If I could give Mine Oyster 10 stars, I would! Our wedding weekend was everything we hoped for and more, and so much of that is thanks to Ralph and Elena. We had guests travel from Texas, Oklahoma, and Montana, and everyone  told us it was not only the most fun wedding they had ever attended, but also the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The weekend kicked off with a lobster bake at our Airbnb the night before the wedding. Ralph and his team showed up with a roaring fire and cooked fresh lobster, clams, mussels, and corn right on site. We even had a bartender serving drinks while everyone relaxed and got to know each other. It was such a fun and uniquely Maine experience. After the lobster bake, we hosted our rehearsal dinner at Ralph’s other restaurant The Boat House Bistro. We enjoyed a wonderful variety of tapas and the most delicious blueberry pomegranate sangria. Our ceremony and cocktail hour were held on the pier at BBH Shipyard with the ocean and sailboats behind us. It was absolutely beautiful. Guests enjoyed oysters, sushi, and drinks while taking in the view. Then we headed to Mine Oyster for the reception, where the food was incredible. The risotto, prime rib, and lobster were all outstanding, and people are still talking about them. After dinner, everyone danced the night away to Tickle, and the next morning we wrapped up the weekend with a farewell brunch at Mine Oyster with Bloody Marys, mimosas, and Eggs Benedict. Looking back, what stands out most is how easy Ralph and Elena made everything feel. They genuinely care, they know how to throw an amazing event, and they made the whole weekend feel warm, personal, and stress-free. Thank you guys!

I am the father of the bride! Ralph and his wedding crew catered a sunset cruise for 100 people the night before the wedding. The offerings ranged from the freshest of oysters and a bunch of other seafoods to freshest of fruit and chesses laid out like a delicious bounty. There was a lot of stuff too that our guests raved about. On the wedding day, Ralph executed the most amazing reception dinner that any guest had ever eaten. He brilliantly set up in the middle of the reception, under a big tent on the ocean, the wedding party table of 30 people. It was a formal plated, 8-course meal that was prepared perfectly, served seamlessly and executed almost to the minute as scheduled. Our 150 other guests were seated at rectangular tables all around the center table. The food that was served to the other guests flowed in family-style, all you can eat servings. The gorgeous chicken was followed by the amazingly fresh baked haddock, which was followed by gorgeous steaks, only to be rounded off with perfectly cooked steamed lobsters. From the clams to the brussels sprouts, the side dishes were out of this world and more numerous than could be counted. Many of our guests said it was the best meal they had ever eaten in their lives, never mind at a wedding. The dessert tables were of the same caliber as the meal itself. The next morning, he prepared a three hour open brunch so delicious and relaxing that our guests didn't want to leave. From the setup, to the staffing, to the conclusion, I don't think a better job could've been done. I can't recommend any more highly having your wedding catered by Ralph and the folks at Mine Oyster Catering.
