This is an amazing venue. We were married in November close to sunset and Milagro proved to be and amazing backdrop for our wedding. So easy to work with and you definitely get a lot for the price. I can't speak highly enough of the caterer or anyone I worked with at this venue. The venue also has a charming bed and breakfast on site which was wonderful for us. At the end of the night we just walk over the the B&B and we were treated to an amazing breakfast in the morning. Again, wonderful venue and I'm so happy we chose Milagro!
Words cannot express how much Laurie with Back Door Catering and bed and breakfast along with Milagro farms and the greenery made my wedding so incredibly special. my the end of the weekend I felt like laurie was my mother she was so kind and helpful!! I stayed the whole weekend it was all so beautiful from the rooms to food and decor! She even catered my dinner rehearsal and it was so amazing! All my family and guest kept saying how wonderful everything was and how Laurie's staff was so pleasant! If any Bride ask my opinion Milagro Farms and back Door catering would be my only answer 1 Love you laurie
Like all these other brides, I don't even know where to begin. My husband and I just got married at Milagro Farms on May 21 and it was everything I ever dreamed of! My husband had heard about Milagro Farms through the Greenery and after seeing it (even in the dead of winter), we knew this was it. We booked the venue and the bed and breakfast for the bridesmaids and I the night before. The girls and I were able to get up at the crack of dawn and get to work right away (after a delicious breakfast provided by Laurie). It was so worth it! It gave us a place to shower and get ready after we set everything up!
Now for our actual wedding, not only was the venue perfect in every way, Laurie and her team stepped in when our bartenders didn't show up and worked tirelessly to make sure I wasn't stressed about it! I couldn't have done it without her and her team! I wish I could give Milagro Farms more stars!
All my guests have told me it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to - it was a perfect blind of our personalities and the best party! If you ask me, it was the best wedding of all time, but I am biased.
Don't let the remote location discourage you, it should encourage you! It should be a selling point! This place is so incredibly beautiful and it's location is part of it's charm. I can't imagine getting married anywhere else!
I could go one for days about how wonderful Milagro Farms, the Greenery and Laurie are but you should just book it and find out for yourself!!
Our time at Milagro Farms was perfect! We felt like family from the moment we stepped foot on the property and the owners hospitality never dwindled. My family and wedding party stayed at the B&B, on the same property as the wedding venue, which made the weekend feel like a resort getaway. Steve and Laurie, the owners, took care of our every need and made us feel right at home. I could not imagine a better place to get married! I couldn't keep track of how many times I heard the guests talking about the venue and how elegant and charming it was. We got married in June and it poured rain right before the ceremony. Steve and Laurie were so professional and handled the situation coolly and effectively. They quickly opened the barn for the guests to wait out the rain. They got everyone refreshments and had a genius idea of using trash bags to sit on for the ceremony because the pews were soaked. I never had to stress because I knew our special day was in very capable hands. If you are looking for a venue that has it all and treats you well, then Milagro Farms is your place.
I don't even know where to start in rating Milagro Farms. My husband and I got married here on November 7, 2015 and everything was absolutely PERFECT from the day we booked the venue.
5 stars for Milagro Farms!
5 stars for Back Door Catering!
5 stars for Laurie Westlake!
First things first, if you don't choose Milagro Farms for the beautiful venue itself or the charming bed and breakfast, it would most certainly be for Laurie Westlake - she was a DREAM to work with since day one. Always keeping up the excitement of the big day even when I was stressed to the max, busy at work, and had wedding planning completely on hold! When things fell through with the my caterer, she worked quickly to put together a last minute contract with the Back Door Catering. When it rained for days before the wedding, she and her husband were out fixing up the grounds just days before to ensure guests were able get in and out with no trouble. When I got a little stressed out that the rain might not stop in time for the ceremony, she quickly came up with a back up plan in case we had to move the wedding indoors, but ensured me that she just didn't believe we would need to do such a thing (and we didn't!!).
We started our wedding weekend off at Milagro Farms the day before the wedding so we could set everything up the day before since we did most things DIY. We had our rehearsal at Milagro, dinner in Waxahachie, and then the whole bridal party came back to Milagro after the dinner to spend the night at the bed and breakfast. This was one of my favorite parts about the weekend. All my bridesmaids and I came back, put on our PJs and sat outside in the courtyard between all the rooms drinking wine and swooning over all the details of the next day. I got to spend some quality time with all of my girls in the enjoying a beautiful night oustide that I will never forget.
The day of the wedding itself was nothing short of perfect! We woke up at the bed and breakfast, and Laurie made us a delicious breakfast and we all started getting ready for all the festivities. The grounds are so charming and perfect for a rustic or shabby chic wedding. I was looking for something that would give me a relaxed indoor/outdoor/open door reception and the big sliding barn doors that opened to the outdoor bar and grassy lawn lit by strung lights did just that. Also, it was a bit chilly outside but the firepit provided just enough warmth to keep the outdoor goers warm!
Overall, our wedding weekend was nothing short wonderful at Milagro Farms - we have gotten so many raves from friends and family members about how we picked the PERFECT venue and how delicious the food was (provdided by Back Door Catering at Milagro), and I completely agree!
Thank you Laurie Westlake and Milagro Farms - you made our special day one to remember forever and ever!
We can't wait to come back and visit the bed and breakfast!
I could not have imagined getting married at any other place. Our wedding was in May, and it was pouring rain all day, however the beautiful barn made the perfect back up and every one had a great time. The owners were so sweet and helpful. We loved working with them. They were there to serve and helped out any way they could, even in the pouring rain. Our wedding photos are beautiful and so very special, largely in part to the venue that Steve and Laurie have built. There is no better place to get married than Milagro Farms!
Milagro Farms was an absolute dream. Laurie integrates love throughout the venue, but also in her service. She was incredible to work with, and went above and beyond any typical customer service. Thank you for making our wedding day the best day of our life!
Our daughter's wedding this last weekend at Milagro Farms for the Texas-New Mexico fusion was amazing. Not only is Milagro Farms an absolutely gorgeous venue to have a wedding but the support we received was over-the-top amazing! How wonderful, as mother-of-the-bride to be able to stay at the B&B, work on the wedding details, get pampered with support, and feel so relaxed while doing so! We used Back Door Catering for our "day of" the wedding lunch for the bridal party and it was so delicious! We filled up the B&B for a couple nights and we were treated so well. We had the rehearsal dinner at Milagro and the setting was a perfect place to just have some family fun! We even purchased a number of jars of their delicious peach jam and citris peach honey to give as gifts and then had to get some for ourselves, too! When you visit Milagro Farms you will feel the spirit of peacefulness. We can't thank Milagro Farms enough for helping to make our daughter's wedding such a special day!
Milagro Farms is simply stunning - from the gorgeous pergola with the wooded backdrop to the unique southwestern style B&B. I couldn't have been happier with this venue! And the owners are incredibly kind and accommodating.
My daughter's wedding was at Milagro Farms in June, 2015. The venue is beautiful and we were able to add the special touches that made it reflect my daughter and new son-in-law. Very romantic and elegant - even in a barn!
The venue was exactly what I always dream of!! The barn set the perfect mood and pergola was stunning!
