Miss Lucy's Kitchen

I called Marc to see if he'd be willing to ship us some food for our anniversary dinner. He said he would but he couldn't ship it because he was worried the food wouldn't stay fresh if shipped - and that he would be happy to drive it to us (two hours away). I tried to talk him out of it but he insisted. Our anniversary dinner was incredibly special - the food, delicious as always - and I can't think Marc and Miss Lucy's enough for going way above and beyond for our special occasion. We are and will continue to be lifetime fans!

and drinks over a month later, you know they absolutely crushed it at the wedding. Our planner Kate gave us a list in the very beginning to help us search for different caterers…with the preface that we couldn’t go wrong with Miss Lucy’s. We decided to reach out, and from that moment on, it was like we gained another family member who was there throughout every single little step of the wedding process. Marc was outrageously accommodating to our every whim and want – he even drove to NYC multiple times to meet my husband to discuss details because we live in Pennsylvania and it was quite a hike for us to go back and forth to the Hudson Valley. He’s hilarious, extremely kind and caring, and when it comes to food…you just can’t beat him. We visited Miss Lucy’s Kitchen in Saugerties, NY frequently over our two-ish year long process, and every single time, he welcomed us with open arms, helped us figure out the details behind the food and the drinks…and jumped wholeheartedly into every other little detail you could possibly imagine including picking tables, chairs, different bars, and even helping us with floor plans and the logistics of the day. You seriously aren’t going to find another caterer that’s willing to be so involved in your big day – he’s beyond professional when it comes to getting everything done on time…and doing it well. Marc also knows a lot of the vendors in the area, and works well with them, so having him as a part of our wedding team was quite frankly one of the best decisions we made for that whole day and night. We cannot thank him and his team enough for everything they did to help us throw the biggest party of our lives. He welcomed not only us when we visited his restaurant from out of town, but our family members as well when we happened to bring them along. The food, the drinks, the service was always top notch – I wish I could give them more than five stars. Our family and friends devoured every morsel of Miss Lucy’s divine cuisine and pretty much ran both bars dry – the cocktails were out of this world! If you truly want an unforgettable experience, whether it is for the food, the drinks, the accommodations, or even the friendship you will inevitably form, do yourself a huge favor and work with Marc and Miss Lucy’s Kitchen! atskills region for our wedding and we were pleasantly surprised to find that Miss Lucy's did weddings. Since we have a cottage in the area we often stopped in to Miss Lucy’s for brunch, and always took friends family as we loved the food. After meeting Marc for the first time we knew that we wanted to work with him. Not only was Marc a really nice and friendly guy, he was really invested in helping us make the menu and day that we wanted. Marc spent the time to get to know both of us, our backgrounds and our favourite foods and was able to put together an amazing menu that fit with the casual outdoor party vibe of our wedding. Marc not only just did the catering but used his local knowledge and connections to point us to other great vendors in the area. He even helped us come up with the layout for our outdoor wedding and worked with the rental companies to ensure that we had just the right amount of everything we needed. On the actual day Marc and his team arrived right on time and got everything set up outside even in the middle of a torrential downpour. The cocktails, food and service were amazing, all of his staff was super friendly and very professional. Our favourite part of the night was when Marc setup a private dinner of our favourite foods and cocktails aside for us so that Grace and I could enjoy a little downtime to eat and drink before heading back out to the party. Working with Marc was more like working with a friend instead of just a business transaction. We cannot overstate how much we really enjoyed the whole experience of working with Marc and Miss Lucy’s kitchen. We continue to visit Marc when we’re in the area and still make a point of getting to Miss Lucy’s for brunch, because we still love the food.

an array of vegetarian options, which all of our 150 guests loved, he takes great attention to detail and is always organized with lists ready to get things accomplished as soon as possible. Wherever possible he took things of my plate and dealt with them himself. Whether it was with my tent company or venue, both whom he was working with for the first time, he was patient, transparent, cost-effective, and completely independent and self-sufficient when appropriate. Marc is a no-bullshit guy with an intense personality, which you can certainly appreciate when planning your own wedding. We now consider him our friend, and look forward to eating his food again sometime at the restaurant. Shout-out to Marc's incredible staff as well. Carol rules! And everyone else was amazing that day too, helping with anything and everything under the tent and by the pool before food even began. They helped perfect the tables to my very specific standards, which I could not have done myself. Then, when things got rolling, as servers and bartenders, they were simply 100%. Thanks for everything, Marc & Miss Lucy's team. We had a perfect day.
