I'm usually not the type of person to leave a negative review, but in this case I think it's necessary. Let me say, Miranda is a nice person, I just feel her coordination services ...left a lot to be desired and were not worth the money I paid.
A few examples ...
1. She was 30 min. late to our first call;
2. She didn't complete the reception layout within the time she promised. This led to delays for my other vendors;
3. She sent several texts to me the week of my wedding about things I needed to do - she didn't ask or remind me, she TOLD me. Each time, I immediately addressed the issue; but in most cases I had to wait until that time because of the delay with our layout. Additionally, she continued to TELL me to do these things even after they were done. This was stress I didn't need the week of my wedding;
4. She failed to successfully lead the rehearsal - my entire bridal party left super confused about what to do and when;
5. She was freaking out on the day of my wedding, because the rental company didn't arrive on time. Apparently, this is a common practice when it's raining (reduces time the stuff might be rained on), but she was unaware of this. She had my dad frantically calling the company ... this was HER JOB! She shouldn't have made this my dad's problem;
6. She had no idea where any of the rentals or decor were supposed to be in the reception. Granted, we made some changes due to the rain, but Miranda kept pulling my mom away to the reception area to tell her what to do. I barely got to spend any time with my mom, because she kept pulling her away - I'll never get that back. I really think there should have been a better solution to this.
7. Because of the rain, we relocated the ceremony. This resulted in some questions about where my bridal party would stand. My groom pretty much made a decision, and I assured everyone I did not care. In fact, I told them to just make a decision - I had so much else on my mind, but Miranda kept asking me about it! I did not want that stress;
8. Similar to above, there was some confusion about when each member of the bridal party would walk down the aisle. For some reason Miranda didn't or couldn't give them a cue? It turned into some huge thing, and finally my groom had to just tell her - give them a cue. I really can't understand what the issue was here;
9. When she was lining the bridal party up for the entrance into the ceremony, she gathered them all to prep them ... but she FORGOT THE BRIDE AND GROOM! We walked outside and everyone else was lined up and ready to go;
10. Similar to above, she wanted us to enter the reception before my MIL was inside! Maybe she didn't know my mIL wasn't inside at first, but my groom had to argue with her about it ... not okay;
11. There were SO MANY time during the reception that we could not find Miranda or her assistant ... I have no idea where they were, but I definitely don't think we should have had to track her down for critical moments like the dances;
12. There were elements of my wedding that she didn't handle at all - i.e. the cake was on the dance floor, on a table with rollers to be rolled away after we cut it. She didn't make sure this happened.
I could go on ... I really think Miranda has a long way to go to justify the expense of her services. I should note too that my groom, my mom, my dad, my entire bridal party, and even some relatives made comments about how unprofessional and unhelpful she was ...
