tination wedding (We lived in the west coast). We greatly valued her knowledge as she has suggestions for everything we requested or have questions about. She offers lots of recommendation that we ended up using (or not) and we value her opinions. MEH was on the ball on the day of wedding to ensure everything happens accordingly and on time despite delays here and there - down to the little things like to ensure we have time to eat. We didn't meet the MEH team until a week prior to wedding, but it was no issues whatsoever. All the phone calls / emails / skype was sufficient. Alicia and her team also allowed us to send packages (like wedding decors etc) to her so we don't have to haul it with us to Hawaii. The service didn't stop there, as we received post wedding (a month afterwards) help here and there as well. Kudos to Alicia and her team.

e thus far, my wedding day. We hired our own vendors, but handed it all over to Alicia and Jen about a month before the big day. They took it all into their hands and my husband and I didn't have to lift a finger. They were two of the most organized people I've ever met and literally thought of everything. Their attention to detail is superb, and they really took the time to get to know my husband and I though out the whole process. They completely personalized the entire experience and went above and beyond for us.
Some examples: On the day of the wedding, my shoes ended up being extremely uncomfortable...after our first dance, I approached our sweetheart table to find that Alicia and Jen had lined up an arsenal of shoes for me to choose from to replace my shoes and relieve my achy feet. Another example: We had a taco bar as one of our food stations, and a lot of our toppings had cilantro in them. Knowing that I absolutely despise cilantro, Alicia and Jen put aside toppings for me that were cilantro-free. These may seem like small details, but I was really impressed and SO thankful that they took the time to remember those things!!
Side note: A rainbow appeared over our reception site right after the ceremony ended. I wouldn't be surprised if Alicia and Jen ordered that rainbow just for us as a special touch :) just kidding. But really...they're seriously THAT good!
I don't think our wedding would have been as memorable and perfect without Milestone Events. The fact that Alicia and Jen took care of everything gave my husband and I unlimited time to spend with our loved ones and enjoy our wedding day without worrying about details. I am not exaggerating when I say our wedding day was absolutely flawless thanks to them. I would hire them again in a heartbeat, and I think you'd be crazy not to hire them!!

ndors as well as be there the day of the wedding. I researched quite a few wedding planners and when I talked to Alicia on the phone for the first time we instantly clicked! She is so nice, thoughtful, organized, easy to contact and knows the ins and outs of the industry.
Alicia provided us with a list of recommended vendors, and while I did research other vendors, we went with everyone she recommend as they truly were the best and the right fit for our wedding. Alicia made the planning of the wedding way less stressful even though I could never make a decision and emailed Alicia all the time, she always had an answer for everything!
A few days before the wedding it was announced that Hurricane Iselle was aiming to hit the island the night of the wedding. Since our wedding was outdoors, that was pretty much the worse and I had no idea at that point what to do. Well thank goodness for Alicia, she was so calming and reassuring and already had 2 back up plans in place.
Day of the wedding the weather was gorgeous, however as it approached the start time of our ceremony the weather took a turn for the worse. Alicia and her team were out in the pouring rain, making sure our reception area and our guests weren't getting wet. If it wasn't for Alicia we would have been screwed. She was there the whole entire time and everything ran flawlessly! She even made the rain stop :)

(side note: i attend a lot of weddings being a local entertainer...she is the best:) My wife had a lot of ideas for the wedding and day of, Alicia brought those ideas to life! On our wedding day she was like a highly skilled ninja who would appear to tell us where to be and how much time we had, and then pull back into the shadows to take care of behind the scenes stuff, all the while keeping an eye on us to make sure we were ok. And might i add she has an equally amazing side kick named Jenn!(they would definitely kick Batman and Robyn's but,in a wedding sense:) We really had an amazing wedding and one of the biggest reasons is because of Alicia and Jenn!!! e needed a wedding planner at first. We realize now there was no way we could have done this on our own, and we would not have been free to enjoy and participate in all the happy moments had we not outsourced to Alicia and her crew.
Alicia kept me on target with what needed to be done, our conference calls were organized and thorough. She truly wanted to get to know my husband and I as well as possible before meeting us. She sked for pictures, wanted to know how we met, really wanted her questionnaires filled out so she could gain understanding of who we were as a couple.
I didn't worry about leaving out any element of our event, after each conference call she'd email me with talking points from our call and action items. She was a true professional. That was all wonderful for us, and was a huge weight off of our shoulders being so far away and definitely worth the money spent, however, the real value in milestone events was what they did for us on the day of our wedding.
My husband and I cannot believe the service that this planner provided. They were at our venue (which was a massive vacation home we were renting and our 30+ guests were staying as well) first thing in morning, they didn't even bother us. They were dealing with caterers, and tent set up, layout, putting pool toys away etc. They were lovely with the four children involved, and assigned family members to accomplish certain tasks (have kids shower at 1:00pm etc) and kept them moving. They made sure I was relaxed and checked in with me periodically. They kept everything moving along smoothly. I simply got ready at leisure, and I was summoned when it was time. Everything was beautiful, everyone was calm, the children knew their places and the night simply flowed. I was so happy, and so moved by how Alicia and her team were able to seemingly wave a wand and create perfection. The little surprises such as the bathrooms in the home adorned with toiletries and candles, or the after party that the crew set up by our pool with drink and music and the best, when I went to get a late snack I found labeled "to go" containers in the refrigerator topped with flowers. My husband and I were so floored with the attention to detail and the realization that we never once thought about anything other then the enjoyment of the day. Alicia goes out of her way to make you feel not like a "client" she wants to understand your vision, your budget and your concerns. She is a trustworthy and dedicated

Leading up to the wedding, Alicia and her team were great--prompt and detailed oriented. On the day of a lot of things had to change because it was absolutely POURING. Long story short, everything went very smoothly all thanks to Milestone Events. In any case, even as a couple that really wanted to keep costs low, we really believe that this was so worth the money. Once we met her in person, Alicia was completely committed to making our day a success. The day before our event we found out there would be a Spartan race at our venue. I freaked out, and Alicia contacted all my vendors to confirm earlier start times in anticipation of traffic. She also remedied a stressful future mother-in-law scenario like a pro- gently reminding our families that we "were no longer answering questions" and to direct all questions to her in the 24 hours before the wedding. I could have kissed her!
Lastly, the day went off without a hitch. Alicia runs a tight ship and doesn't miss details. We could relax and have fun. She would quietly find us throughout the night and tell us what was coming up next, while we got to party. She certainly exceeded these New Yorker's expectations. You will not be sorry if you hire her!

he went above and beyond than what I expected! Since it was a destination wedding, Alicia and I corresponded over email and telephone frequently. She was very responsive! In addition, she also graciously let me ship my favors straight to her for safekeeping. We met a couple of times in person before the wedding. The first time was to review and finalize the details a few days before the wedding and again for the wedding rehearsal. I had a fairly big party and Alicia made sure we knew exactly what we needed to do. She even had print outs of reminders for the wedding party. My wedding was was as perfect as it could be and MEH played a key role in making that happen. Alicia and team, thank you again so much for all your help in making my wedding awesome!

Alicia went above and beyond and thought about so many details I wasn't even expecting. She brought her own gold chargers for our sweetheart table as an added touch, and touchup kits for the bathrooms with bug spray, etc. for our guests. She made sure we were on schedule for every event, but was able to go with the flow when the speeches went a little long (thanks, dad ;) ) and we had to move around the fire performance. We were able to enjoy every moment of our big day thanks to Alicia's awesome team handling all of the details and taking on all the stress.
She was half the price of most of the other wedding planners we had contacted, and offered way more! She is fun to get to know and has a loving and care-free personality. She is very organized, has amazing relationships with the best vendors on the island, and was able to work with us on complicated requests (ie. party buses, after party venue, spontaneous singing by the groom) while still staying within our budget. She coordinated all of the colors and style since we were in California and couldn't see everything in person, and when we showed up at the venue on our wedding day it was even more than we had imagined. Our guests absolutely loved her and her team, and we received numerous compliments about how amazing she was and what a great job her and her team were doing. We were all in awe of how perfectly it all came together.

nsidered a wedding planner but I thought of it as an "extra"-something that I should be able to do without but would be nice to have. Fast forward many wasted months and moments of sheer panic while thinking of the ordeal that had become planning my wedding- I met my saving grace, Alicia Hollinger.
I could not have imagined my big day without having Alicia there to make things run smoothly. The day flys by so fast and so many things pop up unexpectedly- who is going to open the doors for your big entrance? Did someone grab the ring bearer pillow? Plus who makes sure that YOU have a chance to eat all that great food you paid for?!? Alicia took of everything, eliminated any unnecessary stress for myself and my family and allowed me the chance to enjoy the day we worked so hard to make memorable.
Alicia spent time getting to know myself and my husband and with her knowledge of the wedding world and her impeccable taste- I trusted her completely to make everything perfect (and it was!) My new husband and I were diligently looked after and Alicia became a great friend that I trusted to take care of me on the most important day of my life.

We selected the full coverage planning option, and she did an incredible job. She is willing and able to handle all of the details for you after you give her an idea of what you envision (as she did for one of our friends), or have you involved as you would like to be and help make your precise and detailed vision a spectacular reality (as she did for us).
We were actually rather particular and needy clients, with a large wedding of 140 people. We are "foodies" and very particular in that sense, and Alicia worked with us over countless hours as we extensively designed our own menu, including signature cocktails from scratch, and dessert ideas that no local bakery had much experience making before (maple bacon cupcakes with candied bacon, etc).
There were so many things that needed to come together and that could have gone wrong, but she brought everything together seamlessly. We are still in awe of the amazing celebration she helped to create. She obviously has extensive experience, a huge collection of vendors that she has worked with many times before, and an incredible drive and passion to create a special day that is all that you are hoping for it to be. Everything for us was perfect and even more amazing than we had dreamed of, and we know that it is in large part because of Alicia and all of her help. We highly recommend Alicia and Milestone Events if you are planning a special celebration and want help taking it up to a whole other level!

th me to establish such an imperative foundation for any wedding. In the end, our theme ended being being so much more than I could have ever dreamed. We were able to combine families and show the culture of both the bride and the groom: bride being from a strong, traditional Hawaiian Ohana, groom being from a strong east coast background, graduate of the naval academy himself. I had over 100 guests fly from the mainland and overall had about 200 people at our wedding. It was gorgeous, amazing, and people still talk about it to this day. Alicia even helped us plan the rehearsal dinner that went so smoothly [80 people at a gorgeous private home with a view to die for, hula, musicians, and fire knife dancing were all apart of the entertainment]. The week itself, with so much activity can be so stressful, and so many of my friends assumed I would have a Zilla moment; but knowing that Alicia and her crew were behind me made everything so smooth and everyone remarked at how SMOOTH everything went and how stress free I was. I had Alicia To thank for that. I would highly recommend her and hope that she is honored in the highest way.

trust my instincts and the reviews I read about WC's in Oahu. I had 2 phone interviews with other planners prior to picking Alicia. Her down to earth, friendly personality was what I was looking for. She is FILLED with ideas and never once made me doubt her taste and professionalism in wedding planning. Hubby and I could not afford to visit the venue or meet with Alicia months prior to the wedding. We literally met with her a week before and everything at that point was seamless. When we saw the venue for the FIRST time on our wedding day, along with all the decorations/ set-up, it blew our minds! We (and our guests) were so impressed with how the theme/vision was put together... from the small details that Alicia thought of to all the great vendors that SHE recommended! I got pointed in the direction of Alicia and Milestone Events Hawaii by my Venue Kualoa Ranch. The only thing I knew, was that I am going to get married on Oahu, that it was going to be at Kualoa Ranch Secret Island and the Photographer I wanted. After speaking with Alicia I knew I needed her and that she would be my lifesaver which she was! She set me up with all of the other vendors that I needed and kept me on payment schedule she sent me color samples for linens via mail and was so easy to contact and go through things with. Alicia had nothing but good advice and was pleasant literally my BEST friend. I was able to send her things ahead of time like my cake cutter and cookie favors and such. When we arrived we met with her and her assistant they both were so great! The day of was more than I could have ever imagined, she made it completely stress free and went above and beyond by adding small details that she new I wanted like a starfish on the napkin and the chairs on the beach. My parents were amazed by how well she did everything and how above and beyond she went for us. When me and my father were waiting to walk out it started drizzling and I got worried and her assistant told me and my dad "that it was a blessing from those who could not be here today" my dad was so taken back by that he thought it was a great thing to say and he always brings it up. These women will be the BEST FRIEND you will ever have getting you through putting a wedding together!! I don't even want to think of how my wedding would have turned out with out them.

She has great vision and tailors the event to you. She takes care of all the small details that you might over look. We felt an easy rapport with her immediately - she understood the casual beach elegance that we desired and did not impose her ideas on us, rather she embraced our vision and made truly thoughtful recommendations. While we did not hire her to manage and select our vendors, we welcomed her suggestions and experience as we researched, interviewed and engaged different vendors. She was highly organized with a detailed planning portfolio which kept us on track and on schedule.
The MEH team on our wedding day was efficient, friendly, attentive, well-dressed and absolutely key to making our day perfect. I will never forget the sweetness of one of her staff who stood with me as I nervously awaited my walk across the lawn to the ceremony. She kept me calm and collected (we didn't have a wedding party - I would otherwise have been alone for 15 minutes until I met my brother beneath the palm trees to walk me down the aisle). We cannot say enough about Alicia and her team. I would highly recommend them to any bride-to-be. They were invaluable!

I was in great hands with Alicia, who was very professional, relaxed, and helped to execute my vision to a tee. I insisted on wooden tables because I don't like polyester tablecloths and wanted the rustic outdoor look, and she tracked down a vendor whom she hadn't used before and made it happen. She went the extra-mile for us and we cannot thank her enough!! It was the perfect evening.

Initially we communicated with Alicia via email and Skype from Australia, there is no way we could have planned the wedding on our own from such a distance. Straight away we loved Alicia's attitude and she always listened to our wants and wishes whilst providing ideas that we hadn't thought of. Alicia provided constant updates and timelines in the lead up and communicated directly with the other vendors we chose (Caterer, Music, Cake, Rentals, Photography/Videography, flowers, Ceremony venue) to ensure everyone was working as a team. Once we arrived in Hawaii we met with Jen to finalise the actual day and she had all bases covered. The actual day of our wedding and reception was genuinely absolute perfection. Jen and Alicia did an amazing job of setting up both venues and ensured that my wife and I had to worry about nothing during our special day, they made it run like clock work, we could not have been happier! In short I can't recommended Alicia, Jen and Milestone Events Hawaii enough. They were an absolute dream to work with, nothing was a problem for them and they genuinely cared ensuring our special day was the best it could be. Honest, warm and beyond dedicated, Alicia is the only reason our wedding turned out the way that it did. She understood what was important to us, and she made those things a priority. All of the details (including coordinating with all my vendors and troubleshooting problems on the day of the wedding) would have been a nightmare, but Alicia took care of everything. dding to keep it simple and less expensive. Impossible. I was completely against hiring a wedding planner. I thought they were for rich people having huge weddings. I am a smart guy though and I gave in and hiring Alicia was literally the best decision we made through the entire process. I would always go to weddings where I knew the both sides of the families extensively and wonder who is that person that the bride and groom are SO close with? It was their wedding planner. And now I understand why. I could tell you how the DJ showed up with NO music for the ceremony (seriously.. a DJ with no music) and how she had our songs memorizes and downloaded them ON A BOAT on the way to the island and saved the entire ceremony.. Or I could tell you how I feel. A) I consider her a new good friend. A better friend than some of the old good friends. B) I feel like I can call her in 2 or 3 years, tell her that I have no idea what to get Christine for her birthday or anniversary, and she'd probably pull 5 incredible gift ideas out of her head in 2 minutes. She is that in tune with her clients, and that thoughtful. I'm sure there are other great wedding planners in Oahu, but I'd bet my surfboard collection Alicia is by far the best.

My husband and I each had surprises planned for the Reception, and Alicia was able to coordinate the timing of everything so that it worked out.
