The pork was literally the most tender I have ever tasted, and Greg definitely ensured he sourced quality cuts of meat. Finally, he worked with us to rent a fryer and make French fry cones for the late night snack! His style definitely blends the best parts of French and American Southern cuisine. serving staff professional. What really impressed me was that Chef Greg was present and able to answer questions about menus, venues he services and special requests. His lovely wife was there to schedule appointments to sit down and discuss menu options. We made an appointment and looked at his website. My fiancé and I were able to draft our dream menu for cocktail hour and dinner. After discussing options with Chef Greg we made our decisions. Next came the tasting! We went to Chef's kitchen and he served everything from hors d'oeuvres to dessert. From the beef Wellington appetizer to the prime rib with duchess potatoes and Yorkshire pudding the food was amazing. Chef was able to accommodate our vegetarian guests as well. We had so many compliments on the food. We wanted to serve a special meal to our guests and Mirabelle Catering surpassed our expectations. and budget. Their staff members are all professionally dressed and respectful. The bride is served first and a staff member holds her plate, serves the food for her, and walks the plate to her table, to prevent a mess on the gown.
If you end up booking with Mirabelle's after the tasting, then the tasting is free. The tasting included LARGE samples of all of the food on the menu that you created for your event (we ended up with so much food that we took a lot home and had our family taste it as well). After the tasting, Gregoire was able to make changes according to your requests.
We created a heavy hors d'oeuvres buffet menu for $12 per person which included:
1 hour of served treats during cocktail time:
- Fresh Fruit and Cheese Skewers
- Miniature Hot Brown Pinwheels
- Mini Pizzas
The Buffet included:
- Caesar Salad
- Fresh Veggies (with Hummus and Ranch)
- Baked Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Pita Chips
- Barbecue Meatballs
- Country Ham Biscuits
- Grilled Chicken Pesto Skewers
- Mini Twice Baked Potatoes
We also needed:
4 serves at $15/hour (6 hour minimum)
3 assistant chefs (6 hour minimum)
In total we paid approximately $3,000 for food that looked beautiful, and was delicious. Mirabelle's also provided high quality plastic wear and napkins.
