I cannot say enough good things about Mission Ranch and the Mission Ranch event staff! This place has always been special to my family and I, so I knew I wanted to get married here...
. It is truly a stunning, one of a kind property that you have to see and experience to truly understand.
The staff, including Rosie, Bailey, and Michael, were just so professional and accommodating throughout the entire wedding process. They even help with day-of coordination which is a huge benefit to having your wedding there. Since they have the restaurant, catering is done through them as well as decor thru their rental partners. This made everything super easy for me.
We stayed on the property with some of our family and bridal party, and working with Michael in group sales was a breeze. Him and his staff got everyone checked in and helped me hand out welcome bags. The rooms were clean and comfortable across the board!
Now, for the wedding reception. The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I already love Mission Ranch's restaurant and knew their food was great, but I wasn't sure how it could possibly translate into 150 plates of food. Well, it did. Countless guests came up to me after saying it was the best wedding food they've ever had. The waitstaff was also awesome, attentive, and super professional. Big shout out to them!
Bar service and drinks were also awesome - drinks were top notch.
Pricing was, in my opinion, super reasonable for being in Carmel and the quality and service you get. Overall, lovely property, great service, amazing food and drinks. Thank you to everyone at Mission Ranch for hosting our big day!
If you're thinking about having your wedding at Mission Ranch, JUST DO IT. Best decision ever!

The venue is truly STUNNING. Many guests said it was the most beautiful wedding venue they'd ever been to.
The food... SO GOOD! We wanted to have a pescatarian wedding, and even with those limitations the chefs were able to craft mouth-watering appetizers and entrees. We got TONS of positive feedback about the food as well!
Best of all, there are 29 rooms on the property - ample room for friends and family to stay together. You automatically get a hotel block of 10 rooms when you book your event, but we got lucky and were able to book several more, which made the whole weekend extremely fun!
Tip: we stayed in the honeymoon cottage and the space was perfect for hosting our morning-after brunch.
Thank you Mission Ranch for making our special day so wonderful and memorable!
You’re hard pressed to find someone who knows Carmel and doesn’t know about the beauty and charm of Mission Ranch. When I started planning my wedding, the main concern I had was of...
cadence - how do we, my husband and I and our guests, journey through the event? Mission Ranch had the answer.
With a ceremony spot onsite overlooking the gorgeous sheep pastures and Carmel River Beach, a party barn for cocktail hour, a large barn for seated dinner, and a return to the party barn for dancing and cake - this space had cadence. We were even lucky enough that the pianist and bar tenders were up for staying late so we could enjoy the restaurant space as an after party. Also, my husband and I stayed in the honeymoon cottage, so instead of a grand send off, our guests lined the path from the party barn to the cottage where we had a short moment to catch our breath and change our shoes before heading back to the restaurant to sing Piano Man, Rocket Man, and even Breaking Free from high school musical. It was perfect. Each space had room for guests of all types - the ones who craved quiet conversation could convene outside by the fire pits and the ones who wanted to tear up the dance floor could do that as well.
Consistently, I worried about the weather, as California had been battered with quite a few atmospheric rivers. And yet, we were blessed with 3 straight days of beautiful sunshine for our wedding weekend.
Mission Ranch helped us make every use of every moment. On Friday, we wanted to do a Pickleball tournament on their beautiful and massive courts and it was truly the Pickleball picnic of my dreams. Thank God we didn’t have alcohol there because we had Il Fornaio and Hog’s Breath to look forward to that evening.
I haven’t even talked about the joys of being tucked away in the farm house with the fire place going and our best friends and family spending some final moments together for the ceremony, it was perfect. I sat by the fire and my best friends and Jack’s best friends co-mingled on the wrap around porch, in the living room, and the gardens.
One might be nervous about getting married with a public and active restaurant and tennis complex near - but receiving the congratulations of smiling strangers cheers-ing to me as I rounded the corner before I walked down the aisle was one of my favorite memories.
Gosh all I’ve done is talk about the space, now let me get to the staff! There were, what felt like, a million people staffed for the wedding and the service was reflective of that - simply incredible. They served generous wine pours and efficient food delivery that tasted quite literally exactly like our tasting for 4, but scaled to 170+. The wedding and event master, Rosie, was running around ensuring that we had the intimacy and privacy we desired, but also remaining present and enjoying the festivities with us. I loved working with her on this event.
So in short - if you’re thinking mission ranch, you absolutely should do it. While you’re at it, do your rehearsal around lunchtime and plan a pickleball tournament. Savor the sheep and include a sheep theme to many of your wedding elements including your invitation suite and mother of the bride gifts. And inquire about an after party at the restaurant with the pianist, if available. I will be laughing endlessly about my wedding guests trying to “bahhhhh” at the sheep to get them to come closer for a picture. It was the best weekend of my life.
I truly cannot say enough great things about Mission Ranch! Not only did we plan the wedding from across the country (we live in DC) but also did so throughout the pandemic, which ...
included a postponement. Rosie, Bailey, and Barbara were incredibly helpful throughout the whole thing. They answered every single question I asked, no matter how specific, and were so helpful with their expert guidance along the way. When it came time to the day itself, they truly knocked it out of the park. During the rehearsal, Rosie kept our groomsmen in line (no small feat) and on the day of, she made sure everything ran smoothly. And the venue itself is STUNNING! All of our guests were raving about how gorgeous the setting was. I'd choose this venue and the team again and again - they were the best and made our day extra special.
I could not more highly recommend Mission Ranch as a wedding venue. The team at Mission Ranch made our wedding day an absolute dream! A huge thank you to Allie, Rebecca and Barbara...
for their help in bringing our vision to life, and for making sure everything ran smoothly the day of. There was not a detail that they didn't think of, and they were always available and accommodating when I had questions throughout the process. The venue is absolutely breathtaking. It does not get better than Mission Ranch in Carmel! ALL of the food was delicious and the chefs really take care in making sure every menu item is just as you'd like it. They have a wonderful list of preferred vendors in the area that know the venue really well, which made planning very easy. If I could do it all over again, I would not change a single thing. That's how happy we were with Mission Ranch!
Dream come true wedding! The team is friendly, easy to work with, and so on top of everything. They handled it all with ease and professionalism, and I didn't have to worry about...
a thing, it all just flowed so smoothly. The guests were so impressed with the venue, and the experience was all around perfect! Would do it all over again exactly the same with them!
We had our wedding at Mission Ranch in October 2016 and the day was absolutely perfect. A "day of wedding coordinator" is part of the "package" when you do an event at this venue a...
nd that is SOOO key to making the event go smoothly. Rosie and Barbara were a dream to work with! They keep you organized, give you lists of vendors to make it easy, organize with the on-site caterers, and they are very responsive!
The location speaks for itself. It is stunning and guests were amazed at the beauty of it. We were sold on it the minute we stepped foot there. And even though not terribly convenient for out of town guests to travel to, they were blown away by this venue, and found all their travels worth it. They had a great time exploring Carmel and the surrounding area, as well (of course).
The food was also spectacular (we chose the boneless beef short ribs and the salmon) and we got a lot of great feedback about everything.
If you are debating about whether to do your event here, you won't be disappointed by booking at Mission Ranch! (But better hurry because they book up FAST!)
Our August wedding at Mission Ranch in Carmel was the best; better than we imagined. The team at Mission Ranch Events was spectacular. They coordinated everything with the vendors ...
and made the day of flawless. I did not have to worry about a single thing, which is rare for me. I cannot say thank you enough for the perfect execution of our wedding day. Even with some mishaps and last minute changes (a wedding crasher, running behind on photos) the team at Mission Ranch made sure everything worked out. Our guests raved that the venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious and the service was amazing. Would highly recommend Mission Ranch as a wedding venue!

nning down to the clean up of the reception. They answered any and all questions and made sure that everything went according to plan. The event staff were also amazing, friendly and energetic. It was truly amazing and couldn't have asked for a better location and group of people to work with to ensure the big day was perfect.
The Mission Ranch provides a breathtaking backdrop, impeccable service, and high-quality ingredients, all at a very reasonable cost for the typically pricey Carmel. We had our wedd...
ing reception in the smaller patio barn, so people were free to move between the indoor festivities and the outdoor patio, which provided impeccable views of the ocean and Pt. Lobos in the distance. The staff were helpful, efficient, and never got in the way. It's clear they run a tight ship here. And the food was incredible. We were a little disappointed they did not offer tastings beforehand, but were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes and high quality of the entrees and apps. Highly recommend the Mission Ranch for a classy, fun, and tasty celebration.
Not only is this location breathtakingly beautiful, but the service and food was 5 star. They made sure that everything was perfect for us the whole night. The only reason I do not...
give it the full 5 stars is due to the time limit, they only allow 5 hours total. We would have stayed all night, had we the chance. Everyone had a more than memorable time.
Mission Ranch is an incredible place to host both your wedding ceremony and reception. I could go on for days about all of the little details that make MR the perfect place to get ...
married but I'll focus on the highlights.
Service - second to none!!! Jennifer, Michelle, Dawn and Joanne know what they are doing. No detail was forgotten. Everything was on time.
Lodging - our entire wedding party stayed at the ranch and had a great time; we rented out the entire farm house for the weekend to give everyone a place to gather the day of and after the bars close. It was nice to have a private bathroom to use (in the Farm House) because the restaurant guests crowded to the public bathroom during the reception.
Venue - picture perfect! The sheep add an element of charm to the event. The flowers are gorgeous.
Value - we looked at six other venues in Carmel before deciding on MR. Compared to the other local venues, you can't beat the value you get at MR. It was half the price of Bernardus, Holeman Ranch, and Holly Farms but we still felt like we had a five star wedding. And the food was FANTASTIC!!!
I could not recommend Mission Ranch more highly.
A very beautiful location and very nice staff. We had the ceremony outside on the lawn overlooking the sheep pastures. The reception was held inside an historic barn with an attach...
ed patio that also overlooked the sheep meadows and a slight view of the Pacific ocean. Views were amazing! The only downside about using the Mission Ranch was the many, many, many rules and restrictions they have. You have to use their caterer for any food and their vendor for any and all flowers and decorations. I found that to be a bit stifling. I had to forego many of of the ideas I had originally wanted to use at my wedding. However, despite their unwillingness to bend the rules, in the end I was satisfied with everything...
The place(hotel)is owned by Clint Eastwood and has both classic and casual atmosphere. There's a reception site and ceremony site either indoor or outside; so that, people can go ...
out and breath a fresh ocean air our go inside and enjoy music and dance or etc... They have an amazing bar, which might be interesting for guys, and some bartenders can serve any types of Cocktails. It nice for a couple who doesn't like 'cheezy' or 'frou frou', but at the same time, want to be a bit elegant and conservative ambiance.;Downside is that a couple can not choose their own florist or cater. The hotel has their own florist and cater.
