Based on a recommendation from friends we hired Matt as our wedding DJ and we're so glad we did. We met with him at one of his trivia events and were so impressed with his music and industry knowledge. Matt remembers every wedding his ever done it seems. He knows the exact length of songs off the top of his head and has so much advice for anyone who needs it. After you decide to work with Matt he'll send over song recommendations for every part of your day including data from the DJ software he uses that will let you know the most popular songs to play at weddings from a large number of categories. He was so easy to work with and so helpful across the board. He also provides sound/mic support for your ceremony and speeches and he provides lighting should you need that. We loved working with Matt and highly recommend him.

Matt Forde was incredible at our wedding! He handled the mics and music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He is very professional and he did a wonderful job getting our whole crowd dancing all night long! He was a vendor I absolutely did not have to worry about, he handled everything. He made sure to play the songs my fiancé requested and field out some bad requests from our guests! Could not recommend him enough, thanks Matt!

Matt Ford recently did our wedding down in Mattapoisett, MA. I cannot recommend Matt enough!. He was one of the most professional and passionate people I have ever had the privilege of working with. He met with my fiancé and I and right off the bat I could tell we made the right decision. He provided the mics and music for our ceremony. Those worked perfectly, he took my playlist and played it throughout the cocktail and dinner portion of the wedding, then absolutely KILLED the reception. Not one person was sitting he had the place going bananas. I know I am bias, because this was my wedding, but I have been to quite a few in my day, and this one was easily one of the most fun ever. A large part of that was due to Matt. My fiancé made a list of songs, and a do not play list. We gave him the freedom to mix in some songs we missed, allowed him to read the room and play songs he thought were appropriate. Boy did he not miss. Everyone I know in Massachusetts who gets married from here on out will be getting a talking to about why they NEED to hire Matt Ford for their big day. This guy was an absolute delight to work with and knows how to throw a great party

Matt Forde was a pleasure to work with. He was very professional, provided guidance for the planning, accommodated different style requests, made sure everything was in schedule adjusting it as needed, and was an amazing MC. The dance floor was packed all evening. We couldn’t be more grateful for such a contribution to our daughter’s wedding!

We are a little delayed in writing this, but we hired Matt as our wedding DJ in August and could not have been more pleased. Not only were his prices reasonable, his value far exceeded the cost. We especially appreciated his attention to detail – including in learning the precise pronunciations of everyone’s names – and the overall care and dedication with which he approaches his work. Even though we hired him a bit last-minute, his systems made it easy on us. He gave us a comprehensive form to fill out with all of the details, including songs we wanted and didn’t want, and we had an in-person meeting and a phone call with him to go over everything. We didn’t hire him to do the music for the ceremony, because we were just renting audio equipment, but Matt saved the day when we realized shortly before the ceremony began that the equipment was never delivered to the venue. We are grateful he was there to set up so early to make sure everything was in place for the reception, since that meant he was able to move one of his speakers to the ceremony site so we could have amplification. Even more, he did this kindly and enthusiastically, even though it was beyond the scope of the job we hired him for. Throughout the reception, Matt struck the perfect balance of making announcements when necessary and helping to keep the flow of the evening going, but without being overbearing or over-the-top (which I’ve definitely experienced with DJs at other weddings). He also was adept at reading the room and playing the songs on our list in a way that felt natural and drew people out onto the dance floor when necessary. Hiring Matt was truly one of the best wedding planning decisions we made.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to use Matt from Millhouse Sound Events as our DJ and sound expert from our ceremony, to cocktail hour, dinner, and dances, through to our epic dance party. This guy is an absolute pro. He helped us craft the perfect playlists, listening to our likes and dislikes. He has a way of looking at the beats per second of songs and lining them up seamlessly. My husband and his family are Persian, and Matt was also awesome at intertwining some of our favorite Persian dance songs. We couldn't recommend him enough. Thanks for everything, Matt!

Matt Forde of Millhouse Sound Events is absolutely incredible. We recently hired him as the DJ for our wedding in October. We were able to meet with him a few times prior to the event and discuss what we were looking for. He was flexible and always quick to respond to any contact we had with him. At the wedding he kept EVERYONE on the dance floor with his music selection. We did have specific songs for the ceremony, but we allowed Matt to use his expertise to pick the music to play during the cocktail hour, dinner, and during the reception. We danced all night and were not ready for the fun to end!! He was extremely professional and so easy to work with. I would highly recommend Millhouse Sound Events!!!

I can’t say enough good things about DJ Matt Forde! He was the utmost professional from start to finish, and we knew he was going to be the highlight of our wedding. Our wedding was down the Cape in June, the ceremony was outside overlooking the beach and the reception was under a tent. Matt took the time to meet with us twice before the wedding to make sure that the day of turned out exactly how we wanted it to. He gave us a rundown/ general timeline of how the wedding would go from the ceremony, and the speeches, all the way to the last dance of the night, and he gave us recommendations of songs to use when we couldn’t make a decision for ourselves. His musical knowledge is phenomenal, there isn’t a song he doesn’t know! On the day of, Matt did an amazing job with our ceremony music, and was even better at announcing the wedding party! He made sure he was pronouncing each and every person’s name correctly and he got the crowd amped up for our big entrance. Matt was fantastic at reading the crowd and knew when it was time to slow things down or speed things up. The dance floor was packed the entire time, he played a great mix of slow songs and upbeat dance songs, oldies and new hits. No one was sitting in their seat, including my 86 year old grandmother who was having a blast on the dance floor, and everyone was sad to see the dance party end! Even the wait staff at the wedding couldn’t help but dance around as they poured drinks, delivered food, and cleared tables. We have already had guests ask if he’s available for their weddings, and birthday parties. If you want to have a dance party that people will remember, I would highly recommend Matt Forde for all of your entertainment needs, you won’t regret it!

Matt was the DJ for our wedding in Chatham in June. The ceremony was on the beach and the reception was outdoors in a tent. Everything was at a beach house that we rented and we weren't sure if the power at the house could accommodate his equipment. He brought his generator just in case to avoid any problems. Although we didn't end up needing the generator, we really appreciated how prepared he was. Matt was so much fun to work with and was extremely professional. We would definitely recommend Matt to anyone looking for a great DJ!

Matt Forde was everything we wanted! Matt allowed us to customize what we wanted and also offered his great music knowledge and wedding experience to guide us where we needed it. He was very communicative and available when we needed to bounce some ideas off of him. He really made kept our party going!

Matt was AMAZING! The music was perfect and the reception was flawless thanks to his help and his fantastic skills.

We would absolutely recommend Matt Forde to anyone who is looking for a DJ. Right from the beginning, it was very apparent that he's done this more than a few times before. He was organized, always quick to respond to e-mails, and had every detail for the night of planned out well in advance. He was great on the night of too. He was there an hour before our guests even arrived, and didn't take a break the entire night. We gave him a lot of leeway with the music selection and he did not disappoint. He read the room very well and knew what would get people up and dancing. He even managed to get people back on the dance floor after a break for family pictures in the middle of the evening. I can't recommend Matt enough. He's very reasonably priced and did a great job. Thanks so much Matt!
