utiful it is. As I continued to look through, I stumbled upon a page on their site that says “WE ARE NO LONGER HOLDING ANY WEDDINGS FOR THE 2020 SEASON”. Of course my heart immediately sank and I started to panic. I called them to see if what I had read was true, and unfortunately it is. I spoke to their new Wedding coordinator, who was very kind. She had only been in her new role for one day, and was not the coordinator who I booked the wedding with (that coordinator had resigned). Obviously this is not her fault. It is the fault of the owners/management. The worst part is their stupid excuse for canceling my wedding (which I’ve done a ton of planning for already) is that they are “financially restructuring”. All this info has still not come from anyone higher than the new wedding coordinator. I paid the rental fee in full because they offered 10% off by paying in full when I booked it. No one has been answering the phones to discuss how and when I will be getting my money back. Not only am I appalled that I found all this out by stumbling on it on their website, they do not even have the decency to call me and tell me themselves while they have my money. Also, I have a broken ankle and am currently handicapped and I now have to scramble to find a new venue that has the same date. This literally could not be happening at a worse time for me and they don’t care at all. I’m just disgusted.

here, and with the help of Kelly and her team, were given the guidance and freedom to make our day exactly as we imagined it. Definitely felt we got more than our money's worth here - a hidden gem of the Twin Cities!

d was always answered right away and we had no issues at all. The whole wedding area is lovely and the reception set up is great. My father has knee problems and they happily moved him from place to place with a golf cart, which was so helpful. Everyone there did what they could to help make things go as smooth as possible- and it did. We are so glad we chose to have our wedding at Minnetonka Orchards, it was perfect.

y. The bride and grooms barns were great (the bridal barn had A/C!!), the ceremony site was intimate, the outdoor games and bonfire pit were perfect and the reception tent was spacious and beautiful. We had our first dance outside on the cute dance floor, which made it even more unique and special. Everyone was entertained and we got so many compliments on how fun the day was! There were so many great places to take photos and plenty of space to set up our photo guestbook, s’mores, popcorn and candy bar and everything else. The fairy lights and flowers outside were beautiful and created a very special ambiance at night. Kelly was amazing to work with! She was so helpful with all of our questions and concerns and very responsive. She was very flexible and the staff was wonderful to work with as well. Everyone was so nice and made us feel so comfortable during the planning process and day of the wedding. They even let us set up a day early and pick things up the day after (since there were no events going on either day), which was a life saver! Thank you Kelly and staff for making our day absolutely wonderful!! We highly recommend Minnetonka Orchards!

jenga and all the other yard games.The beautiful screen house served as a perfect photo booth, the surrounding orchard was dreamy to explore for pictures, and the little twinkle lights in the trees were gorgeous as it got dark. Lighting the bonfire and having s'mores was a highlight! Kelly, like everyone says below, is amazing to work with. She was available and quick to answer any questions I had. I can't say enough good things about this place as a venue.

ckily we had a beautiful day and my goal of having everyone outside for most of the evening came true. The Orchard has many lawn games and we brought more of our own and they were all busy the entire afternoon. We used a food truck which was perfect for the setting, people could wander up, grab food, and return to their games or explore the Orchard. One of our biggest “musts” in looking for a venue was the ability to provide our own alcohol so that we could limit that expense. Minnetonka Orchards requires hiring a licensed bartender but you can bring your own liquor. We went to Total Wine and brought our own kegs and cases of wine at a fraction of the cost of catered alcohol. Lastly, and most importantly, Kelly was extremely easy to work with. She answered questions promptly and was very flexible with our timing on the day. We did everything ourselves and we were able to come and go throughout the morning to get everything set up for the afternoon. Her staff were very helpful and we heard so many compliments from our guests on the beauty and simplicity of the property and the fun they had exploring and playing lawn games. Huge thanks to Kelly and her team for making our party go off so smoothly!

xtremely accessible, all the way through Wedding Day. Our guests had nothing but rave reviews for the Orchard, and we also made good use of the on-site shuttle (which our guests loved). They have so many charming spots on the property and the place has so much personality. The Orchard allowed us to inject our own personal touches everywhere as well. The scenery is incredible, and it's so quiet for being not that far from town. On our wedding day we dealt with heavy rain in the morning and intense heat during the afternoon, and Kelly and her staff did everything right to make the day awesome in spite of the challenging weather. They were exceptionally easy to work with and provided an extremely memorable locale for our reception & ceremony. Two thumbs up from us!

p of the way. We also met Carly during the open house and requested she be our go-to gal on the big day and wow, she did not disappoint. It wouldn't have been the same without her! The site itself is just beautiful and come with so many perks, i.e. fire pit, hayride, yard games, backdrop and scenery. The actual wedding day went by in a blink... from set up to take down, the team took care of our every need, even stopping by at the end of the night to make sure we were having a good time. We look back so fondly at our day and cannot thank Minnetonka Orchards enough for memories. Highly recommended!

Cannot say enough about how elegant and beautiful our big day was and how my guests raved about the ceremony location in the woods, the beautifully draped tent, and light-lined yard! My guests had so much fun exploring the orchard as we did photos and dancing in the tent to our 10 piece band! This venue is above and beyond perfect- please check it out - you will be AMAZED!!

s full of flowers and greenery that are so well cared for, there is a small petting zoo that was a big hit with the guests, tons of lawn games, different areas to walk around and sit, and options for hay rides, fire pit, and so forth. Not only were out of town guests blown away, but even the local MN guests couldn't get over the venue. The venue also provides lots of extras if you want (vases, chalkboards, easels, etc) at no extra cost. Most importantly, Kelly - the owner - was indescribably helpful, accessible, knowledgeable, and communicative during our stressful year of wedding planning from across the country! She helped us every step of the way and was a calming voice of reason when we had various things go awry during planning (factors that were unrelated to the venue!). Kelly was so professional and on top of things, and trusting her throughout the whole planning process was beyond helpful. Carly, one of the many wonderful orchard staff members, even handmade our seating charts, welcome signs, etc. The day of the wedding, we had some unfortunate DJ/music issues and Kelly swooped right in to help, offering up her own speakers and music devices if needed. It's one week later and we still can't believe how much we lucked out with Kelly, the truly magical venue and the amazingly competent staff. We SO highly recommend Minnetonka Orchards if you're looking for an outdoor venue with a beautiful indoor/outdoor tented reception area (and great option for inclement weather).

re-ceremony. She rode off in her gator and came back with a perfect dress, saving the day :) The venue is always in great shape. I wish I had been notified that they had cut down the trees right behind the ceremony cite, but Kelly and her staff offered some plan b ceremony backdrops (though we ended up sticking with the original view, just without the tall trees). The bride and groom sheds are rustic, but clean and really tucked away (meaning you can blast music pretty loudly without anyone hearing). The staff was very helpful when we arrived at the venue and took care of everything we needed. They also did a great job at the end of the night with helping the clean up efforts. All in all, a great experience! I think this venue will continue to improve with time as they work out the kinks and keep upgrading the facilities (the new bathrooms are really nice!!).

Kelly told us at one point that she's always thinking about the bride and I can tell you from first hand experience that she is. Outside of the amazing staff, the orchard itself is fantastic. There is a ton of fun activities and the grounds are gorgeous. I would absolutely and without hesitation recommend the Minnetonka Orchards to anyone.

rstandably, bit hard to get a hold of, but when you do she is ready and willing to work with you, solve any concerns, and make the wedding exactly what you want it to be. They also were very flexible with allowing us to set up and then get stuff after the wedding, which I am so grateful for. It allowed us to have a full weekend of fun with our families. Everyone loved the orchard, from kids to grandparents. I plan to go out every year just to visit (and pick apples!) and remember our amazing wedding there.

the fire pit and small nearby building, the flowers, everything was gorgeous and perfect. There was so much to do here! Trails to walk on and orchards to walk through, the fire pit, horseshoe game, other yard games, dancing. It was amazing. I was told after that everyone was pleased by the location. The only downfall is that they made it really difficult to set up ahead of time by restricting times and availability. They also don't let you stay very late. That was another disappointment. You also can't have music outside because of music restrictments in the city which isn't their fault but was still disappointing. It was near perfect but not quite. I highly recommend it. The people running it there are incredible and so nice and willing to work with you and are very communicative. Just wish it hadn't been so stressful to get everything set up and ready ahead of time because of the restricting times. Same with clean up and restricting times. We had to end earlier than desired just to clean up.

to decide!! It was in the tent we go!! I had about 200 guests and the tent held everyone perfectly! It was sprinkling on and off all day but during the ceremony, for the whole ceremony it down poured. It rained like crazy. It was sooooo nice to have the tent for a rain back up. It's a must!! The rain actually made it very intimate and romantic in the tent. Also everyone was so easy to work with and was so flexible!! After our ceremony we had fresh apple donut and coffee and our guest could not even handle themselves. They were so happy to have a delicious donut and a cup of coffee!! We got so many compliments on how beautiful the location was and the kids loved the petting zoo!! It is a great place for kids to burn off some steam before the the reception!! The Minnetonka Apple Orchard made for a beautiful wedding photos because it is a beautiful venue. I cannot say enough good things about them. They really worked to make our day perfect, and it was!! I am so happy to have had our ceremony there!!

ing and getting everything ready for the wedding! Minnetonka Orchards reception includes a giant tent from Ultimate Events. We also had the option of having hayrides there and it was one of the best decisions we made because everyone loved it. We also had a bonfire it during the night which is perfect to keep everyone cozy and warm. We rented some heaters from Ultimate Events to keep everyone warm in the tent but the tent was already pretty nice because it is enclosed and it has a hard floor. Minnetonka Orchards also provided some fun lawn games including a giant human-sized Jenga, Horshoe, and bean bag toss. We are so blessed to have our wedding reception at the Minnetonka Orchards! It was the best day ever and so beautiful! And the staff is very friendly and very helpful!

tent has an updated look with new floors that makes it way more modern and picturesque. Kelly was wonderful to work with and figured out how to cool our dessert since the 90 degree weather was melting the frosting off. I gave a four star rating on service because I had a few miscommunications with the contact I had been discussing my plans with, but it was quickly ameliorated by Kelly. The owners came and greeted us toward the end of the night and were absolutely delightful. We had a great time at Minnetonka Orchards and would recommend it to anyone planning a wedding!

any compliments-people said it was the best wedding they've ever been to! Michele and her husband were always accessible if I had any questions or concerns, and they were present during both the set up and take down to make sure everything went smoothly.
