Maurissa was fantastic! Before the wedding, she worked with my husband and I to understand our timeline and the memories we wanted to capture. During the big day, she was very professional and flexible. She helped maintain our schedule by communicating with other staff supporting the wedding to ensure all of our precious moments throughout the day were saved. We recommend Mind of Mo to anyone looking for a photographer! Maurissa is great at making you feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Mo is not only someone that we would recommend for wedding photos. We would recommend them for all photos. If we take Christmas photos, family photos, or photos for fun we recommend them. They were excellent for engagement photos. The Photos from the wedding came out perfect. I love all of them. Not just the quality but the photographers were so nice and flexible. They knew exactly what to do and kept us on schedule. They were a huge help. Mind of Mo is the one you want for your wedding. I guarantee you will be happy with their service. They are our photographers for life.

The greatest thing that my husband and I did for our wedding day was working with Mind of Mo photography. Maurissa is absolutely phenomenal. Not only does she take fantastic pictures and has endless enthusiasm for her work but she really, truly cares about her clients. Leading up to our wedding day Maurissa took the time to meet with me in person to design a day of timeline and understand what I was wanting to capture in our wedding day photos. My husband and I are definitely not comfortable in front of camera, but Maurissa makes you feel like you have known her for forever which really put my husband and I at ease. She also not only acted as our photographer on the day of our wedding, but she also performed day of coordinator duties making sure everything was running smoothly as well as acting as my confidant. Even our wedding party was complementing her on the fact that she was so organized and willing to go above and beyond her photographer duties. I honestly could go on and on as to why you should have Maurissa as your wedding day photographer. Without her our day would not nearly have been as perfect as it was. So do yourself a favor and go with Mind of Mo photography for your wedding day. You will not regret it!!

Maurissa was absolutely a dream to work with and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera on our big day! Our entire bridal party has mentioned to us that our photographers were so fun to work with and they made everyone feel so relaxed. On our wedding day she helped to keep us on time, was a liaison between us and our reception venue when we were running behind, and advocated for getting all of the shots that we wanted to get done. Our sneak peeks arrived a couple of weeks ago and both my husband and I are obsessed with them and we can't wait for all of our pictures to arrive! We will definitely be using them in the future if we want any more professional photos done. Can't recommend them enough!

Maurissa is amazing. She went far beyond all of my expectations on my wedding day and is incredibly easy to work with and so much fun to talk to. She is an absolutely incredible photographer; suggesting many ideas I hadn't thought of, finding the most perfect natural lighting (sunset is a must!), and being an advocate during dessert and dances to get the perfect photos. Our sneak peeks were sent within just a few days after the wedding and I am completely enamored with them. I cannot wait to see the beauty Maurissa captured in the rest of the photos and will 1000% be attempting to book with her again for family photos as well as recommending to anyone and everyone in need of an amazing photographer. Maurissa was legit incredible to work with. She did an amazing job capturing our special day and is one of the sweetest, nicest, and most professional people I have ever had the pleasure of working with 11/10 and would hire again without a 2nd thought.

Maurissa and Sean helped us make our incredible wedding day happen seamlessly. They brought professionalism and their experience into our lives, had personal meetings before our event to clarify details, and made a real effort to get to know us before the day of our wedding. We booked and shot an Engagement session about a year before the wedding, and had a great experience with Maurissa then, and after some additional meetings and conversation, we felt very comfortable and prepared for photography during the wedding day. Maurissa brought a secondary photographer, at our request, to the wedding, and they split up to cover both sides of the wedding party, handle alternate angles during the ceremony time, capture both formal and staged photos as well as candid and spontaneous moments that just aren't all possible with a single person. Our photographers brought their previous experience and personality to our day, and never felt commanding or controlling. They presented great insight and inspiration, a few must have shots of their suggestion, and were always prepared to pivot and listen to us and entertain any requests we made of them.

Maurissa and Sean shot our wedding on 2/11/2023 and we had a blast working with them. Both photographers were professional, a blast to work with, and went above and beyond during our wedding day. Leading up to our wedding, I had multiple planning meetings with Maurissa, where she went through every possible detail about our day, and she also shot our engagement photos (which we LOVE). During our wedding day, Maurissa and Sean made sure every moment was captured perfect. They also got along really well with our other vendors, which made everything so easy. We just got our sneak peaks back, and they were everything we could have wanted. We give Maurissa, Sean, and Mind of Mo Photography our highest recommendation and encourage anyone who wants to work with great people and get some incredible photos to hire them!

Maurissa is absolutely incredible and I will be recommending her to everyone I know. Not only was she incredibly personable and flexible throughout the entire process, but she went above and beyond the standard. Before our wedding, she helped us understand timing and the best way to craft our photography timeline. She was incredibly responsive and communicative. On the day of our wedding, She was able to work autonomously and did far more than was required. She learned our family members' names and helped everyone arrive where they needed to be. Most importantly, the photos she took are absolutely stunning. She completely understood the vibe that my husband and I were going for and we are beyond happy with our photos. I work in the event industry and know a good vendor when I meet one. I seriously cannot recommend Mind of Mo enough.

Got married November 2022, and even though Maurissa just had a child, she was still so responsive and helpful when it came to setting up a meeting to discuss and was great about rescheduling too. The pictures she took were beautiful, she got so many beautiful pictures of the ceremony, from many angles (wide shots, great pictures of us at the altar, pictures of family). She captured the ceremony perfectly. She also got great first-look photos of both my husband and I, and knew so many great locations and poses around our venue. She also offered to help wrangle family for pictures and release tables for dinner too, which was amazing. She even got a great action-shot of me throwing my bouquet at my sister, which was awesome. She was so great to work with, and went with the flow of what we wanted to do and had no issue taking both serious and goofy photos, and got pictures of all of our decorations as well (most being DIY-ed). She even took pictures of our board game table! Not something we were expecting, but I think it shows the dedication to capturing every moment of the wedding day, which we appreciate greatly. She also double-checked with us before she left that we got all the pictures we wanted, and was willing to stay longer if we did, which we also really appreciated. Overall, I am so glad we went with Mind of Mo to capture our perfect day.

I want to say Maurissa was great to work with during our engagement session and with any questions that I had prior to the wedding. Sean and Megan were great to work with at our wedding and took some awesome photos. But dealing with trying to get my photos at after the wedding has been a nightmare and I wish it upon no one. I emailed Maurissa a few weeks after my wedding asking if she was doing sneak peeks like she did for our engagement session. She said she was skipping sneak peeks at the moment to get full albums out ASAP. She then said she would expect to have ours done and uploaded within the next week or so. I was aware that there is a 10 week turnaround but I followed up a month after her response just checking on the status. It was a bit disheartening and frustrating seeing her Facebook posts of edited photos from events that took place AFTER the date of my wedding. I also found a review posted from a bride who had a November 5th wedding who got her photos on November 10th. Due to the issues with the Pixeset emails/links I didn't get my pictures until after my 10 week turnaround when she emailed me the direct link. After I received my photos and reviewed them, there were still a good portion of my photos missing. We got that situated after numerous emails. But I still feel as if there are pictures missing and the photos provided are not an accurate representation of the full day. I feel like this end process was a bit unprofessional and stressful.

Mind of Mo saved our wedding day after our initial photographer fell through the week of! We are so appreciative and thankful for their ability to step in and show up for us. We would definitely recommend Mind of Mo to anyone looking for a reliable photography business that captures the days' memories beautifully!

Mind of Mo was AMAZING!!! They were easy to contact and work with all the way - even when we needed to postpone due to the pandemic. Our photographer, Maurissa, was more than we could have ever dreamed of! She knew precisely what to do and got through our shot list in record time. She was very helpful coming up with couple poses and fun ways to get our bridal party pics. She was essentially another 'day-off wedding coordinator' as well and was not shy about helping us round up people! Truly, there's no other company or photographer we would have wanted to work with and we feel lucky and blessed to have gotten Mind of Mo and Maurissa to help us record our special day! We've already gotten back our preview photos and the timeline for getting all of them back is very quick. We got a link where we can download all the pictures, so we can print them or do whatever we'd like with them. We also got them in full color and in black and white so we can mix and match whatever we like best. All in all, we would give Mind of Mo 10 out of 5 stars if we could!

AMAZING!! Maurissa was the absolute best! Her communication throughout the whole process was great! She found the best places around our venue to capture all the pictures we wanted. I feel like wedding pictures can get long and disorganized- not with Maurissa! She kept everyone and everything inline! It was such an organized and stress free experience! Maurissa and Sean couldn’t have been a more perfect pair for our wedding party and our families when it came to photos! They knew what they were doing and were efficient with time and well versed with helping us plan out the timing of our day to get the photos we wanted. It was the first wedding for both sides of the family for both my husband and I, so their guidance was so appreciated! Also, as a side note- Maurissa was like a fairy godmother pulling bobby pins out of her fanny pack to help pin down my veil and any loose hairs I had. She was literally like a sister to me and I was so grateful for it!

It wasn't a shock to us that Maurissa and Blair gave us an amazing experience on our wedding day as this is my 3rd experience using Mind of Mo as a photographer! Maurissa is a strong communicator and took a TON of time making sure that my husband I had a perfect day. Not only did she respond to messages in the months leading up to the wedding, she spent HOURS meeting with us in person to ensure that we had a vision for the wedding day. Maurissa went above and beyond to make sure that we not only felt good about the photos but also with other aspects of the wedding (including helping us find last minute dishware!). We had an extreme last minute change & this company became our photographer. Despite the extreme last minute, the photographer was so so friendly, super easy to work with, & so much fun! Maurissa and her team at Mind of Mo are amazing! We were referred to her by a friend that booked her. She is very professional and personable. She was able to work with us and find the moments and direct us so that we could have our personalities captured in our pictures!

My husband and I had a very small ceremony but we still wanted professional photos. Photography was actually the first thing we booked after the venue (should have been the hair stylist- but that’s a different review). We were beyond thrilled with Megan and Mind of Mo Photography. They travelled to our venue, which was about 20 miles outside the Twin Cities- they also go all over Minnesota, which is amazing! Megan was extremely responsive and supportive. I had no idea what I wanted, just what I didn’t want. Megan didn’t make me feel like I need to prepare any more than I already had and she took care of everything. She was punctual and even helped calm me down in the bathroom (mild hair meltdown). She took every photo that I wanted and got a lot of really unique photos that I wouldn’t have even known to ask for. My husband and I were so happy with our experience on our wedding day that we talked about having Megan come back for our anniversary- before she even left our wedding! Highly recommend this vendor!!

I found Maurissa and Mind of Mo at a bridal fair in the very beginning stages of planning. From the get go I was so excited to work with her. Maurissa was unavailable for our date, but Morgan was available. About 3 months before the wedding it became obvious that we would have to rethink our day based on restrictions and generally feeling safe. Beyond my planners, Maurissa was so compassionate and understanding. She could tell how stressed I was with all of the changes, and remained dedicated to being a constant for me. She cares about the couples she works with so deeply. I was excited to have Morgan come out and shoot our day because I have no vision. The only important thing to me was to have memories of my favorite day captured. Not only was Morgan nice and personable, he went with the flow. He was ready to change things up when needed and still managed keep us on schedule. My sweet husband did not have many opinions about vendors or the process, but the entire day and after he has kept commenting on how great Morgan was and how nice it was to work with him. Having Morgan shooting our day will remain a positive memory of one of our best days. Whether you get to work with Maurissa or anyone at Mind of Mo, I can confirm you will be taken care of.

If you are looking for a fantastic photographer, Maurissa truly goes above and beyond! Maurissa and her team have been great to work with, they are so flexible and willing to work with whatever I needed- even if it wasn’t related to photography! She has a great attitude and is very pleasant, even guests and other vendors commented on how incredibly nice Maurissa was! Maurissa was nothing short of amazing to work with! We did our engagement photos with her and immediately know we wanted her to shoot our wedding as well! Two things that caught my eye with Mind of Mo when searching for our photographer: affordable packages and no travel fee for our engagement shoot in Duluth. My husband and I had our first date on Duluth so wanted to take our engagement photos there, which we were easily able to figure out with Maurissa already being up there to shoot a wedding that weekend (fall 2019). Fast forward to 2020 when things got crazy. Maurissa was amazing with keeping my husband and I feeling confident that we would still have a photographer (Maurissa did our wedding photos in July, then Rafi did our reception photos in October). We had an abundance of compliments on Maurissa's exceptional service, courteousness, and timeliness. She loved all of our ideas of what we wanted in our wedding and making sure everyone was comfortable. She is a rockstar (seriously photographed our wedding while she was wearing a KNEE BRACE!!). I have no doubt we will work with her whenever we can in the future (she does mini sessions of all kinds and is starting to do boudoir shoots). I heard horror stories of photographers of other couples losing photos or never getting pictures back to them....NEVER did we once have to worry about that with Maurissa! She is on top of her "sneak peak photos" game, and even when life gets hectic for her she's honest and will let you know if she's running a little behind in the most apologetic way. she cares about EACH of her clients and we cannot thank her enough for all she's done for us. *I forgot to mention our wedding and reception were both in White Bear Lake.

Like so many others, the pandemic turned our wedding plans upside down and inside out. Mind of Mo Photography couldn't have been accommodating and flexible with us as we navigated rescheduling our wedding. We ultimately decided to have a small ceremony in July and a vow renewal next year, both of which Mind of Mo graciously said they said they would be happy to photograph as part of our original package. Our small ceremony took place in a park. Fate threw us one more curveball and sent a small rain shower to cap off an already very hot and humid day. Our photographer, Sean, was an absolute trooper! After the rain passed, he shot our ceremony and made quick work of our family photos afterward (we were very grateful because it's safe to say everybody was ready to find some air conditioning). Both of our families were impressed with his professionalism and positive attitude! Our experience with Mind of Mo was fantastic, and we can't wait for them to photograph our vow renewal ceremony next year!

Where do I even begin! Maurissa, Allie, and Lyndsey were an absolute joy to work with! Not only did Allie do a great job with our engagement pictures, but Maurissa even helped with giving me her professional opinion on a lot of little details for our big day! Oh and can’t forget that Allie and Lyndsey were not only photographers, but basically personal attendants on our big day (even bringing a hangry bride lunch on their way to the venue!) I cannot say enough great things about Maurissa and Mind of Mo! She (and assistant photographer Lyndsey) made our day so seamless! I can honestly say that Maurissa played a very large part in my ability to stay calm and enjoy the day without any stress! I don't even know where to begin with singing the praises of Mind of Mo, and Maurissa in particular! Short version: Mo and her team are AH-MAZING. They have skills out the wazoo, don't over-edit photos, and are generally enjoyable people to have around! 💯 out of 💯 - absolutely recommend! Longer version: I'm not someone who enjoys having my photo taken - at ALL. Initially, I was absolutely dreading the photography portion of planning a wedding and getting married.... but then ✨we met Maurissa✨ at a wedding show! The plan that we shared with her for our wedding was a little off the wall (🎃 Halloween, complete with costumes) and she was SO ENTHUSIASTICALLY on board to go right along with our brand of weird! Zero pushback or judgment - she was team "our plan" from the first moment! Our engagement session was cut short by some ice... but we got 45 AMAZING photos in that first 10-15 minutes (and she wanted to keep going!) That's some superhuman stuff right there! Fast forward to spring of 2020 and COVID throwing everything into absolute chaos in wedding world. 😖 Through all of the madness in readjusting our plans, Maurissa was incredibly understanding and kept us constantly in the loop. Day-of, Maurissa showed up right on time and helped to keep the mood light (instead of letting me get stressed and worked up), captured all of the perfect moments, and was a great guest to have present and a spectacular part of our wedding crew who impressed everyone present with her professionalism and personality! Our final pictures are all stunning, perfectly reflect our personalities and our day, and don't look at all forced, posed, or edited to the point where we don't recognize ourselves. All the praises go to Mind of Mo Photography!

I loved working with Maurissa and her assistant Morgan! They were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process from planning out our day to capturing many memories from our wedding day! Maurissa was everything a bride could ask for on her wedding day. She always had a plan for everything which made the day go so smoothly when you are flooding with so many emotions. We hired Mind of Mo Photography for our wedding and a year and a half later we had Maurissa take maternity photos for us. We are so pleased with the photos from both the wedding and maternity session and Maurissa, Sean and Morgan were all spectacular to work with. We could tell they really put thought into our day and made it all about us; it's evident they love what they do and are such a good support throughout the process. They helped us keep the day on track so we didn't have to worry about timelines at all. She was there everytime I needed her and always checked in since we had a long engagement. Her and Rafi really go above and beyond to help their couples. There were several runs to find where the boutonnieres were. They were both amazing with the young kids in the wedding party. The thing I'm thankful for the most is how on the day they ran everything by us and let it be our decision. They listened when we wanted a few minutes together and the were wonderful about letting our other vendors know our decisions. My biggest example was that we were ahead of schedule and everyone was wanting to move on to the next thing but Maurissa would find us and say hey what do you want to do. We could start dinner early or you can extend social hour. It was nice having someone that had our back and made us feel like we were important and not rush us so they could get out early. We had a lot of fun taking pictures. Rafi and Maurissa got there early so they could scout out perfect picture spots and check in with us. All in all Maurissa and her crew are fantastic to work with and I wish we could do it all over again. I can not thank them enough for everything they did to make our day so wonderful
