I'm Mindy and I'm the owner of Mimi's Sweet Cakes & Bakes! A little about me...I'm married to a pretty awesome guy, Eric, and we have 3 kiddos-Lauren, Emma and Andrew. I started dabbling in cake decorating when Lauren turned a year old and I took a genuine interest in it. After years of friends and family telling me to make a career out of cakes, I did just that in the Spring of 2013! Mimi's is a licensed and insured home bakery. I create beautiful and delicious cakes for all occasions, but I love, love, LOVE everything about wedding cakes.

Our cake was a HIT! Everyone at the wedding said it was the best wedding cake they had ever tasted. She knocked it out of the park! And it was beautiful, exactly as I imagined! Our flavor combo was marble cake, with raspberry filling, and cream cheese frosting with vanilla buttercream!

Mindy from Mimi's Sweet Cakes was absolutely fantastic to work with from day one and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone planning their wedding! She is so kind, warm, and responsive (she usually responded to my emails within 24 hours at the most). I looked into many options and found that Mimi's Sweet Cake had by far the best pricing for such high quality cakes. Becuase of COVID, Mindy make us samples for us to try at home, which was actually really fun! We made a whole night of it and loved everything we tasted. Leading up to the wedding, Mindy was really flexible and helpful with making delusions brownies. On the day of the wedding, Mindy had made such a delicious, beautiful cake. She also delivered and set up the cake at wedding venue table. We were so happy with wedding cake! We would definitely hire Mindy again for any future events :)

I sent Mindy pictures of cakes I'd found online and she was able to do something very similar, which I loved! She also helped me make it more budget friendly by doing a 3 tiered cake and 2 sheet cakes so that we could have 3 different types of cake, all of which were delicious.

Mindy was a pleasure to work with with, not only for our wedding that we had in November 2020, but also for our reception that we had in November 2021. Friends, family, and my husband and I were able to enjoy her sweet confections twice. Due to Covid-19, in 2020 we were forced to downsize our wedding from 200+ guests down to 15. Mindy made a simple and elegant cake that was perfect for the occasion and the new Mr. and Mrs. to cut. The cakes we had for our reception a year later were just as tasty. We're very grateful that she was accommodating to our sudden wedding plan changes, provided free in town delivery, and delivered the cake well before the ceremony/party.

First of all, Mindy is SO easy to work with and she’s the sweetest. Secondly, she’s AMAZING at what she does. All I had to do was give her some ideas for our cake and she turned it into everything we wanted. Her sweet treats are simply the best. Trying all her different flavors and figuring out what flavors we wanted was my favorite part. Mimi’s Sweet Cakes and Bakes has a lot to offer! We had cupcakes and cake pops for our guests and there were barely any left at the end of the night.

I cannot say enough great things about Mindy and her desserts! She made my wedding cake, cookies, and cake pops for my wedding in October and everyone LOVED them! The cake was beautiful and the desserts were delicious. I love how she lets you sample her cake/ frosting flavors. She took my vision and definitely brought it to life! She was responsive to emails, had great suggestions, and just overall was excellent to work with!

Everything was amazing! From the tasting where we got to pick and choose our favorite flavors, to the communication which was excellent and put everything at ease, to the cake itself which was so delicious. We had numerous guests come up and ask where our cake was made as they were on their 2nd and 3rd pieces!

Absolutely the most delicious and beautiful cakes ever! Our wedding cake was simple but elegant, and the simple design belies the absolutely AMAZING taste! We went with sheet cakes for our guests - and everyone wanted seconds! Mindy helped with the design of our cake, and the whole process was so easy! Mindy did a phenomenal job on our wedding cake. We had so many compliments on how delicious the cake was, and it turned out exactly as I envisioned. We went with 3 different flavors. Mindy was so easy to work with, professional, and accommodating for when we had to postpone and lessen the number of guests due to Covid. I will be using her again for birthday cakes or any other occasion in the future! Highly recommend working with Mimi’s Sweet Cakes & Bakes for your wedding day!

Our wedding cake was honestly one of my favorite parts of the day! It was so beautiful and delicious! Working with Mindy was so easy. She responded quickly and was gracious to work with us as we had to postpone from May to August. Lucky for us we had left over cake to enjoy and can't wait to enjoy it on our anniversary (though we are thinking of breaking it out after the honeymoon and ordering a new one on our 1year anniversary!)

Mindy is incredible! Our wedding changed in scope and location due to the pandemic and Mindy helped us replan our wedding weekend desserts! The change in venue required us to drive the cakes quite a distance. She was so helpful in planning how to transport and secure them in the drive. Mindy is amazing and makes incredible cake - we had multiple compliments on how delicious it was on the day and the days following. My husband is not a cake person AT ALL and after trying her cakes it was something he was seriously so looking forward to having on the day, so I think that speaks for itself. She was so easy to communicate with and the whole process was so smooth for us. We will definitely be coming back for more of Mindy's cake in the future!

Mindy is so amazing to work with. After the first meeting my husband and I knew that she was going to be our baker. We couldn't decide on just a few flavors so we had 3 types of cupcakes and 3 types of cake pops. She was able to create the image I had in my head of how I wanted our cake table to look like and bring it to life. The cake is the best cake you will ever eat. The tasting and consultation was easy, quick, and delicious and Mindy was able to take our ideas and create a plan for a very affordable price. Mindy was amazing to work with for our wedding in 2017! We had a hint of Disney added into our special day and I sent her some ideas for an UP themed cake! It turned out more amazing than I could have imagined! We froze our full cake and unfroze it for our one year anniversary...a little scary...but the cake taste just as great as it did on our wedding day and still looked amazing! We’ve ordered a baby shower cake for my sister-in-law with a mummy and halloween theme that turned out adorable and all the Mimi cake flavors taste great! I always recommend Mimi’s to my family and friends and I will continue to use Mimi’s for all our cake needs!

Mindy, is amazing. I gave her a rough idea of how I wanted things set up. She came in and had it all done while I ran around getting everything ready for the wedding. Her work is amazing. Her cupcakes left so many of the guest asking who made them. Her work is beautiful, delicious, and reasonably priced! I would highly recommend her to anyone. Mindy has done all of our event cakes except for one and that’s because she was fully booked. She’ll go above your expectations and really add to your special day.

Working with Mindy was fabulous. She was so easy to work with and created my absolute DREAM wedding cake based off of my random combination of images. She made us a 5 tier wedding cake, with a combination of square and circle layers, and a combination of almond and chocolate marble layers. We enjoyed our top tier on our 1-year anniversary, and it still was great! We also had her make a chocolate groom's cake with a Cubs theme! Both cakes exceeded my imagination and were absolutely delicious! We are now over one year post-wedding and we still have guests raving about how beautiful yet phenomenal-tasting the cake was; most tell us it was the best cake they have ever had. I look forward to using Mimi's Sweet Cakes & Bakes for all of our future cake needs due to her ease to work with, creativity, and the delicious cakes that Mindy creates. I would recommend Mindy to any person looking for a wedding (or other) cake!

I had a vision of how I wanted my wedding cake and Mimi's created my exact vision! Everything about it was perfect, it surpassed my dream cake. I had so many compliments on it and looking back at the pictures I don't think I have ever seen a cake more perfect. Not only was the cake great, but the communication and service leading up to the wedding was amazing. We also had sheet cakes of a variety of flavors and the guests LOVED them! I can't wait for my anniversary to enjoy the top tier!

As a mother of the bride and payer of the bills Mimi’s Cakes and Bakes did a phenomenal job. Our daughter requested all buttercream on a hot August day. The cake was gorgeous and tasted so good. The bride and groom selected layers with several different flavors and our guests raved about both the beauty and the taste. The top layer was saved for their 1st Anniversary and was just as delicious as on their wedding day. I believe the cake was 6-7 layers tall. A definite show stopper. I have since ordered another special occasion cake.

Mindy did such a great job listening to what we wanted for our wedding and delivering above and beyond in cake design AND flavor! Mindy is INCREDIBLE! She did our wedding cake and it was STUNNING. I gave Mindy a photo of what I had envisioned and she nailed it. It looked better than the picture and the taste was out of this world. Guests were raving about the cake all night and I still get compliments about it to this day. Not only is Mindy amazing when it comes to her cakes, she is absolutely wonderful to work with. She made the process so easy and fun. Wedding planning can be stressful but Mindy was the best part of our wedding. We are so thankful we found her! We will be Mimi's Sweet Cakes & Bakes lifers!

After searching vigorously for the right cake vendor, we came across her website and saw that her aesthetic was the most refined and closest to what we were looking for. She was able to meet with us right away, was so easy to work with and we were very impressed with how her samples tasted. We chose her and are so thankful we did. The cakes were stunning! Not to mention, the taste we had at our first meeting didn't even do her cakes justice. I'm not even a huge fan of cake and I couldn't get enough! Guests raved about them and are still talking about it after the wedding. I would 100% recommend Mimi's for whatever event you need cake for. I will be a return customer for every occasion I have from now on.
