Mill Creek Lodge at Volland Point is a family-owned and operated establishment, first opening its doors in 2016. Since then, the team has aided couples in crafting unforgettable wedding celebrations. You can begin your day at Mill Creek Lodge at Volland Point by preparing in one of the famous guest suites located in the main guest house itself. These rooms retain an air of historical glamor, made extra luxurious with modern amenities. Here, you and your chosen entourage can prepare with the help of any hair and makeup teams you have with you. One of many possibilities, your ceremony can take place on the patio outside the lower barn level. This area overlooks Mill Creek, providing a beautiful backdrop against which you can exchange your vows. Your main reception can take place in the spectacular three-story event barn complete with space for your DJ and a dance. The hayloft area is ideal for banquet dining, easily accommodating up to 250 guests. A receiving kitchen can be used by your catering team to ensure your wedding meal is delivered in a timely manner.
Mill Creek Lodge offers a number of services to enhance your special celebration. On-site accommodations can be provided for up to 17 guests in the main house, 5 guests in the tenant house suite, and 7 more in the bunkhouse. You can include outside vendors in your celebration in order to fully personalize your experience. For the convenience of you and your guests, there is ample parking available on site.

It's such a beautiful venue, tucked away in the flint hills. It was such a dream, and we were so thankful for the air-conditioned barn for our reception on 95 degree June day. This venue had all we could want. My family stayed at the lodge through the weekend. The groomsmen and bridesmaids and plenty of room to get ready on site. And so many sweet places to take photos. Kris, the manager, super helpful through the whole process not only with the venue but also helpful in recommending vendors they've worked with before.

The entire team at Mill Creek Lodge was incredibly helpful and VERY understanding through the struggles of pandemic wedding planning. We had to cancel and reschedule two different times (making three dates) and they were encouraging and supportive through the entire process. They made our wedding day so special and enjoyable. The atmosphere was perfect for the two of us and we could not have asked for a better venue.

We knew immediately when we first saw the Lodge that it would make the perfect spot for our wedding. When we had to postpone our 2020 date an entire year, they were very accommodating and understanding - and we are so happy that we finally got our dream wedding in October 2021.
Mill Creek Lodge is a truly unique venue, we felt lucky to have found it - the website does not do it justice, you must go see it for yourself! Tucked away into the rolling flint hills it offers a large property with a beautiful historic stone house and a two-story barn. The house has been restored and thoughtfully decorated with antique furnishings and details (which make for really special wedding photos).
We made the most of our time there and held a catered cookout the night before the wedding and opted for the hayrack ride the venue offered. It was really great to see the surrounding land and we were given a ton of stories about the family who originally built the farm.
We lucked out with the most gorgeous Kansas weather for mid October, and everyone attending was just thrilled to be able to enjoy the great outdoors. We had a lot of guests who had never visited Kansas before, traveling from as far as Alaska and New York - and the drive to Mill Creek Lodge takes you through some of the most epic prairie land, it really shows off the beauty of Kansas!
Our ceremony was outside near the creek and I surprised our guests by arriving in a horse drawn carriage with my dad (another special offering by the venue, do it!) We had a cocktail hour outside on the lower level of the barn and then a plated dinner and dance party on the upper floor of the barn. It was a blast and everyone cut loose!
Definitely book the venue for the whole weekend and just enjoy making it feel like your own!

What a beautiful place to have a wedding. The venue was amazing. A ton of good backgrounds for pictures. A very nice, caring, and easy-going person to work with to make your day special. I would 100% recommend this venue to many other couples to have their wedding or any other event out there.

This venue is located in the most beautiful part of the flint hills! Venue manager, Kris, is so helpful to answer any questions you may have and with assisting on your wedding day to make sure everything runs smoothly! A nice feature of this venue, are the multiple options available in booking the multiple houses on site, for bride/groom, bridal parties, and family, to stay before and/or following your wedding day! I couldn't recommend them more. Truthfully a beautiful venue!
