Mila Lowe brings her creative energy and an appreciation for the artistry of photographic composition and style to each and every project she takes on. Her career brought her talents from Europe to this special Island where she has found the love, beauty and inspiration to thrive. Mila has had her work featured in the MV Times, The Vineyard Gazette, Art's and Ideas Magazine, Island Weddings, Edible Vineyard magazine, and in 2017 she partnered with the Martha's Vineyard Museum and the Permanent Endowment Fund of Martha’s Vineyard to create the Local Immigrants Project, a photo-journalistic exhibition of just a few of our vibrant, international community members. In the same year she was also recognized by the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce as part of their, “40 under 40”, group of promising young entrepreneurs. She lives in West Tisbury with her husband Julius and son Maxim. MILA’S FAVORITE THINGS: I love spending quality time with family and friends while cooking tasty meals, and enjoying walking trails and amazing views on the Vineyard with my husband, Julius, and my son, Maxim. I love children as much as I love photography. We have so much to learn from their joy and innocence and so much we can teach them about the wonderful world in which we live. Mila put so much thought and effort into our photoshoot. She made it feel natural and intimate. We really appreciated how she took time to learn about us and guided us through the whole process. We absolutely loved our photos! Mila is also very knowledgeable about Martha’s Vineyard and she will get you all the best spots and angles. We are more than happy with Mila and would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!

I can't emphasize enough how wonderful Mila was to work with. She took the time to really get know my husband and I before our wedding day to make sure she captured what was most important to us in a style that felt authentic to who we are as a couple. She even took notes from my inspo board to make sure we were happy with our photos. She is incredibly DETAILED and organized- did not miss a beat with our wedding Timeline. Lastly she is wonderfully talented and sees photo opportunities that many would miss. Our photos feel more like artwork from our special day and we couldn't be happier with her work.

Mila is truly one-of-a-kind. Not only were my husband and I beyond impressed, our wedding guests can't stop talking about her as well! Mila is both easy-going and detail-oriented, both well-planned and quick to adapt, and both highly professional and so friendly and sweet! And, of course, an incredible photographer with an eye for capturing real emotion. I'm normally someone who gets nervous in front of the camera, and Mila made me feel comfortable in my own skin, relaxed, and beautiful all day! From the get-go when we first reached out, she was quick to respond, super knowledgeable, and did an incredible job melding her talent and experience with our vision. She genuinely helped make our wedding day what it was. Mila sent us the photos from our wedding day so quickly, and I haven't been able to stop staring at them since! They are dreamy, romantic -- perfect. Not only did she capture us a couple, she also captured wonderful shots of our family and friends! I can't recommend a wedding vendor or photographer more highly than Mila.

Mila is an absolute all star — we loved working with her so much for our engagement photo shoot that we also hired her for our wedding. She is SO lovely to work with and brings with her an amazing sense of humor and genuine spirit that got everyone smiling throughout our wedding day. And of course, the photos were stunning— so much so that one of our friends told us they were “the best wedding photos” she had ever seen (and we happen to agree!). We can’t recommend Mila highly enough!

Mila was absolutely incredible from the moment we reached out, through all the COVID replanning, to the events themselves, to the delivery of the final photos. Mila helped guide us through the entire process, more so than anyone else. She created the run of show for the day, she helped guide us through important decisions (first look or no, schedule, shot list, etc.), and made us feel like she really cared about us as people and as a couple. She was so compassionate through the entire process. And that's not even to speak to her incredible skills as a photographer! Mila made everyone feel so comfortable the entire wedding weekend and helped everyone have a ball. Our wedding party still talks about how much they love Mila, months after the wedding. Mila went above and beyond the entire weekend, getting every shot, helping us stay on schedule, and supporting us the whole time. And the photos are STUNNING. She captured candid photos that truly show our and our guests' personalities, and gorgeous portraits that we treasure. I can't say enough about Mila. We absolutely adore her and recommend her to everyone.

We couldn't have asked for or even imagined a better photographer than Mila for our Martha's Vineyard wedding. She is the ultimate professional while still being casual and easy going. Her responses were timely and helpful, and all messages and documents are saved and accessible via her site throughout the planning process. Mila was extremely patient as we made changes to our guest count and timeline. She was pivotal in helping us map out the afternoon which also aided our wedding coordinator and DJ. Mila was always willing to hop on the phone, and even meet in person which was awesome to get to know each other before the big day. Mila blended in with our family and friends so effortlessly, and captured all of the special details, portraits, and candids we requested. She was constantly smiling, laughing and engaging guests, capturing beautiful photos of all of our loved ones - especially some gems of our 2 year old nephew! Where she really took our breath away were the stunning shots she took of me and my brand new husband post-ceremony. She guided us along and kept us laughing with beautiful poses, and stayed ahead of schedule so we could rejoin family and friends. We lucked out with a gorgeous golden hour, but I was freezing and Mila made sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself even through chattering teeth, haha. I cannot recommend her services enough. We will be enjoying these stunning photos forever. Thank you, Mila!

I found Mila to shoot some photos of me and my bridal party when we were on the island for my bachelorette weekend, June 2021. She brought us to Edgartown Harbor Light and captured some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. She was funny, flexible, and so creative. She confidently planned the perfect time and location with my bridesmaids. She entertained us and listened to our adventurous stories of the weekend all while creating perfect photos that I will cherish for the rest of my life. If I could give her 10/5 stars I would. I hope our paths cross again!

Mila was PHENOMENAL from start to finish! Her VERY affordable package deal included our Engagement session (that ran long because we were having so much fun) and a full day of wedding photography including a second shooter to capture all the little details! She even surprised us with a drone on our wedding day to capture a picture of the entire wedding! My husband and I can't say enough great things about Mila! She is friendly, responsive, and professional, and her pictures came out GORGEOUS!!! HIRE HER NOW!
