ey’ve ever seen at a wedding! Alex had such cool transitions between songs and did an amazing job of gauging what would get the crowd going. Our dance floor was packed the entire night! As PSU alumni, we had mentioned that we wanted to enter the reception to a PSU song. Alex took that idea and ran with it - creating an AWESOME mashup of PSU fight songs and even included the lion’s roar sound from the stadium! Our guests absolutely loved it. Throughout the entire planning process, Alex was extremely helpful and responsive. He uses a user-friendly website that includes a thorough questionnaire to understand our music preferences, must-play songs, and do-not play songs. Our guests also loved the photobooth that Alex provided. The photos turned out a little blurry, but I think that’s just because of the neon sign that we chose to hang in the backdrop. He also brought such great energy to the wedding and was truly a joy to work with and have on the mic!

't exaggerate on that statement if I tried. While we were planning, my husband and I agreed that all we wanted out of our reception was for guests to have a lot of fun, and to be on the dance floor, and that was definitely the case! Alex was so lovely to work with throughout the planning process - he's easy to talk to, accessible, full of great ideas, and so organized. He was there early to set up for the ceremony and reception, and kept the party going all night! He (and the packed dance floor) has been the most complimented aspect of our wedding day, and I would recommend him to anyone!!

during the dancing and after saying how good of a DJ he was and how they never saw so many people dance on a wedding dance floor for so long. Cant say enough good things about him honestly. Professional and curteous as well with anything we wanted to do as a couple like a "final dance" where he had to stay a bit longer than normal, was not a problem. I would hire him for any wedding if you want your guests to have a fantastic night.

We were able to meet virtually with AJ twice in the month before our wedding, and he was completely comfortable and prepared when he arrived at the venue. The music he played all day was exactly the mix of genres that we were looking for, the flow of the event kept our guests entertained between each element, and we heard rave reviews from everyone who was there. Alex knew that we had met at PSU and created a very special moment on the dance floor for us - he played the zombie nation song and our friends and family went wild surrounding us with the "We Are Penn State" chant on the dance floor. It is one of those moments we never expected and will remember forever. Thank you creating such a special moment for us and for delivering an experience beyond our expectations!

After the wedding, we received sooo many comments from family members and friends about how fun the music was and how it reminded them of being at the Gaff (which was our goal!). You can't go wrong hiring Alex and his team!

who threw the party of a lifetime. He made our wedding reception so much fun and so memorable! All of our guests of all ages had such a great time and mentioned how much they enjoyed our DJ. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire night and we really loved how he incorporated the different genres of music that we wanted as well as all of our requests. We especially loved how he incorporated various Penn State songs and the Penn State pep rally that broke out as a result. Alex nailed every detail, played the best songs and made sure everything was perfect! His team also did a fantastic job with uplighting and ceremony sound. Alex was also always very professional, quick to get back to us and very organized with great attention to detail. The Mint DJ events planning portal also made planning easy. and requests and (literally) didn't miss a beat! The dance floor was hopping all evening! A text I received from a guest the day after our wedding: "Did you give your DJ a list of songs or is he just that awesome at picking a great selection?" My response: He's that awesome. :)

we basically only said please don't play Ed Sheeran or Bruno Mars) and he read that crowd like he had known us for years. The dance floor did not clear at any moment. He kept us up and moving the entire time and he never played any chicken dances or electric slides. Not only was he an amazing DJ but he was also just a really nice guy. When it was time for my husband and I to be introduced, we didn't actually have a song chosen (yes, I know, what?) well, Alex not only took care of the plate and glass that I was holding prior to our entrance (I was hungry) but he also chose a perfect Penn State song that really set the tone for the rest of the wedding. He was very easy to work with, he arrived promptly, and followed every request we had (we also did not allow requests). Alex really made us feel like the wedding was about us and us having a good time. We are so thankful to have chosen him and would absolutely recommend him for any event!

lex was amazing! He had the dance floor packed all night and hit every song Rebecca and I had asked for. A perfect blend of songs for every generation at the wedding, we kept getting told how much fun people had at the wedding because they danced the whole night. Mint DJ Events and Alex made our night perfect and we can't thank him enough!

owner, and never heard back: Hi Alex, I usually don't do things like this or like to cause issues, but I just have to say, that your DJ Kevin should really find a new job. My overall experience with him was pretty poor, and that's not including the total of 3 missed meetings I had with your overall company, and the miscommunication of which DJ was assigned to my wedding, oh, and being told that I still owed a balance even though it was paid in full 5 MONTHS IN ADVANCE. I read some reviews online that specifically included Kevin, and I had the same issues. My mistake for not seeing them before my wedding. The biggest thing: he didn't even play music while my bridal party entered. They asked him to play the train song so that they could all come in at once, yeah he just started to yell their names without music so they felt like they had to go. My bridal party told me that was extremely humiliating. When we went in to the speeches the mic was cracking a lot and then he didn't even give the mic to the guy that was to do the blessing. I was extremely upset about that. The man doing the blessing started to walk up to him, but then he started to announce tables and it would have been very awkward to give the blessing while people are at the buffet table. I specifically had on my paper who was to be giving the prayer from the bridal party table after the speeches. Then right after dinner he didn't even play music you could dance to for a sold hour. People had to go up to him multiple times to tell him what to play. Then my brother asked for some country music and he said that he wasn't going to play any more country bc people can't dance to it.. well if he actually read the information I wrote on my website, he would have seen that country and classic rock are the two main genres we like. Not saying he had to play it all night, but I heard him say he wasn't playing anymore and that was only halfway through the night. WE ARE IN CENTRAL PA, hick country. Know your crowd (and read the HUGE online survey I had to fill out)! Don't get me wrong, he played a lot of great dance songs, but he also played a lot of remixes and mash-ups too. My friends were bummed about that cuz ya know, we aren't in a club. We did go a half an hour later, but I feel that would not have happened if he started as strong in the beginning like he did at the end. Definitely not worth the $100 I paid for 30 more minutes. It just wasn't an extremely positive experience like you would expect from a DJ with a high price tag near a high populated area like State College. I would put it at 2 out of 5. He was not interactive with the crowd whatsoever, just so disappointing. I will be writing a review and unfortunately it will reflect everything in this email. Regards, Janell Kevin also had to come up to me multiple times to ask me questions that should have been asked weeks before the wedding, but nope, I didn't talk to him until 2 days before. I was never told who my DJ was and when I contacted one of the other DJs via email I was told that the owner would contact me within a couple days, but he never did.

The online tools that Mint provides allowed us to provide suggestions of our likes and dislikes (especially since we have wide-ranging musical taste), as well as helping to jumpstart conversations about what we wanted the feel of our reception to be. All of our guests had a wonderful time, as made possible with AJ's musical stylings!

e online planning tool was very easy to use and made planning all of the music extremely easy. It was clear from talking with him on the phone that he really cared about every detail and getting to know our likes/dislikes, and we felt totally comfortable even though we didn't meet him in person until our wedding day! Everything at both the ceremony and reception ran smoothly and we received SO many compliments on the music from wedding guests!
