Jill helped us navigate and blend so many different wishes for our wedding ceremony, like balancing religious and non-religious elements. My husband’s family is Spanish-speaking, and Jill helped us infuse some bilingual elements into our ceremony, as well — even learning some Spanish herself for our vows! At her suggestion, we honored both of our parents with a rose in honor of their longstanding marriages, and that was one of the most special parts of the ceremony, very meaningful and unique. My most favorite part of the ceremony was the Love Story. Jill worked with us separately as we wrote out answers to some questions about our relationship, and then Jill fused our stories and told them in real-time during the ceremony, keeping our reflections private from each other until that moment. It was so touching and special, and felt so meaningfully true to our story. She nailed it!
It was incredibly helpful to have Jill present at our rehearsal the evening before. She was very efficient and took control of our chatty bridal party of 16 people, ensuring we ran through every detail and felt prepared for the wedding day. Throughout the entire planning process, whether via Zoom or email, she helped my husband and I feel at ease and understood. Jill has a special gift, and we are so grateful that she shared it with us. I could not have imagined a more perfect ceremony.

The guide booklet that MN Officiants provides is so helpful as a “choose your own adventure” for customizing a ceremony that feels right to you as a couple. Cara was also so great in coaching us as we wrote our own vows (right up to the last minute - eek!). Just the right balance of encouragement, nudging and patience! She took the time to get to know us, our likes and dislikes, and our hopes for the occasion, and then she provided us just the right amount of help to pull it all together. She suggested a basic framework for the ceremony and then let us fill in as much of the content as we wanted. ntire ceremony with very little input from Jennifer. She didn't provide very much help or feedback to me. Jennifer had my husband and I each answer three questions, and she told me she was going to put those answers into a "love story." I was expecting that part of the ceremony to be more of a story, but instead she just read our answers word for word and it didn't feel as special as I was hoping. The part of the ceremony that I am most upset about is when she was announcing my husband and I, she pronounced our last name wrong! She never once asked either us how to pronounce it, and on the wedding day it wasn't something that I even thought about with everything going on. So now when we watch our wedding video I have to relive that moment. Not happy!
