ecommend our wedding florist for all our friends. I had ideas about Country Theme Wedding. Tatiana not only helped me come up with the perfect flower combination but also created that special country ambiance custom painting every container for the centerpieces. The reception room looked very romantic: green garlands, hanging lights, blossoming branch centerpieces! We and our guests loved it! Friendly services, wonderful arrangements, great prices! Thank you so much Tatiana!

finally walk into Your reception. My flowers for both myself as the bride And all of my bridesmaids where amazing and lasted all Night long! There was not one inch of my room that didn't have detail. ists do, and she didn't come to the walk through organized by our wedding planner to discuss details in person within the event space. As a result of her not coming to the meeting as requested, things happened that frustrated or disappointed us on the day of the event. One issue is that she had a hanging light fixture come within about three feet of the floor in the middle of our dance floor until I freaked out upon my arrival to the hall & had her team move it above our guests' heads so that it wouldn't take up so much of our limited dance space. Also, though I am Jewish & so we had a chuppah (that she did BEAUTIFULLY), my husband is not Jewish and without listening to that fact, Tatiana decided to put some of our decorations in the shape of Jewish stars, which neither my husband nor I wanted (at all). ... I know it was an attempt at a thoughtful gesture, but it just wasn't something we would have wanted had we been asked. Also, at the end of the night, there was a lot of confusion about what, if anything, our guests could take home with them, and as a result, a lot of precious flowers got thrown away. It's a real shame (she agrees!), but I don't think that would have happened if Tatiana had joined us at the walk through at the location as we had agreed on, or if she had communicated with us or our wedding planner more throughout the planning process. That being said, though, we got a RIDICULOUS amount of compliments on the look of our ceremony & reception, and without Tatiana's work, the venue would have been a pretty blah space. My mom says that every time she heard from a friend or family member after the wedding, she heard about how unique our wedding was and how beautiful & interesting the floral design work was. Everyone LOVED our centerpieces (they were just what we asked for from having seen previous work of hers), we LOVED the little vases for the high boys (with grasses shaped into hearts in the most charming way), we thought that the drapery of the chuppah was uniquely breathtaking, and that the floral sculptures that hung first next to the chuppah & then flanking our sweatheart table for the reception were totally unique and totally awesome. If I had a do-over on the gobo lights, though, I'd skip them. Also, while other florists we interviewed took our budget & added 30% to it in their estimates, Tatiana charged us slightly less than what we had budgeted for her floral design work. So, overall we were blown away with Tatiana's phenomenal designs at reasonable prices, and would certainly recommend her company to others. But, we would also give friends a heads up that Tatiana has an artist's temperament, too, and so it may be a little stressful to work with her.

n working with us to make sure that our wedding looked beautiful and didn't look like we had a small budget. To be honest, flowers were not something that I was really all that into. I knew my colors and that I wanted the flowers to be beautiful but I didn't really know how to approach it beyond that. Tatiana sat down with me and explained some of the different flower arrangement styles and what would fit best in our budget. Then she talked to me about the different flowers I could choose from. She really went above and beyond to help me with a concept and to be sure that the flowers were really wonderful. She even called me the week before my wedding to tell me that this really unique and beautiful flower (I don't even remember the name but it was velvety) was suddenly available and would look great in our bouquets and was I ok with that. I said yes and then they arrived on our wedding day and she was so right! The flowers were absolutely beautiful and really made our day special.

he color combinations - everything was perfect, and even better than I had imagined it could be. Tatiana was wonderful to work with. She was punctual and professional, and she delivered exactly what was promised. I had a very hard time making up my mind about colors and flowers, but Tatiana worked with me and was very flexible, allowing me to keep making changes even up to the week of my wedding! I couldn't have been happier with the results, and I would enthusiastically recommend Tatiana and Mila Design Special Events to anyone in need of their services.

as a centerpiece for my reception. The sample I saw included votive holders which looks beautiful. The day of the wedding I ended up with candle sticks instead of votives. This was never discussed with me and if it was i would have expressed my dislike for them. It made the room look very dated. I was very disappointed. It was challenging trying to communicate with Tatiana at times. In the beginning I felt very forced into working with her. Overall the flowers were great but the services and centerpieces were not so great.

t so upset. My initial consultation with Tatiana went well and she seemed like she knew what I wanted and what my expectations were. We had requested the entire room of the reception hall draped in white fabric and uplit by purple lighting, as well as a white floor, 15 arrangements with rental stands, 16 white hydrangeas for church pews, 3 purple hydrangeas for the cake, 5 bridesmaid bouquets, my bouquet and flower girls bouquets as well as boutonnieres for the guys. All of this was about $10,000, which is fine if the quality of the stuff was what I expected... When the flowers were delivered and I saw my bridesmaids bouquets and my bouquet I wanted to cry. After I specifically requested NO REGULAR ROSES and requested White garden roses (huge difference between the two), MY bouquet was made out of dark ivory roses and the 14 flower arrangements were so sparse I think if I did my own flowers they would've looked better! When I saw the flowers at church I had to take a deep breath and tell myself that there is nothing i can do about it now and get on with wedding. Being an interior designer I notice all details, and call me crazy but when someone is paying you all this money and its their wedding pay a little more to details - please! At church, we had two stands wrapped in white fabric with arrangements on top. One of the stands was tied with a white ribbon and the other with yellow. WHY???? The white dance floor which cost about $1600 was nothing but white VINYL tile. The only thing that saved the day (and masked the sparse, cheap looking flowers supposed imported from Holland (probably got from kennicott down the street....) was the white backdrop, purple lighting and the beauty of the venue itself and the fun atmosphere. FYI the backdrop installation was contracted out to another vendor so Mila didnt have their hands in it. thank goodness. I am SOOOOO disappointed and so upset about the service (RUDE and thinking she knows better about everything than anyone else) I do not recommend this vendor to anyone! ESPECIALLY for this price!

and said we'll work with this. She really does everything she can to stay in your budget. It ended up being the perfect flowers and I didn't have to do a thing but say I wanted Orange with some purple.

ther,I told her where the dress photos were located and I asked her to be careful not to flip to them when my fiance was looking, so he wouldn't see my dress. She flipped through to a dress photo twice, but thankfully my fiance didn't see it. I figured it was an honest mistake. She spent a lot of time trying to make sure we were on the same page as far as our vision for the wedding, and I was pleased with the flower plan we came up with. I was excited at the prospect of beautiful wedding flowers for the affordable price of around $1000 (for bride+groom, bridal party of 8, 4 parents + 3 grandmas, tossing bouquet, and two altar arrangements to be used also at the reception). Tatiana drew up a meticulous contract stating that she would arrive a half hour before the ceremony. This would have been plenty of time for us to distribute flowers appropriately. But instead, she she showed up 20 or 25 minutes later than promised. Stowed away in the bride's room, my maids and I received our flowers 5 or 10 minutes before the ceremony, as prelude music was already playing and the majority of the guests were already seated. Tatiana desperately asked my mother immediately before the processional to locate the other people who needed flowers. It is my understanding that the grandmothers did not even get their corsages before the ceremony began. Tatiana did not explain herself when she arrived late, and I as I reached for my bouquet just before the ceremony began I saw that it was not sealed on the bottom and it was dripping wet. Luckily I noticed this before it got all over my dress. By the time our post-ceremony pictures began (we took none beforehand, so I hadn't manhandled my bouquet at all), the ribbon tied around my bouquet was loose and two glued-in blooms had already fallen out. When I was on my honeymoon five days later, I received a very impersonal email with the invoice attached (which I had already paid), asking me to review and sign. Confused, I responded that I had already taken care of this. In her response Tatiana chalked this up to a temporary internet problem at her office, and said that I didn't need to pay again. The flowers themselves did look nice, and they were what I had in mind. I have to give Tatiana credit for that. But I can't believe I paid someone over $1000 for the apparent lack of quality and the disappointing day-of service. Maybe she was just having an off day-- I'm sure she is capable of doing a wedding nicely-- but an "off day" for a wedding professional is still someone's wedding day. *UPDATE* - Shortly after posting this review, I received an e-mail from Tatiana. She offered me a discount on future orders and sarcastically thanked me for my "nice review." She told me that she learned from it and would make changes to the way she distributes flowers on the event day. She apologized once more for the internet fluke that had requested that I pay my bill again, but once again she stubbornly avoided apologizing for or explaining her tardiness on my wedding day. Then, I noticed recently that the above review had mysteriously disappeared. After calling The Knot, I found out it was because I used the word "half-***ed." I have posted an edited version of my first review above, attempting to let the facts speak for themselves.

ed the candelabras and feathers for my reception. I can not tell how many of our guest complimented me on how creative and unique our wedding was. Everyone loved it. Mila did a gorgeous job and I would definately recommend them to anyone.
