Mikkel Paige Photography

engagement shoot as well as for our wedding. Prior to both our engagement shoot and our wedding, she made a detailed plan, outlining the locations we would go to. This made both occasions smooth and seamless. Mikkel made my life easier leading up to my wedding, too, as she reached out to my other vendors to ensure they were all on the same page and everyone knew the logistics. Mikkel is also very level headed, which is so important for a wedding photographer. Her presence is very calming and she made sure I was relaxed and happy the entire day of my wedding, even when we fell behind schedule due to a transportation hiccup. Chances are, something is not going to go as planned on your wedding day. I'm so grateful that Mikkel was there to remedy the situation. She really is the best and I would hire her again!

and sympathetic as it was a very stressful time. Her artistic vision definitely showed through her work - the pictures and album came out amazing and we were more than pleased with it. We will always have these wonderful memories to look at through the years and we cannot wait to hire her for future events to come!!!

d be the one thing we could cherish forever for our intimate ceremony and Mikkel made sure that they were perfect. It was important for us to have someone who listened to our wants & needs, and who could also add her professional expertise and skill to capture incredible images and Mikkel exceeded our expectations in every way. The proof of this was in our final decision once we saw the final photos, as we decided to purchase the entire catalogue instead of the original plan to purchase a smaller limited package. We highly recommend working with Mikkel!

language to describe how amazing Mikkel was. She was a DYNAMO. Prior to the wedding, she worked with us to create the best version of our website, even offering to help us resize photographs my father had taken to put up. Every conversation we had leading up to the wedding was thorough, she even considered the comfort levels of our wedding party during the event prior to so there were no awkward conversations the day of. That day she came in like a gale force wind, sweeping through to ensure she captured each moment with grace and care. She made everyone she took photos of feel like they were their best selves, calling each person by their name without ever having met them. Everyone glowed when she finished talking with them. While I could gush over how amazing she was that day, it will never live up to sitting in our living room one week after the wedding when we received an email from Mikkel with our FULL gallery of photos neatly organized. We quickly picked our jaws up off the floor and spent hours reliving our wedding day for our ONE WEEK anniversary. Nothing can compare the positive memories she has given us throughout the experience and the EXTREME customer service she provides during your entire journey.

n't just the pictures that left us speechless, which is obviously reflected in all of her work, it was the entire process from beginning until months after our wedding day. She really proved how professional, caring, prepared, and hardworking she is. We always think about how blown away our family was with her. The day after the wedding, everyone asked us about her methods. "How did she remember everyone's name?" "How did she know who was related to who?" "How did she move so quickly?" We laughed as we explained how Mikkel met with us several times to understand our family and relationships so she could integrate herself into the wedding seamlessly. Her prep work was visible to everyone! Mikkel arrived a day before our actual wedding and took the most beautiful photographs of our resort which we did not expect at all. Our location was a massive property and was admittedly difficult to navigate because it was so large. Within a few hours, Mikkel knew where to go for EVERYTHING. We didn't even know where we'd do our First Look or where we would take group pictures but somehow Mikkel figured it all out. When you're in the middle of greeting guests and coordinating your bridesmaids, the timeline and location of things just slip out of your mind. We are forever grateful for this because we honestly did not think any of that through! Quite honestly, we were never nervous in hiring Mikkel. We knew from past experiences and from referrals from good friends that she was the person we wanted on our team. We trusted her from the start and it's something I would tell all couples when hiring her. Just trust her. She will respect your vision and go above and beyond to exceed your expectations. She did that for us and we will always be grateful!

n making your day go smoothly that you don’t even notice when she is taking photos (unless it’s one of your requested staged ones)! Her quick eye for candid shots, foresight for gorgeous photos and extensive experience made us feel so comfortable taking photos! If you love dreamy and magical pictures, hire Mikkel!

ght. I had a crazy idea though and wanted to shoot a fast engagement shoot at a specific location. Mikkel not only quickly responded to my inquiry but also respected the time on my mini-shoot and teeny budget. She put my fiancé and I so at ease, that after 10 minutes, my normally super shy, introverted and PDA-hating fiancé was flipping me around, dancing and dipping me, kissing me for the best photos possible. She gave us some direction and encouraged us to do our thing and there was no awkwardness at all! We had literally just met her! She is personable, fun, easy-going, organized, professional, and sets your mind and anxieties at ease on your big day! My big wedding had to be rescheduled due to COVID-19 and we threw together a small wedding at our family farm within a week. I texted Mikkel a week before our quickly planned wedding and she was all in! She even created an amazingly organized timeline for my small ceremony with lists of family pictures that needed to be taken. Because my budget was tight, she kept us on an organized schedule and made sure we captured every picture we wanted while respecting my timeline and budget. This women is amazingly talented and captures the most precious details, (even little ones that she wants to know about!) in a quick snap, saving them for you for eternity! My wedding guests even recognized her talent on the big day due to her organized, yet laid-back demeanor. Mikkel also memorizes your family and wedding party's names!!!! How about that for service??? Instead of herding cats, she was calling on people (to their face!), and pictures moved so quickly! I didn't even have to yell at any family members! Everyone loved her presence and are now enjoying her work as she makes your pictures internet accessible to your family members. No more emailing aunt Bessie screenshots, just send her the photo link! The photos are the best part, as every image is so special and so amazing, it's difficult to decide which ones to frame!! You will not be disappointed with Mikkel as your photographer!

'd shared. Her photography style was exactly what we were looking for, crisp and detailed with vibrant colors! We loved her attention to detail not only in her photos but in getting to know us. Her photos are incredible! We've gotten so many compliments on our wedding photos and how Mikkel perfectly captured our day and all the humans we love the most that were present. She even hand delivered our wedding album to us once completed, which was such a treat! We couldn't speak more highly of our experience with Mikkel and highly recommend her!

credible. Not only is Mikkel an incredibly talented photographer, but working with her (contract, communication, coordinating with other vendors, etc.) Couldn’t have been better. She genuinely cares about her clients and getting to know them (and our families, she knows everyone’s names and remembers every little detail!). Leading up to the wedding Mikkel was incredibly detail oriented and organized - making sure the timeline was right, having us fill out questionnaires to make sure everything went smoothly day of. That really put my husband and I at ease, especially in the last couple months of wedding planning when things get crazy. Her level of professionalism is unparalleled. We absolutely love our photos, as do our families. If I could go back and redo our wedding all over again, I 1000% hire Mikkel in a heartbeat.

was one of the best parts of wedding planning. Communication and organization. After falling in love with all of the details on Mikkel’s website and reaching out. Mikkel went above and beyond by recording a personalized video to introduce herself to us, which she sent along with all of the photography program details. Her level of communication and organization was consistent throughout the planning process, with regular check ins and timeline drafts up until the day itself. We also filled out a super detailed questionnaire that allowed Mikkel to keep track of all of the specific photos that we wanted and helped create a timeline for the entire day. Professionalism. While being utterly professional and driven, Mikkel is also so fun to work with. She scoped out optimal locations for our engagement shoot and the wedding itself, which meant maximum efficiency. She’s also done this a million times, so we were able to relax, confident that she would capture each moment perfectly. Neither of us are selfie people or take tons of photos of ourselves, but Mikkel made it fun and kept us laughing! Also on the wedding day itself, Mikkel was able to wrangle our unruly family for the group shots that we wanted, which was no easy feat. (Another bride mentioned this in an older review and she wasn’t kidding.) Style. Lastly and certainly not least, Mikkel has the exact style that we wanted. Some photographers’ work washes out colors or makes the photographs too dark, but Mikkel’s bright and colorful style is perfect for us. We have several prints from our engagement shoot and wedding framed in our apartment, adding beautiful pops of color and amazing memories. She captured our wedding day so beautifully and designed a wedding album for us that required barely any changes from us. One of the things that we love most about Mikkel is that she made the effort to get to know us personally, which is now reflected in our amazing photography. All in all, choosing to work with Mikkel for our wedding was one of the best decisions that we made. Thank you for everything, Mikkel!

to being an excellent photographer, Mikkel is a seasoned expert in all things wedding-related. With her meticulous planning, warm demeanor, and cool head under pressure, she helped keep things running smoothly and on time (even facilitating the work of our other vendors!). Our pictures themselves came out fabulously. They're bright and full of joy. My mother-in-law even had us print out one particularly iconic one extra large and mail it to her. We couldn't be happier with what we got! Thanks so much, Mikkel. You're the best :-)

She is a whiz at making couples comfortable in front of the camera--always bringing out the best in them. She's warm, friendly, and has a wonderful sense of humor. On the logistics side of things, she's incredibly communicative, responsive, and professional. Couples everywhere would be incredibly lucky to work with her!

to make you feel like the most important person in the world when she speaks to you. Not only did she remember our wedding day details, but also she made an attempt (successfully) to remember all the names of our family members and friends. My husband and I were also blown away by her amazing talent of being in five places at once on our wedding day. Mikkel captured absolutely gorgeous photos that look bright and natural--exactly what we wanted! It is impossible to pick a handful of favorites from her gallery because they are all gorgeous. We cannot thank her enough for her positivity, professionalism, and eye for what we wanted to remember. You have found your photographer here- look no further :)

l, clean, bright, fun, active photos. No cheesy Pinterest poses, excessive use of sepia tone, etc. Throughout the process I was impressed by her organization skills, professionalism, prompt replies to messages, upbeat personality and can-do attitude. If we had a wedding related question, she went above and beyond to help us - even for things that weren't 100% photo related! Most importantly, we loved the end result - our gallery was gorgeous and was delivered to us super quickly after the wedding. In the end we have a collection of beautiful images to remember our special day and we made a new friend! Would highly recommend.

itself. Every single photograph is beautiful and it is an impossible task to choose which photos to display. Working with Mikkel was absolutely seamless. She is extremely responsive, getting back to emails with all my silly questions within less than 24 hours (usually much less). Also, her professionalism in the way she runs her business made her stand out in comparison to my other vendors. I was able to pay everything online, with detailed invoices, sign contracts etc. When we received the final photographs, they were categorized and organized. Plus you can order prints right from the site! I cannot imagine how my wedding day would have played out without her. She made sure we were on schedule, and that everything ran perfectly smooth. She went out of her way to make sure we captured all the family photos and as well as special impromptu moments throughout the day. Even more importantly she was so sweet to our family and so accommodating of our elderly Grandparents needs. She truly made our day, and we will always cherish the absolutely beautiful pictures! I cannot recommend Mikkel enough!!!

dding show. Not only did I love her work, she's so fun to be around! I knew she would be a joy to work with, and vibe really well with our family and friends. Mikkel is an expert in every manner of her business. Photo sessions with her were easy - she immediately relaxes you, and you never feel left unsure about what you're supposed to be doing. She is so incredibly responsive to any question; she even helped me with questions I had through my wedding planning process that were unrelated to photography. I really appreciated how well Mikkel read our group of people on the wedding day. We're not an entirely conventional group, so she injected some extra personality into our photos that I loved. She did a great job of directing everybody day of while also keeping the atmosphere light and fun. All of the pictures I received, from both the engagement session and the wedding, are everything I could ever want. I've been having such a hard time narrowing down what to frame because I love them all! Mikkel is truly passionate about what she does, and it shows in every aspect of her work. You will thoroughly enjoy working with her, and I guarantee would not regret hiring her. Thank you for everything Mikkel!

mpt in getting back to us, so friendly and very personal. Before we even hired her she had a video call with us to talk about our options, get to know each other and see if we would be a good fit. Leading up to the cruise, she put together a detailed photography timeline and went over every detail with us on another video call. We felt so confident knowing that everything was planned out! On the cruise she went above and beyond her role as a photographer, helping with details like pinning on the boutonnieres and making sure that everything went smoothly. We really felt like she was in our corner and she made sure we got every photo we wanted! Having a photographer who has done a few Disney cruise weddings is also a huge perk - she knows all the best photo spots and we had so much fun taking photos around the ship with her! After seeing our photos, we are so thrilled with how they all turned out. They are so beautiful and captured our day perfectly! Bringing Mikkel with us was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. We couldn't recommend her more!

herself, sh sent a short video, which was so helpful to get a better idea about her personality, style, and enthusiasm about photography, weddings, and travel. She was so responsive to every question and idea that we sent her way, and she even answered some wedding questions that had nothing to do with photography such as the ceremony practice. My husband and I could not be happier with our photos! We got them so quickly after the big day and they came out even better than we could have imagined! I kept saying how I had hope she captured that person or that moment- and she did it all! Mikkel is a gift to work with and we would highly recommend her-especially if you want a personalized and warm experience!

d for anything more perfect. But we loved working with Mikkel from day one. She takes the time to truly get to know couples - through FaceTime conversations, regular emails - and understand what's important to them. We sincerely appreciated her commitment to making sure that our photos were everything we wanted - including through a thorough walk-through of the timeline ahead of the wedding. She captured absolutely everything we wanted on our wedding day - from details like our invitations to candid moments to group photos. And most importantly she brought a wonderful energy to our whole experience, and felt like a friend on our wedding day! We would recommend Mikkel a hundred times over to anyone looking for a friendly, helpful, detail-oriented photographer who will deliver stunning photos!

ng day)! Mikkel is incredibly resourceful, punctual, amazing personality. We love how bright and colorful all our pictures were especially since our reception venue was so dark. She also works so well under pressure!! So talented!! Thank you Mikkel!

re the best back drop, learned the names of our closest friends and family members to make all the various shots a breeze, and altered our poses to create the absolute best shot. We can't thank her enough for making our day stress-free and fun!

we really wanted to hang out with! On the wedding day, Mikkel encouraged me to "chance it" when we had to make the last minute call on the rain plan, and it was such a great decision! The photos were stunning. Highly recommend hiring Mikkel! :)

h is perfect since you spend most of your special day with your photographer!). Throughout the whole wedding planning process and on the day of our wedding she was invaluable, keeping things moving and adjusting to little surprises here and there so that we did not have to worry about it. Throughout the night family and friends kept mentioning how amazing she was at setting up pictures in a beautiful and unique way rather than a straight line up. When we got our pictures (which was surprisingly fast), we were blown away at how she truly captured all of the love, happiness, and laughter throughout the day. Every single picture is a true treasure and we feel so lucky to have found Mikkel in our search for a wedding photographer. Without a doubt we would highly recommend Mikkel and are positive you will not be disappointed.

e reached out to Mikkel right away. We were so happy working with her. Mikkel is always warm, friendly and very response, and prepared when we met prior to the wedding. Her website and the online experience are excellent and very easy to use. She really listened, taking the time to get to know us and what we envisioned for the day. She went out of her way to scout out locations for photos that were just beautiful. On the day, she and Emily were fantastic. They were on time, kept us on schedule and worked through a list of priority photos that we had arranged in advance, as well as unplanned and candid ones. They were always polite and respectful to our families, bridal party and the other vendors. The photos we received are just wonderful. Full of light, color and captured the joy in our day.

our special day. Finding a photographer is like dating. You want someone you feel comfortable with, that can make you laugh, but also means business. Mikkel is the embodiment all of that and more. She makes you feel like you've known her for years and that she's a part of your family. My husband and I loved her energy from the moment we met her. We knew our bridal party could get a bit rowdy so we needed someone who wasn't afraid to speak up and tell people what to do in order for us to capture our wedding just the way we wanted it to be. Her attention to detail was a perfect match for my type A personality. I never once needed to worry about where I was supposed to be. She provided detailed schedules (down to the minute!) and was flexible when she needed to be. Putting her amazing photography talents aside, Mikkel is simply a great woman. You hire her for her photography skills but she becomes your partner through the planning process. She provided recommendations for vendors, reminded me of what to pack for the wedding, and even got to know my family and friends by name. She became a friend through the process and I am happy to recommend her for any future bride looking for a top-notch, talented, professional, and fun photographer. Not to mention, the compliments you'll receive on your engagement and wedding photos are endless!

she listened to us, helped us to make the right decisions and was so professional all the way through. The days leading up to the wedding were hectic and decisions had to be made about where to take First Look photos made challenging because of the weather (wedding was in January in Central Park). Mikkel was a champ and came up with some great solutions for us. But her involvement did not end there. She helped us through every step of the process, curating our wedding photos for us into a wonderful album that exceeded our expectations. Thank you Mikkel for creating such amazing and lasting memories for us.

think twice about. Mikkel went above and beyond to make sure she knew the vision for our big day and planned the day down to the minute. We were so comfortable with Mikkel from our initial meeting that it was like we were having our good friend as our wedding photographer. She was able to capture the most beautiful moments of our wedding day with brightness and color that will help us relive this day for years to come. As we were getting ready to take off for our honeymoon we had the best surprise of a wedding photo sneak peak from Mikkel and within days of getting home we had all wedding photos ready for us to look through. If you are evaluating wedding photographers then look no further than Mikkel. She is professional, personable and one of the hardest workers we know!

ding through both e-mail and facetime. Every time we spoke I loved her more and more. Her attention to detail made for the most gorgeous venue pictures. She captured so many details that we didn’t get to see the day of. From our first look to the crazy dancing, I can still feel all of the emotions when I look at the pictures. They captured every feeling we had that day and it makes us love them that much more! Everyone from our bridal party, family and guests loved her. Her ability to make you feel comfortable while getting your picture taken is uncanny! She was even able to capture pictures of our fur babies in the most adorable way. For our wedding we had to come up with two plans, a rain plan and a sun plan. Mikkel provided timelines for both, and helped us choose a picture location for the rain plan. The week of the wedding Mikkel facetimed us to discuss both plans and various picture options. We ended up with our rain plan option but Mikkel’s pictures did not disappoint. Even with the rain, Mikkel was able to capture the most beautiful pictures filled with soft light and amazing color! We truly loved working with Mikkel! Kevin even mentioned that he wants to take more pictures now! We wish we could do it all over just to work with her again. She was one of the best parts of that day! We would highly recommended hiring Mikkel! We are so grateful for all she has done :)

and fun to go through the wedding planning process with. She took the time to get to know me and my groom and our story. Every little detail of our wedding day mattered as much to her as it did to me, which is evident in the pictures we have to cherish forever!

AUTIFUL! Mikkel is a really talented photographer who is super passionate about what she does- this really shows through her photos. She has an incredible eye for detail. Mikkel found magic and beauty everywhere we took photos- in downtown Manhattan for our engagement and the W Hotel for our wedding- she sees potential in all different colors, backgrounds, settings. There are so many beautiful and different photos of us, it’s impossible to choose which to print! Mikkel’s personality is also so energetic, fun and relaxed. She is able to direct large groups of people and families to get great shots in whatever the time allotted. Leading up to the wedding, she provided detailed e-mails with tips for the big day. She went over every minute of our timeline with us so we could make sure everything went as planned, every moment was captured and no details were missed. The day of the wedding, she came early to make sure everything/everyone was ready to go. Mikkel is my favorite vendor we used for this wedding- I can't recommend her enough!

wanted in a photographer! Things we knew we wanted: someone who was familiar with traveling. Mikkel's portfolio of destination weddings and travel blog was proof that we would be in the hands of someone who was familiar with the climate and had an eye to catch every unique backsplash. We knew that we wanted someone who could give us guidance (so that we weren't always staring directly at the camera, for example). We knew that we wanted to look natural; Mikkel taking the time to get to know the kind of couple we are gave our photos the direction we wanted. From day one, she was interested in who we were as a couple. We set up Facetime meetings to meet "in person" prior to us finalizing our arrangement because Mikkel wanted us to be sure that she was the right fit for our special day. What we didn't know we wanted: Unless you've planned a wedding before, you were probably unaware of the strategic plan that you need to walk into that special day and include everything you wanted to capture before the sun goes down! Our ceremony started at 5:00 PM and the sun set just before 6:30 PM. With such a small window to take photos of the entire family and wedding party, we were contemplating doing a first look (which neither of us wanted to do). Little did we know, Mikkel had already laid out a detailed schedule for the day that we were able to stick with perfectly and incorporate photos before the ceremony and leave plenty of time after to capture the bride/groom and family photos. Every aspect of the day was thoroughly thought out by Mikkel- I mean everything! She scoped out areas of the resort to photograph the groomsmen and ran back over to take pictures of the bride and bridesmaids. Not to mention, it poured rain until about an hour before the ceremony and the breathtaking photos she took are memories that we will have for a lifetime. The first time I saw Mikkel's work was also the moment I knew I needed to meet her. My college friend has just received her photos back perfectly edited and I was blown away by how soft and natural everyone looked! She was an absolute delight to work with- never stressed, never rushing, always smiling and full of wonderful ideas. We were certainly a couple that needed direction and she willingly offered up suggestions when we asked for advice. But by the time the big day came, we didn't have to ask because she had taken such an investment in learning our likes and dislikes and our style. I look at our photos every day and I am so honored that we had the privilege of working with Mikkel. By the way, the photo lab that she recommends is definitely worth it! We have printed off over 35 photos ranging from 4x6 to 10x13 and they are just fabulous. Thanks for everything, Mikkel!

ility to capture details and moments in a very clear, artistic way. We love how well she shoots color with such a timeless look. On the actual wedding day she was with us from the beginning to the end. She was very professional, guiding us to the best locations at the venue to snap photos. She did a wonderful job capturing the day in its entirety and she made sure that we got all of the photos listed on our shot list. After the wedding ended and we headed off on our honeymoon, she provided us with updates on the status of our photos and got them to us in a very timely manner. We LOVE our photos and our friends and family have thoroughly enjoyed them as well. We highly recommend hiring Mikkel to capture your wedding day!

ht, emotional photo style was exactly what we were looking for our intimate, end-of-summer garden party wedding. Mikkel takes a personal approach to her customers and we had a long and productive email exchange even before the booking. She helped us to come up with the wedding day timeline, which in long run made it really easy to plan the rest of the day. We kept in touch through the planning process and she was always there for us with tips, quick answers and advice. Come day of, Mikkel was truly our savior -- she made sure everything is on time, and very tactfully but firmly ensured there are no delays. Her energetic, fun loving, but in the same way very professional demeanor made it easy for everyone to follow her lead. Mikkel was very protective of our (bride and groom) time, gently distracting guests trying to ambush couple’s photoshoot etc. Mikkel’s communication skills are fantastic: our wedding, with many guests coming from overseas and not speaking much or any English, was a real challenge, and she managed it perfectly. She had everyone on the same page in no time, no matter what language they spoke. Mikkel was also very relaxed and non-judgemental about many less traditional aspects of our wedding. Finally, our pictures came in maybe just a couple of weeks, and they were magical! Mikkel truly captured the spirit of the celebration, and looking at the shots we find ourselves back in that lovely August day of our wedding. The candid shots are beautiful and festive, and even the formals are lovely and natural. Mikkel also made a beautiful blog post about our wedding, which came handy for quick sharing with friends and family. We were truly delighted with Mikkel’s work and hope to continue working with her for other formal occasions in the future.

matched and we knew she was the photographer for us. We emailed and spoke only a few times before the actual wedding day due to the timing. She made me feel so comfortable about her skills and her vision that I had no worries the day of the wedding. She guided us through the photo session the day of the wedding and followed through with everything she promised. We were excited to see the photos afterward. It is hard to put into words the way her photos make us feel. I must admit that I shed a few tears when I first saw the photos. She captured exactly how I felt as the bride the day of our wedding. She caught so many sweet moments. Her photography is excellent! Her personality fit right in with everyone in attendance. We received many compliments about our photographer from our guest. We are very happy that we crossed paths with Mikkel and we would highly recommend her for your wedding or any event!

t is to keep everything straight. She was great from the moment she walked into the bridal sweet to the end of the evening. She immediately brought a sense of calm and directness to the day. I don't think the wedding would have been as great without her. She has a perfect mix of humor and attention to detail and listened to everything that was asked of her. Before the wedding she came to the bridal sweet and immediately brightened the room with her presence. She came in and made jokes and somehow put everyone at ease. We got some great photos from that morning. She listened to an idea I had about going down to the bar in the hotel we were at and shooting my family having a drink before we left for the ceremony. It was fun and the pictures turned out great! After the ceremony we went out to take pictures of just me and my husband and she started singing a song from Troop Beverly Hills to get me to laugh. She remembered that I loved that movie from the first time we had spoken. Mikkel even had our prints ready to view and download by the time we got back from our honeymoon. Even sending a "teaser" a few days after the wedding for us to look at while we were away. Again, not something most photographers do. The pictures were brilliant and capture the feel of the wedding perfectly. The color and lighting are spot on along with a good mix of set up family photo's and the candid pictures that are sometimes more fun to look at. Love seeing the guests having a blast during the reception. The whole time she was shooting us, my husband, who hadn't really met her until the day of the wedding, kept whispering to me "she's great". I absolutely loved working with her. She made the day so much better just being there and I would recommend her to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

ent shoot. Neither of us were naturals at first, but she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and made the process fun and enjoyable. We cannot thank her enough for capturing our wedding day in such wonderful photos. We will have these memories for life! She was wonderful to work with and put together a timeline of both when we should have touch points and a full blown day of itinerary that I was able to share with my other vendors. Her calm nature and strong project management skills helped us to remain on schedule and enjoy our wedding day. She listened to exactly what we wanted - including special shots that we didn't want to miss, making sure to grab us if needed during the evening. She somehow managed to capture everything while remaining discreet, not distracting or taking away from the environment. Her work is vibrant, playful, and modern – all that we were looking for in a photographer. We received all of our engagement photos within about 2 weeks, and our wedding photos within 4 - she was SUPER quick and reliable! The quality is more than we could have hoped for - I was thrilled by how warm and welcoming the photos felt, and how natural we looked! Ordinary objects sprang to life through her artistic eye. Our friends and family have RAVED about our photos! I cannot thank her enough for capturing our day and all of the beauty, love, and energy that surrounded us. We highly recommend Mikkel Paige Photography. If you choose her, know that you are in very good hands! I cannot wait to use her again for other life events - I already miss working with her!! Thank you, Mikkel!!! Love, Nikolas and Cara

m extremely detail oriented and wanted a photographer that I knew would think the same way - it's all about the details! Not only that, but she really, genuinely cares about you as a couple. We've worked together many times but when it was my day I assumed it'd be different - I was treating my own wedding like nothing since I had so many other brides to worry about. But Mikkel made me feel like I wasn't the wedding planner and kept reminding me that this was my wedding day and that I was a bride, and to enjoy it. She is a very positive and calming force that is certainly necessary while planning such an emotional day. She also seamlessly put together a time line and game plan and coordinated with what I'd already planned for my team to take over that day taking a lot of my stress away. One other thing that I really love about Mikkel is that she is no nonsense and gets the job done - she is stern while still remaining calm and in control of all situations. I filmed for SYTTD for my wedding day and can only imagine the stress of them all being in each other's way for the perfect shot but Mikkel facilitated things quickly and productively to ensure that she also got all of the shots that she knew I wanted. She's all about the client's happiness and truly capturing you in your element of love & happiness. Family photos can become a circus as well and she was done in no time, we even had enough time to get a few shots that were decided right then on the spot. She is wonderful with time management and will deliver the most perfect wedding photos that you will enjoy forever. To speak on the photos, they are very clean, crisp and clear. We have gotten, and still remain to get countless compliments on how stunning our photos are. My husband and I couldn't be any more grateful to have had Mikkel!!

ired her for her own wedding. The friend who recommended her was introduced to Mikkel because her sister used her for her wedding...and her sister found her through a friend who used Mikkel for her wedding too! Needless to say, her positive reputation proceeded her in my circle of friends, highly recommended by all as a great vendor to work with. More importantly, because of the circumstances, I was able to see her capture weddings first-hand at two weddings of friends before my own. Regardless of whether or not you have that unique perspective, from the first email exchange Mikkel treats you like you've been her friends for years. She's genuinely so excited to go through the wedding process with you and learn about you and your fiancé. I think people should know she's basically a wedding planner too! She has great ideas and we valued her input on details from decor to how to walk down the aisle. She understood our vision of wanting the wedding to truly be "one big party." She also believes in networking and happily engaged with our other vendors to ensure our day was cohesive. Her timeline and video chat walkthrough were more than I got from my own venue Maitre D, and Mikkel definitely put my nerves at ease on the day of. The biggest takeaway is that Mikkel captures moments. To this day, looking through our wedding pictures feels like I'm reliving it. She captures the beautiful details of the wedding but, more importantly to me, her photographs are able invoke the feeling and emotions of the day. You cannot go wrong with her candid, bright, happy, colorful style. If you're still not sure, look to see how many of her beautiful photos are featured in wedding magazines, including The Knot. She is truly talented and we are so glad we hired her. Pam + Sean

ks to her friendliness, warmth, humor, whimsy, and of course her professionalism, sense of style and skill behind the lens. We had met with a number of photographers, but nobody really clicked until - thanks to Jove Meyer, our wedding planner - we found Mikkel. I suggested an initial call since she was travelling, and she insisted we use Facetime to better connect (and did we ever!). When we met for the engagement shoot, she helpfully pointed out that she'd be the one with the pink hair and camera! We weren't terribly experienced in front of the camera and didn't really know what to expect, but Mikkel put us at ease as we wandered around the Battery Park waterfront. We were a bit nervous about affection in front of crowds, but she was understanding, patient and encouraging, and by the end of the shoot she was framing amazingly tender shots. Mikkel has a keen eye for location and perspective, and she did an amazing job of capturing us among a wide variety of Battery Park backdrops. When we saw the shots we knew we were in great hands for the wedding. Mikkel was extremely organized and professional in planning and executing the wedding, and her attention to detail was phenomenal. We met with her and our wedding planner Jove a few weeks in advance to discuss the day's events, the grooms and family shoots and other details. She also sent us a detailed checklist of things we should consider (most of which we hadn't), and she and her assistant coordinated closely with Jove both before and at the wedding. We explained early on that we preferred candid shots wherever possible and with her style and approach she accommodated that perfectly. At our request, she also encouraged our guests to avoid amateur cell phone photography, particularly during the ceremony. Despite wedding day nerves, the dressing and grooms shots were relaxed and fun, a great way to start the day. Mikkel also did a wonderful job working with our families for the family shoot, organizing various groupings based on our earlier conversations and managing certain relationship (and divorces) with a deft, diplomatic touch. And she coordinated a wonderful group shot of all 90-something of our guests immediately after the ceremony. During the reception Mikkel and her assistant were always there at the right moments, but they didn't distract at all from the merriment. And our guests loved her! We were delighted when Mikkel emailed us a link to our proofs just a week following the wedding. And the photographs are stunning, capturing our relationship, our friends and family and the whole day perfectly. We circulated them to our guests and got nothing but praise for Mikkel and her work. If you are reading this review and considering Mikkel for your event, this is your lucky day - because you've stumbled on a real talent and working with Mikkel is the best decision you'll make.

mediately apparent that she is passionate about what she does and gives her heart to her work and her clients. Finding the perfect photographer for our wedding was The top priority. I was seeking a photographer who would not only be able document the little special moments throughout the day but could also create photographs that felt like art to go on the walls of our home. She delivered on both counts 150%. I could not be happier with the Mikkel's work. The photographs are stunning. They glow with a soft fall light, render rich colors, and give off the vintage vibe I was seeking. She took full advantage of the many locations at our venue to get powerful vantage points. Mikkel understood how to arrange the wedding party to create striking and flattering portraits. She captured all the little details of the flowers and desserts that I could not relish in the day of, but now have beautiful images of forever. Her photographs of our reception were as playful and energetic as the actual event. From start to finish Mikkel's photographs communicated the feel, beauty, and love of our wedding. I truly adored working with Mikkel. She is an absolute delight as a person and a true professional. She is supportive, calming, sweet, and always on-the-ball. She listened and understood my dreams for the wedding, it felt like she was in my corner. Working with her was an easy and fun part of the process. I am so grateful that we chose her as our photographer and I recommend her a thousands times over.

k City for the past 3 years and I am a veterinary student from California but currently living in Raleigh, NC. Some of our best memories have been in New York, but on the other hand we couldn't have engagement photos without the third member of our family- our little Corgi! It was clear that we needed to have 2 shoots, one in Raleigh and one in New York City. While looking for photographers I found Mikkel Paige. As it turns out, we learned that she's based in both Raleigh and New York City! Soon after we contacted her she sent us a personal recorded video which was such a pleasant surprise- it made us feel like we were already friends. After meeting her in person I knew that she was the right person to capture Greg's and my relationship. She is easy to befriend and is simply a genuine person! Despite the struggles (on our end) of trying to schedule two shoots when all 3 of us were actually in the same city, working with Mikkel has been nothing but a positive, fun experience. She immediately made us both feel relaxed during the shoots, which is a big deal since Greg is normally pretty camera shy :o). Throughout the year or so that we have known her Mikkel has always been organized, professional, and enthusiastic (with spot-on communication). Greg and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone for their engagement and/or wedding photos!

n love with her portfolio. She was prompt in responding to our inquiry and, from our very first encounter with her, she was friendly and professional. She did a great job of building a rapport with us all while zero-ing in on what we envisioned for our day. She kept in contact as the weeks went on. When the day came, she did not disappoint. She was patient with us even when we "lost" my husband's parents in downtown traffic and ended up arriving late. She seemed very confident in the direction she was taking with our photo shoot and was keen on time management. We felt at ease the entire time. We were literally blown away when we got our sneek peek photos. The entire collection was more than we ever hoped for. We couldn't have been more pleased. The compliments from family and friends just keep rolling in. Mikkel has a great eye and is THE most awesome wedding photographer around. We feel so incredibly grateful that she was willing and able to capture our most precious wedding day memories!

e made us feel completely comfortable every step of the planning process and gave us a million ideas to incorporate into our wedding day - and we can absolutely tell you that she was right on everything! She is beyond helpful when it comes to organizing a "day of" schedule and makes sure that you get all the photo combinations of family and friends that you want to. When we had a last minute request for certain photos, Mikkel and her second photographer Peter jumped into action without missing a beat. We don't know how they did it but they were both everywhere! We were so excited to see pictures from our event and Mikkel was actually able to give us a sneak peak 4 days after our wedding (while we were on our honeymoon no less and started freaking out!) And under 4 weeks later we had ALL of our pictures available - Mikkel is totally amazing like that! And the photos are absolutely GORGEOUS! She made us feel like a million bucks throughout our wedding - keeping us laughing and happy the entire time! - and made us look so good too! She captured moments at our wedding that we definitely missed and now love looking back on. After showing them to family and friends, Mikkel's perfect photos moved our parents and many many others (even those who don't always show emotion) to tears! Mikkel perfectly captured our special day in a way that we can never repay her for - she is so so talented behind the camera! We have recommended Mikkel to everyone we know getting married in the near future. If you want a wedding day full of fun and laughter and wonderful pictures afterwards, contact Mikkel today!! - Caitlin & Greg

hat she does. Not to mention, her photos are STUNNING! My husband and I are both a little awkward in front of the camera, but she made us feel so comfortable during our engagement session so it was smooth sailing the day of the wedding. Talking about the day of the wedding - this woman knows how to work with a large group and keep everyone calm, cool, and on task! I was so thankful to have her there on our big day - she made sure everyone was happy, but also made sure we got everything we needed. Not an easy task. And she got us a sneak peek two days after the wedding! That is unheard of! If you need a wedding photographer, go with Mikkel. The service is amazing, the pictures are perfect - You won't be sorry!

s, and is really great to be around. As a bride, I didn't think about how important it would be to like your photog-you spend the whole day with them. Lucky for me, Mikkel was easily our "most likable" vendor. She was great to be around, professional, and organized. Her pricing is also reasonable. We met with several photographers-her work was much better than nearly everyone in her price range AND just as good as people charging double. We felt blessed to find her! Mikkel went above and beyond in every way imaginable and we can not thank her enough. I just saw our sneak peak pics and as expected, they were great. I can't wait to get our album. Btw, she makes cakes too!!! She is an all around creative person!
