Mind of Mo Photography offers classical, elegant, personalized Engagement and Wedding Photography. We have been working in the wedding industry since 2014 and we bring a fresh, fun, and unique approach to your wedding experience, providing couples with much more than simply photos.
With five full-time photographers on staff, Mind of Mo has the experience and availability to make your wedding day unforgettable. With an eye for detail and candid moments, our family run business aims to treat your wedding day with as much love, devotion, and care as you do. Mind of Mo Photography proudly serves Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the general Midwest, as well as destination and elopement-style weddings.
Our style continues to be relaxed, laid-back, and candid - our edits are natural and we believe brides and grooms take the best photos when they are relaxed and having fun!
We offer photography services at affordable rates and work with custom-built packages so that any bride who wants to use us for their photography, can. We don't believe that couples should have to sacrifice the quality of their wedding photos because they want to stick to a budget! Because of this belief, we offer payment plans and flexible deposits for all of our couples.
Our personalities are what our clients love most, and we believe that we bring a good energy and calming presence to the weddings we photograph. We would love to hear more about your wedding plans, and discuss building a package that is perfect for you.

Leading up to our wedding day Maurissa took the time to meet with me in person to design a day of timeline and understand what I was wanting to capture in our wedding day photos. We booked and shot an Engagement session about a year before the wedding, and had a great experience with Maurissa then, and after some additional meetings and conversation, we felt very comfortable and prepared for photography during the wedding day.
Maurissa brought a secondary photographer, at our request, to the wedding, and they split up to cover both sides of the wedding party, handle alternate angles during the ceremony time, capture both formal and staged photos as well as candid and spontaneous moments that just aren't all possible with a single person.
Our photographers brought their previous experience and personality to our day, and never felt commanding or controlling. They presented great insight and inspiration, a few must have shots of their suggestion, and were always prepared to pivot and listen to us and entertain any requests we made of them.

Leading up to our wedding, I had multiple planning meetings with Maurissa, where she went through every possible detail about our day, and she also shot our engagement photos (which we LOVE). During our wedding day, Maurissa and Sean made sure every moment was captured perfect. They also got along really well with our other vendors, which made everything so easy. We just got our sneak peaks back, and they were everything we could have wanted. On the day of our wedding, She was able to work autonomously and did far more than was required. She learned our family members' names and helped everyone arrive where they needed to be. Most importantly, the photos she took are absolutely stunning. She completely understood the vibe that my husband and I were going for and we are beyond happy with our photos. I work in the event industry and know a good vendor when I meet one. I seriously cannot recommend Mind of Mo enough.

The pictures she took were beautiful, she got so many beautiful pictures of the ceremony, from many angles (wide shots, great pictures of us at the altar, pictures of family). She captured the ceremony perfectly. She also got great first-look photos of both my husband and I, and knew so many great locations and poses around our venue. She also offered to help wrangle family for pictures and release tables for dinner too, which was amazing. She even got a great action-shot of me throwing my bouquet at my sister, which was awesome.
She was so great to work with, and went with the flow of what we wanted to do and had no issue taking both serious and goofy photos, and got pictures of all of our decorations as well (most being DIY-ed). She even took pictures of our board game table! Not something we were expecting, but I think it shows the dedication to capturing every moment of the wedding day, which we appreciate greatly. She also double-checked with us before she left that we got all the pictures we wanted, and was willing to stay longer if we did, which we also really appreciated.
Overall, I am so glad we went with Mind of Mo to capture our perfect day.

edding and took some awesome photos. But dealing with trying to get my photos at after the wedding has been a nightmare and I wish it upon no one. I emailed Maurissa a few weeks after my wedding asking if she was doing sneak peeks like she did for our engagement session. She said she was skipping sneak peeks at the moment to get full albums out ASAP. She then said she would expect to have ours done and uploaded within the next week or so. I was aware that there is a 10 week turnaround but I followed up a month after her response just checking on the status. It was a bit disheartening and frustrating seeing her Facebook posts of edited photos from events that took place AFTER the date of my wedding. I also found a review posted from a bride who had a November 5th wedding who got her photos on November 10th. Due to the issues with the Pixeset emails/links I didn't get my pictures until after my 10 week turnaround when she emailed me the direct link. After I received my photos and reviewed them, there were still a good portion of my photos missing. We got that situated after numerous emails. But I still feel as if there are pictures missing and the photos provided are not an accurate representation of the full day. I feel like this end process was a bit unprofessional and stressful.

Truly, there's no other company or photographer we would have wanted to work with and we feel lucky and blessed to have gotten Mind of Mo and Maurissa to help us record our special day! We've already gotten back our preview photos and the timeline for getting all of them back is very quick. We got a link where we can download all the pictures, so we can print them or do whatever we'd like with them. We also got them in full color and in black and white so we can mix and match whatever we like best.
