Mindy shot the wedding of my son recently and I must say it was a wonderful experience! She had everyone so relaxed and having such a good time we didn't even realize she was taking pictures! Nothing seemed unnatural, rather it was so candid and authentic. Mindy was able to capture each moment almost by magic! I can not recommend her any more highly! We have already reserved her for the christening of our next grandchild!

First things first: I hired Mindy for our wedding ceremony in September because I fell in love with her photos after viewing her portfolio (if you haven't taken a look yet, I highly urge you do so). Mindy's photos look so natural and gorgeous, and when you look at her photographs of couples you can tell that they feel comfortable and with her, there's no awkwardness. I am so glad we went with Mindy, and I really don't think I can adequately describe how pivotal her presence was for our wedding and how much we enjoyed having her as our photographer. The day of the wedding, Mindy went above and beyond her call of duty. I had a rustic barn wedding, and I didn't have a wedding planner or day of coordinator. Mindy was able to keep us on track the entire day and made sure that we got the shots that we wanted. Although we were running behind in the morning, Mindy was able to get a first look photo shoot for us, something I am forever grateful for especially after getting the photos back, squeezed in our sunset photos, and she also somehow managed to wrangle our large, rowdy wedding party together for group photos while still being professional. At the end of the night, she even helped us clean up (Which just goes to show what a wonderful person she is)! I highly recommend booking Mindy if you want a stress free wedding, someone to anchor you during the chaos of the day, and if you need some backup to keep things going; you won't regret it! Addendum: After receiving the photos, I've got to say that they're just gorgeous; the coloring, the moments that she captured, and the way she captured them are just beautiful.

Mindy is AMAZING... My husband and I are definitely not the "formal photo shoot" type of couple... the sheer thought of it made us uncomfortable... but Mindy made it 100% painless. She kept us and our wedding party laughing the entire time, which not only made the situation easy, but also made the photos look amazing... such natural smiles!! When planning our wedding, Josh and I decided that one of the most important things to us was the photographer. We came across Mindy, met with her, and knew we absolutely needed her to be our photographer. She did our engagement pictures, which were stunning. I met Mindy Sue when she photographed my best friend's wedding. She was FANTASTIC, and when I got engaged, she was the first person that I called. She is great at what she does, personable and FUN. With the distance we were only able to meet and speak a couple days before the wedding but Mindy was more than willing to accommodate my requests and created many beautiful shots of our wedding day and reception that we will cherish, display, and show off for many years to come.

What an amazing experience from start to finish! We are about 10 months married and I still look back on one of Mindy's amazing photos almost daily because they take me right back to that day and make me so happy. Mindy Sue was absolutely amazing and I'd hire her again and again. Everyone who looks at our photos comments on her artistic eye and unique photojournalistic style (her black & white photos are to die for too)! I liked how Mindy took charge of the day and ensured we stayed on track and captured all of the photos I wanted in a timely manner so I felt like I was able to still enjoy my day without having to worry we weren't making use of our time with her. We had the pleasure of working with Mindy for our engagement photos and our wedding photos. I cannot stress enough how AMAZING Mindy was for our wedding. First of all, it was really important to me and my husband that we get engagement pictures in Columbus. Mindy was very accommodating and the pictures came out beautifully. She really captured exactly what we wanted and helped us (especially me) be more comfortable in front of the camera on the big day. Mindy Sue is a diamond in the rough. Of all the photographers we looked into, we couldn't believe Mindy was still available for our date! Once you've decided that Mindy Sue is the photographer for you - I HIGHLY recommend you have her shoot engagement photos. In our case - we got to see that Mindy was versatile in crazy weather - excited by grabbing great shots - and just genuinely fun to be around. For us, it helped that we all got a chance to show our personalities. On the wedding day, we again had extremely variable weather, and Mindy was ready for it. In an hour and a half of sunshine between raindrops - and then torrential rain - we've got an album full of a WIDE range of shots. Mindy was great at making both of us feel comfortable - which shows in all of the photos she was able to capture. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mindy! From the moment we met for our engagement session she made us feel like old friends. It was this comfort that made for some of the best shots. Mindy did such a fantastic job with our entire wedding. I hate having my picture taken and I definitely don't feel comfortable in front of the camera, but with Mindy everything felt much more natural. It didn't feel awkward or forced. My husband and I scoured the internet looking for a wedding photographer who would capture our special day in a romantic, sentimental way. It was challenging to find a "Cleveland" photographer with a vintage style and who would be willing travel to Mineral City, OH, to take our pictures. Luckily, we were referred to Mindy Sue by another wedding photographer, and as soon as we saw her pictures online, we knew that we had found the perfect photographer. Beyond finding a photographer who takes romantic, elegant wedding pictures, it was important for us to establish good communication and a positive, working relationship, especially because we live in Atlanta, GA. Mindy Sue exceeded our hopes and expectations in that regard. We first "met" on the phone to discuss the logistics and other details about the wedding day. Mindy Sue also welcomed the idea of sharing our ideas on Pinterest so that she could see the types of wedding pictures were drawn to for inspiration. Despite the distance, I felt connected to Mindy Sue and confident that she would take awesome pictures rain or shine. And it did rain on our wedding day. Although we were a little frazzled by the weather conditions, that did not deter Mindy Sue for one second. She reassured us that no matter what, she would be able to take beautiful pictures for us. We just needed to trust her. So we did. It was easy to trust Mindy Sue because she is so upbeat and enthusiastic. She is a natural at making brides and grooms feel comfortable - I think that's key in taking good photos. She's also witty and downright adorable. I felt like we were pals throughout the day. She was a wonderful addition and key player at our wedding. Our wedding pictures clearly demonstrate Mindy Sue's photography skills and style. Our pictures also reflect Mindy Sue's beautiful character. With her support and encouragement, we could show our love and affection for each other in a natural way. And we all had fun, too. I think that's why she was able to capture a full range of emotions throughout the day. Simply put, we felt at ease and could be ourselves around her. My wedding day was perfect! It was amazing, fun, and way too short! It was just 3 weeks ago so we are still obsessing over details and wishing we could do it all again and experience it over and over! But since that would be silly...we are ecstatic to have had an amazing photographer to have captured our day! So we can sit down and stare dreamily at ourselves and our favorite people and relive the perfect moments! Planning an out of state wedding was really awful, (I highly recommend you get a wedding planner if you find yourselves in that position) We live in nyc and were married in youngstown, and because I was planning everything myself, I would fly in for a day and meet with eight thousand people, then fly back. This puts a ton of pressure on your decisions, because there are no follow-up meetings, there was no time for second thoughts. (So basically I was a nervous wreck leading up to meeting with vendors.) I met Mindy and there were no nerves! You sit with her for a second and instantly want to be her bff. Going with the whole theme of Love and marriage... When You Know You Know! I knew right away she would make us comfortable, we would enjoy having her with us on such an important day, and of course most importantly- We LOVE her style. Nathan and I wanted a mixture of candid, artsy, unique and beautiful photographs that we could hang on our walls and not look cheesy! Mindy's work articulates all that we were looking for. And again, she is so darn sweet! We had guest after guest comment on her ability to integrate into the party, observe, sometimes step in and direct us, and reign us in at times! It was magical and special and fun and perfect! It's difficult after all of the build-up, when it is back to reality, to not be able to scream thank you from the roof tops to all the people who played a role in such a special day. So this is me screaming, MINDY YOU ROCK! We could not have been more pleased with your work or the overall experience. P.S. My husband doesn't like anyone, and even he wants to be your bff :)

Before I start, I am the kind of person who thought we could just give my friend our camera and he'd grab a couple shots and we'd call it good. Please please don't think like I did. I did give him the camera and it would have turned out to be a disaster of the best day of my life! My wife had our pictures taken by Mindy Sue Photography for our wedding and since that day I can honestly say there is not a better photographer out there. She is seriously worth every penny! Where do I start. Her style is unique and doesn't make anyone look awkward or out of place. Everybody looks natural and beautiful. She has never let us see a picture of us looking bad, she knows what goes into making a wonderful photograph. She is incredible with children. She got both of our kids (one in an awful mood) rolling with laughter. Shes very professional. Her equipment was very nice, new and well taken care of. The editing is gorgeous, and we all looked clean, and happy. She got everything done on our time limit, and most importantly she is an enjoyable person and made it a fun experience that we were happy to have memories of! We haven't gone to anyone else since that day and she will always have our business!!! We give her two thumbs wayyyy up!

Mindy was a wonderful photographer! She had a contagious personality, knew exactly what to capture, and never missed a beat. Leading up to the wedding she was a joy to work with. She helped me determine the order of the wedding day and gave little creative ideas along the way whenever I asked. She was always only a phone call or email away and responded quickly. Very talented, patient and service-oriented photographer. My husband and I thought we would be so uncomfortable taking pictures for our wedding, but we hardly noticed anything but each other. We worked with Mindy Sue to document our wedding in June 2012, and the whole experience was phenomenal. Mindy did a great job of communicating with us prior to the day to understand what was important to us, how we wanted her to interact with us and our guests, and what we most needed from her (and her online portfolio made us very comfortable that we would mesh stylistically). In addition to the standard wedding shots, she worked with us to capture full family shots (including one that probably had at least 125 easily distracted folks in it). Mindy particularly showed a talent for capturing both little children and little details on film. She was also equally adept at close range shots and some gorgeous panoramic views of the beautiful outdoor setting. Mindy also did a great job of being present enough that we could find her if we wanted something specific, but unobtrusive enough that nobody felt as if s/he was being paparazzied. Finally, Mindy provided us with an online preview very quickly after the wedding, and we were very pleased with the quality of the images and photo DVD she provided. I loved the uniqueness and genuineness that her pictures illustrate. She does not do the cookie-cutter shots that I have seen some many photographers do, and that was never appealing to me when looking for a photographer for our wedding. I love the angles and risks that she takes, no picture is ever the same, and it is not the “expected” or typical wedding picture. When comparing our pictures to others, I am so appreciative of her work and that we had the opportunity to work with you. Ben and I never had a lot of pictures together, so it was so special to me that those taken at the wedding really documented our love in a real (uncheesy) kind of way. And you were certainly able to do that for us. Mindy came highly recommended from our venue (The Oak Lodge). That in itself with your website/blog were enough to make a clear and firm decision that we had to work with her! Again, I love her funkiness, quirky, and fun approach. I thought I would be really uncomfortable with the whole picture and photographer in my face just due to my own insecurities. She never made me feel that way at all. She complimented me the entire time, and really made me feel comfortable. Ben is really hard to strap down to get him to behave, and Mindy was able to do that. I look at the wedding pictures and think they are so flattering of the both of us, our family, and friends. You can tell from the pictures the story of that day. I love that. The only thing I can say is that I would have loved more pictures, because I was so happy with the quality of those you did. She did an amazing job and was easily accessible to us through phone and email. We were more than pleased with the results and can’t wait to work with her again in the near future!

Mindy is amazing. Nothing less. Her work is so well thought out, REAL, and beautiful. She gets all the pictures that are "musts" ie) posed family shots, bridal party, grandparents, and they are so well edited and gorgeous ... but she goes above and beyond with her candids. She manages to capture emotion, laughter, tears, all the small details in the work she is doing when you don't even know she's doing it. She is so sweet and fun but makes sure she gets everything that you want while doing it. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
