This is the absolute perfect wedding venue, especially if you love airplanes as much as I do. Even if you're not as airplane-obsessed as some of us, you'll still love this place and your guests certainly will too.
The team at the Military Aviation Museum was more helpful than I could have asked for. They were patient with my many questions, they handled setting up and tearing down the chairs and tables, made sure we had a place to get ready before the ceremony, and helped everything go so smoothly.
We LOVE this museum and being members of this museum! Before we were engaged, I came to visit my husband (boyfriend at the time) in Virginia when I lived in Ohio since he was stationed here with the Navy. We wanted to tour this place and we had the PERFECT tour guide that made everything so fun and exciting! Since then, we have come to many of the events held by the museum and see the place as a second home.
I couldn’t have picked a better place for our wedding and engagement pictures. Even though our wedding was unfortunately canceled, Mitchell still let us use the venue to get ready and have our pictures on that day! He even walked me down the “aisle” in my dress!
They’re wonderful people that work their butts off, the venue is AWESOME and so unique, and I’m HEARTBROKEN we couldn’t have our wedding with everyone here but so grateful they were so accommodating.
I’m dreaded the day we have a PCS only because we will miss the museum. ❤️
Absolutely wonderful venue!! Easy set up, love the space, and we were able to use a bi-plane as our ceremony background! Every one was so helpful!! Highly reccomend for a unique and perfect experience
A perfect venue for my daughter's wedding and reception. Mitch and the volunteers were extremely helpful in setting up the ceremony in the hanger - due to weather. Our guests raved.
Still coming down from the fun of a wonderful wedding at the MAM! Our guests loved it and many remarked that they appreciated being able to speak to the docents on hand to learn more about the history of the planes. Start to finish Mitch was wonderful to work with - professional, prompt, and one step ahead of the game at every turn. He answered each question, helped me coordinate with other vendors and the event went off without a hitch. We used the Navy Hangar primarily because of the Corsair and the initial photo's I have seen are amazing! We've become long-distance fans of the MAM and it was a wonderful backdrop to create life long memories for us, our newly blended families and friends. Highly recommend!
Wonderful experience for bridal party and guests. I have heard things such as " best wedding i have ever been to" "flawless" Timeless" etc. The only complaint I have is they kept all the frosting i had for the cupcakes. The museum cut me off.
Mark and I had our wedding reception at the MAM on June 25, 2016 and it was absolutely PERFECT. Mitch was so easy to work with as well as the rest of the staff and the many volunteer docents-thanks Craig! What a fantastic venue for a really different wedding reception. Mitch was so accommodating and I can't speak highly enough for his professionalism. If you haven't been here, you need to check it out and book a plane ride! Mark can't stop talking about it!
The staff made everyone feel great the unigness of the venue and that we could have both inside and outside. it was in the country but offered other stuff to do;I would only recommend this venue
