Tim knows Chanhassen Dinner Theatres inside and out. They did the sound for our ceremony and worked with our videographer to support microphones for staging, recording, and live-streaming. He also gave us fantastic suggestions for our ceremony processional, as well as photoshoot spots for our photographer. Tim thinks of every detail that can make your day magical and does their best to deliver on it. His music choices and mixings were incredibly fun and he helped keep everyone dancing for hours. An additional note: we are an LGBTQ+ couple and Tim always made us feel respected and valid. They are simply an amazing human being that truly cares about their clients. Seriously, any couple looking for a wedding DJ: book Minnesota Wedding Party. You won’t regret working with them. We definitely don’t. :)

ss. Tim was very responsive by phone and text while planning and gave me some great ideas when I was at a loss picking out songs for certain parts of the ceremony and reception. He has top of the line equipment and everything came through so clearly for both our ceremony and our reception, even my dad who is a total audio nerd was impressed! My uncle was our officiant and he was also very impressed by Tim and thankful for his help and preparedness prior to the ceremony. I added in a couple of readers very last minute and forgot to tell Tim but he came prepared for everything and it ended up working out perfectly! Tim also was able to make 2 very special things happen for us. We were able to give him a jump drive that had a speech my late grandfather did at our original backyard wedding on it and he was able to play it during our ceremony. It came through so clearly and there was not a dry eye in the crowd. He was also able to play a youtube video that one of my uncles made during our ceremony on his TVs that he brings and that was a big hit! He kept the dance party going all night and we got comments from all of our guests saying how great Tim was and how much fun they had! They also bring TVs that play music videos of each song during the dance portion and during dinner they display all of the pictures your guests post using your hashtag! Everyone loved it! You will be so happy with yourself if you book Minnesota Wedding Party for your event!

He worked seamlessly with all the other vendors to keep the entire day running smoothly, eliminating all stress from me. From the ceremony to the reception, our day was perfect because of Tim's confidence and expertise. Tim prepared a livestream to help with social distancing and also game show activities in the case that we wouldn't be able to have a dance. Luckily, we did get to have a dance and it was better than I could've imagined - I actually heard many guests say they had never been to as fun of a dance in their lives. The floor was packed all night long. Oh, and did I mention he made sure every person in the wedding party had drinks all night long?! Tim is everything you need in a DJ and more - look no further for your next event!

Unfortunately Tim was working another wedding the same day as ours- but luckily we had Jeff come and be our DJ! He introduced himself right away the morning of the wedding- and he knew exactly what to do and when to do it! Tim filled him in on everything. Jeff was there from beginning to end and CONSTANTLY checked in on us to make sure everything was going well, ask any questions, and even brought us both a beer a few times when he noticed our hands were empty :) SO appreciated! He read the crowd very well throughout the whole day and always had the right kind of genre to play during different parts of the day. the dance started! The photo booth and photo book was also a fun touch that was exciting to look through with my husband the next day! He also had an awesome electric piano that he allowed my brother to use for the singing of our first dance at no additional cost! The reason I gave them a 3 star review is that it was very difficult to get in touch with Tim and as a very detail oriented person I was incredibly stressed not getting in touch after the original booking until about 2 weeks before our wedding. Another issue we had is that photos and videos of our wedding were not only posted on his business Instagram but also on his daughters (who was running the photo booth) personal Instagram. We had our wedding on a Friday so we got the photo booth for “free” however during dinner he asked me if I had a vase they could use for tips at the photo booth. When I told him I did not want there to be a tip jar as it would detour guests from using it he was very understanding and did not put it out. In my opinion that should have been discussed before hand and not while I was eating dinner during my wedding. All in all Tim is a great DJ and charges a very reasonable price. If I were too do it all again I i would still use Tim I would just have had talked through specifics a little more and asked that my wedding not be put on his daughter personal Instagram page.

MUSIC: Tim's brother, Jeff, was our DJ and helped every part of our night run smoothly. He was so thoughtful, checking in with my husband and me throughout the night to make sure we liked the music and how everything was going. He also made great recommendations to make the night fun and special (note: if he asks you to do one special thing before your last song, say yes - I don't want to spoil the surprise but it was a total highlight for us). Our dance floor was full all night long and we even had guests cheer for one more song as we wrapped up what we planned to be our last dance. Couldn't have asked for a better night. PHOTO BOOTH: We also got our photo booth through Tim and it was perfect. A great classic photo booth at a totally affordable price. Mel, the attendant, was the sweetest (we had multiple guests share great experiences with her) and she made a photo book for us with every photo strip taken that night (along with extra copies) - it was so fun to look through the next day!

r talk to once! Tim had everything covered and ran the day and night like a well-oiled machine. You can tell he truly enjoys his job and strives for perfection for each couples unique styles. He is flexible and accommodating but also has so much experience and knowledge to be realistic and straight forward with you on what will and will not work. His ability to keep people on the dance floor and enjoying themselves all night was uncanny. I remember one time where I had to pee and I literally RAN to the bathroom and RAN back just so I wouldn’t skip or miss a beat of the music and the fun happening with all my guests. It would be a mistake not to get Tim and his team to host/DJ your wedding. Trust me, you will not be disappointed! We love you Tim!

Tim's wife actually ran the photo booth the whole evening and she was such a great gal. Tim hosted the whole day once he arrived- he greeted guests, worked with the photographer on timing the day of, when we started to run short a few times he helped us adjust everything to make time for photos, he introduced the wedding party for the grand march, announced when we did our cake cutting and toasts, brought us waters throughout the day cause that was the last thing on our minds! He was awesome. You won't be disappointed. This is truly his passion, Tim arrived before us for every meeting we scheduled and he doesn't charge nearly what most DJs would for all that he brings that day. We highly recommend!
