Annette and Ian - the new owners - are the most amazing hosts. They go above and beyond to ensure your event is everything you imagined it to be. I was deeply involved in helping my cousin with her wedding that was held at The Millstone and did a lot of coordination with Annette on her behalf, and Annette made it so easy. She has great contacts to help pull the whole event together - she took care of coordinating the florals, the DJ, the party tent, the judge, the dishes and space for the caterers, the cake/cupcakes, the accents and decorations, and so much more. My cousin loved an area of the property that's a little walk from the main event facility - it's an abundance of wildflowers and trees - and they made it possible for her ceremony to happen at that spot with a beautifully decorated arbor, pews and chairs for guests and all the accents. And the setting is so idealic with SO many great spots for beautiful pictures. You might want to build some extra time in your wedding day schedule to take advantage of all the photo opportunities. They open up the whole house if you want it - we did - so the large bridal party was able to get ready on site. They even have an adorable apartment on the property so the bride/groom can get ready without bumping into each other. And they'll let you rent all of the spaces out for the weekend (or longer). They also offer camping for guests if you/the guests are up for it - we had some family bring their campers but you can do tents too. All said, this location ties together rural rustic beauty and high class elegance.
