incredible moments each of them were able to capture that happen throughout the night. As the wedding couple - you just cannot keep up with it all. Our formal wedding and wedding party pictures are exceptional, and again great decision in having them both there because of all the various angles and positions two capture vs just one person. We will absolutely use them for photography again in the future. They were great to work with, did really exceptional work and we would recommend then to anyone!

They really took a lot of time to understand our vision and our family dynamics to help us build out our list of target photos. They were also experienced at doing shoots at our venue – Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes – so they were able to help us plan the entire shoot so that we took all the best shots in all the best locations at the perfect time given lighting conditions. On wedding day they were organized and ready to roll. You could tell they really took an interest in us, and the event, and that they were pumped up to do a great job. And they did an excellent, excellent job capturing everything. Getting ready, first look, the bridal party, the families, the ceremony, etc. They got it all. And they didn't mind getting their shoes dirty to get some incredible shots. They literally went all out and we loved every minute of it. Among all of our wedding vendors, Miki & Sonja really stood out as being top-notch, real professionals, worth every penny and more. They get our highest endorsement. more detailed session to discuss the vision, things to focus on and what to avoid, and we heard their reasonable package options. We never felt pressured during the process, which some vendors can inadvertently do. During the day of the event, they were able to capture our most precious moments, from the first look to our first dance, without the pics looking too awkward. Their greatest strength is their candid shots over portraits. They assist you with how to pose, where to place your limbs, how to create both direct and candid shots, all while making you have fun during the process. Miki and Sonja were able to work within our budget and we got our wedding photos within a week and a half of our wedding! We would highly recommend Miki and Sonja as they are very highly skilled and very personable expert photographers.

nly wonderful to work with and exceptionally talented but also are such kind people. They made every effort to make us feel comfortable and worked so hard throughout the day to make sure that they caught every moment. At one point, Sonja was laying on the floor holding my veil in the wind while Miki was taking photos. They went above and beyond to make sure that every image was perfect all the while moving quickly and dealing with a large bridal party. They were always on time and are extremely efficient. They were not pushy at all and truly strived to make sure that everyone was happy. I called them ninjas because I did not even notice that they were there. I forgot that they were at the reception and cannot believe the photos that they captured! They were somehow everywhere but also not visible at all, which is something that one can only hope for in a wedding photographer. They are really an amazing team and we could not be happier that they were there to share in our day with us. Their shots really captured the spirit of our wedding and we loved reliving our wedding through the pictures. They were a pleasure to work with and made the process fun; they could not come more highly recommended!!

ly did their due diligence in learning exactly what my husband and I wanted, we were so thrilled with our pictures! Our wedding was in Palm Springs, CA. We did a big Greek wedding at the church and then pictures outside and inside for the reception! We had a lot of logistical moving parts on the day of the wedding. The bride and groom got ready in who different locations 30 minutes away and the church was an additional 25 minutes away from the bride and groom....to top it all off the reception was even more travel!!! I mention this because Miki and Sonja were FANTASTIC at assisting with coordination of the timeline....exactly where to be and when (also took daylight into consideration!) these were details as a bride I didn’t want to worry about, and thankfully they had it covered!!! Thank you for capturing our special day !!!

k some amazing sunset photos and they were SO SO SO efficient with their timing. I didn't want to spend my wedding taking photos all day. I made that clear when I spoke with them and they accommodated above and beyond to make that happen for me. They were never in the way and yet they always caught the best moments. You would be lucky to have these two at your wedding, I know I was. They play so well off of each other and are so fun and incredibly professional.

Miki and Sonja captured every little moment, interaction, and facial expression beautifully - with gorgeous framing, lighting and everything - so that we've been able to relive our special day and even see moments between our guests that we missed the day of! I can't wait to get tons of photos & phonebooks printed for myself and everyone else as holiday gifts. On top of the beautiful photos, Miki and Sonja were a pleasure to work with. They put us all at ease right away and gave helpful cues for flattering and natural-looking photos. My dad is a photography enthusiast and they even chatted with him about their cameras and let him take a few photos himself! We are all so grateful that we chose them and can't wait to work with them for future events!

Miki & Sonja. Not only was the quality of their work head-and-shoulders above the other photographers we saw, they were incredibly personable and easy to get along with. One of the key differences about Miki & Sonja was that there are 2 photographers, who could capture multiple angles of the same moment AND streamline the portrait parts; you don't really appreciate that until it's happening and see the final results. We pretty much had the deposit written ready before we left their studio. As part of our package, we also included an Engagement Session at the Disneyland Resort. We met up and spent several hours with them, pretty much covering the best locations at both parks. The photos from the Engagement Session were perfect for our Save-the-Date cards. When the big day came, they were already on the scene taking photos all over the venue that did not require people. The only time we recall seeing Miki or Sonja were the pre-ceremony and post-ceremony portraits. They were like ninjas during the rest of the event. Sonja reached out to us a few weeks later to let us know that our proof book was available, a flash drive with everything, as well as an online gallery. All of the photos were color and light corrected and with over 1800 photos taken we couldn't believe some of the shots and angles they were able to capture. It took us quite a while to select the ones we wanted for the "official" book. When it did come time to select the photos, it was a simple online process. Then the magic happened... The final book took a few months, but it is stunning and the quality is unsurpassed. We had previously looked at the album from our parents' weddings (from 40 years ago) and the technology available now made those look like an antique. The photos from the flash drive were perfect for prints up to 11x14 and photo books for the parental units (Costco is awesome!). Again, we cannot stress enough the importance of quality wedding photos. If your budget is finite, cut back on everything EXCEPT photography. In 10 years, you're not going to care if there was an open bar, how many tiers were on the cake or what was served for appetizers. Photos last forever and can remind you of the day for years to come. Miki & Sonja are true artists and provide you with only the best-of-the-best-of-the-best. If we could rate them more than 5 stars, we would and we hope to stay in touch with them in the future.

p-notch. We love the depth of field with the focus on certain areas, the rich colors, and the variety of angles. The coverage the team provided was terrific - they work well together. We were hopeful that details were covered, like the garden altar, unity candles, details of the flowers and chairs, guests arriving, the ceremony participants and we saw what we were looking for. Then the cocktail hour, again the guest shots, our family remembrance table, the first dance, the dining room, place settings. the dancing, and again more people shots. My wife was especially pleased because Miki and Sonja caught many of the details she worked so hard to get. The photo proof book presentation is top notch and I'm sure we will review it for years to come. The USB drive is also a very handy tool.

g, and we were fortunate that we were able to have two amazing photographers to capture the event. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to find any photos that I liked, but there were literally so many good photos that it was hard to chose only 50 to eventually make a professional album. I made a few Shutterfly albums for family members for Christmas, and my dad said that they even made him look good. I didn't even notice that they were there during the ceremony and receptions. They were able to stay out of the way while capturing every moment. They were also creative. They used some of the small roses from the ceremony chair decor to photograph our rings. They scoped out the country club where we had the wedding to find the best areas for taking the photos of the family/bridal party and also of my husband and me. I couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding or better photographers. I would highly recommend Miki & Sonja for you wedding.

We interviewed a lot of photographers, and we were most impressed with their ability to work so well with digital and film photography, day of it was amazing watching them switch back and forth never losing time or energy waiting on memory cards or film. They work really well together and make you feel in great hands. I would give them 10/5 stars if I could. You won't be disappointed! On the day of our wedding, Miki and Sonja arrived on time, got all the shots we asked for and when we got our proofs back they were SO beautiful! All the while being kind and friendly. You cannot make a better choice than Miki and Sonja.

So much planning and precision goes into planning one's dream wedding and the only way it will live on forever is through your photos. In my opinion your photographer is on of the most important vendors you will hire and I just can't recommend Miki & Sonja Photography enough. I first met them when they were the photographers for my brother's wedding and liked working with and being around them so much I couldn't wait to hire them for my own wedding which occurred 6 months later in October '16. I hired them without even seeing how my brother's photos turned out because I loved them as people first. I wanted and in fact did receive the same time, care and attention to detail that my brother did. They were so easygoing, focused and worked hard to be creative and get what I knew would turn out to be great shots. Since there are two of them they truly miss nothing. Sonja stayed with the girls in the bridal suite while getting dressed and Miki went to the grooms suite. When trying to get difficult shots they work together as a team and it is invaluable to have them together instead of just one person who cannot capture all alone. They were invisible yet ever present all at the same time. They were sensitive to family dynamics and made sure that everyone was happy and comfortable. Your wedding photographers are with you during the most intimate moments of your life during the most important day of your life and I couldn't imaging having been photographed by anyone else or around anyone else besides Miki & Sonja on my special day. My photos are breathtaking and perfect. I could not recommend these photographers more to anyone who wants to have a flawless wedding day experience and receive amazing images with which to relive the day forever.

Most importantly, they really listened to what was important to me to have in the photos (locations, angles, style). Also on the day of, when it can be stressful, they were so calming and made you feel at ease. I cannot stress enough how amazing this team is and highly recommend them.

They need to fit your style and, ultimately, you need to feel so comfortable around them because they’re with you in the most private of moments ,both as a couple and surrounded around your loved ones. We were referred to Miki & Sonja through friends and the moment we met them we instantly felt a connection. One, I love that they are a husband/wife team. You feel like they just get what marriage is about and you can see how passionate they are about their field. They have a special, classic eye, which comes from their past training with film, which is obvious is the photos they take. Their shots are clean, intimate and they find those special candid moments. They just made us feel so welcome and comfortable. My husband isn’t used to taking photos (neither was I particularly) but they ease you right into the camera in such a natural way. They are beyond professional and they check-in with you even after the wedding is over, which makes you feel like your wedding was special to them. They answer emails on time, they don’t rush you, and they are flexible. I can’t recommend them highly enough. There’s something special about them, which I feel is exuded in the stunning photos they take and their warm and happy dispositions. Not only do you smile when you see your photos, but you smile knowing the people behind the lens were smiling while taking those photos.
